Tucked away in a forgotten Walthamstow warehouse sits God's Own Junkyard, a dizzying showroom and tribute to neon artist Chris Bracey.

Welcome to Weirdthamstow
Hello, I'm Max Philips, a British investigative journalist with a passion for uncovering the truth. From a young age, I was always curious about the world around me and I knew that I wanted to make a difference in it. After studying journalism at university, I started my career as a local reporter, covering everything from council meetings to community events. But it wasn't long before I realized that my real passion lay in investigative journalism.
Over the years, I've worked on some of the most challenging and controversial stories in the country. I've dug deep into corruption in government, exposed the dark underbelly of organized crime, and uncovered secrets that powerful people would rather keep hidden. Of course, it hasn't always been easy. There have been times when I've faced threats, intimidation, and even physical danger. But I'm driven by a sense of purpose and a belief that the truth should always be told.
After a series of unusual events which happened to me in the area of Walthamstow - north London UK, the area in which I live – I came to believe that something unusual was happening here, and set out to find if others had experienced the same as a passion project. I put out feelers and what I got back was a stunning number of the most bizarre and inexplicable stories I'd ever come across. From sightings of UFOs and cryptids to reports of haunted locations and strange supernatural occurrences. I immediately dedicated myself to uncovering the truth behind these mysteries. I've spoken to eyewitnesses, investigated alleged hotspots, and delved into historical archives in search of clues.
Investigating the paranormal is a complex and often controversial field, but I'm determined to approach it with a level head and a healthy dose of skepticism. My goal is to provide accurate and reliable documentation of the strange and unusual happenings in Walthamstow, and to give a voice to those who have experienced these phenomena firsthand.
I'm excited to share my experiences and insights with you and to explore the mysteries that surround us. Join me as I investigate the strange and unexplained in my local area and beyond. Together, we'll dive into the unknown and uncover the truth behind the paranormal.

Walthamstow Village & Churchyard
One of the loveliest bits of northeast London. It went from forgotten about except for a bad rap to a quite desirable postcode with prices to match. Very nice spot for weekend brunch and a stroll around; the museums, cafés, delis, small independent shops and quirky venues like God's Own Junkyard will keep you entertained. ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
