the acolyte’s fight scenes are so refreshing! this is the franchise with the best fictional weapon of all time, the laser sword, and acolyte takes the enormous risk of de-prioritizing this weapon. the majority of the fights are pure martial arts, wrestling + the force, and they even manufacture a situation where a jedi HAS to turn his saber off, or he’ll get killed. that’s how most of the characters die/get defeated, too: without a saber. AND IT PAYS OFF! even in a climatic ep like this where all the sabers need to come out, it gives the fights so much more weight. we understand that now the sabers are out, it’s serious. when jecki starts dual wielding, we know it’s dire. prior comedy beats like a saber’s hilt getting damaged (anakin’s in aotc) can now be played for horror. there’s so much creativity on display here, i hope all modern star war action follows suit

it’s crazy how much he’s her safe space her comfort her quiet

seok-ryu talked about how loud her mind is and how her brain got to a point where it was all over the place and overheating and just couldn’t compute anymore

and altho i think she thought going back home would help quiet it down it didn’t really- not until she’s with seung-hyo and he’s quietly walking next to her letting her know he’s there but also just….letting her breathe

a stark contrast to her ass of an ex who is either not there for her when her world is collapsing or is all up in her business not listening to her and going the fuck away

anyway. you just really get this sense of peace when it’s just the two of them, walking, either chatting or staying quiet and just….at peace.

Do you ever think about how Astarion must begin to finally enjoy non sexual acts of intimacy once he realises there is no expectation of them leading to sex.

Imagine him and Tav showering together because it feels so good for someone else to wash his hair for him, and plus the added bonus of each of them getting the filth off of their skin where they can't reach.

Or him and Tav giving each other massages after battle to ease their muscles, taking extra care with the tender parts, adding small kisses to the grazes as they go.

Cuddling in the silence of the night because it feels warm and safe, looking at the stars with their hands combing through each others hair and legs tangled together just because being close eases his heart.

It makes me so happy to think about him finally realising that these body focused intimate moments are just purely for love. They are gentle, kind, and everything opposite of what he was used to.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to him being able to just be with someone. He is enough, more than enough. And to Tav, he is everything and more.

my two favorite pieces of hbomberguy's video were these two tests/rules he has for video essays and making media:

"When I think a video is being lazy, I do a little test. I check what sources the video used... and I compare it with the sources you would get if you went to the Wikipedia page for the topic." (Hbomberguy, 55:07)

"I have a little rule for quoting that other creators seem to use as well. If someone saw a clip of your video out of context, would it be possible for them to tell you're quoting someone and where it's from?" (Hbomberguy, 48:18)

These rules I think can be applied to both the act of watching and creating. If you're creating something not intended to be cursory in nature, where are you getting your sources? After that first wikipedia search we all love to do, where do you go from there?

If you're consuming something, and it is intended to be informative in nature, can you go to a random time in it and understand where their sources are coming from?

It's ineffable, my dear

With a content sigh, the demon slung his left arm around the angel. He snaked his head across Aziraphale's right shoulder and nuzzled his nose against his cheek.

"Whatcha doin', angel?" Crowley murmured lazily and pressed a kiss against Aziraphale's temple. He felt the angel lean into the soft touch, humming softly.

"About to put the kettle on for my afternoon tea. Did you have a nice nap, dear?" His warm hand wrapped around Crowley's and tenderly caressed the skin on his wrist.

"Mrm. Would've been nicer if someone had allowed me to sleep around his neck."

Aziraphale chuckled.

"You nearly discorporated me last time, when you turned back into your human shape in your sleep, darling."

Crowley grinned about this particular memory. He wanted to tease his angel more, but his silly thoughts derailed when he felt Aziraphale's right hand reaching out and caressing his hair. The demon hummed appreciatively and leaned his face against the soft fabric of his sky-blue shirt. For Satan's sake, it shouldn't feel so nice to bask in Aziraphale's warmth and tender touch - he was a demon after all.

But on the other hand. He had grown quite comfortable in Aziraphale's presence. Every soft touch, every kiss, every affectionate nickname had burned away a tiny bit of Crowley's millennia-old defense. Truth be told, he really liked the tender affections, and to be soft and vulnerable and gentle. If he ever felt the urge to be demonic, he still had his plants to threaten.

With another sigh, he closed his eyes and leaned closer.

I felt the urge to draw some tooth rotting fluff again, and the urge to grin like an idiot was strong with this one. Hopefully, it gives you the same amount of dopamine as it gave me while drawing it <3
