Sometimes I laugh when I think back to that post an anti made on twitter a while back, claiming that Wang Zhuocheng was a bad actor because he conveyed too many emotions through his performance and as such mischaracterised Jiang Cheng (you know.. the character that went on a fucking rollercoaster of emotions throughout the story..)..

What they really mean is that they felt something watching his performance and refuse to accept that he's a great actor playing an equally great role and they're just mad that he played it so well that they actually sympathised with the character. 😊

At which point did you realise that the plot of IW is ass? I've seen people complain only about the ending or the halfway point where the teams separate, while I was already actively rolling my eyes like four-five chapters in

i think the moment i fully accepted that IW's story was. Definitely A Story was the moment ebina announced 'bleach japan'. like i think leading up to that point i was thinking to myself 'oh i hope i see X happen' or being like 'i wonder where this is going' and that sort but the proverbial bucket of ice was definitely that moment

you know i'm usually the last person to have strong opinions on movie casting announcements but the idea of jacob elordi playing heathcliff stirs a fiery sense of indignation in my heart

everyone here was soooo excited because a national channel was going to bring back this iconic tv series, directed specifically to the youth, from our childhood and adolescence that we are so nostalgic about after 11 years for them to disappoint us all with the trailer because it looks like elite 2.0

#they ruined morangos com açúcar i dont think you guys understand #this was supposed to be a cliché show with bad acting about students and dramas at school not a fucking disappearing mystery show #with parties and sex and whatnot 😭#they're making it release in 10 episode seasons like streaming shows too.... that's not morangos!!!!! anfngngnbg #the vibe is so different that it actually makes no sense why they would try to tie it with the other seasons plot and actors shsjshs #yes morangos had your occasional topics of teenage pregnancy and queerness and all that jazz but it was actually explored well #the way they're making girls kiss and parties happening and everything of those sorts in the new season is literally like any of those #spanish teenage shows with too much sex scenes and it's embarrassing actually.#the essence of our national tv is getting lost because they want to do stuff that 'sells' except morangos never sold because it was trendy #or even good because the acting was honestly not great. it was literally our company and part of our routine all year around almost #it was the show we would arrive from school to watch before dinner every day #we watched them experience the school year at the same time we did and on holidays there was a special summer edition #it was a whole thing that this new version isn't.#it was a novela directed for the youth and not whatever show they're trying to make and i'm so mad #i actually wanted to see it. morangos was special to so many of us everybody knows the songs everybody loves the artists that came from #that generation we all grew up watching it.... literally.#and capitalism strikes again 👍#the auditions were a joke too. they announced auditions for anyone who would like to because another thing about morangos is that it was #a talent factory it gave opportunity to newbie actors and pushed their careers and the new season has a bunch of already renown actors and #actresses and they didn't even care to hide how fake and rigged the public auditons were lol #anyways never building expectations about anything ever again this actually broke my heart man agjshs #i'm gonna mourn this listening to d'zrt 4taste and just girls ✊

@gay-jewish-bucky IT REALLY FUCKING IS. No matter what if it’s a canon gay couple it’s just not going to be good enough for the exact same people who complain about wanting more gay rep. Part of getting gay rep is accepting that we’re going to get rep for all kinds of gays, all kinds of relationships, all levels of relevance - not just the kind that some people want or deem acceptable.

We finally have what is, in my opinion, a pretty well balanced canon queer ship that isn’t just ~hints and eye contact~, that isn’t squeaky clean, that have meaningful conversations and show love and affection like it’s not a big deal. It’s treated on equal levels to any straight ship on the show and I think that’s a breath of fresh goddamn air tbh.

I know people are always going to complain, but this topic has gotta be one of the most annoying and most exhausting ones. People should be happy we get any kind of lgbtqa+ rep, and that that rep is getting not just more diverse over the years but better too. There’s never going to be Perfect Queer Representation and to bitch and hold out for it?? To nitpick the fuck out of every ship?? Why would you, y’know??

yes yes actor commentary can be fun ok whatever. director commentary is where it’s really at though fuck these actors. oh the actors have jokes? the directors are overflowing with earnest love for their creation. so that’s that

#the thing about merlin commentary is that bradley james does not like this show very much. and conversely the directors all love it #all the actors make fun of everything and then the directors come on and they’re just so happy that the episode all came together at all #jeremy webb was so excited that the scene at the lake in gates of avalon looked remotely good because there’s a rule that actors couldn’t go #underwater in the lake and they had to intercut between them and doubles and angle it right and do little tricks #and he was just thrilled about it.#and then you put he actors in an episode commentary and they’re like lol we’re watching a rough cut they didn’t finish the cgi dragon haha #like oh my god who cares! like oh your show is kind of poor quality? should we tell everyone? should we throw a party?#should we invite robert pattinson. like where is your whimsy and love for having partook in the divine act of creation. lol #merlin liveblog

#went to the writing thing!!! got a GOOD amount of work done did a Quick Sweep of my second act to edit more in depth later #and talked to some cool people about art and gender and disability and politics and stuff!!!!!!!#it's Nice being around people who aren't My People because i feel like i'm allowed to have opinions #ANYWAYS my bpd has been spiking because of [redacted] doing [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted]#BUT i have evening plans of watching adventuring party and planning out more Long Term work <3 #ALSO I BOUGHT MYSELF A NON-SAFE DRINK AND I LIKED IT #as in not one of my safe foods #i got a little strawberry yogurty drink thing and it was really nice!!!! AND it was only 90p!!!!!#and i walked home as the sun set and it was really nice even though i got lost because i was in a part of the city i'm not used to #BUT i managed to navigate all by myself (by following bus stops of the bus i got up to the place)#currently feeling very in my bejeweled era. feeling very i miss you but i miss sparkling!!!!!!!#i love discovering myself again after Trauma and Horrors. sadly this will probably all go away on saturday but we stay silly!!!1 #i just feel more like a Person when i'm on my own or with people i'm not close to #ALSO I BOUGHT A BOOK TODAY #it was one of my favourite poets and i got to talk about him with the bookstore owners and it was so nice to have people Understand #AND I TALKED ABOUT WRITING PLAYS WITH A GUY WHO WAS ALSO WORKING ON HIS PLAY #we talked about being actor-writers and Bridging The Gap of the two mediums #he also recommended me some workshops i was going to sign up for anyway but it was nice of him :)#i LOVE being in queer and neurodivergent spaces!!!!!#i was very shy and socially anxious but i was able to approach people and have conversations the whole time!!!!#i did sit on my own to do my work but i preferred it that way :) i also needed so much table space for all my pages #ANYWAYS. rambling over. had a nice evening. this is my little journal entry :)

WATCH OUT #anyway. i was and am absolutely blown away #i understood why its so beloved basically as soon as i started playing it but by the time i got to the end iw as like yeah #this deserves goty and all the actors and writers and everyone who worked on it deserves every award and 1 trillion dollars #it could be because of recency bias lol but i think late act 3 ended up being my favorite section of the game #which i wasnt expecting! lots of people seem to dislike it and i understand why (frame drops + overwhelming amount of content etc.)#but idk i really loved it. the iron throne and house of hope alone (i did those a couple days ago) were STELLAR #yesterday's tasks included killing gort and then going to the morphic pool and finishing the game and i was just enraptured the whole time #the morphic pool and everything that comes after it were just INCREDIBLE #one of the things that stuck out to me the most about the game the entire time i played it but *ABOVE ALL* in act 3 #was the way it makes the stakes feel REAL #the companions are so well written and well acted that i felt genuine attachment to them and they had huge emotional impacts on me #like when i got to the pool i was actually kind of afraid of whatever was coming (i had a rough idea of WHO i would meet)#(but not what would happen or how the fights would go)#and when i turned to my companions and i was like umm. do you think we can do this #and shart was like yes we can :) think of everything we did. that wasn't luck that was US #and la3'z3l was like 'THE GITH WILL BE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' i was like YES MAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#and i felt so reinvigorated like i was still nervous but i was like well if they believe in me i can do anything #and i am #1 lae'zel defender (not that she needs a defender because shes insane in battle but you know)#so when she was like WE WILL WIN i was like OKAY!! YES WE WILL!! WHATEVER YOU SAY MAAM!! I LOVE YOU!!!#shes so cool shes like my awesome best friend who is not real but i love her anyway #shart is also my best friend but in a different way (i like to think her and my character just bonded really hard over the course of the st #ry especially both being half elves idk i just love them and by the end it seemed like they built a really beautiful friendship)#anyway back on topic. the stakes felt real because of the companions AND because of the npcs and attention to detail #for rp purposes i had my character keep a few notes in his inventory that were just from random unspecified npcs #but they were like 'dont let gortash win' 'i dont want to die to the absolute cult' etc. as like a remember what you're fighting for thing #i just felt so strongly pulled into the world of the game the whole time especially at the end i was like holy fuck #i gotta save all these people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
