Werewolf au where Price is the pack leader, Ghost and Gaz are also werewolves, and then there's Soap, who tried to tell everyone that he was just a human, which they believed until they noticed that his eyes reflect light just like theirs.

Turns out Soap thought it would be safer for him because he's a cat. He can change in a cat. Not like a werecat or anything, just a house cat. Average sized even. And cats are prey for dogs and wolves so he was scared.

Now he can't escape the puppy pile. He's convinced that when they're in wolf form they don't even realise that he's a complete different species and think he's just a pup, isn't sure to believe them when they swear they know because those licks on top of his head don't lie.

Ghost is being a responsible adult and grooming this poor weird pup he found, Price is being a thoughtful pack leader and is trying to inform Ghost that the puppy is not happy, and Gaz is trying to get the puppy to play with him to cheer him up.

This is the same Soap who will bring half of a mouse to Ghost's, Price's and Gaz's doors for them to discover in the morning. Or step on it if they weren't fully awake. And then refuses to admit to himself that it's probably him doing it and not a random stray cat. Even if he would have smelled a stray cat being on his territory. The three of them are convinced that Soap is hiding a cat somewhere because it smells like him.

Soap has been shot.

He's been shot and it's bad. Roach can't do anything but encourage him to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Soap's feeling around Graves had been trustworthy then.

Roach is having a hard time processing what happened, and he can only assume it's worse for those actually living through it.

He doesn't know where Ghost is, if he's okay, if he's alive. He can't go find him to make sure, since he has no idea where to look. He has to focus on Johnny, who's here, who's hurt. He has to do his best to keep him alive.

Soap really needs to tend to that wound, but he needs to find some supplies to do that, and somewhere safe. With the Shadows roaming the streets of Las Almas like a pack of murderous dogs, it's a bit harder than he'd like.

He sends another look to Johnny. He's stumbling, way too pale. He lost too much blood.

He risks a look further down. His shirt is soaked with blood. He wants to keep encouraging him, but his throat is too tight for the words to come out. The hole, slightly to the left side, in the middle of his chest, is haunting him.

Kind of ironic given he's the one supposed to do the haunting.

Honestly, he has no idea how Soap even managed to walk that long. He should be dead. Maybe he is, actually. Maybe his body is still lying back there under the Shadow's body, and it's only his ghost that's walking with him. That would explain a lot of things.

But not Simon's voice on the radio answering his call. That doesn't make sense. He has to be still alive then.

"There," he says, pointing at what appears to be a crafts shop. "There has to be sewing material and fabric to use as bandages."

"You want me to sew myself back together?" Soap croaks out, wheezing. Whether or not it touched the heart, the bullet definitely got his lung.

"You're losing too much blood, Johnny. You have no choice."

Soap tiredly nods his head, quietly heading to the store.

"I should be dead," he says simply as he's looking for supplies.

"Don't worry about that," Roach cuts him off. He really doesn't need to think about that. What if it's only adrenaline keeping him alive?

"Maybe it just hasn't caught up yet," Soap continues, ignoring him. "I feel tired."

"That's just the blood loss," Roach stresses out, still frantically looking for something to replace a chirurgical sewing needle.

"I think I'm in shock," Soap says. "I've been shot straight in the chest, and it doesn't feel any different than that time I got shot in the leg two years ago... I don't... I don't actually feel like I'm dying, you know what I mean?"

Roach looks at him. He still looks way too white, and slightly feverish, and exhausted, but his eyes are clear and he's still awake.

"I'm starting to think that whatever you 'feel' is always true, to be honest. You were right with Graves."

Soap sends a tired grin his way. "You think I have superpowers?"

"Mate, you can see ghosts, I was assuming you knew you had superpowers already."

By some miracle, and after an hour and a half of Simon and Johnny flirting on the comms, they're finally reunited and on their way to the safehouse. To say Simon is shocked when he sees the wound would be an understatement.

And somehow, Johnny is still standing. As if a bullet to the heart was barely more than a bullet to an extremity, as if there wasn't any vital organ beneath the skin there.

More werewolf au because I can :

Graves wasn't supposed to know about the werewolves, but Shepherd knew so maybe that's how he got the intel. As he's betraying them, he asks, almost begs, Soap to come with him, to join him against Alejandro and Ghost.

Alejandro because of the 'drug affiliation' thingy and his blatant dislike of Mexicans and Ghost because he's a monster. A beast, not even human. And he wants to protect Soap, believes him to be in danger, doesn't listen to Soap trying to de-escalate the situation, trying to ask him not to do that.

(Because he believes he knows what other people need more than them)

And Soap still has that very primal fear inside of him everytime he's around his the pack, that prey instinct that his predators are there, waiting for him to lower his guard. That's true, he does, he's even too scared to admit he's also not fully human.

But never, ever, has he considered betraying them, going against them in anyway. He wouldn't be a good cat if his fear of bigger predators wasn't overtaken by his very cocky very wrong feeling that he could take them all in a fight if he had to.

His cat-self was scared of their lycanthropic-selves, but he himself had never been scared of them as people. Well. Scared that they'd reject him, that they'd never consider him a member of the pack, yes. But scared that they'd hurt him? Not really.

Graves doesn't appreciate rejection, getting told no. He opens fire, Soap gets a bullet in his shoulder, Ghost begs him to get up and run.

He roams the streets with his head swimming from the blood loss, fighting against his instincts to just turn into a cat, curl up in a hole somewhere and lick his wounds, purring to himself to try and comfort the betrayed-hurt-helpless feeling in his gut.

But he can't, because he's not like the were-people, he's not a werecat, he doesn't heal faster. And his human biology makes surviving a bullet wound easier than the cat biology for some reason. (He tried, it just made him go in shock faster.) The hands keeping the blood from flowing freely definitely help for one. And what if Ghost contacts him and he can't respond and his LT thinks he's dead and leaves him here?

The Shadows are everywhere. The good thing is that his eyes see better in low light than theirs, than even the night vision helmets. His hearing is also better, though not as good as his cat-self's. That means he always knows where they are around him and he can avoid them.

When he's finally reunited with Ghost, the man keeps throwing him weird looks, but doesn't say anything. Soap can't really focus, he needs all his remaining blood doing actually important things and analysing your superior-officer-that-you've-been-lowkey-flirting-with's looks isn't one of these.

They reach Alejandro's safehouse, are reunited with Rudy, then Ghost sees him wobbling in place and drags him in the little medbay to see to his wounds. He gets stitches, incredibly thankful for Ghost's steady hands. As he finishes up though, his hands stay a bit longer on his shoulder, one of them climbs up to his ear and tugs it slightly, his eyes still staring.

Soap knows what he's doing, has seen Price lightly tug Gaz' and Ghost's (through the mask) ears, knows that it's a stand in for nipping them when they're in human form, as a way to say hello, or assert dominance or comfort them. Reserved for pack members.

Has... has he been accepted in the pack? His heart is beating faster, which isn't good with all the blood he's lost and the fact that the adrenaline is running out fast. His head is spinning. He looks up at Ghost with dilated eyes, trying to focus everything on him to try and understand before he passes out.

Ghost is looking straight at him, as usual, his head slowly tilting, his eyebrows furrowing in incomprehension. His peripherals are darkening more and more, darkness seeping in, and his eyes suddenly feel very hot while the rest of his body is getting cold and tingly.

Ghost's hand makes its way to the back of his neck, helping him hold his head up as his vision gets more and more blurry.

"What even are you?" Soap thinks he hears whispered as he finally loses consciousness.

Lmao yeah, one moment they're completely unmoving just staring into space and the next it's not even that they have the zoomies, it's that they are the zoomies...

I did a little something, it's not really good bc i did it quickly and it's just a sketch but anyway

Now I'm just picturing Dish clinging to Nikolai's face by his claws and Nik is just sitting there questioning his life choices and wondering if he could buy a few claw free visits with fresh fish.

Dish : A bribe??! You think you can bribe me???! 😡😡😡

5 minutes later : Dish happily munching on the fish, with Ghost fretting about the fishbones on the side, Gaz trying to reassure him that Dish is a wildcat and it's probably not the first fish he ate.

Nik, scratch free : Success!

Price : Why do you even have fish?

Nik : I always come prepared, you know you won't want for anything when I'm here.

Price :... Damn, I - ok, well - I mean...

Roach : Next time I'm in a coma, don't wake me up until they've stopped doing that and finally got a move on.

One time Ghost was baby talking to Dish, Roach filmed it and then showed it on the screen on the common area.

Ghost doesn't care about it, but the recruits tried to look anywhere but the screen, some tried to flee, but Gaz and Soap blocked their way.

When the video was done, Soap asked the recruits if they thought the Lt was cute?

The look in his eyes told them to say No, or should they say Yes....

They can't leave the room without answering the question. But the recruits don't know the right answer.

Eventually Ghost and Price walk by, and Price asks wtf their doing. Some recruits are silently crying

Roach: "Were training them how to survive interrogation" 😁

Soap: "We asked them a question, but they haven't answered the question yet, until then they can't leave" 🤷‍♀️

Gaz is giggling uncontrollably, because this is hilarious.

Price ends "the training" scolding them for traumatizing the recruits again, and what question did they asked them.

Roach starts the video, Soap: "Do you think the Lt is cute?"

Gaz falls over laughing, Ghost is blushing so much you can see it past his balaclava.

Price is wondering what he did to deserve this.

Soap :*Slams his hands on the table* LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES, PRIVATE! IS THE LT CUTE?!

The recruits : 😭😭😭😭😭

Roach, after they've been scolded by Price : the answer was yes, btw, he's a cutie patootie aaawww look at him he's all red 🥰

And Ghost afterwards like : I hate you

Roach & Soap : you might want to stop cuddling us to say that

Ghost : no.

thinkin about theories forming about how soap hates cats/cats hate soap bc:

1) you never see dish and soap in the same room

2) for some reason there was another cat on base and it was just hissing at soap the whole time (it could smell dish around the base and was trying to assert dominance)

3) like gaz said, soap has so much dog energy so he must like dogs over cats right?

Lmaooo the 2nd one, you know Soap just glared at the cat like it insulted him (it did), which only reinforced the idea that he must hate cats!

And the last one, sadly it was disproven one time when they were on a mission and they found a stray dog, so they took it back to Sergeant Soap bc they were pretty sure he likes dogs, but when he saw it he jumped and next thing they knew he was on top of a tree, yelling at them to go put it back where they found it. So now they probably think he just doesn't like animals at all...

And someone says that he probably likes birds bc he once saw him staring unblinkingly at some birds outside, but it was actually Soap zoning out and Dish half taking control and thankfully not able to do the chirps cats do when they see prey they can't catch

"Kate:..... It's Soap isn't it?....." 😂

I love it! Also Kate having a weakness for Dish, She already like Soap a lot and was a bit protective of the Sgt.

So now it's not just Roach protecting him, Kate is just as bad. And Dish knows it! He is always happy to see her, and loves cuddling with her, and she has THE BEST snacks.

Dish's fanclub just keeps on growing!

But she's also less likely to let him be a demon when he wants to and she just has to go "Conditioner Dishsoap MacTavish Jr!! I see you young man, stop it!" and it works!

I am perfectly normal about wanting cuddles from 3 very big werewolves and the cat-version of a human named Soap.

Because I am perfectly normal, perhaps some Roach bejng included in the dog pile?

Ghost probably isn't too keen on Roach being near his wolf in the beginning, given what happened last time. It ends up happening anyway, by accident.

They were on a mission, just the 141 by themselves, separated to conquer more space, when they hear Gaz howl, a long and painful thing, and they immediately rush over. Price and Ghost are transformed before they even reach the pup, Soap and Roach running behind.

Gaz is stuck down a hole, looks like the floor gave up, and he pitifully whines when he smells them above him. There's blood on his dark fur, from the nasty looking cut on his side. The hole is too deep for him to jump out of hurt like that. The only solution is to calm him down long enough for the fast healing to work.

Roach rappels down before anyone can hold him back and inspects the wound, making Gaz yelp in pain. It's pretty deep, might take more than a few minutes to heal, but definitely not bad enough to take the entire afternoon.

He clears some debris to make more space, and Price jumps down, nuzzling the top of Gaz's head reassuringly. Soap stands guard and they wait for Ghost to jump down as well, but he doesn't.

He stays at the top oh the hole, cowering guiltily, whining, eyes locked on Roach, who understands immediately. He climbs back up, raising appeasing hands towards the white wolf who quickly retreats, tail between his legs and ears flat.

"I'm alright, you big puppy, I'm alright, you didn't hurt - well you kinda did but it wasn't on purpose?"

"Not helping Bug," Soap says, sending them concerned looks.

"He doesn't understand me anyway, it's just to make him hear my voice. I'm alright baby, come here, come smell me, I'm fine."

Eventually, Ghost has hit the wall and can't retreat any further, and Roach reaches him. He softly grabs the sides of Ghost's head and gently scratches behind his ears, pushing his muzzle against his chest to force him to smell him. The wolf stays tense for a few more seconds before making a sorrowful whine and melting against Roach, licking his entire face with his tail starting to wag.

Roach brings him back to the hole and Ghost finally jumps down, cuddling against Gaz's back. It takes two hours before they're turning back into humans and the other two Sergeants help them climb out, Gaz almost good as new.

After that, Ghost's wolf whines everytime Roach isn't here, so Simon kinda has to get over himself, and the cuddling as a pack finally feels complete with Roach in the middle, squished between giant wolves and with a vibrating cat napping on his face. It's sometimes a bit suffocating, but Roach has never been happier and wouldn't trade his place with anyone. He might only be human, but that's his pack.

Dish lying in wait in the shadows... He's been at it for hours, but the recruits don't dare to try and stop him. So many ankles scratched, so many heart attacks received.

One tried and now is in medical for having received a large amount of scratches.

Price sighed and walked away when they complained about it. Roach and Gaz are away on a mission. The last person they can ask is....... Lt Ghost...

The recruits have been playing rock-paper-scissors to choose who asks the Lt, when they hear the man outside the common area.

"Dish! Ooooh good one. So how many recruits did you catch of guard?" There is silence then they hear a miauw, it sounded like a complaint.... "Hmmm that's not good, is it love? Guess we will have train them some more... Let's get you some of your favorite snacks, then you can rest." Another miauw.

When they see the Lt walk past with Dish on his shoulders one of the recruits sees him look into the room and smirk...

The recruits sigh, and give up. The next day Lt Ghost and Sgt Soap have some more training to teach them to keep them on their toes, since "evaluation" showed it's very easy to ambush them all

Lmaoooo this is awesome poor recruits 🤣🤣

Dish being a menace and Ghost seeing it like "we can use that" is so real, he's a practical king. And also it's fun to terrorise recruits and that's one of the only ways Price allows

Ghost going "thank you for your service" when Soap turns back human and he's just so confused

I just KNOW soap gave price so many heart attacks in the wolf au between Las Almas,getting nearly thrown out the window and then not responding and gaz coming down alone and then finding out Soap has nowhere to go. On top of the whole age thing. Soap is truly the problem kitten

Lmao all of Price's grey hair are Soap's fault, the man's like "I knew it would be a lot of work to lead a pack, but somehow I didn't know how much worrying one single tiny little cat could bring"

Price pointing at his task force "you see my sons? They're all broken inside and they're giving me nothing but endless worrying, but I love them so much"

Gaz : "what do you mean, 'all', I'm fine!"

Price : "yeah, but you're a son for rent, you have a loving family, these three fuckers? They were in a card box on the side of the road, they're full time sons"

concept. cat soap except instead of full cat he gets stuck with cat ears and a tail. roach fucking loves it.

Lmao Soap staying locked up in his room because it's not like he wants everyone on base to know he's a cat, and Ghost and Roach playing rock paper scissors to know which one has to leave to tell Price that Soap is ""sick"" and they just smother him with love

And Gaz comes running so fast when Ghost (of course he's the one who lost) tells them and he just laughs at Soap until the cat instinct of not handling mockery at all comes in and he lunges at Gaz, and then they're both play fighting on the ground while Roach films them to embarrass them later.

And then Ghost and Price arrive like old people complaining about the young ones running around and about how if they had that much energy it probably meant they weren't training right (they're taking the piss because Gaz and Soap told them they're old and they went "oh yeah? You want us to be old? We're gonna be fucking boomers then")

And then it's just cuddle time for the whole day, which seems great but has a huge downside : Dish is completely rested and full of energy when the sun sets and so when Soap transforms, he's even more of a demon than usual (but he's always a sweet angel with Roach)
