性欲うさぎ (Seiyoku Usagi) - 甘い暴力 (Amai Bouryoku)
ENG + ESP lyric translation under the cut 🐰
Tumblr media
★;; English
'Cause I'm a rabbit! 🐰
I'm a bun-bun-bunny, see?
I'm lonely
Bun-bun-bunny, see? don't let go pyon pyon pyon pyon
Who dies when they leave it alone? (the rabbit)
Who is vulnerable to changes in the environment (the rabbit)
Who has it feelings written all over it's face? (the rabbit)
Who's in heat all year round it's you, the rabbit.
Good, good, good
Pyon pyon pyon pyon, what, what, what
Not good?
Good, good, good
Pyon pyon pyon pyon
What, what, what?
Nothing good!
Aah, wicked
Deeply jealous
By that strong libido
'Cause I'm a rabbit! 🐰
I'm a bun-bun-bunny, see?
I'm lonely
Bun-bun-bunny hey, I fell in love with you like that
Bun-bun-bunny
I want to pour out my love until it's annoying
Bun-bun-bunny
Please don't leave me, pyon pyon pyon
Who has a strong desire of approval? (the rabbit)
Who hates that sense of familiarity? (the rabbit)
Eat well, sleep well, you're lazy, you're a rabbit.
Who does nothing but having naughty fantasies?
it's you, the rabbit.
Good, good, good
Pyon pyon pyon pyon
What, what, what
Why isn't it good?
Good, good, good
Pyon pyon pyon pyon
What, what, what
As you like to keep living
Sinking straight away
Wherever you go, i'll be there following you
'Cause I'm a rabbit! 🐰
You're acting like a child, don't say things like that.
Bun-bun-bunny, hey, I'm going to be tight
Bun-bun-bunny, hey, i miss you like that
i want to be annoying
[The Rabbit song]
A lonely rabbit
Alighlty naughty rabbit
With red eyes
Pyon pyon pyon
Go over there pyon pyon pyon
I'm not crying pyon pyon pyon
Over there pyon pyon pyon
The rabbit that got tired
Little naughty rabbit
'Cause I'm a rabbit! 🐰
I'm a bun-bun-bunny, see? I won't let you go
I don't like being lonely
I fell in love with you like that
It's so annoying
I want to pour my love
Bun-bun-bunny
I won't let you go, pyon pyon pyon
translation taken from my other blog, i fixed a few things and this one is better okay. Also i changed the "usagi-chan" for "bunny".

Cone-cone-conejito, ¿ves?, no me dejes ir pyon pyon pyon pyon
Bien, bien, bien
Pyon pyon pyon pyon
Qué, qué, qué
¿no está bien?
Bien, bien, bien
Pyon pyon pyon pyon

¡Nada está bien!
Aah, maldito
Profundamente celoso
Por ese fuerte líbido
¡Por qué, soy un conejo! 🐰
Soy un cone-cone-coneconejito, ¿ves?
Estoy solo
Cone-cone-conejito oye, me enamoré de ti
Cone-cone-conejito
Quiero derramar mi amor hasta que sea molesto

Por favor no me dejes, pyon pyon pyon
¿Quién desea la aprobación de los demás? (el conejo)
¿Quién odia esa familiaridad? (el conejo)
Come bien, duerme bien, eres perezoso, eres un conejo
Quién no hace nada más que tener fantasías traviesas eres tú, el conejo.
Bueno, bueno, bueno
Pyon pyon pyon pyon
Qué, qué, qué
¿porqué no está bien?
Bien, bien, bien
Pyon pyon pyon pyon
Qué, qué, qué
Como te guste seguir viviendo
Directamente hundiéndote
Dónde sea que vayas, yo estaré siguiendote
¡Por qué, soy un conejo! 🐰
Estás siendo infantil, no digas esas cosas
Cone-cone-conejito, oye, va a estar apretado
Cone-cone-conejito, oye, te extraño de esa forma
Quiero ser molesto
[La Canción del Conejo]
Un conejo solitario
Un conejo un poco travieso
Con ojos rojos pyon pyon pyon
Ven para acá pyon pyon pyon
El conejo que se cansó
Pequeño travieso conejo
No estoy llorando pyon pyon pyon
Para acá pyon pyon pyon
¡Por qué, soy un conejo! 🐰
soy un cone-cone-coneconejito, ¿ves?, no te dejaré ir.
No me gusta estar solo
Me enamoré así de ti
Es muy molesto,
Quiero derramar mi amor
Cone-cone-conejito
No te dejaré ir, pyon pyon pyon pyon
🐰 no me quedó claro si usaba "conejA" en vez de "conejO" pero para mí, la traducción quedaba mejor con "conejO", de cualquier forma, quedo atento a cualquier corrección ^^

sweet dream - THE MADNA (English Lyrics Translation 英訳)
Lyrics: Ryota; Music: THE MADNA
cry in the moonlight
Inside a birdcage
In a trance, the dreamlike sky
In the seasons smoothly sliding by
To an uncertain tomorrow
Blindly surrender
When the moonlit night gently closes our eyes, the rising sun will surely tear us apart
Illuminated by the moonlight, the two of us
Locked in a kiss, melt together in the night
Wishing for the night to never dawn again
For the end of the world right here and now
Ephemeral dreams
If it has a shape, someday it’ll break down
It’s a countdown to the final round
Holding tight onto the fast pass for the gate leading beyond 0
Even if everything in the world ahead turns to nothing and disappears
At least remember it in your memories and dreams, baby
Smile, honey
Right until the very last second of the reality we’re experiencing now
Let me feel it so much that it hurts
Let me feel your heartbeat
Feel your realness
Swaying, swaying
These words with nowhere to go
Somewhere in a corner of the world their flowers will bloom
When the moonlit night gently closes our eyes, the rising sun will surely tear us apart
「Hey, will you let me ask you something?
Will you let me breathe inside of your heart?
Take me with you to the future」
Illuminated by the moonlight, the two of us
Locked in a kiss, melt together in the night
Wishing for the night to never dawn again
For the end of the world right here and now
Notes, Japanese, Romaji & Spotify Track:
Notes:
A fictional story of two people fighting against 'the fear of being torn apart'.
夢現: Yumeutsutsu is the state of being half asleep and half awake, being between dream and reality 泡沫: Utakata means things like ephemeral, transient or fleeting. It can also translate as “the bubbles floating on the surface of water or liquids.” Bubbles vanish quickly and used as a metaphor, it gives the imagery of something being as fleeting or momentary as a bubble. If something is ephemeral it means that it doesn’t last long- that it only lasts for a short time or has a short life. So perhaps we can tie the lyrics to the beauty of the fleetingness of life and the importance of cherishing things which only last a brief moment. Life is fleeting, moments are fleeting - it’s inevitable that eventually everything must come to an end or disappear at some point in time. So we should embrace and appreciate those moments and things whilst we have the chance. We should live fully in the present moment. I highly encourage you to read up on 「物の哀れ」(もののあわれ ”mono no aware” ). Originating from classical Heian period literature, “mono no aware” refers to our awareness of the impermanence or ephemeral nature of all things. It is the deeply felt, powerful emotions which stir within us upon this bittersweet realization. A melancholic appreciation of the beauty in the transience of the existence of things and the gentle sadness it invokes as we connect it to the reality of life. The transient moments in life, youth, romance, nature and the changing of the seasons are all examples of mono no aware. Common imagery is birds, the moon, flowers - especially the cherry blossoms in spring. Motoori Norinaga, a scholar during the Japanese Edo Period (1730-1801), believed that ‘to know mono no aware is to discern the power and essence, not just of the moon and the cherry blossoms, but of every single thing existing in this world, and to be stirred by each of them’. So for me personally, the usage of 「夢、泡沫」 in the lyrics brings about this beautiful dreamlike imagery of the impermanence of dreams and those dreams vanishing. Dreams only last for a fleeting moment, for when you wake up you stop dreaming. It’s inevitable that the sun will rise each morning and in turn those dreams are torn apart by the daylight.

Happy b-day Soushi! fanart♪
it's July 7th here still, so here we go
copied and pasted from my Instagram
Happy birthday to the artist that changed my life. The man who got me into visual kei. The most important human as a Rhythm Heaven fan. Happy birthday, Soushi Tanaka!
it's not like he knows me or ever will, but he means a lot to me. Watashime Slug is a big part of my life and personality, and it wouldn't be Watashime Slug without Soushi. The HOURS i spent making research, entering shady websites and learning how the Wayback Machine works to find everything i can about him and Leo is not possible to name. I even check his only social media everyday to see if there's something new, because as a fan i miss him a lot and his internet presence, i want to be there for any updates messages or pictures
i met him and Leo thanks to Rhythm Heaven DS, later finding out he sang WISH ~ Kimi Wo Matenakute and Lonely Storm in the Japanese version of RH Fever. i was hypnotized by his voice and all the songs available online are not enough. heck i even am saving money to buy a visual kei compilation album that has Watashime Slug's "京x罰 (Kyo x Batsu)" in japanese, as the english version is the only one available online and the lyrics are inaudible. and even if i had it, it's not enough for me. i would need more and more
i can't say other words to express how much he means to me and how dedicated i am to save and archive all his songs, promo and blog pictures, blogs, videos and comments. because the fandom may not know it, but he is a big part in Rhythm Heaven's story. at least that's what i think
and if somehow Soushi sees this, i can just say: thank you. thank you for your music, for your voice and energy. you changed someone's life; my life★
happy birthday♪
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(seriously tho, i have an unholy amount of links to shady websties, videos, pictures and probably viruses that's all my research on Watashime Slug, all in a google docs just for me and my friend Pandi. and i JUST updated it with a new link i found accidentaly. someone take my phone away)

Analyzing MeMe's Lyrics (Trikoto Ver)
I will be using this translation for this.
Some people try to separate the lyrics out into who is singing according to the video. I believe that who is singing isn’t always the same as who’s currently in the video.
I feel this song is suppose to be confusing and thus, is harder to dissect then Double.
俺 isn't used in this song. That means that John is never singing about himself directly.
The screams are likely the first 4 syllables of the official English translation of that line.
Taken from the FOOL's MATE research doc.
Color Key
Mikoto John Midokoto
--------------------------------------------
1. (???) 2. If I could have laughed 3. (???) 4. If I could have gone back 5. (???) 6. Then I would act dead even though I’m living, aren’t I?
This whole stanza could be either Mikoto or John.
Mikoto: To me, this all sorta sounds like Mikoto has suicidal tendencies. This is further reinforced by John hinting that he does. He could also be talking about subconsciously regretting getting his job.
John: These lines line up more with his vocal style but are harder to discern. John is obviously agitated in this scene. He could be looking back to a time where he didn’t need to be so active or a time when things were easier/happier to cope with. It could also be that he doesn't want to kill, but deems it necessary to protect them.
7. (???) 8. If I could be gone 9. (???) 10. If I could make it stop 11. (???) 12. I wonder how long this dream of mine would stay alive?
Referring to his job and all of the stress. This whole stanza could be either Mikoto or John.
8. Could also be a carried thought from the last stanza.
13. You don’t have to go and keep it all inside 14. Because “I” will decide to save “me” anyway 15. Snuggle up and say your mutual “good night”’s 16. Flip that switch back on, rattle up that brain
13-14. These lines sound like John. Mostly because he refers to Mikoto as “I” or “me” sometimes. When he does this, he uses 僕 instead of 俺.
14. The start of this line is written “ボクが僕”. This is likely a stylistic choice to break up the visual monatamy caused by using “僕が僕”. I can’t think of another reason it would be this way.
15. Midokoto is giving John special treatment due to what he’s done, reassuring him that everything will be ok.
16. I believe this is Midokoto speaking and talking about forcing a switch.
17. Why, then, is it me standing before you now?  18. Surely you’re mistaken 19. Just take a look and see if you can find me out,  20. Find the me that’s been hiding away 21. The truth will be sure to come to light 22. I won’t forgive you if this is a lie when I know I’m right
17-19, 22. Mikoto being Mikoto, trying to get Es to believe that he’s done nothing wrong.
20. Hinting at his alters. This could also be Mikoto looking into himself because he knows something isn't right. This line uses 僕 so this could be Mikoto, Midokoto or both singing.
21. Mikoto is out of the loop on John and Midokoto’s actions. He wants to find the truth. This could also be interpreted as Mikoto being Mikoto.
22. His use of “赦さない” is directly referencing the voting system in T1. Shidou is the only other character to do this.
23. (???) 24. If only it’d break,  25. (???) 26. If only I could change 27. (???) 28. Would I find my way?  29. I wonder when I started to give it up
This whole stanza could be either Mikoto or John.
Mikoto: Mikoto feels stuck in life and wants to change.
John: He’s starting to question if what they’re doing is right.
30. (???) 31. If I could break loose,  32. (???) 33. If only I could choose 34. (???) 35. Is it selfish to do what I’ve done if it isn’t too much?
This whole stanza could be either Mikoto or John.
Mikoto: Mikoto feels stuck in life and wants to change.
John: (30-34) What he’s doing is starting to trouble him. (35) He’s wondering if what hes doing is selfish since he’s killing people to put less stress on Mikoto.
36. Adding to me was this “minus” energy 37. As I choked, I was closely wound in its embrace 38. Maybe it’s okay to try to keep living 39. Split that heart in half and make it race
36. “マイナスのイメージ” translates better into “Minus Image”. This could be talking how John is the opposite to Mikoto. Mikoto and Midokoto also seem similar, so this could be referring to Mido instead of Miko.
36-37. Mido feels connected to John or he has accepted the "negative energy" of violence.
38. Mikoto acting like everything is ok.
39. Mido is trying to keep Mikoto and John away from each other. This shows his possibly controlling nature.
Alternatively, this whole stanza could be sung by Mido. These lines, when put together, could be interpreted as “maybe it’s okay to keep living [like this], as long as they are kept apart to make our heart beat”.
40. Why, then, is it me standing before you now?  41. Surely you’re mistaken 42. Just take a look and see if you can find me out,  43. Find the me that’s been hiding away 44. The truth will be sure to come to light 45. I won’t forgive you if this is a lie when I know I’m right
Repeat of Chorus 1.
46. With all the clearly ridiculous accusations 47. I will make them feel pain, they will suffocate 48. But isn’t it all in vain? 49. Ah, it’s the same everywhere I go 50. It’s like what is wrong isn’t wrong in people’s eyes 51. There’s no guessing between us when I’m the hoax
46-48. All of the accusations are causing Mikoto stress and John is taking action.
47. Could be Mikoto singing as he has a similar line in Double.
49-50. I believe this applies to both Mikoto and John. Mikoto’s self doubt and self consciousness is coming into play. He doesn't want to stand out. John is tired of Midokoto’s shit and is at the height of his frustration.
51. Speaking to Es. ニセモノ was used instead of the kanji for hoax/fake (偽物). This is likely a stylistic choice. Unclear who is speaking.
52. I am probably not to blame anyhow,  53. It is probably nothing and 54. This must be a dream,  55. A nightmare that I’ve found,  56. One I need to be waking from
These lines are either Mikoto or Midokoto singing. Overall, all of these lines sound unsure.
Mikoto: Mikoto is brushing everything off and saying it’s nothing.
Mido: Midokoto is passing off the blame.
57. Why, then, is it me standing before you now?  58. Surely you’re mistaken 59. Just take a look and see if you can find me out,  60. Find the me that’s been hiding but
Repeat of Chorus 1.
60. Unclear who songs this, but the last word is likely Mikoto.
61. Why, then? Hey. Why then?  62. Am I nowhere at all to be found then? 63. That is why 64. I won’t forgive you if this is a lie when I know I’m right
Mikoto feels lost and confused.
65. Why, then? Hey. Why then?  66. Can’t you please let me go and just let me live my life? 67. Say you’re mistaken and it’s a fake and just 68. Say that I am right about all of this 69. I will forgive you if you can say how it really is
Mikoto is pleading with Es to let him go as he’s done nothing wrong.

SHINY COLORS FASHION ANALYSIS - Mamimi Tanaka (田中摩美々)
Tumblr media
"Mamimi doesn't like to do tedious things... Can I skip today's lesson?"
This is a project analyzing and taking a look at the fashion design and application in the multimedia series, The IDOLM@STER: Shiny Colors. This section is about the devilish & punkish prankster of the series, Mamimi Tanaka! If you want to jump to a specific section, go here!
(This is a reprint of my thread on Twitter. I put it on Tumblr for easier reading and for archiving purposes. Enjoy!)
-----
INTRODUCTION
Tumblr media
“Mamimi is a third-year high school student with a downer-type personality who hates troublesome things. She’s a beautiful girl with a great face and style, but she’s indifferent to anything she isn’t interested in."
---
Profile
Age: 18
Birthday: May 24th
Height: 161 cm
Weight: 49 kg
Blood Type: B
Hometown: Kanagawa
Hobbies: Wandering, Teasing people
Special Skills: Cutting her own hair
CV: Chisa Suganuma
---
Before starting the analysis, I would suggest if you haven’t already, read her W.I.N.G. (introductory) commu (through the broswer game's English patch or on YouTube). If you don’t play the game, I would listen to her image song and read the lyrics to get a better sense of her character.
-----
STYLE BREAKDOWN
Tumblr media
Mamimi’s fashion is very punkish and eccentric, having a very strong image that sets her apart from the other Shiny Colors idols. Her outfits feature a variety of punk substyles and some goth influence to make a style that is maximalist, unique, and full of personality.
Tumblr media
Her major style influence is punkish/punk-kei (パンキッシュ・パンク系), a Japanese take on the punk styles of the 70s/80s. Less abrasive than its originator but still capturing that air of rebellion/individual freedom, it acts as a foundation for other punk substyles to add upon.
(sorry i had an actual graphic for the above paragraph but it got corrupted so. </3)
Tumblr media
Before continuing with her style inspirations, let’s talk about some other essential elements to her punkish style, like her makeup. Mamimi wears heavier makeup in contrast to the typical natural makeup trends in Japan, liking to match her eyes and lip to her outfits and nails.
Tumblr media
Two other elements that enhance her punkish look are her hairstyle & piercings. Following the D.I.Y. attitude of the punk movement, she cuts and dyes her own hair. Additionally, her multiple ear piercings give off classic punk vibes while also showing off her eclectic taste.
Tumblr media
The first punk subculture I want to introduce is skate punk, an offshoot of the “hardcore punk” movement with more of a casual and laid-back edge. This style fits Mamimi really well as her style is overall more comfortable but still as edgy as ever.
Tumblr media
Another punk substyle that has heavy influence in Mamimi’s personal style is street punk. Having traditional punk elements from the initial wave of the British punk movement with a more showy flair, it fits her well and shows her more contrarian side.
Tumblr media
Goth punk, a mixture of the goth and punk styles, is one of Mamimi’s biggest influences in her personal style. Visually symbolizing her downer-type nature and somewhat cynical view of society, the dark yet romantic motifs mixed with punk sensibilities is a perfect fit for her.
Tumblr media
One of Mamimi’s style inspirations that isn’t directly related to the punk movement is PEEPS, a sporty goth style popular with Japan youth in the early 2020s. Though it’s usually segmented and very clean, Mamimi’s breathes new life into the style with her maximalist approach.
Tumblr media
Mamimi’s image color is a medium light purple. Lighter than her hair and the image color of L’Antica, purple represents her mischief, downer-type personality, as well as creativity and ingenuity.
Tumblr media
Mamimi’s personal color palette contains three sub-palettes: a basics palette (the foundation of her outfits), an accent palette (recurring secondary colors), and a signature palette (one-off colors reserved for signature pieces).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way she combines these three sub-palettes makes her style so unique and fun! Above are some examples of how she utilizes these palettes in her outfits.
-----
STYLE ANALYSIS
Tumblr media
Mamimi Tanaka is a girl known for her punkish look and is incredibly self-serving and lazy at first glance, avoiding troublesome things at any cost. She is first met while wandering around during a late night and gets scouted by the Producer.
Tumblr media
Though she initially rejects the offer, she rolls around the office the next day and accepts becoming an idol. Because she got “scolded so persistently” for loitering late at night, she was interested in becoming an idol and thought it would be fun.
Tumblr media
A self-proclaimed “bad girl,” at the beginning of her idol career she consistently did things at the expense of others, like skipping practices and attending work late. However, she seems to be natural at being an idol and often executes jobs perfectly.
The same can be said for L’Antica as well, as they often scold and treat her well like a sister or a close friend. Mamimi learns how to become a part of a whole and what it’s like to be together with people who truly care about you, enough to have good and bad times together.
Not knowing what she wants to do with her life is another reason why Mamimi became an idol. But after seeing the seriousness and sparkle of L’Antica, it led her to lose her “bad girl” front and try hard to become an idol, though she still makes mischief often.
Tumblr media
In later commu, we learn that Mamimi actually comes from a rich family and very well off. However, it’s found that Mamimi’s parents spoiled her so much as a child that she never got scolded and could get away with anything. Because of this, she started to lash out and rebel to get attention from other sources. (Above: her bedroom)
Her parents’ constant praising turning into indifference was the main reason Mamimi dresses in the punk fashion, to rebel against society and be the complete opposite of her upper-class parents’ expectations. She started dying her hair purple in middle school.
In her card “Purple Mirage,” Mamimi tells Producer that she made purple her trademark color due to it being “less hot than red and less cold than blue.” She is known for her fashion and often pays attention to blogs and magazines.
Tumblr media
Mamimi is known to have a large closet and bought a lot of her wardrobe with her parents’ money, though she uses her own money now. She has a lot of rare or unique pieces and is able to coordinate them well, showing that her love for punkish fashion isn’t just for show.
Mamimi’s fashion doesn’t change as her character develops, keeping a punkish base as she explores & integrates other styles her own way. Her growth doesn’t have to do with changing her image, but using it as a front to shut people away and not being honest with your feelings.
Tumblr media
Being able to be truthful to yourself and your image while able to grow as a person is not something that’s seen often. Mamimi “softening up” and positively changing doesn’t change her punkish style, her fashion showing that the two can coexist together.
-----
This is it for Mamimi Tanaka!
If you liked this thread, check out my Twitter and give me a tip on Ko-Fi so I can do more things like this with other idol series! Thanks for reading <3

Some music I just love. :)
Hi everyone. :) Some time ago I shared with you some music that fits well to my identity as soul, but I wrote in that post that my music taste is quite wide, so today I want to show you some music I discovered when this body was 11 years old and it's fascinating for me to this day.
It's music from japanese movement called Visual Kei, it's as music, fashion and subculture, as music you can find there almost all music genres and different styles, and artists just love experiments with music, but also many rock and metal bands are there. Whole movement started from metal band X Japan in early 80s, they wanted to show japanese people that being different, looking different, showing your true emotions, saying what you really thing and talking about difficult topics is ok, there's nothing wrong with it. Japanese people are known of being very closed and not talking what they think and not showing what they really feel, and in past japanese society was even more grey than now, then being different than others was associated with something really bad... As first Visual Kei became very popular, but in 90s it started to be kinda niche and is like that since these days, but also because of western fans it's more and more popular. So lyrics and emotions are very important in Visual Kei music (of course origins of this movement were 40 years ago and now there are maaanyy subgenres, so not all have such deep lyrich, and it really depends on bands, even in the same subgenre).
Visual Kei have some connections with traditional japanese theater kabuki, so there are some theatrical elements especially in clean vocals and behavior. Everything is art there, I mean, musicians are amazing, visual side of band changes all the time when they releasing something new (in japanese music industry artists releasing more often that western artists), also music videos and live performances are amazing.
Most of Visual Kei musicians are guys, there are not many woman (i'm telling from physical perspective, it's not common in Japan to telling about being LGBTQ+, so maybe some of them are, but I don't know...), even if someone looks like girl, it probably guy. :P From my list only band Ganglion had only female members, bassist from The Sound Bee HD is female and also singer of Kuroyoubi.
My list is mix of many genres and styles, some are really heavy like metalcore, there are some symphonic metal songs, some more like folk metal (japanese folk), rock, ballads, some funky etc.
In some songs I chose there are english subs in videos, I will also add links to english translations of some, to some there are japanese lyrics, because I can't find any english translation, I'm sorry. :( You can translate then with some translator, maybe it's not ideal, but you will have some idea what song is about. And to some I don't have even japanese lyrics... Just enjoy music!
Oh, and one more note. In Visual Kei many songs sounds "happy", but in reality lyrics are deep, heavy, depressive... I think it's amazing contrast and it showing emotions from lyrics even more. And Visual Kei isn't for everyone, it's really different, and unfortunately many people think bad about guys who wearing make up etc... So if you don't like such things, probably it's not for you, just warning. ;)
I hope you will like this. :)
・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・
As first few songs I really love, they means a lot to me:
・First is The Gazette - Dim Scene live (english subs in video), it's my favourite band ever, all their songs are amazing and have deep and heavy lyrics. Sorry about live performance, I just love that one. :D
・Second is Deadman - Follow the Night Light PV (english subs in video), one of my favourite bands from more dark and gloomy subgenre of Visual Kei called Nagoya Kei.
・Another is D'espairsRay - Paradox 5 audio (english translation of lyrics), this song is just amazing, it's about someone who's beloved died, but lyrics are like thoughts about journey to next incarnation and hopes that beloved won't suffer because of they were separated... I love it soo much!
・Next is Girugämesh - Kowarete Iku Sekai PV (english subs in video), this song is about what humans doing to each other and to Mother Earth... People are talking about "The Seed" by Aurora, but I think more people should hear this song, it squeezing my heart every time I'm listen to it...
・Another song is Kaya - Villain MV (english translation of lyrics), Kaya is one of a few openly gay people in Japan, he's bisexual and crossdresser, and this song is about being different.
・Next, Luna Sea - Another audio (english translation of lyrics), it's song from late 90s, by one of the first Visual Kei bands, I just love this song so much.
・Another is Xaa-Xaa - Mazarenai MV (english subs in video), song about people who can't be together because of many different reasons, differences in character, skin color, origin, gender, etc, I love how it's shown in MV.
・ Next is Kizu - 0 MV (english subs in video), song about stupid japanese TV shows and what people can do to be famous... Warning, some drastic scenes in this MV.
・Next song is Chanty - Anata Dake wo Kowashite Kazatte Mitai MV (japanese lyrics in comment section), song without english subs (sorry), but this band often making songs about that dark side of personality, you will know what song is about while watching this MV. Warning, also some drastic scenes, not like in "0" by Kizu, but still someone can be sensitive...
・And last from this section is The Sound Bee HD - Endless Dead MV, without any lyrics, I'm sorry... But this song just is perfect for me when I'm depressed, works soo well to fill my emotions...
・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・
Here are some other songs with english translations of lyrics:
・Dexcore - Red Eye MV (english lyrics, in description box)

And last section, songs without any lyrics:
・Zera - Shangri La audio
・Houts - Enter audio
・Ganglion - Heart of Ripley audio
・Sakashimana Haguruma wo Kamen ga Warau。- Round and Round audio
・Damned - Thanatosis MV
・Kuroyoubi - Fukanzen'na Sekai MV
・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・'・,・
Hmm... I don't know why some links are underlined in black and some in green... Just ignore it!
I know it's a lot, sorry. :D But I'm listen to like... 150 Visual Kei artists? So it's not many compares to all bands I'm listen to. :D
If you listened to some songs from my list, I'm really happy! Let me know what you think. ;)

HANDLING THE UNDEAD - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: NEON
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS: In the sweltering heat of a summer in Oslo, the deceased unexpectedly awaken, plunging three families into disarray as their beloved departed ones return. Questions arise about their identities and intentions. One family grapples with the resurrection of their mother, a sudden revival before they had the chance to grieve her tragic passing in a car accident. On the same day she buries her soulmate, an elderly woman is reunited with the love of her life. In a desperate attempt to alleviate his daughter’s depression, a grandfather rescues his grandchild from the clutches of the grave.
REVIEW: John Ajvide Lindqvist's literary career took off with the publication of his debut novel, "Let the Right One In," in Sweden in 2004. This acclaimed work was later adapted into a film with the same title, released in 2008. In 2010, an American remake of the film was produced, followed by an American television series that premiered on Showtime in 2022.
John Ajvide Lindqvist's second novel, "Handling the Undead," was released in 2005, followed by a short story collection in 2006 entitled "Let the Old Dreams Die." One of the tales in this collection was set in the same universe as “Let the Right One In” and one in “Handling the Undead.”
As a fervent admirer of the film "Let the Right One In," I was immediately drawn to the novel when an English translation became available. When I learned that English translations of "Handling the Undead" and "Let the Old Dreams Die" were released in the United Kingdom, I promptly acquired my personal editions.
As someone who grew up on the George Romero zombie canon and its subsequent impact on the genre, I found John Ajvide Lindqvist's take on the subject to be both engaging and refreshing. The narrative was primarily driven by the experiences of various families and the government's response to the unfolding crisis. He crafted a new contemporary metaphor in relation to what the undead represent to social structures and family dynamics.
The film's narrative is significantly less substantive from the novel, focusing more on the reactions of three families to the reanimation of their deceased loved ones. The cause of the undead rising is altered, and much of the dialogue and character development is simplified. The first 8 ½ minutes of the film features no spoken dialogue, except for musical lyrics, and little throughout the entirety of the film. A key element of the novel is the silent return of the dead to specific locations, presented in various states of decay. The film briefly explores the living coming to terms with the undead, their actions and little else. While the novel's events span several weeks, the film portrays them as occurring over a couple of days. Having read the novel, I noticed significant omissions in the adaptation that diminished its impact. Certain changes made to the storyline were a disservice to the novel and, consequently, weakened the film's overall effect. By the end of the film, the living characters appear as lifeless as the undead.
The film primarily relies on ambience created by masterful cinematography, sound design, and score. It employs a dark, cold visual style with a limited color palette. Tight framing dominates, except for a few wide shots that showcase the cemetery and hospital after the undead arrive. The film features few costume changes, which contributes to its lack of sense of passing time. The score is sparingly used and is often integrated with the sound design. I found the makeup design for the undead particularly impressive, as it achieves a realistic and organic look. The editing instills energy into the film, maintaining viewer engagement throughout its 97-minute runtime.
The cast was remarkable, conveying emotions primarily through facial expressions and body language due to limited dialogue. Bahar Pars, a talented actress, delivers a memorable scene toward the film's end, leaving a lasting impact with its intensity. Dennis Østby Ruud, a promising young actor, shines in his performance, as do the actresses portraying the elderly couple. Despite the limited material provided, the entire cast showcased their abilities admirably.
In her feature film debut, HANDLING THE UNDEAD, director Thea Hvistendahl presents a meditative exploration of grief and loss, capturing the impossible desire to turn the past into the present. The film immerses us in a profound sense of sorrow right from the start, and by the end, leaves a lingering feeling of hopelessness. While the film attempts to convey the emotional weight of the story, it falls short in comparison to John Ajvide Lindqvist's original novel. The film lacks depth in terms of character development and emotional range, making it difficult to fully appreciate the author's achievements in the novel. Despite its limitations, the film may still pique your curiosity, leading you to seek out Lindqvist's compelling and complex novel.

CREAM SODA - THE MADNA (English Lyrics Translation 英訳)
Lyrics: Ryota; Music: THE MADNA
Precious feelings don't forget remember
Those teenage days bursting with blue
Precious feelings don't forget remember
That one found freedom
& in these hands spark future
The day it got me
I couldn’t take my eyes off that music show
My mundane, ordinary life was pierced by that rock ‘n’ roll
In the blink of an eye it had completely stolen all my heart
Up inside my head all day & night
All around the clock
Fly Fly Fly
Release & spark future
Full of Excitement Ecstasy
Enjoy your life at will
Free to do whatever you want
Ego in full swing
With crazy unstoppable passion
Just go your own way
With your head held high without a care
Just as you are
Just the way things are
u&me on this small planet Earth
out in this big wide world
Proving what it means to be alive
Hey Ladies
Fall in love with all your heart and soul
You only get one chance to live
So take a shot and go for broke
If you ignite the flames of those youthful initial impulses once more
Call it charisma?
Screaming! Shouting!
Tonight the party never ends
Jump around! Jump around!
And put tomorrow aside for a while
Go get it & spark future
Getting hyped up
Got all dressed up
Popped out for the weekend
The good old streets were packed so full of dreams
Trends and cultures move along with the times
Everything has changed
Everything we can see with our eyes
But I’ll always hold this special feeling deep inside
Just like before
Unchanged in my heart for the rest of my life
Once again I wanna feel that time
I wanna feel those days one more time
Rubber soles, bondage pants with studded belts, tartan checks
Lolita, decora and gothic, cyber, punk
You say it’s not in fashion now?
That it’s outdated? Behind the times?
Well I wanna be someone who’s not afraid to say
That I like what I like
Precious feelings don't forget remember
Those teenage days bursting with blue
Precious feelings don't forget remember
That one found freedom
Seize it & spark future
Full of Excitement Ecstasy
Enjoy your life at will
Free to do whatever you want
Ego in full swing
With crazy unstoppable passion
Just go your own way
With your head held high without a care
Just as you are
Just the way things are
u&me on this small planet Earth
out in this big wide world
Proving what it means to be alive yeah
Notes, Japanese, Romaji & Spotify Track:
Notes:
CREAM SODA: as mentioned in various interviews, this is a song which is all about nostalgia, old school Harajuku culture and embracing the things that are special to us. Takashi wrote the music filling the song with the kind of music which saved his life back in the days. In addition, not only was CREAM SODA a Harajuku fashion brand representative of 80s rock culture, but Ryota also talks about how even as an adult, the drink cream soda is seen as something special or like a dream drink. He mentions how if you go to a café, you sometimes find yourself hesitating and wondering if it's actually okay to order it or not. This got him thinking about how it's nice that certain things can remain special to us no matter how much time goes by. So when he asked himself what was special to him, Harajuku came to mind. Although the culture has changed and it's become a place he can pretty much go to whenever he wants without a second thought, he really loved the atmosphere of those days.
Ryota coined the term “spark future” ⚡️
青くハジけたteenage days: The color blue and the kanji 青 (blue) is often associated with youth, adolescence and immaturity. Fresh, bright, young and full of energy and inexperience.
肩で風を切って: it means to walk with an air of self confidence or to walk around with swagger. If you walk 'cutting the wind with your shoulders' then you are moving forward confidently without any hesitation or without anything holding you back. From what I was told it doesn't carry any negative connotations.
幼き初期衝動: I guess perhaps these youthful initial impulses are those intense feelings you get when you are young and inexperienced - the feelings you get when you experience things for the first time. Things like your first love or first concert.

German folk rock is worth listening to.
I spent the last 5 months listening to Swedish heavy metal, and now I need something softer. I still listen to Sabaton, and here are some good ones if you’re interested.
My roommate has made fun of my music taste in the past, exclaiming how “white” my music is for someone who is “supposed to be BIPOC”. Well, I mostly listen to rock. I was raised on American folk, classic rock, and whatever old hippies listen to. And I don’t think race or ethnicity should determine the kind of music one listens to.
The 5 main bands I listen to are Rise Against (American punk rock), Starset (American heavy rock), Bastille (British indie pop/alt rock), SID (Japanese visual kei rock) and L’arc~en~ciel (Japanese rock). I’ve been listening to these bands for 10 years, and I’m trying to branch out a bit.
I’ve added Sabaton (Swedish Heavy/Power metal that focuses on war time history) and dartagnan (German folk rock) to the rotation, as well as Citizen Solider (American rock focused on mental health).
Growing up I didn’t like what I considered “modern music” aka pop music because I found it shallow. I only listened to Taylor Swift because my two close friends at the time listened to her and I wanted to have something to connect over. But when those friendships fell through, I went back to my dislike of pop music. When I discovered the world of anime, I fell in love with the music that accompanied these shows. Many of the anime from the Golden Era have theme songs from visual kei or rock bands that borrow heavily from western punk/goth, glam rock/metal and heavy rock. I think part of the appeal is that I don’t speak Japanese and therefore could focus on the musical structure of the pieces rather than the lyrics.
It has been been 10 years since I started picking my own music. I still do not love pop music, I still find many of the songs shallow, but I do not carry these sentiments over to the people who listen to them. I actually love hearing what music other people like, because it gives me a better idea of who they are. When I met the archaeology team last summer, we went around talking about what concert or artist (any time or place) we would like to see live. I immediately found a guy who also loves Rise Against.
Music is a universal language. It has been incredibly important to my family: with my great grandfather dedicating his life to being a violinist, with my grandfather teaching me different folk songs, with my parents always playing their favorite music.
My grandfather sung this song to my mom and uncle, and later me: “All things must perish under the sky, music alone shall live, never to die”.

(Video contains flashing lights increasing in intensity about the 1 minute mark)
After a week of voting, Vesna will represent Czechia in Eurovision with "My Sister's Crown."
This track has lyrics in English, Czech, Bulgarian, and Ukrainian. A mix like that can sometimes be chaotic, but here it feels like it fits. The song is about solidarity between women and the mix of languages and the bandmates' nationalities serves to reinforce the point. The chorus is operatic while the english verses are more conversational, and the Bulgarian verse is rap. Again, the mix of singing styles works to complement the solidarity message. The English lyrics can be a little clunky sometimes, but honestly it comes across more as poetic license being somewhat lost in translation than a lack of originality or failure to make English work for the song. I'm inclined to give it a pass. There is a lot going on here which seems like it shouldn't work, yet somehow does.
The staging for ESCZ was hampered by the studio. So I think only a few pieces of this performance (some of the choreographed cues, the group's musicians sticking with their instruments) will make it to Liverpool. I think costumes will likely be more similar to the music video which combined aspects of traditional dress with doll-like aesthetics for a very stylized look. It would have looked completely overdone in that little studio alongside much more low key performances, but could work on the big stage with Eurovision's history of much more out there presentations. They will also have a LED where they can project visuals that can help place the audience in their world. If they clean up in the right places, this can be extremely striking and get voters' attention. There is also the chance of it devolving into an absolute mess. We will have to wait to see how the team puts this all together in May.

A rundown of the Eurovision finalists from the official Youtube playlist
Apologies for lack of above-letter marks in non-English words/names.
("Peace Peace" is a reference to "Love Love Peace Peace," a legendary Eurovision host song throwing shade at common entry tropes. Highly recommend googling it. Somewhat equivalent to calling a movie Oscar-bait.)
—---------------—
ARMENIA: "Future Lover" - Brunette
Weird little pop song that starts out slow and then gets rap-adjacent. Rumor is that all the lyrics were lifted verbatim from viral social media posts.
ISRAEL: "Unicorn" - Noa Kirel
Bog-standard "I'm special" pop song. Rumor/joke/possible reality: Israel picked a mediocre song to ensure zero chance of hosting next year.
SWEDEN: "Tattoo" - Loreen
A pop song that would be better if the singer wasn't trying to do a weird vocal thing. Hoping the final performance is better than the music video.
FRANCE: "Evidemment" - La Zarra
Techno-pop song that absolutely slaps and has undeniable style. Extremely French. Got stuck in my head. Makes my top 5.
UK: "I Wrote A Song" - Mae Muller
Solid breakup pop song that definitely got stuck in my head. Upper tier but not top tier. Would love to see it do well in on US charts.
AUSTRIA: "Who The Hell Is Edgar?" - Teya & Salena
Quality techno-dance song elevated to Eurovision levels by lyrics about being possessed by E.A. Poe. Music video is perfection. Makes my top 5.
CZECHIA: "My Sister's Crown" - Vesna
Strong women-empowerment song elevated to Eurovision levels by a bizarre music video. Looking forward to how it'll translate to the stage.
SERBIA: "Samo Mi Se Spava" - Luke Black
Classic Eurovision goth vampire, this year trapped in a video game boss fight. Only downside is the singer's weird breathy almost-singing.
NETHERLANDS: "Burning Daylight" - Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper
Sad ballad about depression. Uncomfortably accurate feels, but too slow and sad for Eurovision.
ITALY: "Due Vite" - Marco Mengoni
Solo ballad in Italian, nothing visually interesting, very meh.
FINLAND: "Cha Cha Cha" - Kaarija
Frantic rock song about getting drunk in a club with epic music video of singer in a WWE-style fight. Very Eurovision, strong contender.
CROATIA: "Mama SC!" - Let 3
100% BONKERS rock song that never mentions names but is undeniably a "f*** Putin" anthem. Includes middle-aged men in drag. A must-watch. Makes my top 5.
PORTUGAL: "Ai Coracao" - Mimicat
Peppy fun little pop song with a peppy fun little dance number.
AUSTRALIA: "Promise" - Voyager
Australia still hasn't quite figured out what Eurovision is about. Decent alt-rock song but way too mainstream and polished for this rodeo.
SPAIN: "EAEA" - Blanca Paloma
Poignant Middle-Eastern style song about a mother's pain. Not sure what to make of this one, but recommend giving it a try.
GEORGIA: "Echo" - Iru
Standard pop song with standard "big fans and lots of flowy fabric" music video. Meh.
LITHUANIA: "Stay" - Monika Linkyte
Might've been a decent ballad about … trauma, maybe? … but performance is uninteresting and music sounds a little off.
SLOVENIA: "Carpe Diem" - Joker Out
Boilerplate party anthem with a music video about a party in a hotel.
UKRAINE: "Heart of Steel" - TVORCHI
Male duo aims for that specific "I'm a boss" style (I personally associate with US rappers) and falls short IMO. Feels disjointed.
SWITZERLAND: "Watergun" - Remo Forrer
"Peace Peace" ballad morning boys fighting in wars. Meh.
ROMANIA: "D.G.T (Off And On)" - Theodor Andrei
A song that can't seem to decide what genre it wants to be or what it wants to say, but it definitely wants to sing it in bondage/fetish clothing.
AZERBAIJAN: "Tell Me More" - TuralTuranX
Low-key pop/ballad that feels out of place in Eurovision, with an awkward hipster boy feel.
GREECE: "What They Say" - Victor Vernicos
Another meh ballad with a sad boy singing in the increasingly intense rain.
POLAND: "Solo" - Blanka
Boilerplate Instagram-girl pop song. Nomination caused outcries of corruption, and if you watch her performance in the Poland national finals you'll agree.
ALBANIA: "Duje" - Albenia & Familja Kalmendi
Haunting lament, I think about losing children. Solid music, really hope the final performance is visually interesting.
CYPRUS: "Break A Broken Heart" - Andrew Lambrou
Another sad rock ballad, very meh.
MALTA: "Dance (Our Own Party)" - The Busker
Party anthem for people who don't like parties. Fantastic music video and a saxophone riff cherry on top. Makes my top 5.
BELGIUM: "Because Of You" - Gustaph
Great homage to 90's hip-hop with fun dancing. Unfortunately song is a little too forgettable. Bonus points for Supremes-esque choir.
GERMANY: "Blood & Glitter" - Lord of the Lost
German heavy metal in glittery carnival outfits. No idea what's going on here but it's very Eurovision.
IRELAND: "We Are One" - Wild Youth
Beatles-style throwback "Peace Peace" song. Would be unremarkable except for weird glitter masks.
SAN MARINO: "Like An Animal" - Piqued Jacks
Very off-putting rock song meant to evoke animalistic attraction, but the weird lyrics and creepy singer just make it uncomfortable.
MOLDOVA: "Soarele si Luna" - Pasha Parfeni
Rock-style Druid chanting, a Eurovision staple, including a distinctive wooden flute (possibly aping last year's winners?)
ICELAND: "Power" - Dilja
Another girl ballad. Very unmemorable.
DENMARK: "Breaking My Heart" - Reiley
Extreme teen/YA pop star vibes and the music video makes him look even younger. Standard sad breakup pop song.
NORWAY: "Queen Of Kings" - Alessandra
Girl wrote a rock anthem about her YA dystopia self-insert heroine and I'm here for it. Makes my top 5.
ESTONIA: "Bridges" - Alika
I can only describe this as Baby Adele singing not quite "Rolling in the Deep." Solid talent, hope she makes it in the industry.
LATVIA: "Sudden Lights" - Aija
Can't focus on or care about the song when it's playing over a music video that seems to include a cult, an empty pool, and a forced baptism.

Analyzing MeMe's Lyrics (Twokoto Ver)
I will be using this translation for this.
Some people try to separate the lyrics out into who is singing according to the video. I believe that who is singing isn’t always the same as who’s currently in the video.
I feel this song is suppose to be confusing and thus, is harder to dissect then Double.
俺 isn't used in this song. That means that John is never singing about himself directly.
The screams are likely the first 4 syllables of the official English translation of that line.
Taken from the FOOL's MATE research doc.
Color Key
Mikoto John
8. Could also be a carried thought from the last slide.
16. Could be referring to how John kills people or an actual switch.
21. Mikoto is out of the loop on John’s actions.
(35) He’s wondering if what he’s doing is selfish since he’s killing people to put less stress on Mikoto.
36-37. John has accepted the "negative energy" of violence.
38. Mikoto acting like everything is ok. Could also be John.
39. John is insistent about keeping himself separated from Mikoto to protect them.
Alternatively, when these lines are put together, they could be interpreted as “maybe it’s okay to keep living [like this], as long as we stay apart to make our heart beat”.
John is tired of every day going the same way with Mikoto working himself to death. He's frustrated that everyone, including Mikoto, is ignoring all of the problems.
51. Speaking to Es. ニセモノ was used instead of the kanji for hoax/fake (偽物). This is likely a stylistic choice. Unclear who is speaking, likely John.
52. I am probably not to blame anyhow,  53. It is probably nothing and 54. This must be a dream,  55. A nightmare that I’ve found,  56. One I need to be waking from
Mikoto is brushing everything off and saying it’s nothing. Overall, all of these lines sound unsure.
57. Why, then, is it me standing before you now?  58. Surely you’re mistaken 59. Just take a look and see if you can find me out,  60. Find the me that’s been hiding but
Repeat of Chorus 1.
61. Why, then? Hey. Why then?

So I HAVE REALIZED that all y'all English speakers do not realize what mastery the Polish version of Zero to Hero from Disney's hit movie Hercules (1997) is and that is simply unacceptable
But do not worry as I, in a fit of sleeplessness, decided to deliver you from this misery
First of all a link to the song with the lyrics in the descryption
And now onto my incoherent swooning over Polish language
Okay so first of all they managed to keep the visual pun of “Herc was on a roll” by using “mówię wszem, wkoło to co wiem” (I tell to all, around what I know) with “wkoło” literally using the word circle and just y’know, fits
“Spoza kulis” – “from behind the stage” they refer to the theatre and you know, it’s Ancient Greece
“A dziś contra plures wyrusza w bój” WE START THE GOOD STUFF. Literally they sing “and today he goes fight contra plures” which is an obvious and delightful reference to the Latin quote “Non Hercules contra plures”
And here maybe I’m reaching bUT- They sing “nie jest mu obcy żaden znój” (“he’s not a stranger to any toil”) and the word “znój” here is the key, because it can be used as synonym to “work” so twelve works of Hercules mayhaps???
They mention Croesus! They sing that Herc could rival him in terms of riches
(Also they call Herc “this god of heroes” using the word “heros” that usually is used to mean specifically “Greek half-god hero”, so like “god of half-gods” lol)
“Taki chłop ze stali stale trafia sto na sto” THIS DEAR SIR IS MASTERY OF WORD
AND I really think that we need to all show respect to the translator for translating the lines “And this perfect package packed a pair of pretty pecs” and keeping the alliteration. Sure, he changed the sound from “p” to “b” but those are literally almost the same sound in the scientific sense, just one is voiced and the other is voiceless, so I don’t want to hear any critique is that clear 🔪 Also “bóg bohater biegły w bojach bogom prawie brat” sounds extremely cool (god hero experiences in battles almost a brother to the gods)
“Widział kto mężniejszego męża?” again, fantastic wordplay, the closest example in English I can think of is “manly man” only if “manly” meant “brave” or “daring”
Appreciation for the line “not a douche who’d slice bread with an axe” <3
“Mięśnie ma herkuliste” he sure has very herculesous those muscles
“Mister of beauty” you know, like the peagents
“Strong like a Pillar of Hercules” more references!
“The dice long time ago iacta est” obvious reference to “alea iacta est”, of course
“Who doesn’t dieeeeeeeeee… is alive!” I couldn’t sum it up better myself
Thank for reading I love this song goodnight
