What are some of your favourite places in video games? For me I absolutely am in love with Ishgard and now also Sharlayn in final fantasy 14. They just really capture the imagination and are quite atmospheric.

Sorry for the picspam lol, but I got heavily into Sims: Final Fantasy last night to de-stress, and had a blast with it. Still a huge WIP -- there’s a lot I want to add, and I haven’t even touched the basement. But I think it’s shaping up well, considering I do very little glitching.

Theme: The residence of an Ishgardian who bought a beachfront vacation house to escape the snow, but still decorated the place like his homeland. (With plants, since a lot of Ishgardians lament the Calamity killing all their green.)

This is just the reception and lounge area, I’m making the downstairs the actual living quarters. (With a tucked away shrine that may or may not have some dragon iconography whoops.)

For those confused or woundering about the horse necklace its a old family necklace that's been passed down the family over the years. Belonged to great great grandma & over the years it's been given to great grandma, grandma (great grandma only had boys so when grandpa got married she gave it to grandma as a wedding gift) then to mom & to me when I was little. It means a lot to me even though over the years parts of it have chipped off/fallen off & I'm happy that it was incorporated into the character sheet. Thank you kukurubean! This means a lot to me & makes me very happy 😁

yes i'm so sorry i should have made that clear *.* yeah instead of me playing as game's original characters, i can play as me or a customize a character to make it look like me so i can at least pretend it's me. ^^ i've never rlly played vgs much cus i was broke jsdjjs but i'm starting to get interested in them again recently ^^ and somehow playing as other characters don't do much for me

i get u!!! most games w character creation do give you a background with varying detail from game to game but beyond that it’s free real estate so off the top of my head:

saints row, baldur’s gate, dragon age/mass effect (they give u a last name and a vague origin based on species but u get to pick some details in mass effect. da2 is pretty specific on the backstory tho), fallout, pillars of eternity (not the most in depth visually but still u can use ur imagination since you don’t really see yourself up close that much), skyrim, bloodborne, diablo, stardew valley (ascustomisable as a pixel game can be but in some ways that’s a good thing), nioh......... that’s all i got right now but i do know there’s a lot of online games that let u run free w customisation like final fantasy (xiv??? i think??), elder scrolls and black desert (which i think is free??) but i haven’t played them so don’t quote me on it
