I know having so many base pairs makes rebasing complicated, but you're in Bilateria, so shouldn't you at LEAST be better at using git head?
Lungfish [Explained]
Transcript Under the Cut
[Cueball is standing on the end of a wooden dock looking down at a Lungfish sticking its head out of the water.]
Lungfish: It turns out I've been editing both Copy of Copy of Gene v3(Newest)(2) and Copy of Copy of Gene v3(Final)(2), so now I can't delete either one.Cueball: You have got to stop doing this. Lungfish: It's fine, I'll just buy more storage.
[Caption below comic:] Why Lungfish have such enormous genomes.

One of you, my dears ( @penpen363 ✨), asked me to draw a fanart where my Ineffable Parents are finally alone after putting the children to sleep. I got carried away (again) and I drew a full short comic🤭✨

It's a bit of a spoiler to say so, but if you like webcomics and want a taste of this sort of world, I encourage you to seek out A Girl And Her Fed: https://agirlandherfed.com/
The archives are quite deep, though. It will take you a while to get back to current. And, full disclosure, the story is into the last phase.
One of the ways that people make fun of originalist interpretation of the constitution is "séance with the founding fathers", but damned if I don't think that's the coolest possible premise for a legal system.
There are a bunch of guys floating around in the afterlife, and the government has a whole branch devoted to communing with them to get their interpretation of an increasingly-distant society that has moved on in terms of science, culture, and demography? You have to explain to Madison what a router is? You sit Hamilton down and break the news of 9/11 to him?
So many places you can go with the idea, it's really solid from a worldbuilding perspective. There's even a term for it, necrocracy, rule by those who have died. And it bakes in all these conflicts about the direction of the world and who has the ultimate say in what happens next.
And every time I see someone deride originalism with "séance with the founding fathers" I get distracted by the worldbuilding of it.

Relatable.
Image is a three-panel comic strip drawn mainly with simple black lines, only the featured cat is filled in with yellow. In the first panel, the cat sits on top of a cat tree and says « this bed is too hard. » In the second panel, the cat sits on top of a cat bed on the floor and says, « this bed is too soft. » In the third panel, a human is tucked into bed and the cat is sitting on the human’s head, obscuring their face. The cat says, «this bed is just right. » The comic is signed, « theycantalk.com » in the lower right corner.

I hate that I drew this nearly ten years ago and it still feels relevant.

I really enjoyed most of those. Ranma 1/2, Misfile, Valkyrie Yuki, and The Wotch definitely formed a large part of my teenage comic consumption. I’m not trans, myself, but I’ll be darned if all those genderbender stories weren’t fun. I do think Ranma 1/2 becoming huge in the more niche American “otaku” fandom really influenced independent comic creators at the time. Even Antarctic Press had a lot of genderbender stories around that time, and the editor, Ben Dunn, was very explicitly influenced by Rumiko Takahashi’s work—especially evident in Ninja High School which heavily borrows from Urusei Yatsura in its premise, with some Ranma flavoring mixed in when that series came out.
You know, I joke a lot about Ranma 1/2 cracking my egg, but I do want to say that it only really started the process and the numerous TGTF webcomics I read back in the day did a lot to continue it. The Wotch, El Goonish Shive, Abstract Gender, Misfile, Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki...I was obsessed with all of these as a young teen and just constantly fantasized about being turned into a girl...
Still took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to realize most guys don't fantasize about that.

Asking one of the obvious questions
I tried to think of an obvious question to put here as a joke, but I couldn't think of one. I guess the obvious question wasn't obvious.
