As soon as Shuichi leaves, Kokichi stares ahead at the horde of Shadows before him. "Hehe....I guess....that was a lie, huh?" The battle is about to start, and he recalls one thing Shuichi (and I guess Kaito and Maki also) said to him.

Shuichi: You know...you always cause mischief, get on Maki's nerves, and insult Monotaro every ten minutes. It's like...you want to be alone. You've been alone for a while, haven't you? Ever since the incident with Tsumugi and DICE? I know...we can't replace them or fill the void that they left, but I want you to know... you're not alone, Kokichi.

Kaito: Y'know, I always wondered why your Codename was General. Sure, your Talent's the Ultimate Supreme Leader, but your personality is beyond too childish to warrant it. But...I suppose in a way, you have the best insight out of us here, and you make the hard choices that no one wants to, despite the risks....don't lie, i remember you being all worried when you made that one choice!
