Happy Makers Monday!

Jorvik Viking festival finale- York, UK

Midguard!! The Viking festival was super fun and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it and meet so many great vendors and demonstrators and people! Thank you to every one who came! It was absolutely fantastic.

It’s York Comic-Con on Sunday ahhhh I could’ve done Requiem cosplay if we could stay longer than Friday, oh my days. And the Viking festival. Screaming.

That would’ve been such a special thing. Next year!

Here’s the slightly less chaotic counterpart of this photo - a loosely viking-inspired outfit I threw together from 1. a hood and legwraps I borrowed, 2. a tunic I bought at the event, and 3. things I had laying around the tent (belt, pants & shoes)

I was lucky enough to spend the day at a renaissance festival yesterday! Had fun interacting with everyone and taking pictures with those brave enough to approach my group! 💜

My outfit for the Ohio Renaissance Festival and for Halloween. Sort of a blend of historical viking and fantasy adventurer. @tomatodragon said I looked like a Skyrim character, and a guy at the faire tried to sell me a Mjolnir amulet while making a joke about burning monasteries, so I guess it was successful.

I've found that re-enactors are much more likely to look down the camera when they know the person taking the photo, and there is sometime a percent chance of sillyness alongside it (Jorvik Viking Festival, York 2024)
