Scenes in the novel where LouZuo are making sure they understand each other. I love a ship without miscommunication. Not exact words but based on what I remember. Its a mix of ad and novel version.
Medicine arc LZ: See you around. Till next time? ZYQ: Wait, are you not going to ask anything to me? LZ: I do have one. ZYQ: Then ask? LZ: Why you must play a game of chess? You can just steal the naihe incense behind your father's back and be done with it. ZYQ: That won't work. My dad is stubborn and don't give up easily if he didn't see it get destroyed in front of his eyes. LZ: Is it Lin Kai's idea? ZYQ: No, its mine. LZ: You can go now. I'm done asking. ZYQ: I want to give you this gift. Smaller Naihe incense. You can sell it and make money from it. LZ: Young man, you're way of doing things is very Pangmen. ZYQ: I'm different from them. I'm a good person. Its also my payment to live here. LZ: Since when I agree you're living here? What if the emperor found out about this? He'll definitely kill me. ZYQ: I'll disguise and work for you. LZ: I don't lack servants. ZYQ: But you lack me? Who will talk to you about your past, present and future? You still haven't tell me about other transmigrators stuff? Who will play card games with you? One game eveyday would be great, right? LZ: Make it 3.
Tuo Huang's hideout arc ZYQ: Lou Zhu, there's something I want to confirm. Prince Yu said you know his failed revolt but the emperor doesn't know. Do you know why? LZ: Why? ZYQ: First, your intelligence network must been more powerful than the emperor's. Second, you decided to supress that information so it won't spread. Third, its because you're still an outsider after all. LZ: Yes, there are natives who treat us equally but there's also people who don't. How can I survive this far if I didn't do it? ZYQ: I stole the banned book. I hope its helpful to you. Will you report it to the emperor? LZ: No, we will keep it to ourselves. ZYQ: So this is your stance? LZ: My stance? My goal is to lie on my money until the day I die. If one day someone will take this pleasure of mine, I'll use the chips I saved and gamble all I got.
Public opnion war arc ZYQ: Let me be clear? What are you fighting for? What the Wulin alliance stands for? LZ: Pacifism. An era where natives and transmigrators live peacefully together. ZYQ: Then why are you not doing anything? LZ: I miss the opportunity. ZYQ: Make anti-war poems? LZ: Is there anyone in Wulin literate enough to write? ZYQ: No. We only have ruffians who barely know few phrases and characters here. LZ: !!! Thank you for the suggestion! *goes to Fan Aiguo and tell him to write a novel*
Stealing the crown prince arc ZYQ: What? You want me to kidnap the prince? LZ: Basically I want you to kidnap the crown prince and then- ZYQ: Shut up. Don't talk. To put it simply, you want the prince so in case Prince Yu or the emperor died you guys will benefit from it? You can turn him into a puppet emperor. LZ: Exactly. ZYQ: Ok. Got it. LZ: Any questions? ZYQ: None. I'll prepare my things. LZ: I have one. ZYQ: Ask? LZ: I-If you don't want to do it, I can just find someone to do it for me. There's possibility you'll meet your father. ZYQ: I'll do it. I can't hide from my father forever. I have to face him.
Interrogation to Tan Qinghuan arc LZ: *realized ZYQ is looking at him* Xiao Yunqi, what are you thinking of? ZYQ: I'm thinking about what I learned from Tan Qinghuan's story. LZ: What did you learn? ZYQ: Protecting someone is the best courtship and true love will make you stronger. LZ: Xiao Yunqi, do you like me? ZYQ: What are you saying? LZ: I'm beautiful, multitalented, and rich. I very much appreciate your protection. ZYQ: This is extorting. LZ: Then I'm wrong? I guess I have to try harder. ZYQ: I'm not strong enough to be your bodyguard. LZ: I can wait. Don't let me wait for long tho.
Last battle against Tuo Huang arc ZYQ: You know right? LZ: Waiting for me? ZYQ: Your plan won't work. Is there no other way? LZ: Xiao Yunqi, I'm not a god. I don't always have the solution to everything. ZYQ: You really can't think of anything? LZ: There is but I'll not say it until I'm sure of it. ZYQ: Just say it. LZ: We can use this snake to destroy the pillar of Best Tower. ZYQ: Use it under the Best Tower and use the airplane for the top as distraction! Then what are we waiting for? LZ: How to say this... I only have one snake. It will take years until its destroyed. You'll probably have a grandson by then. ZYQ: ... *later, figure out Naihe incense can make the snake bigger and so their plan worked*
No medicine. Last scene in main story. ZYQ: Are you sure you want to stay in this world? Its dangerous here. LZ: I know. ZYQ: Maybe I can't protect you. LZ: Don't take what i said seriously back then. ZYQ: i'm serious though. I'm going to take over Pangmen and slowly get stronger. After all, I still have unfulfilled wishes. LZ: You already made your decision so do whatever you think is right. You don't have to worry about me. I can protect myself. But remember, a medicine can hurt others and poison can save others. It just depends on the heart of the person who use it. ZYQ: All these years, there's no poison user who became a noble hero. LZ: You can be the first one. ZYQ: What if I became a villain like my father? LZ: Then, I'll have to kill you. ZYQ: We will meet again right? LZ: One day, we will meet again.
LouZuo after 5 years extra. LZ: Can't you stay with me? ZYQ: Lou Zhu, can you ask again what you asked me back then. I haven't reply properly. LZ: Xiao Yunqi, do you like me? ZYQ: I do. Very much. That's why I can't stay with you. I want to help you as long as I can and I refuse to be a burden. I made a promise and won't break it. LZ: Then just like the Qixi story, we'll wait. Forever loyal to each other and only reunite ocassionally.
Reverse isekai AU extra. (Modern setting/Lou Zhu's OG world) ZYQ: Don't you want to become CEO and avenge your death? I will not surrender to an enemy. I'll just investigate to find evidence and don't kill anyone. LZ: Before, you want to lead the Pangmen and now you want to be an undercover agent? You shouldn't have follow me in the first place! What will it do to you? Benefit? You're just seeking death. Those rich people will just squash you like an insect. Your life means nothing to them. Can we just move on and don't pursue it? Don't make me tie you up. ZYQ: *sighs* I confess. I'm late so I didn't get food poisoning unlike you. Its my choice to follow you. LZ: Why? You still have the Pangmen? ZYQ: First, I'm worried about you. Second, there's no point staying in Da Liang without you. Third, I prefer to be a sword that can unsheathe by you. My years in Pangmen as sect leader is very lonely. When I first arrived here and fought with my martial arts again, I was very happy. This new body is not the best but its better than my original body. Lou Zhu, I don't really care what will benefit me. I only care what's right and wrong because back then all my life I always do evil actions for justice but this time I can finally choose. You understand me, right? LZ: sighhsss <- lose the argument

Alpha Magnetize - Chapter Two (Bucky x Reader)
Warnings: Alpha/Omega dynamics, Smut in later parts.
I’ve tagged all my perma’s but I know a lot of you aren’t into A/B/O so you can skip this one?
Summary: You weren’t exactly against Alpha’s per say, you just didn’t want one. You preferred to suppress your Omega hormones so you could focus on the important things in life, like being an Avenger. But when an injury takes you out of the field, you get stuck doing errands for the team and find yourself in Wakanda. It’s there, on Bucky Barnes doorstep that everything changes.
He finds what he’s been looking for and you find what you’ve been running from.
Previous Chapter
Tumblr media
The only thing you wanted to do was get the hell out of Wakanda and far away from Bucky Barnes.
Shame, that was what you were feeling. White hot, soul crushing shame. And maybe a tinge of rejection.
Omega’s in heat were hard to resist for Alpha’s who were unmated. Not impossible, but difficult. But from what you remembered, Bucky had no problem resisting you. He must have found you so unattractive that even the stirrings of your Omega heat hadn’t made him falter at all. You didn’t want him to want you, you didn’t much care what he thought about you at all but it was a little sobering to know you were that repulsive to somebody. Somebody you needed to go and speak to before you fled.
Because he had helped you and you at least owed him a thank you for it. You were embarrassed, not rude. So you slung the bag of tech you’d been sent to collect over your shoulder, steeled yourself for the encounter, put your big girl panties on and went to find him.
He found you first.
 “Going somewhere?”
Apparently your heat wasn’t entirely to blame for your primal reaction to him because he still smelt like heaven, with just the right amount of hell thrown in.
Everything about him screamed Alpha, from the burning intensity in his eyes to the purposeful way he strode towards you. You couldn’t help but be mesmerized by those thighs, those thick, powerful thighs. It said a lot about how sexy they were that your eyes went to them first and not the metal arm, but when the fist clenched your eyes immediately snapped to it.
You crossed your arms and leant against the wall, very much enjoying the view as he walked over to you. Just because you didn’t want an Alpha and this Alpha didn’t want you, didn’t mean you couldn’t look.
“I was looking for you.” You told him when he stopped in front of you.
“Good. I was looking for you as well. Shuri said you were awake and back to normal.” He said, his eyes flitting over your casual stance.
Normal is a relative term, and not really applicable in my case.” You said with a smirk.
“So why were you looking for me?”
“To thank you for yesterday. So thank you.”
 “You’re welcome.”
“Ok, bye.” You said abruptly, pushing away from the wall and walking away.
You didn’t look back and give him a chance to extend the conversation. You’d thanked him and fulfilled your obligation, there was no need to subject yourself to any further torture. Because standing that close to a man that beautiful without wrapping your body around his was torture.
“Let me carry that for you.” He offered, falling into step beside you and reaching for the strap of your bag without waiting for you to agree.
“I’m quite capable of carrying it, thanks ever so much though.”
“I don’t doubt it but a dame should never have to carry her own bags when there’s a gentleman around to do it.” He told you, smiling genially.
Why couldn’t this chivalrous, amicable, handsome Alpha just let you flee in peace?
“Welcome to the 21st century where Dame’s don’t need big strong Alpha’s to carry their damn bags for them anymore, I’d say you’ll like it here but you probably won’t and we’re a very cynical generation so we don’t really give a damn.” You snapped, shifting the bag to the opposite shoulder and away from him.
“You seemed to need a big strong Alpha yesterday doll.” He noted smugly.
“I’m not the same person I was yesterday.” You grumbled petulantly.
You’d shifted the bag to your injured arm and It hurt, but you were too damn proud to move it back to your strong arm.
“I didn’t know you yesterday, didn’t stop you showing up on my doorstep smelling like a…”
“Like a what?” You interrupted, glaring at him challengingly.
He leaned over and took a very deliberate whiff of your scent.
“You walk like an Alpha, talk like an Alpha but even on suppressants, you still smell like a needy Omega.” He informed you.
You dropped the bag on the ground with a loud clatter at the same time you extended your uninjured arm, knife in hand and the blade pressed against his neck.
“I don’t need a thing from any Alpha, least of you. Yesterday was an anomaly but make no mistake, I would have been just fucking fine without your help.” You snarled.
“Would you? Because your heat had only just started and you submitted to me straight away, what would have happened if I hadn’t found you?” He asked calmly, as if you weren’t holding a knife to his throat.
You couldn’t admit that his scent affected you far more strongly than any other Alpha’s ever had and that was why you submitted to him, that even now you were barely holding yourself in check, that threatening him felt wrong right down to your bones, that you wanted to beg forgiveness and wrap your arms around him and never let go.
His fingers closed around your wrist and pulled your hand away from his throat, twisting your arm so you were yanked around and suddenly you had six foot of muscled Alpha pressed against your back.
“You said thank you but you aren’t acting very grateful.” He whispered in your ear.
You wanted to snap at him, curse at him but his words didn’t match his tone. He sounded weary, and resigned.
And with his lips so close to your skin, his breath ghosting over you and his firm body pressed into you, you were struggling to think straight.
“I am grateful, but it doesn’t mean I need anything from you. I don’t want anything from you.” You hissed, thankful that your uncomfortableness with kind of enjoying being held still by him sounded a lot like anger.
“Why?” He asked and you froze.
“I don’t really feel like having a heart to heart with you buddy, I want to fly away and never see you again, not open up to you.”
“If you’re going to leave and never come back then what’s the harm in telling me why?” He reasoned.
“I don’t owe you an explanation.” You said flatly.
“No? I took you to Shuri before your heat fully kicked in and it would have been too late to supress it and you say you’re grateful but you’re acting like I offended you. You’re acting like you hate me and I want to know why.” He said, no, demanded.
“Why does it matter so much?”
“Is it because of the things I’ve done? Are you ashamed that you were moments away from begging a monster to fuck you? Tell me!” His grip on your wrist tightened and you could feel the anger radiating from him.
“What? No. You were brainwashed, you’re hardly a monster!” You told him.
He suddenly released you, pushing you away hard enough that you were a few feet away from where you started but not enough that you stumbled. You looked up at him, ready to verbally tear him to shreds but what you saw gave you pause.
 He looked… haunted.
For whatever reason you weren’t sure but he had asked you to condemn him. He looked strangely disappointed that you hadn’t.
“Look, for some Omega’s, finding an Alpha works for them. Not for me ok? I’m terrified of it, that’s why I’m on suppressants and have been for over a decade. You’re right, I was moments away from begging a complete stranger to fuck me just because he was an Alpha. I hate that, I hate it! But I don’t hate you.” You admitted, extremely begrudgingly.
“You make a habit of pulling knives on people you don’t hate, doll?” He asked with an easy smile.
 “Oh… FUCK YOU!” You snarled.
“Sounds like we’re back to the begging.” He said cockily.
He had switched from self-loathing to arrogant in less time than it had taken you to blink and it riled you up. It was all too much, his words, his attitude, his hard body, his blinding smile, his beautiful eyes, his fucking scent. You snapped.
In a few long strides you closed the space between you both and swung your fist at him.
He caught it but you’d been anticipating that and twisted around so your back was to him once again, only this time you jammed your elbow into the tender spot below his ribs. He let out a barely audible grunt and released your fist, wrapping his arm around your waist and yanking you back into him so he could use his body to cage you.
And then he did the most perplexing thing he had done yet.
 He laughed.
“You just don’t like to behave, do you?” He chuckled.
You twisted your neck to look up at him in disbelief. He smiled down at you, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
“I’ll show you bad behaviour you son of a bitch.” You panted, wriggling out of his grip.
“I’m sure you will doll, I’m sure you will. Can it wait till we’re in the air though? I want to get back to New York before dinner.”
 “Wait…. What?!” You shrieked.
He winked at you and picked up your bag, slinging it over his shoulder and strolling away, towards the quinjet.
 “No… wait. What?” You repeated.
 He didn’t look back.
You groaned and threw your arms in the air in frustration, letting them flail. Apparently you had an unwelcome passenger back to the compound. Bucky disappeared from view as he rounded the corner and you let out an impressive string of swear words before you stomped after him.
By the time you got to the quinjet he was already onboard, sitting casually in the pilots chair.
“Get the fuck out of my seat.” You snarled.
“Doll I’ve been doing this longer than you’ve been alive. I’m flying us home.” He said, hitting the button to close the ramp behind you.
“Really? Well old man, you don’t have the clearance. You won’t be able to start the engine’s.” You said smugly.
He maintained eye contact with you as he placed his palm on the screen and you rolled your eyes when the engine’s flared to life. Steve must have added him to the system in the hopeful anticipation of Bucky signing on to the team.
“Fine. You fly. I’m going to sit back here and nap.” You snapped.
 “You do that kiddo.”
You flung yourself onto the nearest seat and resisted the very strong urge to weep.
Hours, alone, in a metal box thousands of feet in the air, with the Alpha who had somehow gotten deep under your skin.
This flight was going to be torture.
As soon as the quinjet was in the air, Bucky switched on the Auto Pilot and turned his head to check on you. He saw you leant back in your seat, an arm slung across your face. Smirking, he pulled Steve’s letter from his pocket.
 Bucky,
Sam says I have to stop pestering you so I won’t say anything about wanting you to come home, just that WHEN if you do, there’s always a place here for you.
Don’t expect me to stop writing though, you aren’t getting away from me that easily pal.
First of all, I’m sorry about the deliverance of this letter. If I know our newest recruit, and I do, she’s already made an impression on you. I know she’s a little rough around the edges but she’s got a big heart Buck, she’s one of the good ones. You used to say you preferred an Omega who didn’t behave, well I found the worst behaved one of all. I could have sworn she was an Alpha the first time I met her. Sam got a little hurt on a mission once and suddenly it was like I was a kid again, watching you pull my punk ass out of an alleyway. Haven’t seen anyone be so worried and mad at the same time since you. She’s like that with everyone, Sam and Clint call her Spitfire.
Bucky smiled to himself as he read the opening lines of Steve’s letter. Well, he wasn’t wrong about you. Spitfire sounded just about right.
This flight was going to be fun.

That one SusaYaha AU I didn’t come up with, but it’s an improvised drabble
@akaza-s-bitch @kimetsuno-yaiba-imagines So you know that feeling when inspiration suddenly strikes at 1:30am and you just HAVE TO write? Yeah, me too. Me too.
Also my first time ever trying to do anything involving Yahaba so I’m sorry if I’m terribly ooc.
“You don’t have to come with me!”
“Don’t think I’d just let you leave me behind.”
“Even if it’s something like this, you still think you have to look after me?”
“It’s not that I think that! But if you’re on your own, you will just die soon anyway!”
Ah, it’s this dream again... The strange dream with a tinge of dust and a scent of ash and blood. Thousand times has he tried to go beyond what he sees. Beyond vague shadows and distorted voices, corroded by the screams and cries of his meals, covered by the thick layer of power crawling just under his skin.
This is why demons sleep so little. The line between their supressed memories, the boundary keeping them in check, weakens so much when they lay to rest. And yet, Yahaba finds himself returning to the tranquil state between the present and the past more often with each passing month. In hopes of finding something – anything – of value. A lead, something he’s been missing up till now. Something. Alas, his mind is as hazy as always, everything drowns in the darkness that had accompanied him most of his human life.
Why did he become a demon again?
It wasn’t to save himself. And it wasn’t to grow strong. These desires have only manifested themselves way after the initial act. No, it was something else. And it was powerful enough to leave an imprint in his mind. One that he couldn’t access but that always stayed just out of reach, taunting him and teasing with incredible lightness, yet causing wounds harsher than any demon slayer’s sword.
He’s been wondering for a long time just why was he drawn to that one part of that onw town. Unimportant and abandoned, it wasn’t like there was anything for him to do there. And yet, every time he would get lost in thoughts, he would wind up there. In front of a house with fallen-in roof, a broken porch, a dried out well and a dying apricot tree. And sometimes – just sometimes, he would catch shadows disappearing in the moon’s silver light as it slipped out from behind the clouds.
And other times, he would run into a peculiar demon girl. They would never talk. They would never attempt to stay in each other’s presence for longer than neccesary and it would usually be him who withdrew first. They wouldn’t see each other for a few weeks and then they would accidentally return to the same place at the same time. Sometimes, she would look at him, and sometimes, she would just watch the house in silence, a confused look on her face and a storm behind her eyes.
And just why was it that he could never peel his glance away from her when she stood there like that?
A splat echoed the empty hallway, followed by a string of curses and sounds of quick steps heading in his direction. Not this time, this time he wouldn’t let her have the upper hand. Hiding behind a large chest, he waited before she had ran around him and then he sneaked out and sprinted towards the door. He had almost made it when a powerful blow knocked him off his balance and he fell face-first right on the floor. There was something wet on his back and only after reaching there, he found a pile of mud.
His blood ran cold. His mother was surely going to be so mad about this! He knew she had spent so much money on the new yukata for him and now he got it dirty the first time he took it on. He felt tears burst into his eyes as he begrudgingly sat up, pulling his knees up to his chest.
“Are you alright?” She asked in a tone that only she could make sound so innocent, yet so mischievous.
“Look at what you’ve done!” He scolded her, holding onto his dirtied yukata. She looked over it but didn’t seem the least bit sorry. Of course she wouldn’t, it wasn’t like she ever had to worry about her clothes in the first place.
Or so he had thought.
But she just pulled him up by his hand, a smile as bright as a dozen suns playing a symphony with the stars in her eyes. “Then we just have to wash it before you go home, right?”
And there goes another one of his dreams. Is he going to see all of them? But something is different. For a moment, for just a brief, fleeting second, he feels like he knows. He knows her and he knows why he’s here the way he is and he knows why that place attracts him so. But the feeling is gone as quickly as it’s come, leaving him empty yet again, chasing after the wind.
He has been assigned a mission. No, that’s not correct. They have been assigned a mission. Together for the first time since... since what?
Why has his heart fluttered just a little when he saw her by his side? Why is it that when she’s around, it sends jolts of electricity through him, touching something deep within? And why is it that when she smiles, the heaven sings and all the angels dance?
What was it they came here to get? He doesn’t know about her. But he knows there’s something important. A deal? A reward? A promise.
A promise?
It makes no sense. Who would promise him anything for doing what he’s supposed to as a demon? Why would anyone go to such lenghts to ensure he’s carried out his mission well? The only one responsible for his performance during this task is himself. So the only one who could’ve promised...
“Do you... hate me?”
Why is she all alone?
“Do you want me to just get lost?”
He doesn’t. He wants to take her hand and never let go. He wants to hold her tight and tell her everything is alright. He wants to wipe her tears after a nightmare and listen to her excited rambling about her sweetest dreams. And there is more.
“Do you want to retain your lost memories?”
That’s right. The reason he’s been assigned to hunt down that boy. The reason she’s there with him. He made a request some time ago. He had to know. He still has to. There is nobody to promise to but himself anymore. And he has promised himself to find out the truth.
“You don’t have to come with me!”
And it is a voice he knows. Voice of a little girl who loved to play in the mud, who would chase him around the house and dirty his clothes before helping him wash them again. It’s the voice of a young woman who had lost everything and there wasn’t anything else for her to do. And it’s the voice of a demon whose blood arts match his with perfect accuracy, who takes his advice as a given and who follows his every word instead of going against him like he would expect.
Her smile is the sun. Her eyes are the stars. When she laughs, heaven sings and angels dance. She’s wild and vile and dirty. And she has the kindest heart he knows.
“Curse you! Curse you! Curse you!” Words he doesn’t even remember thinking off spill from his lips as a harsh slap lands him back in reality. “All I had to do was bring back your head! And I would’ve won his approval!”
The boy in front of him, the pathetic slayer who couldn’t even see his blood arts on his own, why is it that he should be the one getting out of here? Of course, his memories are in-tact. Untainted and untouched and clear, without any haze in the way.
“I’ll never forgive you! I’ll never ever forgive you!”
Not after he has finally found her. Not now that the fog has finally lifted. Not now that he has finally figured everything out. If he has to die here, what was the point? What was he trying to hard for? If this really is the end of it for him... will she ever even know?
While this boy would walk away with his demon sister who was nothing but a mistake, not even working as a proper demon, he would disappear into nothingness, never to be remembered, seen, or cared for ever again. And then...
It only now hits him. The horrible truth of what is about to happen once he is out of this slayer’s way.
“You’re going down with me!”
Why did he become a demon again?
Ah, he remembers now.
It was to protect.
