Everything felt very blurry, every one of Tubbo's sensations pinned into a single touch. Pac's hand on his arm. His smile was more blinding than the sun and Fit was by his side. It felt like they had been hanging out for hours. Tubbo wasn't sure what they had been doing. Everything was distant. He wasn't even sure where they were right now.
“I love you,” Pac said, sounding as if his voice was coming through a tunnel.
“What?” Tubbo tried to say but no sound came out of his mouth. “I love you too,” he tried to say. Nothing. He tried to scream. Tried to get any of it out. “I love you. I love you. I love you I love you I love you.”
Pac was smiling at him through his growing distress. “It's okay,” he said, his voice sounding even farther than before. Fit was stepping back with every beat of Tubbo's heart in his ears.
Fit was pulling Pac back.
“Wait,” Tubbo pleaded. “Wait for me. Bring me with.”
Pac was fading into the black of the nothingness surrounding them.
Fit was right up in his face now, searching his expression with desperate eyes. “Tubbo,” he said.
“Fit. I don't understand. Don't leave me, man.”
Fit smiled sadly at him, before taking his face in his hands and kissing him on the forehead. Tubbo's eyes fluttered shut. It was so warm.
His touch was gone in an instant like he had blown away with the wind. Tubbo opened his eyes while tears threatened to spill out.
“Why?” he asked softly to the emptiness with no reply.
Tubbo awoke with a start. He gasped as tears slid down his cheeks, his hands reaching around desperately to find human touch. Nothing.
“Sunny?” he said, sitting up.
Across the room was one of her signs. “Hello my pa!” it read.
“Hello, Sunny,” Tubbo said. She must have just placed it. They were around here. They were right there. They were right in front of him. She was waiting for him. “Sunny, I love you.”
“I love you too pa :D”
She wasn't there. No, she had to be. Where else could they be?
“Sunny, sweetie,” his voice cracked on the pet name. “Poppet?”
"I'm right here Pa."
He saw her as if through a very foggy window. "What do you... darling I..."
She disappeared from view. He suddenly wasn't sure if she had ever been there.
"Poppet?"
No response. They weren't there.
Tubbo cried himself back to sleep.

Two Different Worlds
CW: slightly depressing/unequal world? (I'll add more if asked)
Any giant, for whatever reason, can enter human cities. Be it a business negotiation or visiting family and friends, the city will welcome them all, for a price. With giant societies being the proprietors of nearly all the wealth in the frontier, humans are treated as faux second-class citizens. Not generating enough influence to really matter when a problem is presented, especially one where the sole cause is the giants themselves. For but a small cost, any of them can enter a human city, with free reign over everything we've built. Stomping their way through with little regard for the 'equal' citizens below, humans are forced to make way for them as the giant ooh's and aah's degradingly at the city miniaturized for their liking.
Every Human grows up with the constant, oppressive weight of being considered lesser, No, physically BEING lesser. Smaller, tiny, insignificant, a pest, a human. But to be presented with a person so fabulously wealthy, so physically above you and your peers, and all they do when they see your city is laugh...
It's like living in a separate world.

If Clancy actually died trying to win against Nico, I will fucking cry. Because that means he was starved of food/sleep for a year, almost drowned at sea, almost froze to death, found freedom and friendship… all to die right before he got his true freedom. It actually shows the sad reality of a person who has extreme mental conditions, how it seems like they’re finally getting better and getting on top of it, just to lose their fight. I also think about the Torchbearer, did he know that he was basically leading Clancy to his death. He cared about him to the point where they had a handshake (I count the handshake as canon) keep an eye on him to makes sure he stays alive, all of that to lead him to his death. “When our fingers touch I feel my way back home” even if it isn’t supposed to be romantic, even if it’s strictly platonic, they have a special bond, one that always has Clancy trusting the Torchbearer, and Torch always coming back for Clancy. All of that, just for him to die. Like you play support for someone who is sick, who’s fighting their battle, you give your all in helping them, just for them to give in when there was so much hope. Do I think that’s what’s being hinted at, not really but would I put it above Joseph… No I wouldn’t.
Anyway, if he does end up dying the AU possibilities will be amazing.
