All propaganda was send in to me and is being kept in my inbox as a resource. All propaganda is shared by me, but not my own opinion.
Propaganda for Sterek (Stiles and Derek)
say what you want but im still not over the psychic damage of that mtv ad for teen wolf where they put stiles's actor in derek's actor's lap and had them cuddle and shit for votes. please if u have any mercy they will make it to the finals.
They baited us into voting for the MTV choise awards by having the actors literally cuddle on a boat! (Stiles' actor said "we are on a ship")! They promised us if we won, we would get more of the two actors "taking naps together"! Heavily baiting canon sterek if we vote!! AND WE DID!!! And nothing happened. I hate Jeff Davis so much JUST LOOK AT THIS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyV5QziOvYw
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ik you're trying to run things without too much bias, but I think it's really a tragedy that we're gonna have to choose for slot 5. sterek because it was genuinely wild and is somewhat buried tumblr history (tumblr learned queerbait from sterek, destiel, johnlock, and merthur, you know?), and that tartorte one bc someone's propaganda really blew me out of the water. like, holy moly. I just want other people to know about it now lol

When Marnie Was There..
Tumblr media
"When Marnie was there.." is an animated film released by Studio Ghibli in 2014. A commercial hit amongst the Studio Ghibli fans and avid Anime fans alike, the movie explores the emotions and adventures of a teenager named, Anna (and many other like her).
Anna, a middle school foster child suffering from asthma and low-self esteem, describes the world around as if it is split into two halves, to which she elaborates as the ones on the "inside" of the half as the ones who are welcomed , extroverted, cheerful and far away from the clasps of solitude. The other half, in the words of Anna, share a similar nature like her, shy, introverted and perhaps, complex to be understood by everyone.
Tumblr media
Understanding the moody and silent attitude of Anna, her foster guardian decided upon her to send to her relatives, who live on the country side of Oiwa, to which the doctor suggests as a great suggestion as it could help strengthen her lungs and help her move ahead in her battle with asthma. Anna, on the other hand accepts the recommendation by the adults as she is, perhaps too indulged in her own thought process to give any suggestion of her own.
Upon reaching Oiwa, she is welcomed with warm smiles of the relatives namely, Setsu and Kiyomasa, who are over the sky to have someone to pamper like their own daughter.
Tumblr media
The protagonist does not show signs of interest at the relatives house and rather is laid back about the changes happening around her.
Soon after her arrival, namely, the Marsh House peaks her interest and one day decides to have a little adventure of her own to explore the mansion abandoned at the end of the marsh.
Tumblr media
Now, it was as if the planets had aligned and Anna knew all the answers to the mysteries the Universe has to offer, she felt drawn to the house at marsh. And she could've sworn that the blond girl named Marnie at the Marsh house was more than the figment of imagination she saw on the day of the Tanabata festival.
Tumblr media
Soon after, she and Marnie become best friends, almost as if they know each other in a few lifetimes of their own. They planned picnics together under bright shining light of the moon. Told each other secrets about their lives, which somehow too different to be shared as one.
Tumblr media
Anna, now familiar with Marnie, was now sketching her in her drawing pads, perhaps with the motive to grasp the gist of what she was confronting every night.
Tumblr media
During one night of her encounters with Marnie, she meets the boy named Kazuhiko, who is later revealed to be the partner of Marnie.
Amongst all these encounters she meets up with a fellow painter obsessed with the Marsh House, Hisako and the daughter of the family that has recently shifted into the Marsh House.
On one rainy night, Sayako finds Anna unconscious in the nearby forest and immediately takes her for care to her relatives, whom she was staying with.
Anna fever does not seem to be coming down, however, in her dreams, she is sharing the harsh reality that young Marnie had to face in her childhood.
Tumblr media
Upon the epiphany from the dream, Anna wakes up with a statement, as if questioning if all the amazing nights she shared with Marnie were merely a dream like this one.
In order to find about the truth about Marnie and her family, Anna and Sayako turn to Hisako, who in return presents them with a picture over which Marnie is written and shares the story of Marnie with the young girls, which explains that Marnie's childhood was full of neglect and abandonment, she had to turn to her maids and nannies to cope up with affection she lacked from her parents side.
And on one stormy night, Marnie is taken up to the silo, where she is abandoned by the maids as they ran away from the silo in order to take shelter from the thunderstorm.
Tumblr media
Kazuhiko comes and saves Marnie from what seemed like an endless nightmare. They later on get married and have a child named, Emily. Kazuhiko took ill soon after and passed away, leaving Marnie with the responsibilities to fulfill as the parent of Emily.
Upon the dawn that Marnie will not be able to cope up with loss of her husband and provide Emily with care she deserves, Emily is sent to a boarding school, despite the resent Emily showed in her teen years to her mother, Marnie was willing to patch up the differences between her and her daughter, who now is married and is expecting.
It is to the life full of trauma for Marnie that she realizes that her daughter and husband are now no more in this world as they were involved in a road accident. In order to fulfill the mistakes she might have performed in her life, Marnie takes upon the care of the young child with blue eyes.
Tumblr media
Studio Ghibli outperforms itself with every succeeding release of film. This movie is recommended for audience of ages 12 and up. Perfect movie for that girls' night or a Studio Ghibli night to be enjoyed with popcorn and some hearty meals.

after watching when marnie was there
me: damn so it was her grandma huh 💔
also me, but in tears: erm actually 🤓☝️ it’s about this lonely child discovering that she has always been loved in a way that’s so strong that it transcends past & present. the lightness and the relief that comes from seeing yourself in someone else. you may be outside of the circle but it doesn’t mean you can’t make your own. one u can invite others in too.

I just read the "When Marnie Was There" Book and holy shit let me tell you, the book is better. I did like the movie but like almost everyone else i hated that ending. It did not make sense there was not even the slightest foreshadowing but the book does it better, To me the ending in the movie felt so out of nowhere it felt like a whole jumpscare but in the book you can very much tell it was foreshadowed a couple of times especially in the "Mushrooms and Secrets" chapter. It made sense and the way they handled the reveal was also better, the charachter depths too. I am obsessed with the book. Even though this post won't get alot of views i might make a post about the Movie vs The Book.

Quote
She knew perfectly well that things like parties and best friends and going to tea with people were fine for everyone else, because everyone else was "inside"--inside some sort of invisible magic circle. But Anna herself was outside. And so these things had nothing to do with her. It was as simple as that.
