You were not the one to deny a second chance to anyone who needed it. However, this time things seemed different.

Adam was in Knowhere with the crew, so that meant he had to get along with everyone, including yourself. Not being fond of the idea, you tried to avoid the golden boy as much as it was possible for you.

Grateful you were he saved Peter, that was certain. But your heart wasn't sure of giving your trust to the sovereign. Not after what Rocket went through a couple of weeks ago.

"Mind giving him a chance?" the Raccoon once said, while cleaning his guns after a mission.

You were left alone in the Bowie, so Rocket thought it was a good chance to talk to you about him. As the captain, he knew you were hesitant about Adam's staying in Knowhere and near the team. Immediately, your eyes felt watery at the words of your friend.

"He almost got you killed," you said, with fists tight. "Why are you so fond of him after what happened?"

Rocket sighed.

"Listen, I'm sure he never asked to be built the way he is. I know that more than anyone in this place. He deserves a second chance to know who the hell he is and do the right thing, and that's what we're doing, like it or not."

The Raccoon finished the cleaning of his guns and walked outside the ship, without letting you give an answer, not that you had one anyway. You just followed him and Adam was already waiting for Rocket, with his new suit, looking all-mighty, and as you always tried to avoid him, it seemed it was hopeless.

"Adam, thanks for waiting! Why don't you go with Y/n for a walk? I'm sure you'll learn a lot of things about Knowhere and human culture," Rocket announced with a joyful voice as if the previous conversation never happened between you two inside the ship.

Adam seemed caught off guard as much as you did but he said nothing as the Raccoon looked at him directly. Adam nodded energetically. His face gave away all his thoughts and his feet would not move from its place.

"Great enthusiasm! Y/n, go ahead! And that's captain's orders," Rocket said, walking away from you and the golden boy, who remained in the same place with what seemed a scared face.

Carefully, you came closer to Adam and an uncomfortable smile formed on your lips.

"I guess I can teach you some things about Knowhere and humans..."

Adam gave a gentle smile. "I'd love that."

"But before we start, I want to say I don't like you around, so I would truly appreciate you don't screw up this time. You're lucky Rocket is here, either I wouldn't be this kind."

Sadness took over the golden boy, his heart aching for some reason he didn't quite understand yet. He didn't mean to do what he did, he was just following orders and a foreign purpose, but you wouldn't take that as an excuse, would you?

"I promise I won't, thank you for everything."

You nodded at his words and immediately regretted saying this, but you had to set up boundaries before things got worse.

"The answer is in clear view, it's amazing what you'll find face to face". ii. Face to Face by Daft Punk.

And things did get worse.

But not in the way you thought they would be.

You were starting to like Adam. He showed you the way he saw life and reality through his eyes and short understanding. You also noticed the way he cared about Blurp, the small creature he adopted, and that was something that hit you. As weeks passed by, you would report to Rocket how the process of Adam's learning and adaptation to Knowhere and society in the galaxy was going.

Much to say, Rocket was starting to feel proud of how you were handling the difficult situation he put you through. The change in Adam was noticeable as time went by. You taught him about manners, human culture, books, music, and anything he found interesting and would ask a lot about every time he had the chance.

One night, you sat together on the rooftop of the old buildings where your quarters were located, Blurp sleeping by his side peacefully. Drax and Nebula were teaching some personal defense to the rescued kids in the city, and let's say observing them was one of Adam's favorite hobbies. Still, you wondered why he found small things and interactions so fascinating.

"Drax is very fatherly," Adam said and his eyes crinkled at how big his smile was.

"He is," you agreed. The golden boy noticed the sudden change on your face as if you longed for something.

"Did you have a father back on Earth?"

You avoided his gaze at his sudden question. Adam sensed a weird feeling coming from you.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to make you uncomfortable," he apologized softly and you thought that was nice coming from him.

"It's okay," you whispered and after a moment of silence, you decided to speak. "I just- I lost everything. That's why I came here. A lot of my friends are gone, and I don't recall my family at all, I just knew them as my family."

Adam nodded and he hesitated to take your hand, lying on the ground. You were sitting so close, but instead of trying to get any contact from you, he followed your conversation.

"I heard from Rocket the name of your old team. He said you were a lot of help when Thanos appeared."

"Well, yeah, we did a lot of things," you chuckled to ease the situation. A small part of you wanted to ask about his people, but you decided to let him talk freely. "There was a lot of shit happening on Earth. But tell me more about you, could you? I've been saying a lot these past days, is your turn."

"I don't know if there's a lot to say about me, though," he joked. You smiled.

"Well, we have all night."

"All I know is that to me you look like you're lots of fun, open up your loving arms, watch out, here I come." iii. You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead Or Alive

After a few weeks, you accepted finally you liked Adam. Maybe a little more than that. Strange sensations you stopped feeling years ago appeared once again every time you were together. Denial was the first step, but you couldn't get through it, and the cliche butterflies fluttered in your stomach when he started to come to your quarters for his weekly lessons about culture and behavior.

When you became his teacher it was unknown to you, but you liked it and Adam loved learning new things as much as he loved spending time with you. He loved your company as much as he loved music, so since Peter sent a few things a couple of days ago from Earth, you decided to share a special gift with Adam after he stopped his prattling about the last book he read.

"So, maybe you know Peter sent us some stuff from Earth, so I wanted to give you something that I think you will love a lot," you announced taking a small box out of the cabinet.

Adam received it in his hands carefully and opened the box to find a small strange device. "What is this?"

"That's an mp3 player, and you can listen to music with it. Anywhere you go."

His eyes went wide open and a smile formed on his lips, resting his arms on the desk with the player and the small headphones in his hand. You turned it on and helped him to put on the headphones. Peter had created some playlists, so you picked the first one on the list and a song began to play.

Adam marveled at it.

"This is amazing!" he laughed. He picked one of the headphones and gave it to you, so you could hear the music as well. You Spin Me Round by Dead Or Alive was playing.

"I haven't heard this song in such a long time," you beamed, remembering your life on Earth. The weird urgency of dancing was growing on your body.

Adam got lost in the mp3 in his hands. He thought he discovered another dimension, something that would make him feel different, more like you. And it was heartwarming. He loved how you made him feel, how you two grew up to understand each other, the way you would listen to him whenever he had to talk about the tiniest thing he learned on the day... You certainly got him wrapped around your finger and you never noticed.

When the song finished, he stopped the playlist, taking off the headphone from his ear and you did the same.

"Thanks," he never stopped smiling. "This means a lot to me."

"Take care of it, we won't have a new one in some time," you joked.

Adam chuckled, placing the player on its box.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You already did."

"Yeah, I mean- we didn't have a good start-"

"That's in the past, okay? Let's just move on and I'm so sorry for being an asshole," you took his hand with yours, he seemed shocked by your small action as you locked your eyes with his. "This is more important."

Adam nodded with a smile, "I agree with that."

There it was again, that same feeling in your stomach, screaming and aching for you to make a movement. His loving golden eyes never looked away from you, and you came closer carefully until your lips brushed his cheek softly. Adam's gold skin heated up, he realized he liked the contact of your hand on his skin and your lips on his cheek.

"Can I kiss you?" you asked, afraid he might decline.

He read about kisses in books before, and he wondered how they felt. So without a word, he nodded and you leaned until you kissed him. And he kissed back, as shy as he could be. Adam hesitated for a moment, but he slowly melted into your confident and experienced touch, grinning into the kiss.

Once you separated, Adam held your hand strongly without letting you go.

"Wow," he breathed. "Can I kiss you back?"

"Kiss me as many times as you want," you giggled softly and pecked his lips. "We should make a playlist, especially for you, I will help you with that. Peter said he put hundreds of songs in this thing."

This was his turn to peck your lips gently with a smile on his face.

"Feeling excited already!"

A random thought: I have mixed feelings about the new audiobooks. Some of them are good but the audio balancing is weirdly off between the narration and footnotes. I think they should have just got Nigel Planar to do all the books he hadn't done and same with Stephen Briggs so that all the fans would be happy /j

An unpopular opinion: Not as unpopular on Tumblr but Pterry isn't above criticism! He's clearly one of my fave authors and I think he did a lot of good writing but he obviously had faults and it does him a disservice to pretend he was some kind of saint.

My canon OTP: This one is hard bc there aren't actually a ton of canon ships in Discworld, but my fave is SamSybil. Mostly I'm just a ride or die for Sybil and Sam makes her happy so I will always ship it. Lofty/Tonker is also up there.

Non-canon OTP: PollyMal even though like its bascially canon imo. But y'all already knew this about me

Most badass character: Truly how can you answer this for Discworld. I'm gonna go with Tiffany Aching for beating the Queen of the Fairies at 9 entire years old! (I also read this when I was about her age so I have a soft spot for her.)

Pairing I am not a fan of: I am an autistic aroace Vetinari truther and so I simply cannot get behind V/V. I'm glad y'all are having fun with that though

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I wanted more Agnes. I think she was going to be the up and coming witch before Tiffany came on the scene and I LOVE Tiff but I still wish Agnes could have had a more concrete arc.

Favourite friendship: This should've been the ship question, I feel like friendships are where this series shines. Angua&Cheery is really sweet, Granny&Nanny is so funny and you can tell they care so much about each other.

but i feel like sometimes reader inserts are original characters. i really love incorporating backstories, personality, etc into them because even though they’re blank slates, you can pretend that you’re a different personality than your own whenever you reader a reader insert. it’s almost necessary for me to make them distinct in my longer fics.

in a previous fandom i ended up writing a [character] x reader fic on request for a soft and shy reader. i ended up writing 9k-ish words on this reader that looks scary because they’re huge compared to other people, but they had an adorable hobby along with being a gentle giant. i ended up giving that reader a proper name, design, and never shared my oc outside of my friend group but i love them dearly even if i’m not so active in that fandom anymore…!

oh-!! uhm, yes, we are long-distance. overseas, lol. our financial situations n visas n Worldwide Regulations mean we haven't met in-person yet… our plans keep getting pushed back for such-n-such reasons, but we got like. a Specific Goal this year, that'll coincide with other reasons for him to be in the states. etc.

AS FOR THE, 'MEET CUTE,' he was aware of me beforehand. we - my 'best friend,' (one of them) who is also his best friend is… his ex… for a time, when i was in between clusterfucks of relationships whether For Real romantic or fp(s) on unrequited (@ me- i was not, interested in either of them. flips hair) crushes or whatever - i referred to them, as, my 'wife' in a tongue-in-cheek way

THIS CERTAINLY. MADE HIM REACT. he knew me prior, still, but calling his ex - 'my wife!' got his eye. and his ire. i, oblivious, of this one-sided enemy (jokes) … anyway, our mutual Best Friend at some? point? hosted a stream. quiet, not too busy, as it was a friends-only affair. i was either lonely, or bored, maybe some mix of the two, or felt as thought i was Neglecting my best friend due to my then-chaotic IRL life and housing situation. so, i, watched. i think only me n my bf were there, perhaps a third person dipped our during, etc.

he was polite enough. both of our schedules were free, he was unemployed, yada yada, i was in desperate need of Companionship, so we exchanged discords. and i remember. keenly. my first, guttural, Reaction was

Liveblogging the fascinating (not) family reunion weekend I am merely serving as the getaway driver for:

We're in Asheville, NC, which is absolutely beautiful, with mountains surrounding even the aggressively suburban area where we're staying; I've been once before, but we really only stopped for coffee and a short walk in the downtown area then; we're from Atlanta, so this was a nearly four hour drive for us

We've had to bring one of our three cats along, bc she gets insulin injections twice a day, and that was more than what our friends were really comfortable doing; the hotel technically only allows dogs, but the desk agent said they'd look the other way this once

The family that is reunioning belongs to my roommate, B; B and I have known each other for close to ten years now, and lived together for... three years or so now? and B isn't comfortable with driving more than about 30 minutes to places they're already familiar with, hence my involvement both as chauffeur and, genuinely, get away driver if things don't go well

B is related to these people via their dad, who is dead, and they're glad he's dead; he was also persona non grata among these people when he was alive, not just for his personality but also bc he did things like drink and be poor, which are equally unacceptable to these people

We got off to a rough start, with a flat tire of course appearing overnight, but we still got here in time to get the cat settled in the room before dinner, and on the whole it was a fine drive with me pointing at mountains and rocks and otherwise turning into my mom

We did only just get settled in at the hotel before driving to dinner, which was going to be at Olive Garden until it was discovered that the wait time there for a group our size was nearly two hours, so we popped across the street to a place called "Cornerstone", which has a mix of basically all American cuisine with servings the size of your head

B rode over with their aunt, who sends B paper coupons in the mail and suggested we simply leave the cat in the car the whole weekend!

Once here, they sat all the spouses at a separate table, which was smaller so I got to sit at the table with the "siblings", all of whom are in their 50's; this split has resulted in much walking back and forth to decide what everyone was splitting with each other, the way that most people that have been married for a couple decades do

Of course, this means that the four people who know each other the least and only have someone else's family in common must now make conversation for over an hour, but they do have the benefit of having been dragged along to these for, again, decades

The other people at the "blood related" table are one uncle's Dominican wife who is half his age and her middle school aged son from a previous relationship, both of whom moved here only two years ago; the wife is lovely but doesn't speak or understand much English, and we can't speak or understand much Spanish, which has been her entire life since she moved to America

I know three people's names: coupon aunt, her husband, and the uncle with the ethically dubious relationship; I think they are also the only people who know my name... maybe

The previous family reunion that B attended (missing the one that was held on a cruise ship 😬) included the aunts and uncles and the cousins B's age repeatedly not telling them plans in time for them to get ready, and then straight up leaving them behind, for things ranging from hikes to entire meals; hence, my involvement: if B runs behind bc of these people not communicating, I'll just drive them wherever they need to be, and if they start acting like assholes (which they have also done in the past), then we'll pop the beast back in her carrier and head home!

Of course, they also managed to make dinner conflict with the demon beast's shot (8 and 8, always), so I simply asked for boxes with my meal at dinner, ate the tastiest bits at the table, and then wrapped the rest up and brought it back to the hotel with me to administer the shot on time, which is a win to me bc I got to skip all the awkward conversations!

(The fuzzy piss machine wasn't too keen on the hotel room and all its smells at first, but she's since discovered that leaping from bed to bed is the most fun she's had in ages, plus she got fed at the usual time, so perhaps this okay after all.)

We're here until Sunday (it's Thursday night now), so we'll see how the rest of the reunion goes

I saw that anon ask about how "kinning" became a thing bc our community got ripped apart, so i wanted to give some more history on otherkin.

Back in the 70's, there was a group of people who identified as elves from lotr. They were called the elf queens daughters and considered everyone who wasn't an elf "other kind". Flash forward to the 90's. On alt.horror.werewolves the 'were' community starts forming, containing not just people who identified as wolves (werewolves) but a plethora of other animals (such as weretigers, werebears, weredholes, etc). Anyone identifying as a terrestrial animal was welcome into the therian community, and they had now come up with a name, therianthropy. On other forums similar things were happening in parallel, draconians (dragons) found each other, unicorns found each other. For people identifying as anything non human, the otherkind community was there. After a bit the d fell off and it became otherkin. These four communities found each other and started mixing a bit, existing under the 'alterhuman' umbrella. I don't know when (im a therian so i stayed mainly in those places) but at some point people identifying as fictional people (fiction kin) and as plants (phylanthropes i think) also found their way to the community. They were probably there from the beginning too.

Alterhumans turned out to quite frequently already be existing in places that were not the mainstream, such as fandom. Many are neurodivergent/queer/mentally ill/whathaveyou. Already on the fringes, and quite frequently only out on the internet. So when fandom went mainstream (around game of thrones i think, but it had probably been an ongoing change for a while) suddenly there was a lot of new folks adjacent to our spaces. At first they mainly just made any and all harassment more frequent (i believe anti-otherkin trolls where the ones to coin 'kinning' but i could be wrong about that) but soon enough they had spread our terms (twisted out of shape) to the newcomers in fandom. Suddenly being kin no longer meant that you on the deepest level felt that you were this thing (in all ways except physical, to quote one of our 'celebrities'). Suddenly, it just meant that you liked a character. Suddenly it was a thing only teens do. Suddenly, our community all but disappeared. Because now we no longer had our language, and we couldn't find each other. You just found people who would harass and bully you if you "seriously think you're a squirrel". We are almost as separated from each other as we were before the internet allowed us to find one another.

This probably got kinda long but i feel like people need to know what happened to us and our community. Now, there are forums and such out there. There are still a few places left. But on the grand scale of things the loss of our language has caused us to be dispersed.

I do wanna share a cool story about finding others irl tho. I am not out and i never will be. At uni i was having lunch with some friends, and one person from the year under. I cant remember what we were talking about but suddenly he pointed to my shirt (that had wolves on it) and said something along the lines of "we're both wolves/animals". He then tapped his nose and said "i know my own kind". I will never forget that, haha. I have no clue how he knew bc i think im pretty good at hiding it. But i knew he was, bc his Facebook profile didn't lead to much doubt. It never mentioned our terms/words, but it might just as well have.

Sorry if this got long. I hope i have spread some information on where "kinning" came from, aka trolls that destroyed a more than three decade old community.

moon: 6/10 i have mixed feelings about this one to be truthful, it can definetely be a hit but also a huge miss. there is a lot going on in their heads and hearts and they tend to overthink to the point they end up blaming you for things they themselves made up. Listen to their words when mad, it says what they wanted to say all along

rising: 9/10 im positive about this one tbh, like i as already mentioned in one of my posts before, they definetely have more of the "gemini" look than actual gemini sun people. They somehow look always very young or younger than they actually are atleast. Cute people <3 but maybe tend to be a little arrogant, what a tragedy

Aquarius

sun: 4/10 i definetely dont feel positive about aquas. Maybe its just the ones ive met i dont know, what ive experienced was just a complete turn off to be honest. Yet to be fair, i wanna mention they can be incredibly creative and there not getting enough credit for that. They have a universe inside of them they only show a few. Also very tragic

moon: 3/10 theyre over dramatic, Also not very good at expressing what bothers them so they tend to ghost people often - they can be mean as hell just bc they feel offended + they take things personally very fast

rising: 7/10 we're going somewhere. Aqua risings tend to be very upfront, maybe a little TOO upfront, to the point they will just shit on you just because. Well it could be better but as a friend of a friend, could be quite funny since they can be storytellers. but be warned: maybe ull become one of their stories

Capricorn

sun: 9/10 i really do like them, they always bring jokes that are just out of pocket but u will catch urself laughin still. They can be very mature and serious people if needed tho and they can give very good advice about whatever topic

moon: 7/10 lets not deny the fact that cap moons were probably the kids in school which always got mad if certain group projects weren't done how they would've done it, still I usually vibe with them bc theyre very trustworthy and empathic (if they want to)

rising: 8/10 i do feel good about it aswell - they come off as very collected, organized and clean. I feel like they take their first impression very seriously and are afraid anyone could NOT see them as anything i listed above. I miss a little resting here tho so cap rising: please consider a break!

Cancer

sun: 10/10 i love cancer suns, they so often possess such a calm yet bright energy which can influence the people all around them. Ive always felt so understood by cancers and memories with them always stuck out to me

moon: 6/10 i feel like cancer moons can be extremely problematic if not evolved. They tend to project their insecurities onto u too and make it your problem. They can be the person that always vents to you but will never let you vent to them. But evolved this placement can be just like cancer suns - incredibly understanding (maybe even psychic)

rising: 11/10 idk i find them a true masterpiece tbh. I feel like cancer risings look more like a "cancer" than typical cancer suns - its the same with gemini. I know i will probably be alone with this but i think this placement just left out all the "negative" traits about being a cancer and just claimed the best bc thats what it feels like to me

Happy hump day! (How is it Thursday tomorrow already?! The week is flying by and I am not complaining bc I have a much needed day off on Friday)

Work was a bit crazy this morning. Stayed an extra hour to help get us back on track after someone called in sick so we all had to start taking on extra jobs as well as our own. But we did really well! Saved some avocados that were due to be wasted and had one on a bagel for my lunch when I got home. Caught up very briefly with Matthew but he was working so I took Maggie out to play in the garden for an hour until he had to go out to work.

Had a lovely evening with young Mags, some really good training both at home and on our walk. At home we played tug and worked on 'pick it up' as a precursor to 'fetch it here' bc so far she just will not come to me with a toy. She always puts it down before coming to me lol. Our walk got off to a slightly bumpy start with some lunging and barking at people we passed but after a few she calmed down and would just pull a bit in their direction as they passed which was much more manageable. So great progress there to cling on to! AND bc she was doing so well I took her to the Metro station to watch the trains. We stood in between the 2 platforms and watched a train pull up and leave on each side. She sat really nicely a lot of the time, would look at me when I asked her despite the distractions, and didn't lunge or bark at anyone or anything! A bigger, louder train passing by on the next track over spooked her a little before we left but otherwise it went much better than I expected! And the whole walk I would say her name regularly and ask her to look at me and she's definitely getting good at that which I'm hoping we can use when cars / runners / cyclists approach - if she'll look at us we can tell her to sit / wait / leave it / come along, rather than her being totally fixated and preparing to bark and chase no matter what. So I think we're making progress even though every time she lunges and barks makes me feel like we're not. I keep telling Matthew we just have to cling onto these baby steps! I think she's doing awesome. I'm so proud of her for tonight. Also, I found her sleeping on the coffee table last night. No idea why but she just loves to sit / lie on that table 😂

and secondly, dw, marius is my favourite too lol, he reminds me a lot of my younger cousin who i lived with when i was younger. i was always the one who took care of him and marius calling me older sister just set off so much memories of my childhood. the both of them are also vv similar in personality, attention seeking, playful and artistic so i always see him whenever i look at marius.

artem is probably my second favourite ngl, ever since i read his ssr where he was jealous and got drunk (what a good combination lmao) i just grew so soft for him. at the end of the day, he's just a vv soft sweetheart who's insecure that we'll leave him :(( i have like 3 ssrs at lvl36, two of them are artem cards and the other is luke. i vibe with luke too bc i love the childhood friends trope, it's top tier. and as for vyn... i have vv mixed feelings abt him. i feel like he could so easily see through me if he was real and i'm just like, how about no. he's rlly pretty though, like rlly pretty.

and you've finished the archon quests!!! personally, i feel like the ending felt a bit rushed(?). it's weird bc i thought the resistance war against the raiden shogun was supposed to be the center of the story, but it just devolved to us helping yae with the entire war being swept to the side. and i already knew somebody was gonna die, and as soon as i saw that teppei had become the captain, i just knew.

it's interesting bc i would love to explore what happened to la signora and scaramouche to make them so disregarding of human life. like, i don't like them, but i want to understand their minds. it's sad to read signora's artifact's background honestly. and the fact that her crown said she used to be called rosalyne, that she had perhaps once led a more innocent and naive existence. i dunno, to me it seems like a good ending for her honestly, she had already lost herself after her lover's death and brings pain to many others, i don't think she can rlly return to being her again.

and honestly, a lot of people are talking abt scaramouche not telling signora he already had the gnosis and saying that he orchestrated her death, i don't rlly think so. i feel like he's just that apathetic to human life, even if it's someone that stands on his side, he just doesn't care enough. it also says how he never got along with anyone, not even his fellow harbingers, so i don't know why ppl expect him to seek out someone he doesn't like just to warn her of danger.

i vibe with scaramouche and la signora as the antagonists bc they're good antagonists, but as characters, well. other than the fact that they're pretty, they have like one likeable trait and that is their loyalty. they would do anything for the tsaritsa even if it cost them their life. i'm rlly excited to see what the tsaritsa has in store for us in the future.

considering our sibling is nicknamed 'the prince/princess', i wonder if there's gonna be a day where we're gonna have to go toe to toe with them. if we had them backed them into a corner with no way out, i wonder if they would kill us. it would be an interesting twist if we could actually die, but i feel like the protagonist halo will prevent it lol and i'm sorry bc god, this is so long.

now that the excitement’s worn off, i can now judge things properly. i think that… the pacing is horrible. like the plot is good, genuinely, but there’s just,, so much to explore abt this. if you think abt it, this is the climax and yet we didnt get much. scratch that. we got a lot but it’s all underdeveloped that it felt like nothing. we go to sangonimiya, got promoted, became captain for like, one sec before we are sent onto an investigation that didnt really produce any results bc app teppei alr knows everything? and then the delusion thing is a good plot point but it’s not really explored? just… a lot of things are left unexplored and i think that story wise, a lot of the possible lore explanations went down the drain. it would’ve been nice if we saw more abt the rebellion and if we had gotten to know whats the real deal w the commissions but eh… idk… i would’ve rather done more quests abt this whole storyline than like… do that whole dance w the three people who lost their vision in 2.0.

if im going to be honest, la signora is such a wasted character. like maybe her death was just for the shock factor or maybe it’s to prepare us for more harbinger encounters in the future.. idk but she’s such a good character from what we’ve seen but we know jack shit abt her and her motives. we know a little from the artifact set but beyond that, what do we have?

precisely! that’s how i feel abt this whole thing when we’re talking seriously. like w ei, i dont really agree w whatever they’re doing but i want to understand why they do the things that they do. everything has a reason and their psychology is just interesting to me.

i think scaramouche’s nature makes it easy for him to disregard human life. call it arrogance or whatever but ultimately, he’s seeing himself as smth above all these people bc he’s more or less capable of standing toe to toe w a god. why should he bother telling signora? it’s not like he gains anything if he does. i think that when he got the gnosis, he’s just ‘well she dies if she dies. who cares abt that? i dont have any need for incompetent colleagues anw’ i agree and i dont think he orchestrated her death but at the same time, he just allowed it to happen too.

as for signora, i’m actually surprised? for the most part, i think that the harbingers took their posts for selfish reasons. for scara, it’s to entertain himself and pass time. for childe, it’s to fight and grow stronger. for dottore, it’s to conduct dubious research w/o anyone stopping him. i expected signora to have some similar motive like power or money but it seems like she does actually believe in the tsaritsa? it would be very intriguing if signora’s main motive in becoming a harbinger is simply bc she is loyal to the tsaritsa and her will. bc in contrast, i think scara and dottore are more loyal to the fact that the tsaritsa can give them what they want, not bc they actually like her. actually, idek if they’re willing to die for her lol. like i wouldnt be surprised if they suddenly abandon post in a life or death situation but who knows…

in any case, they are very good antagonists. i like yo think that the tsaritsa isnt as bad as the game portrays her to be… of all the gods, she’s the one im looking forward to the most but… haha… what version would that be….

i’m almost certain that they’ll make us fight our twin maybe before we face the unknown god? if one of them dies, i would be very sad. like legit. but knowing mhy, well, our twin is almost 100% a walking death flag.
