Why isn’t tumblr giving me notifications of people reblogging and tagging my posts, this is upsetting :( I love seeing people’s reblogs and tags, I’m so bummed, what have I missed??? :(

Okay, so since all of my tags basically fucking disappeared, if you want a custom mutual tag, please let me know! I'm thinking of doing it how @seonghwacore does it with her asks or @hyperbolicgrinch does it where they have their mutuals name/nickname and a emoji so if you want a specific emoji, PLEASE let me know!

For all of my anons, your tag is still going to be the same "anon edition" or i can use the tag "anon 🕶️" but you can't really see the sunglasses emoji on dark mode (unless y'all don't really care?)

I can already tell you know that my purple heart anon will have the purple heart emoji so if you wanted that particular emoji, sorry!

Also, do we like the emoji before or after the mutual name? Because for some, like my specific anons "purple heart anon" and "ghost anon" their emojis would go before their name...but what do y'all think?

A reblog I made on a post got deleted. (Edit: it didn't get deleted but Tumblr refuses to let me see it. Awareness still needs to be spread.) This post was of two people talking about how Tumblr was transphobic.

The first blog got deleted, and that's when the second blog came in.

And then that blog also got deleted.

If Tumblr is going to go that route, word needs to be spread.

@staff, it is seriously time to stop putting animated graphics in the bottom corner of the site every time you want me to know something, unless you give me a way TO MAKE THEM GO AWAY AFTER I'VE CLICKED ON THEM, or at least LET ME TURN THE ANIMATION OFF.

At least have the common decency to code them in a way that I don't have to add them to my ad blocking software's element picker TEN TIMES before they finally go away FOREVER.

And stop adding a tooltip to the post to convince me to use tags WHEN I'VE BEEN USING TAGS FOR LONGER THAN YOUR CURRENT OWNER HAS BEEN RUNNING THE SITE! I've used tags a hundred times since you added the tooltip! MAKE IT GO AWAY AFTER THE ACCOUNT HAS ENGAGED WITH IT. Stop treating everyone like they've only been on the site for a week!

According to 404’s report, Automattic plans to launch a new setting Wednesday that will “allow users to opt-out of data sharing with third parties, including AI companies.” But it cites internal posts that suggest the company scraped an “initial data dump” containing “all Tumblr’s public post content between 2014 and 2023,” including — apparently by mistake — content that wouldn’t be publicly visible on blogs. It’s unclear what was done with this data and what data (if any) has been sent to Midjourney and OpenAI.

So, allegedly, it seems like content that wasn't public on blogs was shared to AI companies. If this is true, and we don't know if this is true, but if it is, that means that scheduled and private posts might have been shared without permission. For the next while, I guess, I'll stop posting my art here until I know what the actual hell is going on with this website. I'll keep updating about this whole mess, but I will refuse to upload images to this blog.
