This was the result of my monthly Artifact Rumble poll, a themed poll for magic items and constructs; sometimes it’s Magic: the Gathering based, but I also regularly do magic items inspired by things like DMC, GoW, Fable, Elder Scrolls, and more.

Arcanatober Day 10– Urchin’s Lockbox

Derived from the 9th card of the deck, The Hermit, this lockbox is the exact sort of thing a player would want to get their hands on if they plan to try and infiltrate the sort of high society that doesn’t take well to strangers. That, or maybe a cult, a secret society, a military organization... Of course, it’s also the exact thing a crafty DM might want to use if they’re planning to do the classic “the prince is an imposter!” story but feel like doppelgangers are a little played out
