(hello i come with a little dsmp christmas oneshot, enjoy)
“tommy!! wake up!!”
the raspy whisper coming from ghostbur caused tommy to slowly open his eyes, only half awake from his slumber. the first thing he noticed other than the obvious ghostbur standing over him was how cold his room had gotten overnight, despite the fire from the torches.
“ghostbur,” he spoke in a groggy tone, “what are you doing here? what time is it?”
“it’s about dawn - and i wanted to spend the holiday with my brothers, of course!” ghostburs tone was cheery as usual as he stared down at tommy.
“the holiday?” tommy sat up, even more confused as he rubbed his eyes awake.
“tommy, have you forgotten? i’ve reminded you everyday for the past week, it’s christmas! i even got you a gift!” tommy sat with no reaction as ghostbur held out some blue for his brother.
“sorry i didn’t get you anything, ghostbur. i forgot,” tommy lied. he hadn’t forgotten - he wanted to, though. it was the first christmas he’d be spending without his whole family and his best friend (which is not a a reality any teenager would want). he figured there was no point in celebrating christmas, at least for this year.
“that’s alright - it’s not the gifts that matter most, what matters most is that we get to spend christmas together! techno, you, and i! just like the old days!!” ghostburs tone was always one that lifted spirits, and today would be no exception. and although tommy still felt uneasy about the day, he climbed his latter with a little more pep in his step.
tommy noticed the sun was still coming up when he reached ground level, but the lack of natural light didn’t stop his vision from seeing white flurries flying about. sure, it was always snowy, but he’d never actual seen it snowing out in the arctic. that explains why his room was so cold, and just at the thought of his room and the snowflakes falling outside - he started to shiver. arms shaking, teeth chattering, clutching tightly onto the blue that ghostbur had just given him.
ghostbur then gasped. “i’d almost forgotten!” he quickly pushed open the door and ran out of the house and was back in a few seconds, holding a small wrapped box. tommy stared at it with confusion as ghostbur extended it towards him. “go on, take it! it’s for you! i give you blue all the time, so i got you something else as well!”
tommy felt a tinge of guilt as he took yet another gift from ghostbur, he’d have to think of something to give to him by the end of the day. he held his breath as he opened the box, expecting more blue despite the specters words.
“it matches your hair, and the walls of your room!” ghostbur spoke, as tommy pulled out a yellow bandana. it was soft and clean, unlike the green one he wore around his neck. “i also added some yellow patches and thread if you wanted to fix up the green one!”
tommy looked up, wide eyed, not knowing what to say. he stammered a bit, his arms open - ghostbur took this as an opportunity to hug his brother. tommy flinched, hesitant at first - not only was ghostbur ice cold to the touch, he just wasn’t used to human touch anymore - but eventually, he hugged back. he closed his eyes and rested his head on ghostburs shoulder, it almost felt like when they were kids. he managed to mumble a simple ‘thank you.’
tommy flinched only slightly when he heard the latter behind him creek, turning only a little as not to let go of ghostbur. “techno! merry christmas!!”
ghostbur pulled away from tommy, going back outside to retrieve something - at least that was tommy’s guess. he turned and saw techno at one of his chests, pulling out a few wrapped boxes of his own.
‘please let those all be for ghostbur and phil,’ tommy thought, feeling guilt build up inside him yet again.
ghostbur came back and slammed the door shut behind him, another box in hand - much smaller than the one he gave to tommy. it was wrapped in blue, with a pink bow (not christmasy, but very much techno).
techno saw ghostbur and ended up only pulling one box from the chest, wrapped in yellow. the twins quickly exchanged their gifts, ghostbur waiting while techno opened his gift.
“it matches your new everything!” inside the small box was a dangly earring with a snowflake at the end. techno smiled in content as he put it on, now waiting for ghostbur to open his gift.
ghostburs smile widened as he made a squeak of joy, pulling out a small blue sheep plushie. “friend!” techno let out a chuckle as he walked back to the chest, grabbing two larger boxes - one wrapping in green and the other wrapped in red - and walking to tommy, who’s guilt had only built up as techno got closer.
“phil would’ve wanted to give this to you himself, but...” techno paused for only a moment, “he’s obviously not here. he’d want you to have it, anyways.” and with that, techno handed tommy the box wrapped in green.
tommy hesitantly grabbed the box, carefully unwrapping it as if he were on the lookout for some sort of prank or sick joke. he opened the box, revealing the contents inside to be a blue mantle and boots - similar to the ones both techno and phil donned.
“he had a hunch you’d be here at some point,” techno said, as tommy stared in awe at the contents. “you’re also have nothin’ to keep you warm out here, so that’s that. and if for some reason you don’t like the blue,” techno then handed tommy the red box, “there’s this - this ones from me.”
tommy was less hesitant now as he grabbed the red box, unwrapping and opening it to reveal technos red mantle.
tommy felt overwhelmed as he looked techno in the eyes. “techno, you didn’t-“
“i don’t need it anymore. and i’d rather give it to someone who might use it than to just let it collect dust or throw it away. besides that point, gettin’ frostbite or hypothermia isn’t ideal at the moment - look at you, you’re shiverin’ right now,” techno said, as he grabbed the blue mantle and quickly wrapped it around tommy.
now overwhelmed with the weight of the mantle on his shoulders, tommy looked at techno with guilt in his eyes. “i didn’t even get you anything.”
“so what? i don’t care,” techno said, quite nonchalantly. “just don’t take my gapples and we can call this even.”
the guilt left tommy’s eyes, and he began to chuckle. the chuckle turned into a giggle, and the giggle turned to a hardy laugh mixed with choked sobs - he grasped tightly onto all of his gifts, and mentally he held onto the feeling he felt right then and there, happiness. pure, unfiltered, and utter happiness.
“h-here i was, thinking that this year just wouldn’t be the same - and t-truth be told, it i-isn’t - but,” tommy let out another laughing sob, “i thought it’d be way worse.”
“why’s that?” techno asked.
“well, for s-starters - wilbur is a ghost. then i lost my best friend, something happened with d-dream, and now p-phil’s stuck in l’manberg. on an o-outside perspective, that sounds p-pretty shit t-to me.”
tommy let out a squeak as he received his second hug of the day - this time from techno. he didn’t move and inch, his eyes wide, his crying coming to a halt.
“none of that matters right now. we’re gonna get things back to how they were, we’ve discussed this. but it’s christmas - don’t worry so much. today is the only day i can say with full confidence that nothing bad will happen, nothing will go wrong.” techno said, his voice stern yet still comforting to his younger brother. and after a moment, tommy clung to him - sobbing and wailing. he hadn’t had a proper cry like this since... since... he can’t even remember.
for a while, tommy and techno just stayed like that, and tommy realized that this was the first time techno had ever really hugged him - despite being brothers. but it was nice, his embrace was similar to that of their fathers. and after another while, ghostbur joined in.
and so the brothers sat, hugging on christmas day.

Carabao Cup - Man Utd 1-3 Man City: Holders overwhelm rivals in semi-final first leg

Carabao Cup - Man Utd 1-3 Man City: Holders overwhelm rivals in semi-final first leg
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bernardo Silva is the first Manchester City player to score in consecutive appearances against Manchester United at Old Trafford since Sergio Aguero between 2011-2015 (three games)
Holders Manchester City will take a commanding lead into the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final after outclassing neighbours Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford’s late reply will give United hope they can still turn this tie around in the return on Wednesday, 29 January, but it should not deflect from City’s overwhelming superiority for the vast majority of the game.
Pep Guardiola’s side stunned the home fans with three first-half goals, and in truth they could have had many more before the break, such was the gulf between the two sides.
City, who left Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus on the bench, started with a strikerless 4-4-2 system that saw Bernardo Silva and Kevin de Bruyne their furthest players forward.
It was Bernardo who broke the deadlock, with a superb strike from the edge of the box that arrowed into the top corner of the net.
Riyad Mahrez made it 2-0 when he ran on to Bernardo’s pass and rounded David de Gea, with the home side hopelessly exposed.
Reaction to the action at Old Trafford
Player Rater – who was your man of the match?
Leicester v Aston Villa: Rodgers wants to ‘create new history’
By now, United were chasing shadows and it was soon 3-0, as a swift breakaway ended with De Bruyne twisting Phil Jones inside out before seeing his shot saved by De Gea but ricochet in off Andreas Pereira.
United’s limp resistance and lack of threat saw them booed off by some supporters at the break but they at least showed some resolve when they emerged for the second half.
City seemed content with their advantage, and United at last began to enjoy time on the ball, although they did not force Claudio Bravo into any meaningful action before Rashford’s goal.
That came when the visitors, for once, gave the ball away cheaply and Mason Greenwood fed the England striker to run through and score.
United never threatened to deny City a famous victory however, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are left with a huge task if they are to stop them reaching their third successive final, and their fourth in the past five years.
City’s invention and improvisation shine through
Riyad Mahrez has started 19 games in all competitions for Manchester City in 2019-20 – in those games he has been directly involved in 15 goals (six goals and nine assists)
City were torn apart in the opening stages when these two sides met at the Etihad in the Premier League last month, but this time it was United who were left reeling early on.
Guardiola’s line-up left many observers scratching their heads before kick-off but his system, a fluid 4-4-2 that saw De Bruyne, Bernardo, Mahrez and Raheem Sterling change position at will, worked like a dream.
In December, City had no answer United’s raw speed but here it was the invention and improvisation of the visitors’ attack that did the damage, time and time again.
City have made a habit of winning at Old Trafford in recent years but their sparkling first-half performance was impressive, even by their high standards.
Only 3,000 away fans were there to witness it in person, in a tiny pocket of the ground, because of a reduced ticket allocation after incidents in recent derby matches.
But for the supporters who got a ticket, this was a night they will never forget. They loudly revelled in United’s misery and their own side’s success before giving their players a standing ovation at the final whistle.
A reminder of United’s shortcomings
Manchester United conceded three first-half goals in a game at Old Trafford for the first time since May 1997 against Middlesbrough – a game which featured Solskjaer
While City’s fans celebrated pretty much throughout, United’s supporters endured a very different evening with all of their side’s shortcomings in evidence.
When United tried playing out from the back, they were not capable of passing through City, and repeatedly surrendered possession.
And while the home fans urged their side to press City, they were not able to get near them for much of the match.
It meant they were unable to lay a finger on the visitors until the hour mark, when they finally managed their first sustained spell of pressure.
Rashford’s goal aside, there were not many positives for Solskjaer to take away from this encounter but at least his side did not crumble completely, which looked likely at one stage, and finished the game showing some degree of fight.
Solskjaer’s side are, somehow, still alive in the tie but this game should be seen as a reminder of how urgently United need reinforcements this month, even if they are more expensive than the club’s owners would like.
Man of the match – Bernardo Silva (Man City)
The Portuguese schemer was basically given a free role and left to use his own intelligence in the final third of the pitch, and he did so to devastating effect
‘United can come back’ – reaction
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola on BBC Radio Five Live:“The last game against United [a 2-1 loss in December] we could not control when we lost the ball, and tonight we did it better.
“We lost the ball in a position which is so dangerous [for the United goal]. We cannot forget which team we play. Tonight we can be more than satisfied to come here to Old Trafford and win.
“It is not over. We have one more game and we’ll see what happens.
“Of course Manchester United can come back. Last year here they lost to Paris St-Germain [in the Champions League] and qualified. They have the shirt which means history and pride.”
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer:“From their first goal, and especially the second, we struggled to get to grips with them. A good reaction second half, but first half until they scored it is was back and forth. We didn’t cope with the setback well enough.
“We didn’t deal with their system well enough, we know they can play that way. They played that way last season and beat Chelsea 5-0.
“First goal there is nothing we can do, second is sloppy and the third we just didn’t recover.
“With Matic and his experience [coming on in the second half] he had more presence. It was more about wanting the ball and believing, passing the ball. Someone needed to take responsibility. We’ve shown before we have been down from a home tie and turned it around. PSG is the latest example and we have to believe that we can put on a performance.
“It was a decision late on who was fit, it was no excuse. We have the players we have. We put a team out believing we could get a result.”
Odds against United comeback – stats
United suffered their first home defeat since losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace in August 2019 and conceded three times at Old Trafford for the first time since losing 3-0 to Spurs in August 2018.
City have won seven of their last 10 away matches against Manchester United (D1 L2) in all competitions, as many as in their previous 42 visits to Old Trafford.
The past 15 teams to win away from home in the first leg of a League Cup semi-final have all progressed to the final, with Spurs the last side to fail to do so, against Arsenal in 1986-87.
Bernardo Silva became the first Manchester City player since Sergio Aguero (three in a row between 2011 and 2015) to score in consecutive away games against United in all competitions.
City have scored 44 goals in the first half of matches this season in all competitions – eight more than any other Premier League side, and only five fewer than United have scored in total (49).
Only Raheem Sterling (20) has scored more goals among English players in all competitions than United’s Rashford (17) this season.
This was United’s first home League Cup defeat against a fellow Premier League side since January 2005 against Chelsea, having won 16 consecutive games of this type before this 3-1 defeat.
City are responsible for four of United’s last 12 defeats at Old Trafford.
What’s next?
Leicester host Aston Villa in the first leg of the second semi-final on Wednesday (20:00 GMT).
United and City return to Premier League action this weekend. United host Norwich on Saturday (15:00), while City travel to Aston Villa on Sunday (16:30).

Private show
Hello, Love bugs.
Phil X Reader
Warning- smut.
@leinajanson Won the second place in my 2000 follower contest so she won any request she wanted. So here is her request. Also, I am the fucking worst as this was meant to be done so long ago! I am so sorry.
Hey, could you please do a fic a bit based around 'Private Show' by Little Mix???
Then it seemed like the perfect time to mix in two other requests.
Ello m8! Ik you have like a shit load of stories to write and this can be like a short story you can do this like last or not lmao it's fine. So like the Reader is wearing a cute short dress and dressed up all "slutty" for Phil (or Dan) and give them a lap dance and then the reader gets punished or something like that idk.-Anon
May you please do one where the reader likes wearing short shorts around the house and Dan and Phil think they're teasing them? Smut at the end maybe? Thnx x x-Anon
Shopping is wonderful. Especially when you find that new clothing item you know will be your new favourite. Today was a pair of shorts. The weather was finally cooperating so it was appropriate to wear them and strut around the house in a mini celebration of good weather. You had made your way to the lounge to find Phil sitting on the couch playing on his phone. He had asked if you wanted to do something outside as to not waste away. You agreed but decided that there was no way you were going out in your yoga pants and a baggy shirt. You cleared your throat making Phil look up from his phone to see you leaning against the door frame giving him a cheeky smile.
Like my new look? I got them the other day just waiting for the weather to smarten up.”  You walked over to Phil on the couch before sitting him on his lap. You were feeling sassy and confident and you wanted to share it with Phil.
“These look amazing on you. Your legs look really good. Not that they don't always look good but these make me just want to run my fingertips along your skin.” As Phil spoke he did exactly what he just said letting his fingertips run up and down your leg leaving goose bumps in its path.
“Well thank you, but this is not us going out for some ice cream or shopping.” You said attempting to get up from Phil’s lap. Unfortunately, Phil wasn't about to let you get up.” Philly. Please. I want to enjoy the weather while we can. Can we cuddle later?” Phil gave a sigh as he let you finally get up from his lap.
“I suppose we can go and get some fresh air.” You gave Phil a smile as you stuck your hand out to make Phil Get up from the couch.
After Phil and yourself finally left the two of you had a really good afternoon. Between ice cream and window shopping in the nice weather, the day ended up being pretty special. The entire time, however, Phil couldn't seem to keep his hands off of you. Between holding your hand or keeping his hand around your waist Phil was never further than an arm’s length away. Usually, Phil isn't much of a PDA kinda guy but today seemed to be different. At one point you had to ask him if he was feeling ok. Phil gave you a smile giving you the look as is if he had no idea what you were talking about. He was such a cheeky little shit giving you a bit of a naughty idea.
Getting home Phil went to go and reply to an email he had received while the two of you were out. You decided to go to the bedroom and put some of the things you purchased away. Well, that's what you told Phil. In reality, you were searching through the drawers to find a pretty bra that had some sort of matching underwear to it. Once you found what you were looking for you undressed then quickly redressed. The irony definitely wasn't lost on you that you were planning to strip these clothes off minutes from now. You gave one more check in the mirror before heading back into the lounge with a little more pep in your step. Phil hadn't noticed your presence so you decided to clear your throat to try and get his attention. This seemed to work as Phil looked up from his computer to see you standing in the doorway with your raised eyebrows giving him a sneaky little smirk.
“Hello, Philip.” Phil watched as you rounded the coffee table before standing in front of him.
“Hello, Y/N. What is new with you?” As Phil closed his laptop screen you made your way to sit on his lap wrapping your hands behind his neck making him closer to you.
“I have just been feeling extra confident today.” Phil's hands ran their way along your thighs letting his fingertips linger a bit longer and slower than usual.
“I like the extra confidence on you. It's definitely doing something for me.” As Phil's hands travelled up to your hips you pressed a kiss to his lips enjoying how instantly Phil was returning the kiss pulling you at the hips to rock against his lap. Pulling away from Phil you gave a little giggle as his hands found their way up the back of your shirt to undo your bra. That was before you remembered what you did moments ago.
“Wait, Philly.” You said pushing at his chest. “I want to do a little something for you.” Phil let go of you to let you get up from your spot. You gave a little spin before you took your top off to reveal the cute bra you had just put on.
“Wait, a second,” Phil said searching for his phone somewhere on the couch. he quickly scrolled through his phone before finding what he wanted. Private show by Little Mix. The song made you smile as you started to shake your hips to the beat. It was fun being a little naughty while having all of the attention on you. You continued shedding your clothing making sure to take your time and to do all the cheesy stripping bits. This includes tossing the articles at Phil to make a point of being spontaneous. Soon you were down to only being in your underwear. Phil had watched the entire time with bug eyes. Especially when you moved to him on the couch getting on your knees in front of him. As you leaned in you could see Phil’s hardening member pushing against his jeans begging to have some pressure relieved.
You looked up at Phil from your spot on the floor making sure to bat your eyelashes with a slightly larger amount of dramatics than usual. “Would you like me to help you with this?” Phil nodded as he gathered your hair in his hands to pull it out of your face.
“Please love.” That was all it took for you to undo Phil’s pants and helping him shimmy them lowers to his thighs as you let his hard cock spring free hitting against his tummy. You reached for his member giving it long slow strokes. Phil let out a loan moan letting you know you happen to be doing something right. You continued stroking his cock as you sat straighter on your knees to lean over his lap easier. You ran your tongue along the ridge of Phil making sure to give extra care to his slit. Sucking and licking at his tip you loved to tease him going slowly and carefully with every stroke. Phil was becoming impatient with the teasing. Making little whimpers of need he gave a tug at your hair hoping you would get the message.
“Something you want to say, Philly?” You said with a smile from ear to ear.Phil nodded trying to regather your hair in his hands again.
“Please. I can't take the teasing.” You decided Phil had been tortured enough Taking as much as you possibly could into your mouth running your tongue along his length. You find a steady rhythm bobbing your head up and down. It doesn't take long before your rhythm help Phil find something of his own. The ache in his balls was becoming something he could no longer try and put in the back of his mind. His orgasm was just over the edge. Letting you know he was close you decided you really were in a mood as it was fun to play with Phil but you didn't want to feel left out. Popping his head out of your mouth you looked up at Phil’s pained expression as you gave him a wicked grin.
“Fuck me? Please?” Phil nodded taking a few deep breaths before he put out his hand inviting you to crawl onto his lap. You took it leaning your weight against his lap. Phil took your cheek in his hand as he pulled you in for a kiss making sure to let you know exactly how much lust and pure desire he had for you all in one kiss. You kissed back pushing him against the couch making him more comfortable as you reached under you to move your panties to the side. You took Phil in your hand as you lined him up with your entrance, being extra careful to take your time and sink slowly down until all of his length was filling you up. Phil and yourself took a moment to adjust and kiss a little more before starting to move slowly up and down. Phil was careful to thrust with purpose but not to hurt you. Making sure to give extra care to give attention to your sensitive nub. Your hands found their way to rest on Phil’s shoulders giving a better way to help meet Phil’s thrusts. Between Phil’s build, up from earlier and the way Phil's fingers would putting pressure on your clit it wasn't very long before the two of you were finding your wavelengths of orgasms together.
The moans in the room were all that was needed to notify each other that the two of you were spilling over the edge letting your orgasms rock goosebumps over your skin. Phil gave a few final deep thrusts finishing his orgasm as you let the last through ripples run through you. Leaning your head on Phil’s shoulder the room had gone from loud to deadly silent. The only sounds being the two of you breathing heavily. In sync with each other, you could feel Phil’s heart slowly become calm as you felt yours do the same.
Phil was the first one to break the silence. “I think you should wear those shorts more often. I think they are my new favourite clothing item of yours.” You giggled placing little kisses on his shoulder before smiling into his skin and setting your head back in the little nook of his neck. Even letting out a little yawn as Phil rubbed circles on your back as he found the couch blanket to drape over your bare skin.

Manchester City 5-0 Swansea - PLAYER RATINGS
Manchester City showed no mercy despite already securing the Premier League title as they hit struggling Swansea for five on Sunday afternoon.
PFA player of the year contender Kevin De Bruyne ran the show while David Silva and Raheem Sterling also won worthy mentions.
Watching from the Etihad Stadium, Sportsmail’s JACK GAUGHAN runs the rule on players from both sides.
Manchester City celebrate Raheem Sterling’s goal as they put Swansea to the sword at home
Manchester City (4-3-3)
Ederson – He could’ve done with one of the beach balls floating around the Etihad. Barely anything to do. 6.5
Danilo – Hardly a pressure game but continues to look more assured when called upon. 7
Vincent Kompany – Still playing at a high intensity, which will impress Pep Guardiola who called for exactly that last week. 8
Aymeric Laporte – Calm game as Swansea sat in and didn’t really look like getting at either centre half. Won his headers. 7
Strong in the air but was not really tested, comfortable afternoon for Aymeric Laporte
Fabian Delph – Exquisite wing play and perfect cross for Raheem Sterling’s goal. Defensively solid. 7.5
Kevin De Bruyne – Pulled the strings as normal. Through ball in the build-up to the first goal, with the outside of his right foot, was quite something. And then he bettered that with a hammer after half-time. 9
Ilkay Gundogan – Did the defensive side well, although his breaking up of play generally went unnoticed. 8
David Silva – Splits defences, scores goals – a sensational season and the first time since 2012 he’s been involved in more than 20 goals. 8.5
Bernardo Silva – Ball stuck to his feet in the final third and mesmeric to watch, getting his goal too. 8
David Silva has had a sensational season and showed his class in Sunday’s 5-0 demolition
Gabriel Jesus – Missed a penalty but finally found the net with a flying header from Yaya Toure’s fabulous ball in. 7.5
Raheem Sterling – A real livewire, netted his 23rd of the campaign and looked like he’s rediscovered that instinct inside the box again. 8
Subs: Yaya Toure 7 (for De Bruyne 65); Phil Foden 7 (for Sterling 71); Benjamin Mendy (for Delph 75)
Pep Guardiola – 8
England will be buoyed that Raheem Sterling looks to have found his instinct inside the box
Swansea City (3-5-2)
Lukasz Fabianski – Absolutely nothing he could have done to alter this result and even pulled off a penalty save. 6
Kyle Naughton – Constantly back-pedalling. It’s a fair thankless task playing in that area against City. 5.5
Mike van der Hoorn –  Too much going on in front of him and was easily picked off in behind. 5
Federico Fernandez – Difficult afternoon. Couldn’t really marshal the back three and City’s movement was too quick. 5
Defender Alfie Mawson had the visitors first shot but had a tough afternoon shipping five goals
Alfie Mawson – Had Swansea’s first shot after powerfully driving 30 yards through City’s centre. 5.5
Martin Olsson – Looked Swansea’s most threatening outlet on the left but rarely given the chance to fly forward. Booked for diving. 6
Andy King – Swansea were pinned back far too much for King to break from midfield as he’d like. 6
Ki Sung-yueng – City just played around him. Two Ki deliveries from set pieces were dangerous, however. 5
Tom Carroll was neat and tidy in possession but the Swans needed aggression to win the ball
Tom Carroll – Neat and tidy but struggled to affect things. Swansea needed someone to get their foot on it. 5
Andre Ayew – Cut a lonely figure up top, despite having his brother for company. 5
Jordan Ayew – Tried to be inventive and drop off but wasn’t getting any joy as City dominated possession. 5
Subs: Sam Clucas 5.5 (for Ki 65); Kyle Bartley 5.5 (Fernandez 67); Tammy Abraham 6 (Olsson 75)
Carlos Carvalhal – 5
Referee: Craig Pawson – 6
Jordan Ayew had a tough afternoon with City dominating the possession at the Etihad Stadium

Bernardo Silva’s team of the year spot is no surprise – he has been one of Man City’s shining lights
Members of the Manchester City staff were clambering for their team magazines.
Wearing the white of Monaco, it was Bernardo Silva who had just picked a high, lofted ball from the night sky of Etihad, ghosted past two city players and laid on simple ball.
City actually won 5-3 that evening, just over two years ago, but there was enough left over for a man.

Silva has established himself as one of the most integral players at Pep Guardiola
They did that. Silva arrived in Manchester directly from a vacation in Ibiza, with pink shorts, to sign at the end of May for £ 43 million. He was the first captain of Guardiola & # 39; s spending period and proves to be the best value for money
For many in the city, Silva has been the excellent player of the club's title defender. He has held Leroy Sane and David Silva at different times, both centrally and broadly.
His influence was rather underestimated last season, for the most part he only got 15 Premier League matches and one in which Guardiola was impressed – and almost shocked – by his resilience after patiently waiting for a chance.
Guardiola has two rules: scoring or not losing the ball. Silva loses the ball very, very rarely, but he is just as effective without it. In the entire division, only Christian Eriksen drives more than his 12.10 km on average.
Silva could barely stand while eating a banana after a burst-storming match against Liverpool in January, when he led the game and 13.71km.
He holds the top two spots for the farthest distance in races this season, including the second at Tottenham. Two huge fixtures, two huge efforts.
Silva is the embodiment of the tactical master plan of Guardiola, he is the author of this book. The coaching team believes he can become one of the best players in the football world championship. He grows that & # 39; killer & # 39; instinct for the purpose. That strike under Luke Shaw was his 13th of the season.

Still there is more to the Portuguese international, somewhat less quantifiable, which makes him stand up in a team full of talent: his personality. The 19-year-old is a great communicator, fluent in four languages - including French – after having spent his training years following private education at the € 7,000 per year school of Externato Valsassina in Lisbon.
He is gracious, respectful, intelligent but also very nice. Benjamin Mendy, his friend from Monaco, but also his arch-enemy pranking, will tell you that.
When the staff supplemented his father, Paulo, I replied: & # 39; I made sure that he will never change. & # 39; Silva is his manager says, the most beloved man in that dressing room.
& # 39; See how he celebrates the goals with his teammates & # 39 ;, Guardiola said. & # 39; He is a pleasure, I am an incredibly lucky guy in my hands. & # 39; & # 39; That he gave Phil Foden her man-against-the-match award last Saturday was no surprise.
Silva remembers his roots and likes to visit the Benfica boyhood team if time permits, a club he left in 2015 when manager Jorge Jesus threatened to move him to a back left.
& # 39; He is the best in Europe in his position, yes, & # 39; said Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim. & # 39; He can destabilize an entire defense. He is a brilliant boy, a hard-working boy with a good attitude. He makes no problems. There is never a problem with him. "
Some treat this as a job; he doesn't do it. There is something sincere about the way people talk about their thirst for football and Silva would thank his lucky stars every morning that this is the job he is in.
Silva also came to town, immersing himself in his culture, I moved to a colleague's apartment in Spinningfields earlier this time after a divorce with girlfriend Alicia Verrando and strangely enough Christmas tree in the window until Valentine's Day.
He brunches in the alternative Northern Quarter, a fan of the chic pen and pencil bar.The jazz club, Matt & Phreds, is also a favorite. no problem and he appreciates the lack of burglary.
Silva, whose teammates daily crucify his sense of fashion, is a little different, never in a hurry to leave the training grounds, generous with to show his time and interest in others.
Some believe that Silva could establish himself as one of the best players to play for the city
<img id = "i-210e8cd0db9c7f77" src = "https://dailym.ai/2UVrsnP" height = "599 "width =" 634 "alt =" After a break with his girlfriend, Silva moved into the city and immersed himself in life there.]
After a break with his girlfriend, Silva went into the city and immersed himself there in life his girlfriend, Silva has moved into the city and immersed himself there in life
as an example during the May City Depot in Mayfield Depot last May, when I did my best to recognize someone I recognized.
Another person joined them and the conversation turned to football, and it was suggested that Silva could eventually become the best player the club has owned for three decades. & # 39; Oh my God, & # 39; came the answer. & # 39; I can't believe you said that. & # 39;
Silva was stunned. He just went over to be nice.
I don't know what to do,

The City manager had an animated discussion with Sterling (Picture: Getty)Pep Guardiola says he was unhappy with Raheem Sterling’s showboating at the end of the Manchester derby and reprimanded the forward at full-time. Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City showed their class to inflict a 3-1 defeat on their local rivals, with David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan all getting on the score sheet for the hosts. Deep into stoppage time, Sterling added insult to injury by performing several stepovers in the left-hand corner of the pitch as City ran down the clock. Sterling taunted United’s players in the 95th minute (Picture: Sky Sports)Several United players, notably Juan Mata, were unhappy with Sterling’s lack of respect and chastised him. When the full-time whistle was blown, Guardiola made a beeline for Sterling and had a very animated discussion with the forward over the best way to kill time. Man City put five 'beautiful, beautiful' goals past Burnley
Manager Pep Guardiola praised his Manchester City side for their “beautiful, beautiful goals” as they remained top of the Premier League with a convincing win over Burnley.
Sparkling finishes from Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho and Riyad Mahrez, in particular, caught the eye as City maintained their 100% home record this season.
“After we scored the second goal and third quickly it was much easier,” Guardiola said.
“The finish from Bernardo was not easy. The goals were so outstanding – beautiful, beautiful goals – and the chances we created, and it’s three more points.”

Guardiola’s side were briefly knocked off the summit by Chelsea’s draw with Manchester United earlier on Saturday, but opened up a two-point lead before Liverpool moved level on points with a 1-0 win at Huddersfield in the late kick-off.
City’s procession towards the three points was initially held up by Clarets keeper Joe Hart, making his first return to Etihad Stadium after ending his 12-year stay in the summer.
Hart, a huge crowd favourite during his spell at the club, made superb first-half stops to deny Sergio Aguero and David Silva, but was powerless to stop Aguero firing home as the duo combined to round off a neat passing move. Hart’s afternoon was to get a lot worse.
What happened in the Premier League on Saturday?[1]
The best Premier League stats[2]
Reaction to Saturday’s games[3]
Burnley barely threatened before half-time but their hopes were only truly extinguished when City added two more goals in two minutes shortly before the hour mark.
There was some controversy about City’s second goal, which came after Leroy Sane went down in the area under a challenge by Jack Cork.
Referee Jon Moss waved play on but the Burnley defence stopped, allowing Silva to retrieve the ball before it ran out of play and cross for Silva to sweep home.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche and his players continued to protest as the game resumed, although it was unclear whether they felt the game had been stopped, or that the ball had gone behind before Silva reached it.
It clearly played on the Clarets’ minds, however, and their usual defensive organisation was nowhere to be seen when, seconds later, a corner was cleared as far as Fernandinho on the edge of the area and he found a sublime finish.
From that point, the game was over as a contest, although the City fans still had more reasons to celebrate, firstly when a fit-again Kevin de Bruyne appeared off the bench for his first appearance since the opening weekend of the season.
There were more goals to come as Fernandinho teed up Riyad Mahrez to curl home a superb fourth goal late on, and Sane converted a Benjamin Mendy cross.
Hart makes unhappy return
Hart, 31, had to contend with Cardiff fans chanting “England’s number four” at him during Burnley’s last away game, but got a much warmer reception on his return to his former home.
Even Guardiola, who loaned him out for two seasons before selling him last summer, wrote some affectionate words about the England international in his programme notes.
Hart, who won every major domestic honour during his time at City, was given a standing ovation by the home fans before the game, but the occasion will not be remembered for his fine saves to keep out Aguero’s acrobatic volley or Silva’s close-range header.
Hart would have been hoping for a clean sheet that became his trademark during his time at City – he managed 82 on home turf alone.
Instead, on his 180th appearance here, and his first as an opposition player, he conceded five goals at Etihad Stadium for the first time.
“There is a feeling of frustration in my chest right now,” Hart said. “The crowd reaction was nice but I came here as a Burnley player. It was far from a perfect day.”
However, there was little he could do about any of the goals, with Burnley’s usually solid defence looking particularly brittle in the second half, and collapsing completely by the end.
Dyche lists Burnley grievances
Burnley did not manage a single shot on target and Dyche accepted his side were well beaten, but felt big decisions went against them at “key moments” of the game.
That started in the very first minute, when Vincent Kompany’s reckless challenge on Burnley winger Aaron Lennon saw the City captain booked.
Media playback is not supported on this device
Dyche said: “Kompany is out of control and he does not know where the man is, or the ball. It is just a throw of the leg and it is high – Aaron has got a cut with two stitches in it, high in his thigh.
“It is not vicious or anything but there is no control in the challenge and we are told that is a big thing in challenges like that, so in the modern game that is a red card.”
While Dyche felt his players were at fault for switching off for City’s second goal, he was adamant it should not have stood, with Hart also saying the assistant referee apologised to him later.
Dyche said: “Sane goes down with the tiniest of touches and the referee is going to blow his whistle, but then decides not to and waves it away.
“In the meantime a player who is off the pitch has walked back on the pitch to go and get the ball that is off the pitch to deliver a cross that they then score from. If that is not confusing for everyone in the stadium, it is certainly confusing for me.
“I thought it at the time, and I have seen it back since. With the best view that we can get of it, the ball is out of play, so you can forget about everything else.”
Dyche also felt Sane should have been sent off late on for a challenge on Matt Lowton.
“With Sane right at the end, it has got to be a red card,” Dyche added. “He kicked Matt for no reason at all, just smashing him around his legs. It has got to be a red card, as simple as that.”

Five goals again for City – the stats
Manchester City are now unbeaten in their past 34 Premier League games kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday – the longest such run in the competition (W30 D4).
This was City’s 23rd Premier League victory by a margin of five goals or more – 10 of them have been under manager Pep Guardiola.
This was just Burnley’s fourth Premier League defeat by five or more goals – half of them have been against City.
There were only 115 seconds between City’s second and third goals.
City’s David Silva provided more than one assist in a Premier League game for the 12th time. Only Ryan Giggs (17), Cesc Fabregas (17) and Thierry Henry (13) have done so in more.
City’s Sergio Aguero has scored seven goals in seven games in all competitions against Burnley, including in all four appearances against them at the Etihad.
Silva has assisted Sergio Aguero more than any other City player in all competitions (20).
City’s Fernandinho scored and assisted in a Premier League game for only the second time, also doing so against West Brom in October 2017.
What’s next?
Manchester City travel to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday (20:00 BST).
City face Tottenham at Wembley on Monday 29 October (20:00 GMT), while Burnley welcome Chelsea to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, 28 October (13:30 GMT).

Leicester City 1-1 Manchester City (3-4 pens)
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City remain unbeaten in domestic competition this season
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said he was “so, so, so, so so, happy” after his side reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup following a penalty shootout victory over Leicester.
Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who saved two spot-kicks in the previous round against Wolves, was again the visitors’ hero – keeping out Riyad Mahrez’s effort after Jamie Vardy had hit the post.
The home side had taken the game into extra-time and then penalties after scoring in the final minute of time added on.
Vardy slotted home a penalty after Demarai Gray was harshly adjudged to have been brought down by Kyle Walker.
Guardiola said: “What I liked the most is how we reacted and overcame that situation. It is a good indication for the future.”
With both teams fielding second-string sides at the King Power Stadium, visiting winger Bernardo Silva scored the opener in the first half, slotting home his second goal of the season following Ilkay Gundogan’s powerful run from the halfway line.
Arsenal also made it through to the last four by beating West Ham, while Chelsea host Bournemouth (kick-off 19:45 GMT) and Manchester United travel to Bristol City (20:00 GMT) on Wednesday.
The draw for the semi-finals is scheduled to take place after full-time in the latter game, with the two-legged home and away ties to be played in January.
Quadruple? ‘Forget about it’
The Manchester City players celebrated with fans after the game
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said in May that the club’s ambition for this season is to win a quadruple of Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.
Progression in this competition keeps them on track to achieve that aim, with the campaign’s first trophy being available in February at Wembley.
Since being beaten by Arsenal in last season’s FA Cup semi-finals, Guardiola’s side have gone 27 games in England without defeat, with draws against Everton in the league and against Wolves and Leicester in the EFL Cup. Only Shakhtar Donetsk have beaten them this season in the Champions League.
Asked about winning all four trophies this season, Guardiola – whose Barcelona side won all six trophies on offer in 2009 – said: “Forget about it. That is not going to happen.”
Gundogan, Yaya Toure, debutant Lukas Nmecha and Gabriel Jesus all converted their efforts in the shootout to put City through.
Guardiola made nine changes for the game, giving a start to teenage midfielder Phil Foden two days after the England Under-17 World Cup winner had been named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.
Fellow midfielder Brahim Diaz, 18, and 20-year-old defender Tosin Adarabioyo also came in, but it was the experienced Gundogan who set up the opening goal, weaving past the home players before playing in Silva for a cool finish.
The Portuguese international could have added more to his tally but thumped a shot straight at goalkeeper Ben Hamer and also struck an effort wide.
Guardiola added: “A lot of young players played. I am so happy for all the players.
“They showed me very good things. How you react is important and there were no complaints from the players in extra time about how it was unfair that they had scored a late goal.
“The way we had to react was not easy, we were tired, we had a lot of young players, Danilo was playing at centre-back for the first time in his life.”
Madley says yes, Madley says no
It was a frenetic finale to the match after referee Robert Madley instructed the fourth official to indicate eight minutes of injury time.
He proceeded to make three key decisions:
90+7 minutes, PENALTY: With Gray running through into the box, Kyle Walker ran across the winger, clipped his foot and sent him sprawling to the ground.
111 minutes, NO PENALTY: Madley sent off Walker for two quick yellow cards in the draw against Everton and booked the full-back for diving in extra-time, under the challenge of Aleksandar Dragovic.
126 minutes, NO PENALTY: Riyad Mahrez played a ball through behind the Man City backline. Danilo, already on a booking, was tracking back and came together with Vardy, with the England striker tumbling over, but the official waved play on.
What could have been for Leicester…
The Foxes will no doubt lament a missed opportunity after ending the game strongly.
They were energised by the second-half introduction of Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, and the two combined when Algerian Mahrez’s cross was met by Vardy, but he flicked a header wide of goal.
Mahrez also forced Bravo into a fine save low to his right.
Striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who joined Leicester from City in the summer, has struggled for goals since making the £25m move and his tame shot from 10 yards was easily saved by Bravo in the first half.
“We were unlucky,” said Frenchman Claude Puel. “We had the most chances. It was a fantastic game between two good teams.
“We gave our best. It was important to give a good response after the last league game. I like our positive outlook.
“It was a good moment for Jamie to come into the game. It was a good thing for him to score tonight. No regrets about tonight.”

8 Most Embarrassing European Defeats Suffered by British Clubs After Everton's Atalanta Humbling
There have been some humiliating defeats suffered by English clubs in European competition before.
However, Everton's 5-1 loss at home to Atalanta on Thursday may have set the bar for sheer embarrassment on a continental scale.
Throughout the duration of the game Atalanta showed their superiority, and barring a well-taken goal from Sandro Ramirez, the Toffees were a sticky pudding, and it showed in the end result.
However, Everton fans can take some small comfort in the fact they aren't the first team to suffer so greatly in European competition and they certainly won't be the last.
Here are eight times British clubs were on the end of an embarrassing defeat in Europe...
1. Midtjylland 2-1 Manchester United 2015/16
Throughout Louis van Gaal's reign as Manchester United manager, the Red Devils were prone to the odd clanger, failing to recapture the success everyone had become so accustomed to under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Perhaps the one game that truly epitomised the mediocrity of Manchester United under Van Gaal was the Europa League round of 32 defeat to Danish side Midtjylland.
In the first leg of the tie, United took the lead through Memphis Depay. However, it was not to be for the Red Devils as a goal either side of half time for the hosts saw Midtjylland take a 2-1 advantage to the second leg at Old Trafford to the total surprise of everyone.
Humiliation Rating: 6/10
2. Arsenal 1-5 Bayern Munich 2016/17
Arsenal fans are truly sick of the sight of Bayern Munich.
When the were drawn against the Bavarians in the knockout stages for the fourth time in five seasons, although no one could really blame them for turning a little green, seeing as Bayern were responsible for knocking the Gunners out of the Champions League each time they met.
In 2016/17 it was no different, with the German champions seemingly becoming quite accustomed to trouncing Arsene Wenger's men. Going into the second leg of the last 16 tie, Bayern led Arsenal 5-1 and it seemed the German's were keen on making lightning strike twice.
Theo Walcott opened the scoring for the hosts, seeing them go into the break ahead on the night, but after half time it was all Bayern.
Lewandowski levelled it on the night, paving the way for goals from Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and a brace from Arturo Vidal, as Carlo Ancelotti's men advanced to the quarter finals with a humbling 10-2 aggregate victory.
Humiliation Rating: 8/10
3. Dinamo Bucharest 5-1 Everton 2005/06
Despite finishing in the Premier League top four in the 2004/05 season, Everton's achievements under David Moyes were more than overshadowed by city rivals Liverpool winning the Champions League.
As if things couldn't get any more frustrating for Everton, they suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Romanian side, Dinamo Bucharest in the first leg of the UEFA Cup first round at the start of the next campaign.
Joseph Yobo gave the Toffees something to celebrate, but it was far from enough as the underdogs emerged victorious thanks to goals from  Claudiu Niculescu, Ianis Zicu, Florentin Petre and a brace from  Florin Bratu.
Humiliation Rating: 9/10
4. Artmedia Bratislava 5-0 Celtic 2005/06
Gordon Strachan's first game in charge of Celtic was certainly a memorable one, but for all the wrong reasons.
In the 2005/06 Champions League second qualifying round, the Hoops came up against little-known Artmedia Bratislava of Slovakia.
On paper it should have been a walk in the park for the Scottish champions, but in the end it couldn't have been any worse for them.
Juraj Halenar was gifted a tap-in to set the hosts up with a 1-0 win at half time, and that seemingly set the precedent for the rest of the match. Going into the second half, Artmedia ran riot, thoroughly humiliating Celtic. Blazej Vascak and Martin Mikulic added to the tally, while Halenar completed an unforgettable hat-trick to complete Celtic's suffering.
Humiliation Rating: 10/10
5. Liverpool 0-2 Benfica 2005/06
Liverpool's 2005/06 Champions League campaign as reigning champions was certainly a disappointing one. Despite winning a difficult group featuring Chelsea, Real Betis and Anderlecht, it was in the last 16 against Benfica where the European champions faltered so massively.
Coming off the back of a 1-0 defeat in Portugal, many were optimistic, believing Liverpool would dispatch Benfica and comfortably progress to the quarter finals of the competition.
This was far from the case however, as Simao (a frequent transfer target of Rafa Benitez) gave the visitors the lead in the last 10 minutes of the first half. Fabrizio Miccoli compounded Liverpool's misery with a strike in the final minute of the game, seeing the holders crash out 3-0 on aggregate.
Humiliation Rating: 5/10
6. FC Basel 2-1 Manchester United 2011/12
The night Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League group stages.
United's early exit came as a shock to many, especially as they finished the 2010/11 Champions League campaign as runners-up to Pep Guardiola's Barcelona.
The 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Swiss champions handed the Red Devils a killing blow, seeing them fail to progress from a relatively easy group, featuring the likes of  Benfica and Otelui Galati.
Goals from Marco Streller and Alexander Frei gave the Swiss side a two goals advantage before Phil Jones notched a consolation goal for Sir Alex Ferguson's men, though by then it was too late and last year's finalists were eliminated before the knockout phase.
Humiliation Rating: 8/10
7. FC Porto 5-0 Leicester City 2016/17
Having qualified for the Champions League thanks to their miraculous Premier League victory, Claudio Ranieri's Leicester City were beginning to make a habit of overcoming improbable odds, having secured top spot of their group going into the final fixture of the group stages.
Choosing to rest players in what was an inconsequential fixture, Leicester City set a new record, with Porto's 5-0 victory over the English champions proving to be the largest margin of victory over any English club in the Champions League.
On the night there were four goal scorers with Andre Silva notching a brace as well as Jesus Corona, Yacine Brahimi and Diego Jota getting their name on the scoresheet in an oddly historic night in English football.

8. Chelsea 0-2 Besiktas 2003/04
Before the days of Jose Mourinho and in the early days of Roman Abramovich's ownership of Chelsea, the Blues found themselves in the Champions League group stages with Lazio, Sparta Prague and Besiktas.
It was the latter of the group that dealt Chelsea an early reality check, with the London club returning to Champions League football for the first time in four seasons.
In the second game of the group stages, Claudio Ranieri's men hosted Besiktas in a loss that remains their largest margin of defeat in the Champions League to date.
In a bizarre five-minute period in the first half, the Turkish side netted two goals in quick succession, Sergen Yalcin scoring both goals for the visitors. The quick-fire double went without reply and Besiktas came away from Stamford Bridge as one of the two teams to beat Chelsea by two goals in the Champions League, the other being Atletico Madrid beating the Blues 3-1 in 2013/14.
