Hello, hello!

We wanted to create a relaxing little event for the langst part of the fandom, and so we decided to launch our first ever Langst Week! 

No signing up of any sort required, only good times (for us while creating) and angst times (for Lance being put through all of that)!

More information and the text version of the picture will be found under the read more, but don’t hesitate to shoot us an ask if you’ve got any questions!

Langst Week 2022!

The first Langst-themed week of this blog, that will last from Monday 13th of June to Sunday 19th of June!

The prompts are as follow:

1- Secrets and/or Isolation

2- Forgotten and/or Kidnapped

3- Explosion and/or Hypothermia

4- Adrenaline and/or Electrocution

5- Manhandling and/or In-Extremis

6- Reveal and/or Caretaker

7- Comfort and/or Family

In case you’re not comfortable/inspired by one of the prompts, we have those extras you can use instead as a replacement:

- Drowning

- Restraints

- Hidden Wound

- Collapse

When posting the prompts, make sure to use the #langstweek2022 in the tags, as well as tagging us (@langstron) in the post so we can easily find it and reblog it.

What medium is expected of Langst Week’s prompts?

Anything you want! Fanfics, fanart, playlists, moodboards, edits, videos, whatever floats your boat!

Can I participate if I ship [insert your ship here]?

Yes! Langstron is mostly focused on bringing whump and angst to our favourite Blue Paladin. So long your piece contains Lance as focus, you’re free to ship him with whoever you want.

I’m late/Only did one prompt/Don’t want to do the whole week, can I still participate and/or post my creation?

Yes! We will still be reblogging your beautiful creations whether you’re late, there’s only one or a couple! This is intended to be a fun event, so go at your own pace! Just don’t forget to use the #langstweek2022 tag + tagging us so we can find you easily.

We will be accepting a total of 36 participants made up of 8 writers and 19 artists, 1 cover artist, and 8-10 merch artists!

April 20th: Applications open at midnight EST!

May 20th: Apps close at midnight EST!

May 25th: Acceptance/Rejection emails will be sent out.

Application Requirements:

We’d like you to show us 3 examples of what you consider to be your zine standard. Writers should submit pieces that are 2-5k words in length each, and we welcome excerpts from longer stories. Artists should provide 3 examples of what they consider best represents their art style. Your examples do not need to be Voltron related, but it’s recommended that at least one of them is!

Writer Sign-Ups Extended!

Hey all! Mod Shiro here, So we are extending writer sign ups till Dec. 15th! This isn’t what we had originally planned but fear not. The big bang will still release, just pushed back roughly 8 weeks. The Updated dates are below and are fixed on the blog.

Writers are suggested to be 25% done, have a estimated word count, and a summary for artist claims, and required tags for fic.

Artist suggested Progress: 30%

Beta Sign ups: March 1st - March 15th

Second Check in: March 20th

Dedicated to the paladin we all know and love, Takashi Shirogane, PRISM is a charity fanzine focused on identity and acceptance.  PRISM strives to celebrate Shiro’s sexuality as well as the fandom’s love for him as a character.

Inroducing Moments: A Shance Storybook Zine!

This zine will follow Lance and Shiro through the early years of their relationship and continue on through their golden years. With that being said the zine will follow the same cohesive storyline and will be set in the same modern AU.

The intent is to produce a PDF zine, a physical zine, and a variety of merch. However, this is all dependent on interest levels. Please let us know if you would be willing to buy/contribute to the zine by filling out our interest survey.

Please note: if you intend to apply to the zine a contributor examples of your work will be required with at least one (1) piece focusing on Shiro and/or Lance.

Lotura Week is back! From January 26th - February 1st, 2020, join us in celebrating this wonderful ship between our favorite alien royals, whether that be with art, fic, edits, or more! 

The Prompts

This time around, we have decided to go with a theme for this week. The theme for this week will be: Flowers and Their Meanings! Each day’s theme will be a different flower and their different meanings will be the prompts. Each day will have two prompts. You can do one, the other, or both! The flowers are different variations of purple, pink, and white, just like Lotor and Allura themselves.

Hello everyone! The summer is well underway, and we are here to celebrate with a summer-themed Shotor week!! Join in the fun by posting fanart, fanfics, edits, headcanons (any form of art, really!) celebrating Shiro and Lotor’s relationship!
