dads when the 50 year old home they’ve been living in for the past 20 years (in the middle of nowhere, hasn’t been updated since it was built, has carpet from the Nixon administration, has a bug problem, has a leaky roof and has a bad well) isn’t a half a million dollar property or even a quarter of a mill property:

actually the most important skills you can teach your kids are household skills. boy or girl. household skills.

#i think so many people live in squalor who don’t have to bc they went out in the world without household skills #tried so many times and failed so many times they just gave up #and decided if they couldn’t keep their nicest possessions and resources intact then the rest had no value at all #mobile #x #like I’m all for a woman’s role being in the home but I do cringe when a man says he doesn’t know how to work the washing machine #what would you do if your wife died. how will your kids live

#my apologies to the east coast i was not aware of your game (environmental allergens)#it seems to be directly related to dewpoint #it was SUPPOSED to rain but instead its just HUMID and also i'm cold except it's. mid-70s rn #FORGOT to buy my friends birthday presents bc i was so lost in the ikea and home goods sauce and i'm big mad #you know what sparks joy? finding objects on etsy to gift to my friends for their birthdays #you know what does not spark joy? reading reviews on portable washing machines bc i need to wash my dog's diapers #but i do not want to wash his diapers in the communal building washer #geriatric dog diapers....god. it's like a more humiliating version of parenthood #anyway i found them objects and one of them was so cool that i'm actively covetous bc there was only one....#was talking to a mentor today and mentioned something i'd been thinking about idly and he said ''that's one of the most #competitive internships [in this field] in the country 🤨''#and in that moment i immediately committed whole ass to proving i could do it (the odds are stacked against me)#like yes i am stupid. yes i don't know what i'm doing. yes my eyes are itchy. yes my dog literally never stops peeing.#but i can TRY!!!!!#fresno oilers.txt

Use garment bags! When you do laundry! For sweaters and stuff! Turn them inside out too! Your nice clothes will stay nice sooo much longer!! Also stop using “fabric softener” and “dryer sheets”! Stop it right now!! You are destroying your machine and your clothes! Stop doing that! There are better ways!
