i don't understand the wewh quest at all. you almost complete all the side quests but then all of a sudden, a wrong door and the quest is over and cullen is asking you what we should do

content from The Masked Empire is not "missing" from Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, because 85% of the book is interpersonal drama the Inquisitor would have no reason to know OR care about in the context of the quest, and the only 15% that IS relevant IS explained adequately in the context of the quest

Solas ofc has opinions on WEWH. Luckily, he doesn't offer advice because he and Varric are hammered.

Celene/Gaspard rules alone - no approval changes. If the goal was a ‘stable’ Orlais while Corypheus is a threat, fine.

Celene and Briala rule together - approves of Briala being exonerated. It accomplishes the 'stability' Orlais needs while Corypheus is a threat, and the elves are in no worse position than when the party started at least (not that he cares of course).

Public truce - approves if they’re all held accountable for the mess they made.

Briala rules through Gaspard - approves. It's the sort of thing he'd have loved in Elvhenan. Can it last long term? No. But he also doesn’t plan on the world lasting long term so it works for him.

Currently in despair because Lindiranae deserves a special festive hairstyle for WEWH to make Solas white knuckle it through the entire ball from the moment he sees her descend her room (smug, knowing Leliana and Josie in tow). And I even found one that would be really fitting and pretty AND still maintain her shaved sides. But I can't find any way to edit it onto her ☹😭

Black Emporium is a no bc it messes up the colours of her hair and vallaslin and her eyebrow placement. Savefile editor doesn't edit hair slots. DAI Mod Maker doesn't work anymore so I can't unpack and repackage the mesh into a new mod that uses her current slot.

this might be a hot take but the funny thing abt people favouring gaspard rather than celene because of her toxic/unhealthy relationship with briala is like. gaspard will kill briala. there's absolutely no way he's letting an elf blackmail him. on the other hand, if briala and celene get back together (this one is an optional outcome anyways), it's bad. we all know it's bad and toxic and unhealthy. whatever! but briala can take care of herself. she's a grown ass woman who outsmarted both celene and gaspard in the masked empire. celene constantly underestimates her which is her nature as a white woman with immense political power, and briala uses that to her advantage. felassan literally compared her to solas.
