eleven is fascinating to me because he came right off the back of tens horrible traumatic breakdown after he lost everything and he immediately tried to establish himself as the opposite of that. he is funny and goofy and almost childlike, and he bulldozes on in his adventures with amy like nothing happened at all. but then something happens and his masks slips and it's like oh! the core of this man is still anger. he is so so angry all of the time and this façade is the only thing stopping him from being consumed by it. he isn't over any of it and he hasn't moved on. he is wearing a fez and laughing but under that all that exists is age old anger and grief and it is going to consume him

[Amy's smile shifts, softening as she drops her gaze to their entwined hands. She chews her lip in silence. Shadow can't help but watch. On the roof above, the rest of the party has found its way outside and is getting ready. There's chatter, and laughter, but in this moment, it feels as though it could have been leagues away.] [Amy takes a deep breath, then looks back up to meet Shadow's gaze.] Amy: Can I kiss you now? [Shadow stiffens. Their eyes dart from the dark sky back to Amy's face. Amy can't help but giggle.] Amy: I know it's not midnight yet, but... [She moves forward, slowly, giving Shadow an out, but they don't take it. They stand there and shiver as her thumbs brush along the backs of their knuckles and her breath tickles their face. [Shadow's eyes are wide, glowing in the dark. Being this close, they are all Amy can see.] Shadow: ...Yes. [Trepidatiously, Shadow leans in, and Amy follows suit, closing her eyes.] [It's not a great kiss, by all technicality. Few would even call it good. Noses bump, lips still randomly in trembling confused panic, and neither party knows what to do about the fact that the other's teeth exist.]

[Yet by the same token, that is what makes it absolutely wonderful.] [Their friends on the floor above begin to count down, and Amy is just aware of it enough to open her eyes and find Shadow never shut theirs.] [Amy can't help but laugh, and Shadow's face cracks into a smile at the joy.] [The fireworks go off. Their friends start screaming. All across the city there is cheering and singing and crying. Meanwhile, without a word spoken between them, they lean in and try again, slowly getting accustomed to the two of them, now, together.]

i dont know what would be worse if amy is never in the sonic movies at all or if they do introduce her in the next one but shes pushed to the side and doesnt get the amount of focus she should be getting considering shes a main character and this is her introductory movie because theres too much other stuff going on with shadow and/or they just completely butcher her character

Like, there’s a lot of times where I’ll go, fine, Dean’s being morally ambiguous and he thinks he’s making the right call, sure, sure. This was not one of those times.

(Secret good spn in my head where this and the Benny situation combine in Sam’s mind in such a way that once Jack comes around, that why he becomes so invested in Dean seeing Jack as family. Because he knows that if he doesn’t? If all he can offer is that he would spare Jack, that he thinks Jack isn’t a monster? Dean has disregarded that before. But if Dean can come to that conclusion on his own, strip the title of monster away because he’s become personally invested, that might protect Jack.)

I've been thinking about this scene again for reasons. And aside from the fact that Angel (yes, this is Angel for those who don't know) is obviously furious with Amy for telling him Buffy's died here (she hasn't). I wonder if Amy saying Buffy drowned makes it even worse, because that's how Buffy died the first time. And Angel doesn't even fathom that, or believe that he would lose her that way another time.

it's kinda funny that some people seem to think eggman has a soft spot for kids or something because of his relationship with sage like have you guys not seen the way he interacts with 90 percent of the other characters in this franchise . hes constantly fighting with teenagers and little kids and putting them in danger he does NOTTTT care lmao
