It’s been full on this last couple of weeks. I was away in Bucharest and now back and working on my new project. Capturing the roller skating scene in London. These images are from the @wavyon8 jam at Clapham on the 5th of June. Such a great atmosphere there. Reminded me of the clubbing scene in the late 90’s. Everyone so friendly. Yeh it’s about skating but it’s more everyone meeting up and having a good time. So cool to feel that energy again. Especially after all the crap we have been through this last year. 1st two images @skatewithsis and the last few images were taken when the flood lights got turned off. Everyone turned on their phone torches so they could continue to dance. New work I photographed at Luminarias festival last week. Held in San Bartolome de Pinares, about 100 KM west of Madrid. Las Luminarias is held annually on the eve of St Anthony. It is believed that riding horses through fires will keep diseases and bad luck away for the year ahead. The horses and riders are blessed by a priest at the beginning of the ride. It dates from the 16th Century. After the ride, there is food and wine through out the night. I met so many friendly people who live in the village and travelled to the festival.
