The moment you surfaced from the water, you felt his gaze on you. You had known Mr. Murphy for years, for long enough for him to insist that you call him Uncle Cillian (although you didn’t,  but you were never sure why), and his bright blue eyes were hard to miss, especially when they were fixated on you.You swiped the droplets of chlorinated water from your eyes as you looked around for him, dodging the various people that were in your backyard. It was a hot Saturday evening, and your parents were putting on a little summer party to celebrate you being home from college; of course, Mr. Murphy was invited, and you had briefly greeted him when he arrived a few hours before, before you got in the pool. But now, you felt him watching you, and you found him standing by the back door that led into your kitchen.
You watched as he averted his eyes, obviously having been caught looking, and he slipped inside your house quickly. You scrunched up your eyebrows in confusion at his hasty exit, and you swam to the edge of the pool, tugging yourself up and out. Your towel laid nearby, and you quickly dried off and wrapped it around your waist as you padded barefoot by your dad. “Don’t track water into the house,” he told you as you passed, and you absently nodded, still intent on following Mr. Murphy inside.
You found him all alone in the kitchen, standing with his back to the door, leaning against the island, sipping at his beer. He had his phone in his hand, scrolling too quickly to really be looking at anything on his screen, and you purposefully opened the fridge louder than usual to get him to look at you. “What’re you doing in here?” you asked playfully when he looked at you, his paralyzing blue eyes scanning your body, from your soaked hair to the almost-too-small white bikini top you wore. “Don’t you know the party’s out there?”
Mr. Murphy shrugged. “Got hot outside,” he said. “And I know where your dad keeps the good beer.”
You nodded, not really believing him, and you pulled out a can of soda and shut the fridge door with your hip. “Well, wearing sweaters and shit probably doesn’t help with the heat,” you said, reaching out for the corner of his navy cardigan. “You should’ve brought your swim trunks, you could’ve gotten in the pool with me.”
“Ah,” Mr. Murphy scoffed. “Nobody wants to see me parading around in my bathing suit. I’m too old and out of shape for that.”
“As if,” you said. “You look fine, don’t stress too much.”
“Thanks, love,” Mr. Murphy said softly. “Sorry, I’ve just… Ever since the divorce, I haven’t really felt like myself.”
Ah, right. The divorce. Your parents and The Murphys had been friends since they were your age— you had seen the scrapbook pictures of college-aged versions of your dad and Cillian getting up to no good— and you had to admit that you were always a little closer to Aunt Yvonne (not to say you didn’t like Mr. Murphy, because you did, but you always liked Aunt Yvonne more). When you were at college and your dad offhandedly mentioned on the phone one night that Yvonne and Cillian were separating, you had frowned. “Is Yvonne okay?” you asked. “What happened?”
“I’ve only talked to Cillian about it,” your dad had told you. “And he hasn’t said much. People just grow apart, I guess.”
You screwed up your mouth at the mention of the mysterious divorce, and you popped the tab of your soda. “That’s okay,” you told him. “You just need to find someone new.”
“Really?” Mr. Murphy asked. “A rebound? Is that how you deal with breakups?”
“Well, yeah,” you shrugged. “Whenever I get sad about my ex or whatever, I just go find someone else to focus on for a little while.”
“First of all, that’s not healthy,” Mr. Murphy chuckled. “Second… I don’t know, I was married for 20 years. I have two kids. I can’t just go find a girl at a bar and hook up with her and expect to get over it.”
“I don’t know, man,” you mumbled. “Just trying to help, I guess.”
“I appreciate that,” Mr. Murphy said. “You’ve always been a sweet girl.”
Oh. Oh no. You felt a stirring in your lower belly when he said that, one that made heat flood your bikini bottoms, and you shifted your weight on your feet as you nervously sipped your soda. You had to admit that Mr. Murphy, with his high cheekbones and greying hair and brilliant eyes, was quite attractive, exactly your type, and you had considered fucking him before, but, because of Aunt Yvonne, you had pushed down that desire and pretended it didn’t exist. It was just a fantasy about your dad’s best friend; that wasn’t that uncommon, was it?
“So,” he started before you could think anymore. “How’s college?”
You shrugged. “Fine, I guess,” you said. “Classes are okay, but exams are hard as hell.”
“Oh, yeah?” Mr. Murphy said softly. “Any boys catch your eye?”
“Honestly, not really,” you said. “They’re all kind of… Eh, I guess. I don’t like any of them the way I—” You cut yourself off before you could finish your sentence, the way I like you, and you stammered, “I-I should.”
“What’s wrong with them?” Mr. Murphy asked. “I mean, I know college boys can be dumb, but what’s wrong?”
“They’re just not mature enough,” you said softly. You set down your drink and wrapped your arms around your middle, and you added, “I don’t want to worry that my boyfriend will do some stupid shit on a night out. And they just, umm, don’t do things the way I want them to.”
Mr. Murphy wrinkled his eyebrows in confusion, also setting down his drink, and he leaned his hip against the kitchen island. “What do you mean?” he asked.
“Well…” you started. “Boys my age don’t, like… Whenever I’ve hooked up with a guy, I’ve always asked him to do certain stuff, and he never does. At least not well.”
“Wait,” Mr. Murphy said. “Are you telling me that the boys you go out with don’t go down on you?”
Your skin prickled at the sound of those words coming out of his mouth, and you eyed him suspiciously before you cleared your throat. “Um, not really,” you said. “Like, they do it, but never well.”
“Oh, darling,” Mr. Murphy sighed. “You need to find a really good guy that’ll do that. And he’ll treat you like the princess that you are; don’t ever let a man do anything less.”
You huffed out a laugh. “Thanks, Mr. Murphy,” you said softly.
He smiled softly, tilting his chin down to look at you, and he said, “Now, how many times have I told you to call me Cillian?”
Your heart skipped in your chest, and you mumbled, “A-A few.”
“And yet, you don’t,” Cillian said. “Why not? You called my wife Yvonne, why not me by my name?”
“I don’t know,” you said. “I never felt like I was close enough to you to really… Deserve to call you that.”
Cillian took a step towards you, then hesitated, then reached out for you. You expected him to grab your hands or touch your shoulders, but his fingers tucked in the towel around your waist. He waited for a moment before he slowly unraveled it from your body, and his eyes hungrily took in the sight of your legs. “Wow,” he whispered. “I knew that you would be so beautiful…”
“Cillian?” you said gently, nervously looking over your shoulder to the outside door, where everybody else was still outside. “Wh-What if someone sees?”
“Sees what?” Cillian asked. He set your towel on the counter, taking a step closer to you. “We’re not doing anything.”
“Yeah, but…” you started. “But—”
“If you want me to do something, all you have to do is ask,” Cillian told you. “But ask nicely.”
You swallowed thickly. “I-I don’t even know what I want,” you told him. “I’ve thought about this, sure, but…”
“Do you want me to go down on you?” Cillian asked. “Just say the magic word, love.”
You blinked, fluttering your eyelashes at him, and you softly said, “Please?”
Cillian’s face softened, and he took your hips in his grasp, pulling you close to him. He gently moved you to the counter and helped you jump up on it, and he buried his face in your neck and took a deep breath as his fingers danced at the ties on your bikini bottom. “Sweet girl,” he whispered. “How long have you wanted this?”
“Umm…” you started, and your breath caught in your throat when he deftly undid your ties, pulling your wet bottoms from your skin. “A long time.”
“Yeah?” Cillian breathed, and he carefully moved down to kneel on the ground in front of you, his face level with your pussy. You felt almost shy as he looked at you, and you wiggled on the countertop as his dull fingernails pressed into the flesh of your thigh. “And how long has it been since you’ve had sex?”
“A few weeks,” you told him. “I haven’t since I moved back home.”
“Oh, you’re dying for it, aren’t you?” Cillian cooed softly. “Your little vibrator isn’t enough, right?”
“No,” you breathed. Cillian leaned forward and littered soft kisses on the inside of your thighs, coming close to where you wanted him but never landing exactly there. He was teasing you, the bastard. Your hand left the counter and curled in his salt and pepper hair, urging him closer to your pussy, and he smiled, looking up at you with those brilliant eyes. You felt shocked, like his gaze was electric, and Cillian sighed heavily, focusing back down between your legs.
“You’re so pretty, baby,” he whispered, his warm breath fanning across your core. “My sweet girl…” Then, before he could say more, he pressed forward, touching his lips to your pussy. You jolted in surprise, letting out a quick laugh to try to ease your nerves, and he chuckled lightly. “You alright?”
“Yeah,” you said softly. “Just… Nervous.”
“Why’re you nervous?” Cillian asked, smoothing his hands up your legs to rest on your back.
“If someone catches us—” you started, and Cillian furrowed his eyebrows, shaking his head.
“They won’t,” he told you.
“But if they do?” you countered.
“But they won’t,” Cillian said firmly. “Ease up, love, just enjoy this. Let me take care of you.”
“O-Okay,” you said softly. Your fingers rested against the back of his head as he continued to kiss all over you, and he finally put his mouth right where you wanted him to, almost like you had led him there. His tongue darted out to taste you, playing gently with your soft clit, and you closed your eyes blissfully, letting the wet warmth of his mouth overtake you. “Fuck, Cill…”
“That’s it,” Cillian whispered, and his lips captured your clit, sucking on it for a brief moment, just long enough for you to moan softly, and he broke away. His tongue ran a thick line up your wet cunt, tasting you from throbbing hole to quivering clit, and he went back to your hole, teasing you with the tip of his tongue.
You clenched your teeth to keep from being too loud, and you watched Cillian eat your pussy like he was starving for it, lapping up your wetness and sucking eagerly at every inch of flesh that he could get his mouth on. He held you tightly, yet tenderly, wanting all of you that you would give him, and the warmth of an orgasm began to build in your belly. God, that was quick, but you suppose that Cillian had years of experience. He knew what he was doing, far better than any kid from your sociology class could do. “Cill,” you whispered, and he looked at you through his eyelashes, shocking your system again. “Fuck!”
“What is it, baby?” he asked softly. His fingers itched to your pussy, lighting trailing up and down your slit, and you whined as you felt an intense and sudden need.
“Want you,” you mumbled.
“What do you want?” Cillian asked.
“Anything,” you panted, jolting your hips again at his light teasing. “Everything.”
“Unless you have a condom,” Cillian started with a laugh. “I’m not having proper sex with you. I’ll do this and finger you and everything else, but…”
“Why not?” you asked. “Are you worried that I…?”
“No, I’m not worried about that,” Cillian said. “I know you don’t have anything, it’s not that. I just… I don’t want there to even be a chance that you could… That we could…”
“I don’t understand,” you said, looking down at him through half-open lids.
“I don’t wanna knock you up,” Cillian said quickly, as if saying it quickly would lessen its impact. “And I’m not going to fuck you if I don’t have a condom, because, once I get inside you, I know I won’t be able to control myself from cumming inside you.”
“Oh,” you said softly. “It’s not a… An Irish Catholic thing?”
That made Cillian laugh. “You know, just because ‘Irish Catholic’ is a thing doesn’t mean that all Irish people are Catholics—”
“No, no, I know,” you said quickly. “Sorry, just checking.”
Cillian smiled softly, laughing gently at you, and his fingers gently touched your hole, waiting for you to do something in response. You sighed, flexing your hips down to urge his fingers inside you, and he did as you requested, pressing his middle finger past your flesh and inside you. You gasped at the feeling, loving him so deep, and you mumbled, “Cill…”
“I know, love,” Cillian said, placing a soft kiss to your clit. “Does it feel good?”
“So good,” you whimpered. Cillian began to slowly thrust his finger inside you, moving gently as he sucked lightly on your clit, and you gasped quickly. “Cill! Oh my God!”
“That’s it, lovely,” Cillian said. He pushed his second finger in, pausing to let you adjust to the feeling of it, and then he started up a relentless pace, fucking you quickly on his fingers as his mouth and tongue explored your pussy. “God, you’re so tight, s’good…”
The heat inside you was becoming too much, tingling even down in your toes as it grew in your belly, and you whimpered and let out a cracked moan as his fingers hooked up inside you, brushing that sensitive nerve. “Cill!” you yelped, your hand flying down to grab at his wrist, as if that would stop his quick fucking. “Oh my God, I’m gonna cum!”
“Mhm,” Cillian hummed, burying his face fully into you. “Let it out, baby.”
You whined high in your throat, everything becoming all too overwhelming, and your legs shook as the heat burst in your belly. Your head fell back as you moaned, maybe a little too loud, and Cillian fucked you through it, whispering out “Yes, love, you’re so good, you’re such a good girl for me.” You tugged on his hair as your orgasm crashed through you, trying to keep him right where he was but also pull him away all at the same time, and Cillian smiled into your pussy, letting his tongue linger a bit at your throbbing hole. “Now,” he started softly. “Was that better than what you’re used to?”
“Yeah,” you sighed. You looked down at him, still kneeling on the floor, and you brushed back his hair out of his eyes gently before he started to stand up. “Thanks.”
“Of course, love,” Cillian said. He grimaced a bit as he stood, mumbling out something about that damn knee, and he added, “When’re you going back to university?”
“Not for a few months,” you said. “It’s summer break.”
“That’s nice,” Cillian said. “Well, erm… I’d like to see you again.”
“Oh, yeah?” you chuckled. You slid off of the counter and retrieved your bottoms, and you did the ties back up as you tried to stand on your shaking and weak legs. Jesus, he really did a number on you. “When?”
Cillian took his drink back into his hand and sipped at it for a moment, thinking hard. “Well,” he began. “Whenever you’re free. I’m at your mercy, love.”
“Right,” you said, laughing softly. “I’ll let you know.”
At that moment, the door to the backyard creaked open, and your heart stopped as your dad came into the kitchen. “There you two are,” he said. “I thought you were still outside.”
“No, I cornered her to ask about school,” Cillian chuckled, and he looked at you. “Remember what I said: school first, parties later. Right?” He winked at you, and you huffed out a laugh.
“Yeah, sure,” you smiled. “Whatever you say, Cillian.”

WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE XZ & WYB WEAR @ Weibo night red carpet & event. 💕
Tumblr media
This is my personal taste and choice. If we lived in a perfect world where they can wear whatever they want and not just boring black — then these would be my picks. I would love for them to have 2-3 changes. red carpet, event proper and receiving the award. I mean, why not? They have a brand who will dress them so go crazy. lol. I chose ones that are from the recent runways but they will most likely wear custom ones or even pieces that are not yet seen by the public.
My absolute dream for Yibo is to have something with Lace on it ( think Douyin awards ) but Chanel doesn’t have any. So I’m picking his usual rich businesswoman cardigans that he loves to wear. These could be on the carpet cause it’s playful 😊
I’m drawn to pinks & sparkles so:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are so safe in what i think he is capable of wearing if given the freedom to do so. My personal favorite is #1 because it also reminds me of Tencent Starlight 2020.
As for accessories he will most likely wear coco crush rings and some fancy jewelry that costs more than all my tangible money.
GG will be decked out in GUCCI. I mean he just worked with and met with their team during his euro trip; so it’s a possibility that they made something for him when he was there. So my picks are most likely not even in his choices.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This would have been so perfect but he already wore it for a campaign soooo.. something similar will be good and all the sparkly jewelry. ✨✨✨
Tumblr media
LASTLY, i think most of us saw what he was wearing in his Florence ad campaign shoot for GUCCI. He was wearing that yellow cardigan that reminds me of Chanel’s aesthetic. That was so beautiful. 😍😍😍 It would be awesome to see @ the red carpet.
That is all. This is me trying to ease the stress of Yibo not confirming for Weibo night yet. Also anticipating the busy Saturday we’re all gonna have. 🤍

[ID 1: A two-panel comic, with characters depicted from the hips up in flat color. It features Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia and the artist’s fan-child for him, Mako, who is a teen with dark hair and brown skin. They wear a light green cardigan over a black shirt and beige pants. Yuri has grey streaks in his hair, which he is wearing back in a ponytail. In the first panel, Yuri “sends” a string of texts shown as a screenshot, where the sender says “Evil gang >:) >:)” “Evil gang >:)” “Evil gang >:) Evil gang >:)” “Evil gang >:)” “Evil gang >:)” ” Evil gang >:)” “Evil gang >:)” followed by a message timestamped later that reads “Hey buddy, hope your having an awesome day. Dad loves you, call me again when you can.” Yuri smiles down at his phone fondly. In the second panel, Mako looks down at their pinging phone in exasperation, saying “Dad…” The background is a horizontal gradient, going from bright pink-purple in Yuri’s panel to grey-purple in Mako’s. ID 2: A one-panel comic with flat color and a light blue background, featuring Flynn Scifo from Tales of Vesperia and the artist’s fan-child for him, Mako. Mako is shown from the waist up, wearing their hair partially pulled back with a dark purple ribbon, and a dark blue hoodie over a grey t-shirt. They gesture over their shoulder with an expression of concern, speaking to someone out-of-frame. Their speech bubble shows a screenshot of a post by tumblr user parotcardsroxy, which says “i asked my dad to make me a hot chocolate and he’s literally sawing something in the kitchen rn.” In the background, Flynn can be seen through a doorway, from the knees up. He is smiling and humming to himself as he uses a handsaw on something which can’t be seen through the door. He wears a royal blue apron over his clothes. /End ID]

Okay, so, here's a random scene that popped in my head for the Cryptid AU! This is the first time I'm sharing fanfiction that I've written, so any feedback is helpful! I'm still working on character voices too, so I hope it's showing up on the writing. Anyway, enjoy!!
-------------------------------------------------------
"Is this thing on?" The camera jostled as hands began to adjust the screen and move the lens in place.
"Danny, be careful! It's expensive equipment, we can't have a fiasco like last time" another voiced responded, with a slightly annoyed tone. "Don't worry about the tech stuff, I got it all taken care of." The image of a young man's chest focused in the viewfinder. His brown, handmade sweater was the main focus of the entire screen, until he stepped back to be seen. "Okay, stop there for a sec... let me try to find a better angle..." The camera moved back to get the boy in the frame. A row of corn stalks were seen standing behind him, waving as a slight breeze rolled a cloud, briefly, over the setting sun. The golden light cast long shadows of the stalks, shading him and his features, darker than they usually were.
Danny tapped his foot as he waited, turning towards the left side of the video, shoving his hands in his black jeans' pockets. "Sam, are you sure I have to wear this? It's itchy..." he shrugged in the sweater, trying to get it more comfortable and shivered as another breeze rolled by.
"I made that, you better wear it!" Sam chided from out of frame. "Besides, it makes you... blend in a little. You don't look as out of place, like you usually do. Like a local, or something. Also, seeing as your shivering, it'll keep you warm as we investigate, Clueless."
Danny rolled his blue eyes and then averted his attention back to the camera. "C'mon Tuck, we go live in about 2 minutes, we have to be ready. It's the first live video on the channel!"
"Hold your horses, let the tech master work his magic!" Tuck shouted. "Dude, you're really on edge."
"Sorry, Im just excited... and kind of nervous. I mean, what if the audience sees something theyre... not supposed to, ya know?" He tugged on his sweater sleeves.
"It'll be fine. We picked an easy investigation. Trust me, I researched all night about it." Sam said.
After a moment of more adjusting, a muttering under breath, "There! Alright, we're ready to go live!" Danny beamed, eyes glowing, and clapped his hands together, instantly shaking off his nerves.
"Alright keep your eye on the time. Remember, we're just going to focus on the legend. If anything happens, act like it's nothing. Then we'll end the stream..."
"And then we can take care of some real business." Sam finished, walking on screen. She wore a dark purple cardigan, over a black turtleneck, a thick book in her arms. She opened it up to show Danny a couple pages. "Here, this should help ease that overly active brain of yours. It should either be dormant, or not active. Besides, according to this book, it won't be hard to deal with at all. The easiest way to keep it away, if we need to, is by walking backwards. That way, it'll feel like we're watching it. Should be a good show, with no issues!" She smiled towards Tuck behind the camera, humor dancing in her eyes. "So long as you can keep everything in frame this time, 'tech master'" she joked, raising a pierced eyebrow.
"Ha ha." A red gloved hand came into view, shooing at Sam. "We're on in 30 seconds! Get out of frame, cryptkeeper." Sam stuck out her tongue and moved out of frame, still smiling.
Danny adjusted the mic hooked to his sweater collar, smoothed his messy hair as best he could, and took a deep breath. "Ready Tuck?"
"Always ready, Danny." Tuck responded. His gloved hand came back into frame, giving a tuumbs up. "It'll be awesome. Nothing will go wrong." He counted down from five with his fingers, and pointed at the other to start.
"Welcome back everyone to Phantom Haunts, the channel where we investigate Paranormal occurances..."

ok just posting some random things about the concert last night
- I was on Ray’s side so I saw him come out first and I literally screamed. so sorry to everyone around me
- Gerard in the cheerleading outfit!! they really seemed so happy and comfortable in it just jumping and twirling around, it definitely felt more like personal expression than a performative gesture
- towards the end of the show G said “the only thing I’m sad about is that I probably won’t be able to wear this again” to which everyone awwed, but like. no. you are WELCOME to wear it again my best friend
- also loved everyone else wearing Mikey shirts since he lives in nashville!! side note: Frank’s cardigan…….
- I was worried they wouldn’t play our lady of sorrows since they played it at the last two shows and it’s one of my all time favs but THEY DID I’m actually so happy
- during give ‘em hell kid right before “you’re beautiful” G pointed at us and was like “no YOU are. it’s YOU” <3
- they were all just so smiley! like smiling at each other and at the crowd and I know everyone’s been saying that they’re just so happy to be back but like- it was just awesome to see
- I loved Mikey’s posing like you go king!! lol
- boy division, sorrows, give em hell, and HOUSE OF WOLVES back to back HOW did any of us survive
- Gerard has officially proclaimed im not okay the “greatest summer jam” so everyone else can go home now sorry
- hearing “trust me” live… my life is actually over now thanks
- being able to see Mr Ray Toro working his magic up close was life changing. I’ve never seen anyone look as happy as him playing guitar
- sadly Frank shelved the moaning during DESTROYA probably since Mikey’s fam was there but boy G sure didn’t !
- also I wasn’t super close since I got into the pit late but it was enough that I could fully see all of their faces. the thought that any of them could have seen my face is kinda messing me up ngl
- there was never a moment where I was like “oh fuck they’re looking at me” except for one time when Gerard stared in my direction for a long time and it was… very intense. I was recording at that moment (you can’t see their face very well) but I was like- do I have the flash on or something is that why he’s staring this way?? you can see me nervously turning the camera to check in the video lol
- Ray’s vocals during na na na are literally everything to me <3
- being at the first show that they played the finished version of the world is ugly is something that is actually soooo special to me
- also this is the best day ever- bullets songs just hit different man idk what to tell you
- I’ll be honest I don’t listen to wttbp a lot just because it’s such a thing, but hearing it in person surrounded by everyone singing along is just so epic. it could never be overhyped
- mama with G in the dress is obviously incredible and I’ve seen a ton of videos of them during the “should’ve raised a baby girl” part but I remember looking at Ray right before that part as well and he just looked so happy and excited knowing how loud everyone was about to sing along. they all did really. they absolutely know how much that part means to their fans
- when the intro to sleep was playing Ray smiled and raised up his wine glass lmaooo
- love that they played Helena early so they didn’t forget this time lol
- GERARD SINGING THE CIRCUS SONG WHEN THEY CAME BACK ONSTAGE FOR THE ENCORE. bestie are you calling US clowns?? ok
- Gerard’s little ramble before kids of yesterday, saying he recognized people’s faces… <3
- Ray’s solo during kids was gorgeous to behold- perfect way to end
- I’d only ever been in the pit at two other concerts and this one was by far the least crazy crowd. even though everyone was obviously excited and super energetic everyone was very respectful and considerate (also the band and crew were great with safety and giving everyone water)
Anyways this was the best night of my life and though I hope to see them again, if I don’t I’ll still be happy to have been here

tonight I’m feeling sentimental about the record store that was walking distance from my house since we moved in which was like fifth grade to I don’t know senior year of high school? But you guys. It was so marvelous. When I would have my babysitting money and it would be a holiday off of school or a weekend when my parents are out of town and I would put on my coolest outfit. probably something I would have worn on the sunset strip in 1968. And I’d grab an apple or like a handful of blueberries, my cash, and then walk first to the thrift store first thing in the morning at 10 AM. And I spent hours in there, and you know the smell of the secondhand store of like secondhand clothes, so comforting to me and first, I would go to the shirts, but usually there was nothing there that was good enough for me. So then I would be line to the dresses, and I would find the most beautiful dresses to wear, and then I’d go diagonal over to the rest of the ladies section and find skirts and blouses. Not shirt but blouses. And sometimes I would look through the like two piece, old lady, business suits and look and see if like the dresses were cute without the little cardigan jacket that it came with and then I’d go even more diagonal to the men’s shirts and sift through all three or four racks of men’s shirts because I thought it was funny to you know where ironic silly T-shirts. And then I go through the dress shirts of the men section, and then I go to the belts, and I always love the men’s section belts, and then at the back of the men’s section through the boys section where it was the shoes and I would probably buy a pair of ugly ass brown clogs. Because those are my thing and then I’d go back over to where the dresses were over to book section that was also you know this section where they had like actual expensive things under glass and I’d look through the books and really all it was was like church and then like some you know George Bush senior biography, then go over to the wooden trinkets wooden trinkets only. And then that would be it. So I check out there. And then Jay walk across the street to the record store and I kind of made friends with the punk guy who worked there. And he would always smile at me when I walked in and I would go to the what was it called you know the new donated ones that were like categorized I’d flip the fuck through there and for some reason flipping through records like dries up my hands so then I’d always get like a paper cut or like my cuticles will get all fucked up, but it was worth the pain and so I’d go through those see if there’s anything good and then I go through like the alphabetical part and probably look for a doors record or something like that Fleetwood Mac you know me and then I’d go over to the movies see if they’re any good movies, sometimes they’d have like rock biographies and y’all already know I loved it over there. Then I check out and I had my fancy a little like membership card which would get me a dollar off off of all my purchases which was awesome and then I’d walk home and it was really fun in the summer because it would be so fucking hot and I’d be so miserable and sweaty but I’d have all my bags of stuff and sometimes I’d like to carry my records not in a bag that people driving by would see what I bought and think that I was so cool and then sometimes if I felt like it, I’d stop by Baskin-Robbins and get a milkshake but then I’d go home and put my records away maybe listen to one put my clothes in the washer probably like feed my dog lunch have a big old glass of water and then take a nap. And that was my ritual.

5, 23, 29, 31 for the Casey ask meme. Also my own question is is casey an introvert or an extrovert? cause they seem to love attention and hate people
ask meme
5. how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?
she tries to dress professionally, but her personality ends up bleeding through in things like her cardigan being a little ratty and always sliding off her shoulder (and a blazer or something making more sense for classiness which is what shes supposedly going for) and her skirt being like too short for the fact she doesnt wear tights underneath LOL ... def on the side of aesthetics, she takes a lot of pride in her appearance even though her style isnt like spectacular or anything, she thinks shes rocking it
23. how would you describe their voice? can they sing?
i do have a voice for casey in my head but im so bad at describing things like that... a little high pitched but tired sounding at the same time...a little nasally....grating. they cannot sing, but they dont let that stop them
29. are they associated with any particular element (air, earth, fire, water)?
if i had to pick between these, fire? shes intense
31. do they like receiving gifts? giving gifts? what is their ideal gift?
he would LOVE getting gifts if anyone GAVE HER ANY.... he'd love any old materialistic thing. including gift cards and stuff like that. he'd probably actually think handmade heartfelt gifts were cheaper than straight up just giving cash. he'd probably ask for stuff like expensive clothes or anti aging serums with gold flakes inside. or something he saw on tiktok
casey doesnt give gifts because she is selfish and thoughtless
IS CASEY AN INTROVERT OR AN EXTROVERT?
LOL..SHE LOVES ATTENTION BUT HATES PEOPLE....that really sums her up... thats kinda why she finds the idea of being a movie star so attractive, she wants to be on the other side of the camera where people cant reach out and grab her. she does ok and can be pretty good at socializing with others but she does have a bit of a loners soul, the 'dealing with coworkers/networking/making smalltalk' part of it all is 100% work. she doesnt find much enjoyment in it. all she really wants is to ego search herself and get 100 love tweets and fancams and for interviewers to say shes awesome and inspiring and so on. aaack. im leaning towards introvert. but maybe like... smack dab in the middle of the line. she doesnt get shy or socially anxious at all and she can be outgoing and confrontational ...but yeah like you said she just straight up doesnt like people LOL..so theres my answer

Samuel Lee Witwicky: Body Headcanons/Facts (Reboot AU)
Sixteen year-old Chinese-Australian American. So naturally, he has both traditionally ‘asian’ and ‘european’ features, that being golden-toned/warm-toned porcelain-esque skin with freckles. It’s a far cry from the stereotypical pale yellow- think of Mari and Sunny’s skin tone from OMORI (at least, Sunny before the pizza came).
Despite the height difference not really being all that much, he’s the shortest one (he’s 5’3/160 cm, Mikaela is 5’6/167 cm, and Heidi is 5’4/162.6 cm).
Tumblr media
Despite being somewhat slim, petite and mildly toned, unlike other asian characters in Transformers like Miko Nakadai, his body type actually has some pretty prominent curves. His body type is actually really curvy around certain areas, and he's one of those trans guys who's not a skinny white twink (no offense meant by this /gen). One of his associations is nature, healing and life, and nature is plentiful with its bounties. His skin is also really soft since his parents urge him to always take care of it. This is why he likes to bind- he doesn’t mind being curvy in areas like the hips and thighs, etc, he just doesn’t like the curves on his chest aka breasts (someone pay for his top surgery or I sue /j) 🙂
He has traditionally really gentle and traditionally ‘beautiful’ features, like a button nose, dimples, bow-shaped lips, etc. But the one that stands out are his beautiful, bright and sparkling green eyes that’s inherited through his father’s side of his family (descended from Archibald). He also inherited his freckles from that side of the family too.
He has iridescent rings around his pupils that are an indication/foreshadowing that he’s not exactly ‘human’. Whenever his powers are triggered, or whenever he wills himself to use them, sometimes the pupils or the whole eyes light up with that blinding gilded light. And whenever the transformation into his other ‘Transformer’ form is triggered, they flash green.
Speaking of eyes, did I mention they’re monolid eyes? And they’re what some call ‘peach blossom’ shaped? And he lines them with red eyeliner? Bro is straight rizz material-
Trans dude, bisexual and polyamorous, born intersex (PCOS): him being trans and intersex plays into his body type where he has quite a bit of body hair on areas like his chest and legs. There’s not as much on his arms, though.
An INFJ Pisces and supreme peak autistic, what can I say lmao-
Sam dresses very modestly and formally, usually in collared shirts and in patterned sweaters/sweater vests (but mostly sweater vests). And most of the time, he wears baggy, decorative zip-up hoodie jackets atop them. Sometimes he wears cardigans or painted/decorated jean jackets, loose tops with floral or other cute patterns, and shorts. In the winter, he slaps on trench coats over his outfits along with cute gloves and scarves.
Sometimes his aesthetic is light academia with dark vests, sometimes it's cottagecore, sometimes it leans towards cute, muted pastel kidcore, sometimes he has a few retro-esque fashion items on, who knows? At the end of the day he looks as cute as he is on the inside 😊
But on some occasions, he does have blazer top jackets, y2k accessories, and turtleneck top wear that he wears on some occasions. Mikaela encourages him to wear them more often because she and Heidi both think that it makes him look awesome. He deserves to feel happy in his own body. Some of the blazer jackets have Chinese patterns, others have 80’s/90’s patterns. He sometimes adorns them with a pin or two.
If this man has his first date in the future, he’d wear a hanfu to it. He’d wear a hanfu to prom. He’d accessorize in all the cutest ways, and thinks it won’t look good. People proceed to die.
Y’know those Pacific Rim drivesuits that the pilots always wear? Think of Sam wearing something similar- that’s what he always wears into battle. There’s always a belt that he wears that has the steel Autobot crest on it on the armor/pilot suit.
Sam 👏 wears 👏 makeup 👏
And that’s on PERIODT.
He wears tinted and scented lip gloss, sometimes even those glossy expensive brands of lipstick that his mother owns, he learned how to properly apply eyeliner from his mother, he puts that on top of a bit of light foundation and blush, but even then he’s so damn pretty without makeup.
You cannot tell me that this man doesn’t have a natural blush on the tip of his nose and his cheeks, and some across the bridge too.
And jewelry?? On god. He wears those ebony stud earrings lined with gold with an amethyst dangling below it, those are his favorite earrings- and he has necklaces and pins, and he even has pearl jewelry and so many y2k-esque rings on his fingers that he likes to twirl and play with. He has jewelry for EVERY occasion.
He only wears the rings sometimes, though- he already has his bracelet to toy with.
And nail polish. He either goes with the glittery light purplish pink one, or the straight black nail polish with the extra shine, because that’s what suits him the most in his opinion.
He loves flowers and plants so much that he has a eucalyptus leaf and flower anklet that he wears on occasion.
Not to mention the Buddhist clay and brass bead bracelet that he stims with on occasion, twirling it around his finger in repetitive patterns as some sort of self-grounding and self-soothing behavior. He even sometimes chews on the jade pendant of the necklace his mother gave him- he wears that shit all the time.
Naturally, Sam’s body is capable of some pretty weird stuff, as you can imagine if you have the heart of a literal primeval CREATOR GOD merged with your own since your birth that’s been altering your DNA and fundamental molecular structure to superhuman levels-
When he transforms into a more robotic form, he pilots it like a mech or a jaeger with his own body in the ‘Transformer’ body’s spark. It’s an extension of himself, like he IS the body, because of the nature of his heart as well as the neural link established with the suit. If the Transformer body feels pain or takes damage, then he feels the pain of that damage and takes that damage as well. The only exception is severed limbs- in which case, the limb of Sam’s ‘human body’ merely is disabled/paralyzed until repair/medical aid is administered. Think of how Mark from Mech X4 operates the Mech itself. Coupled with that, the mech has all of the standard abilities of a Transformer, including an alt mode.
He can breathe underwater and in space when transformed. Or, rather, this is because he feels no need to breathe when transformed.
You know Blue Beetle’s mechanical scarab wings? Well, think of Sam’s more robotic form having those. The scarab wings with the sunset color palette, glimmering in the light as they unsheathe, having the ability to shift and turn into a shield of sorts as they arch over his head and in front of him, expanding their area to shield his body… foaming at the mouth rn help-
These come with side-effects, such as enhanced reflexes, strength, senses and dexterity, and the ability to interact with Cybertronian technology as well as reading several different scriptures/forms of Cybertronian to an extent. Given how Transformers sometimes communicate via telepathy or technopathy without any sensory channels/input required… Sam also has these kinds of abilities pertaining to the mind. He can establish neural links with other living beings and dreamwalk, creating a metaphysical manifestation of their realms of consciousness to navigate and telepathically talk to them.
Sometimes, he can even revive dead life such as plants, and on rare occasions he’s accidentally created new life. Other abilities include absorbing and redirecting energy, kind of like Black Panther’s nanotech suit.
When Sam grows older, I imagine he’ll have a small ponytail and have some beard facial hair. I imagine him also gaining a few more centimeters, in addition to maybe getting himself a tattoo of the Autobot crest. He’ll also embrace his body and grow into it, learning to be proud of who he is and not deny or show shame for parts of himself. He’ll also ofc have a few battle scars, because who wouldn’t when fighting in a war honestly. C’mon guys /lh

Some random selfship meme?
I can’t find it anymore, but there was this meme for self-shipping I saw somewhere that basically said:
Step 1: Open Spotify Step 2: Go to your liked songs Step 3: Turn on shuffle Step 4: Start playing the playlist. Step 5: Think of a f/o before the songs start, that song (Given it has lyrics and isn't fandom-related.) will describe your relationship with that F/O.
For fun, I decided to do it, and uh-...
-Advanced warning! Some of these songs contain swearing, and the song for Aaravos is slightly suggestive in places-
Loki Odinson:
UHHHHH- while the original song I find fairly endearing, this version? It honestly gives me some thriller/stalker vibes, which is not a good sign. Based on the lyrics though? ‘My only friend was a stray kitty’ especially? I’m getting the feeling that in this instance, I’m the stalker. Oh, no-
Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane:
Oooh, I love Mother Mother songs. Let's see... Well, I gotta say, it does have Scarecrow's vibe. The song is about trying to force change in yourself, but said change isn't working (And you end up hurting yourself by trying to in the process.) Or...at least that's my read of it.
So, Someone tried to change themselves for the relationship and it didn't work, which ended up hurting them? Sounds like a failed villain redemption and subsequent relapse to me. (Try to be not a villain for your civilian partner, only to end up turning around later type of thing?) ...So, I'm gonna assume this is BTAS Scarecrow, then-
Brahms Heelshire:
I- I mean... well first of all, the 'dressed in green' line would imply that Brahms is the frog, seeing as his cardigan's green and I never wear green, in fact, I usually wear black or brown, which are actual scorpion colours anyway-
Tomura Shigaraki:
Ooooh, that's a nice match. Honestly, yeah, it kind of feels that way, especially with what quirk I gave my S/I, and Shiggo's quirk as well.
Sounds like someone attempting to coerce someone else into joining a ‘team’, only to finally open their heart to said person, and right then, that person they coerced gets hurt because they were joining that team? Idk, maybe you could replace that 'team' thing with the LOV? (Or the Paranormal liberation front?) Either way, sounds angsty, I'm in!
Aaravos:
Well, that's certainly not what I expected-
Okay, so what am I getting from this... Well, duality first of all, perhaps indecisiveness? So this is probably talking about me then, haha. Honestly from that context, this makes way more sense.
Newt Scamander:
Yeah, I feel like the lyrics on this one are pretty self-explanatory. Person the song is in pov of was in a bad relationship before and they’re scared to be open to their new lover.
Honestly, in the context of this involving Newt, it reminds me of this 'x reader fic' I came across at one point, that involved the reader coming home from fighting in WW2 and being severely affected by it. It was pretty good all things considered.
Prince Stolas:
Wait, isn't this song about being trans? Regardless, lyrics-wise sounds pretty accurate, to me at least, especially in the story I gave him with my S/I. Poor man didn't deserve all that hardship, he only has his daughter and his man and me, now.
Viktor (Arcane)
I swear to god, it was on shuffle, I promise- What a coincidence that it ended up being the awesome song from his own source! Though, that doesn't bode well for the relationship, I guess. Sounds like it'll be angsty, oh no. But then again, knowing who Viktor is, I suppose that's kind of a given.
I get vibes of 'everything is crumbling down around us, so let's spend these last few moments of normalcy together' from this match up. (Which should make sense with where Viktor ends up going in LOL lore.)
Rook Blonco:
I can't say I expected this one either. I also can't say I'm super clear on who in this dynamic would be the one who's pov this song is from here?
Obviously, more angst. The song is about changing yourself for someone you love, a theme we saw with Scarecrow as well. Hmm, there's a lot more angst here than I expected...
Vilkas (Skyrim):
Oh no. Vilkas, hun, don't say shit like this, you're breaking your husband's heart-
Bad snippet of the song since you can’t actually hear any lyrics, but yeah. Nothing like a little bit of ‘I don’t think they’d really love me’ to get the heart wrenching, right?
Anyway, though!
That's all the ones I'll do for now, trying to figure out how to embed stuff like this frustrated me, so- Yeah.

OUAT Thoughts Pt.2--Episodes 5-8
I have watched through S1E8; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for those further behind than I am.
—The episode where Jiminy Cricket and Henry get trapped in the mine is overall a lovely chunk of storytelling. I love the permeating concept that not everyone chooses to be good, but anyone can. I’m also extremely relieved that Jiminy is now free of the Evil Queen. —Rumplestiltskin is making me feel some kind of way. Doesn’t matter if he’s Rump or Mr. Gold. (Can’t quite tell if I’m in love with him or if I want to be him.) —Also, he’s really got his hands in everything. Like, the entire fairytale world is a big old mess of deals he’s made and people he owns. Outstanding. —How dare they give me slow burn and pining for Snow and Charming? They’re already married! *sobs on the floor* Can’t they get their happy ending already? —On a similar note, Ginnifer Goodwin is *super* pretty. She looks good in the white fairytale clothes and in the cardigans and flats she wears in the “real” world. And her ears are super cute. —More about Rump (I can’t help myself)—the way he calls people “dearie” just before he deals his way into their lives is such a Badguy Thing™. Also, his voice is beautiful. And the dramatic, flourishy hand gestures are perfect for his character. (I love when one of those sneaks into Mr. Gold’s body language.) —In case you couldn’t tell, I might be a little bit insufferable about Rumplestiltskin. —The twist with Prince Charming actually being the Prince’s twin brother who’s pretending to be the Prince was very unexpected. —Excuse me, I’m seven episodes in and someone has died???!!! What kind of show is this? —Ngl, I’m gonna miss Graham. He was an interesting guy…albeit only in the episode in which he died. The wolf stuff was awesome. —Giving Rump a tragic backstory, how dare they! Now I’m never going to want the heroes to win! —Really, though, that backstory is perfect. It makes sense with the person Rump is now, but it adds a little human character. Well done, well done. —I’m watching with my mom (yay!) so we’re playing our favorite first-watch games: “What Preposterous Direction Will The Story Take Us In Next?” And “Who Is That?” We both recognized Giancarlo Esposito in episode eight (from the Mandalorian).

Hello!! I was hoping for a platonic ship and a romantic ship if that’s alright?
I use she/they pronouns and go by Jean. I'm fair skinned with a(n annoying) natural blush and faint scatter of freckles over my cheeks, at a height of 5'2" with extremely wavy, brown hair that reaches a little past my shoulders with a single bleached blonde strand; I usually have it down or up in braided updo's. I have round hazel green eyes, typically blocked by my rounded gold wired-framed glasses (which I would be absolutely blind as a bat without them) and on occasion I'll wear mascara and/or lip gloss (the lip gloss is more common). I have one regular piercing with two cartilage hoops on my right ear, and three regular piercings on my left ear, and I'm typically never without my moonstone key necklace. My wardrobe definitely leans towards a dark academia/dark cottagecore vibe, with lots of button-ups, vests, cardigans & crocheted or thrifted sweaters, slacks, flowery dresses, blouses.
I tend to keep to myself the majority of the type unless someone catches my attention, or if someone that doesn't have an overwhelming presence strikes up a conversation with me. I'm kind of quiet at first, but once I've become close with someone, I'm very energetic/talkative and somewhat chaotic, and very physically and vocally affectionate. I get overwhelmed really easily and will quickly seek comfort from those I'm close with, mostly by me drawing or tracing my finger on the palm of their hand, or just hand-holding in general. I have a very sarcastic/smart-ass kind of humor; being a little shit is very fun, can confirm. I love gift-giving very much and am the type of person to randomly buy or make a gift for people I care about. I'm INFJ and a Capricorn. When I have free time, I tend to spend my time reading (my favorite books being mostly mysteries/thrillers or fantasy adventures), writing, drinking tea, napping, crocheting/embroidering/cross-stitching, baking, binge-watching my favorite shows (basically a lot of "old lady" hobbies lol), and while I typically like to be off on my own, I also really like at least being in the same room as my loved ones, we don't have to be doing anything together as long as we're both there. When I do want to do things with people, I love card games & board games, having deep conversations (literally my favorite thing), and writing/reading together, or even just watching a movie/show together. Also, I love car rides, but only when I'm not the one driving. When I do feel up to going out and about, I love libraries/book stores, thrift stores, and I really wish I could go to museums more often. I’m into acting and theatre, though considering working behind the scenes in script-writing. That was pretty long, I apologize 😅. I hope you have a good day!! <333
Hey :)
You seem really cool and to be honest we have same ' hobbies of old lady '
Platonic relationship - I couldn't decide between Mary and Marlene so I have this solution. You met Mary first time on train and you talked a lot. She was quite opposite of you, because she was confident with people she didn't know. When she got sorted in gryffindor you both started hanging out with Marlene and became besties. In nights you often sneak out of your bed and you go to Marlene's or Mary's bed. In fifth year you all joined Remus' studying group because of OWLs. You are also good friend with Marauders.
Romantic relationship - I think you and James would make awesome couple. He liked you since third year and was really loud about it. You first time went to date in fifth year, because you thought he's just joking and messing with you. He's absolutely romantic and he gives you little gift like he sees a pretty flower so he picks it up and gives it to you, if he's in shop without you he always buys you something. When you have birthday or it's valentine or you just something happened he throws big party for you but always end up leaving with you somewhere where is quieter and just you two. You are his angel, he loves how funny, caring and loving you are to people that matter to you. He also loves to play with your hair and he understands your problems with glasses. (I understand too because I'm blind without mine)
Hope you like this xxx

Holiday Cheer
Daryl Dixon x fem!Reader
Summary: After a night out, looking at the holiday lights, Daryl and Y/n finally confess their feelings. Daryl got attention, something he thought would never happen
Readers pronouns: She/her
Setting: Pre-apocalypse
Word Count: 3K (I got carried away)
Warnings: Profanity, mention of abuse
A/N: I just came back from looking at Christmas lights. I don’t celebrate Christmas but I feel like Daryl would if he could. This is based on Daryl being an artist and photographer headcanon! Also just please pretend phones in the 90’s were like flip phones. Part 2 of Snap Out Of It will come out soon:)
🍄Masterlist🍄  👾Requests👾
Tumblr media
Daryl never really got anything from anyone. No holiday gifts, no birthday gifts, no surprises, nothing. The only thing he has that he considers a gift is Y/n. She was always there for him, even when he showed her the bruises and scars he would receive after a beating. She wasn’t scared of him when she first moved into town years ago. She moved into town when they were both in grade 5. People warned her about the Dixon family and to not interact with the Dixon in her grade, but she didn’t listen. She thought that the shy Dixon was cute and not like the way people described him at all. And he wasn’t.
Y/n never got anything either. She was an only child. Her parents ignored her in every way. She tried to earn their love, but never won. Tried to get their attention even by getting her belly pierced, that never worked either (she later regretted that decision). She never received any gifts from her family. When she moved into the new town she became best friends with the younger and shy Dixon. She was amazing at calming Daryl down and even helping him with school when he needed it or wanted it. The whole school never paid attention to them, finding out Y/n befriended a Dixon immediately made her an outcast. She never cared about it because she thought Daryl was awesome.
They were now in their senior year of high school. Years later they were still friends, or so they considered themselves as that. They were both blind to the fact they had obvious feelings towards each other that kept growing throughout the years.
Tumblr media
It was that time of year again. Where people sing Christmas songs, have a big family reunion and eat a big dinner, and open many presents under the tree. The one thing that was the most beautiful about this time of year, were the lights. The houses and streets were all decorated with colourful Xmas lights. That’s what Y/n loved most about this time of year.
“This stupid ass skirt...dammit,” you mumbled to yourself as you grabbed the hem and pulled it down. “Of course they had to make me wear a damn skirt to volunteer in the fucking winter. My damn legs are freez-” you were cut off by your phone ringing. You grabbed your phone out of your cardigan pocket and looked at the caller ID. You smiled as you saw it was Daryl, probably calling you back from all the missed messages and calls you sent. You answered the phone, “Well hello there.” You giggled as you heard him huff at how you answered the phone. “Hi Y/n. What’s up? Is somethin’ wrong?” You smiled at yourself as you made your way into the store. “Nope. Nothings wrong. I just wanted to pitch an idea to you and maybe even complain to you.” You lowered your voice since you were now in a public building. You skipped the carts and just grabbed a basket. He laughed a little. “Oh yeah? Shoot the pitch then you can complain. I just came back from work.” “Oh forgot you were working! I’m so sorry. I won’t complain since you may want to relax. But here’s the idea. Okay, so...since it’s Christmas time and we both have a shitty family, how would you feel if you and I hang out tonight? We can sneak in to walk through the lights and I know this cool ass spot we can go after that oversees all the colourful lights! Plus we can jam out to anything and everything! Soooooo...you in, tough guy?”
You waited for a response as you walked to a certain aisle. “Oh...um yeah. That- that sounds cool. What time ya wanna meet?” You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. You felt relief wash over you. “Well considering we live a block away and sneak out a few nights to do shit, I’d sayyyyyy...the same time we always do buckaroo.” Another smile appeared on your face. You felt giddy, but you were in public so you had to calm yourself. “Ya seem extra happy today, sunshine. I’ll see you at 6 then.” You could feel the heat on your cheeks while he said the nickname that always made you nervous. You could picture the little smirk he was wearing. “Alrighty then. Bye bye!” “Bye.” You hung up the phone, placed it back in your pocket, and squealed silently. “Alright Y/n...now to get the surprise in action.”
You focused back on the main point of coming to this store. You needed to find a sketchbook, pencils, charcoal, and a camera. The things Daryl talked about. He got a hand-me-down camera from an old guy at his work, but he never had a real sketchbook and good supplies. You thought you could buy him these things and maybe make this year happy for him. His dad had been more rough on him mostly because he knows Daryl is gonna be gone as soon as he can. After Merle left, he had been taking more beatings. You wanted to punch his dad so hard, but Daryl stopped you when you would come close. That’s how Daryl ended up sleeping at your place most nights. Whether it’d be in your room on the spare mattress, the couch, or your parents room since they bailed on you a couple years ago in grade 10. They still paid the bills, but didn’t give two shits if you lived or not. But you liked it, you made it work. So to make up for everything Daryl has been through, you decided to make his one wish—that you can make happen—true.
“Okay...okay.” You pulled out a piece of paper the art teacher Daryl had written. You asked the teacher if he could tell you the supplies that were good and almost professional, but also affordable. You saved up your money from the past few months. You knew everything would cost a lot, but if it would make Daryl happy it would be worth it. “AH! Fucking finally!” You celebrated as you found the sketchbook, the charcoal, and many different styles of pencils. You added them to the basket and walked over to the cameras.
“Is there anything I can help you with ma’am?” You jumped, startled by the old lady that appeared out of nowhere. “Oh. Hi! I’m so sorry, you just startled me a little.” You laughed nervously, but calmed down as the lady laughed too. “But yes I’m looking for a camera...like a photography camera…”
Tumblr media
“$580?...$580?!” You said to yourself as you made it into your house. That was over half the money you saved. “Daryl better love the shit out of me AND use these things.” You said to yourself as you started wrapping the surprises up. You jammed out to your favourite artist on your record player. You really were hoping he would love them. These were his dream gifts anyway. “Oh shit! I need to put those cookies in the oven!!” You made cookies the night before and the recipe you use, tells you to put it in the fridge overnight.
As you came back from putting the gifts in your truck, the oven went off and your phone rang. You didn’t bother looking at the ID. It was 5:30 already. You needed to get the cookies out, while also answering the phone. “Hello?” You asked, your voice shaking a little. “Hey...Y/n is this a wrong time? You sound worried.” Of course he knew something was up. He could read you like a book...or well, in his case a motorcycle. “No! No, I’m fine! I’m just trying to change out of that damn skirt from earlier.” That wasn’t a complete lie. You were taking your skirt off to change with one hand while the other was working on placing the cookies on a platter. Daryl chuckled. “Right...that skirt you texted me abou’?” You chuckled a little. “Yessir. That’s the one. What’s up? Why’d you call? Not that I don’t mind though!” You made a mental note to slap yourself later for that. ‘Not that I don’t mind’? Way too eager. You hurriedly put some jeans on and went to change your top. “Can I come over to your place now? I don’t want to be home anymore.” He mumbled that last part. You sighed and frowned. “Yeah, of course. Come over.” He hung up when you said those last words and there was a knock. You hurried and put your top on and ran to the door. ‘Was he waiting out there?’ You thought to aloud. “You baking somethin’ in here? Smells good.” You giggled and let him in. “Baked cookies for tonight. Gotta have something when looking at the town!”
Tumblr media
“Thanks for the pizza D. You didn’t have to.” You smiled at him. “An’ you didn’t have ta bake cookies for later, but you did.” You rolled your eyes and giggled a bit. It was now 7:00. You two were now sneaking into where all the lights are. You found an opening where no one could spot you and could easily slip in. “Okay when I say go, we both go and run to the road. Got it?” You asked, looking at Daryl. “Of course I do, you know this ain’t my first time.” He smirked at you and you got lost in his eyes. You shook your head to focus back on the road. “Yeah yeah yeah. Alright annndddd...go!” You two sped walk onto the road where the lights were. You started to laugh when he tripped and bumped into your side. You tried to steady him and he just started laughing with you. You walked side by side looking at the beautiful lights.
As you two continued walking, you slowed down when the finishing lights were showing. Daryl stopped focusing on the lights and started focusing on you. He saw the way you looked at the lights. Your eyes sparkled like the lights.
Tumblr media
(picture of the lights I went to see)
“Ya know...ya look uh, ya look beautiful tonight. Ya seem happy.” Daryl stumbled over his words, nervous because he downright complimented you to your face. He always thought you were pretty, but was too nervous to ever say anything. Something in him encouraged him to say something. He saw the way you looked at him then looked down at the compliment. He saw you fidgeting with your fingers and let out a shaky breath. He was about to apologize before you spoke up. “Thanks. And um you look, you look really handsome tonight.” It wasn’t a lie. He was wearing jeans and had a cute tan long sleeve shirt. You guessed he stole it from a guy at work but you didn’t mind. It showed off his muscles. You saw the blush that was on Daryl’s cheeks. You smiled knowing you made THE Daryl Dixon blush. Since he was still blushing over the compliment, you took the opportunity and intertwined your hands together. You pulled him towards the bushes to leave this place. You needed to bring him on top of that hill to give him his stuff and look at the lights shutting off. “Y/n what are you doing?” He squeezed your hand as you started to jog. “Daryl, come on! We gotta get out of here to make it to our last spot.” You pulled him close as you two ran together. You let go of his hand and started running faster. You hear Daryl yelling your name, but you never slowed down. People you knew looked at the two of you, rolling their eyes. You didn’t mind though, neither did Daryl. As you were about to make it first to the truck, you didn’t hear Daryl catch up. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you towards him. He held you close and you could do nothing but laugh and scream “let go” over and over. He finally let you go and you slapped his chest. “Get in the damn car you dingus.”
Tumblr media
You put your truck in park and got out, motioning Daryl to do the same. You opened the trunk and hopped to sit down. You had blankets to keep you warm and pillows for laying down to look at the stars. Daryl looked at the view and then back to you. “How’d ya find this spot?” You shrugged and smirked at him. “That’s a secret I’ll never tell.” Daryl huffed at your answer. You patted the spot next you and Daryl sat down. You two just stared at the light for a while. The time was 8:30 and the lights shut off at 9:00. It was time to give him his surprise.
“Daryl?” You looked at him and he hummed in response. He broke his gaze from the town to you. “I got a surprise for you.” You said bluntly jumping off the trunk bed, and getting the surprises from the back seats. You grabbed the bag full of wrapped presents. Daryl had a confused look on his face. You jumped back up on the trunk bed and placed the bag on his lap. He just looked at you, still confused. “What is all this?” You gave him a warm smile, which melted his heart. “I got you presents. To make up for all the shitty days and to make sure you know I appreciate you a lot.” He looked down at the bag and shook his head. “Y/n-” before he could continue you stopped him. “Please just open the damn things! I’ve been waiting forever for this. Go on!” You started bouncing up and down and he chuckled.
He grabbed the smallest present first, it was a combination of two things. He opened it and it was all the different kinds of pencils and charcoal. He looked at you and you just motioned for him to continue. He grabbed another one and tore it open. When his eyes landed on the sketchbook he started to tear up a bit, but pushed them back.  “You...you got this for me?” He looked at you with a straight face and you smiled at him. You nodded eagerly. “Yes I did. Now if I remember correctly, you still have one more thing in there!” Daryl didn’t budge. “Y/n...this was...these things are a lot of money.” “Yeah? I know. Don’t mention it alright. Just please open the last one.” He hesitated but went for the last one.
A part of Daryl hated this, the attention he was getting. But he also loved it, because he now realized you were listening to him all this time. He took hold of the last one, it was heavier than the other ones. He looked at you and you were biting your nails. Daryl slowly unwrapped it and as soon as he was done unwrapping, he just stared at the present. It was the camera he always wanted. He looked at you, but couldn’t say anything. This time he couldn’t hold it back anymore and started to tear up. You just looked at him and frowned. “Oh...Daryl, if it isn’t the right one I can return it. Or if you don’t like it I ca-” you didn’t even get to finish. You were pulled into a hug. You were shocked at what was happening. Daryl buried his head in the crook of your neck and sobbed. His arms were wrapped around on your lower back. Before he could pull away, you wrapped your arms over his shoulders. You started to run your fingers through his hair, trying to calm him down. “Daryl, it’s okay. Hey, come on.”
After a moment he pulled away, his eyes were a bit red from crying. “Y/n this is too much. How did ya do this? I can’t take these.” You shook your head. “No. Daryl you WILL take these. These are your dream things and you need them! If you start doing these things, you can go to college with me! Daryl, you mean a lot to me. I care about you and listen to you.” You put a hand on his shoulder and he sighed. “I didn’t get ya anythin’.” You let out a laugh. “I don’t care. I made you cry tears of joy, that’s all that matters.” Daryl was staring at you now. You smiled at him.
‘This is the time.’ Daryl thought. He looked at your eyes then your lips. He laid a hand on your cheek, opposite of your hand that was on his shoulder. He leaned in and so did you. You both hesitated, but Daryl pulled you closer with his one hand on your cheek and kissed you passionately. It was short, but it felt like it lasted forever. ‘She tastes like cookies.’ Daryl thought. You both pulled away breathing, desperately, for air. You opened your eyes and saw Daryl looking at you. “I guess that was my gift ta ya.” You couldn’t help but laugh. You slapped his shoulder and pulled away further. “You just had to say that?” He joined you in your laughter.
After you two calmed down, Daryl took a hold of your hands. “Y/n...I love ya. Have since 8th grade.” You squeezed his hands. “I- I love you too. But for me it was since 7th grade. So I guess I won.” He rolled his eyes. “Always so damn competitive.” And with that, he brought you in for a short, sweet kiss. After you pulled away, Daryl spoke, “So...wanna complain about that “damned” skirt?” You smirked and went on a rant.
The night ended with you and Daryl laying in your bed. Daryl didn’t want to go home, so you let him stay at yours—like you always did. You two were cuddled together, sleep was taking over you. But before you could actually slip away for the night, you heard Daryl speak. “I love ya, sunshine.” You looked up at him and kissed his chin. “I love you, dingus.”

Tumblr media
Part 2.
Avengers x fem!reader
Pt.1
Words: 1892
Synopsis: This takes place in Avengers: Age of Ultron. When The Avengers were at the rock bottom, Nick Fury and advised by Maria Hill, to initiate the B.A.B.Y Protocol. Will a young, damaged and broke girl agree to this initiative and help a team to save this planet earth?
Main Masterlist
Maria and Fury bring you to The Avengers tower for mission briefing and meet the rest of the team. To be honest, you are beyond excited you see the building. You move from your seat to another, looking out of the window, facing the tower. Maria looks at you at the rear view mirror, seeing your awe face and smile. “If you open that window, I might’ve mistaken you with a dog.” You ignore her comment and ask them “Is this S.H.I.E.L.D? You guys work here? You build this place papa Bear? This is taller than I thought it would be!”
Tumblr media
Fury look at you and then Maria “Now she’s excited.” Maria answer your question. “That is Avengers tower. S.H.I.E.L.D no longer exist. Burn to the ground.” You didn’t keep up about them after left the agency so you don’t know what happened. “What happened? Did this moody papa Bear show his emotion through action?” You let out a small laugh until Fury annoyed “Once again you call my name other than Fury, I’ll burn you too.” “Nahh, you’re not going to burn me. You need me. Otherwise, I’m not in this car right now. I said to him and Maria drive through the parking basement. “She got you, boss.”
Fury walk ahead to their meeting room. You stop your track when you see an aquarium placed at the wall. You never see something like that before in your life. When Maria realize that you are not walking behind her, she turns back to get you. “What are you doing?” “Looking at these fish in an aquarium stuck on the wall. How they do that? How they going to feed the fish? Rich people shit, quite awesome.” You said and Maria just shake her head. “We have a world crisis and the first thing you did is watch the fish?! Are you kidding me? Let’s go meat the team.”
Meanwhile Fury already told the team about a new protocol or whatever. You didn’t hear that clearly until you are inside the room. Fury talk to them. “Since all of you are here, including Maximoff, I have a new protocol that you can use.” Steve looking confusing at Fury. “We already made a plan.” Tony interrupt to teasing Steve “Yeah and a good ted talk by the captain too.” Natasha asking about the protocol. “Do we know about the protocol?” Fury take a seat “No, Romanoff. No one knows about this protocol except Agent Hill. This protocol was created to help the team when in need, and this team clearly need it right now.” Steve ask him. “What protocol is that?” Natasha looking at Clint and he shrug. “B.A.B.Y PROTOCOL.” Tony just laugh while Steve have a serious face looking at him. “I’m sorry. That’s kinda funny name for a protocol.” Maria open the door and you both going in. All eyes on you and you feeling slightly nervous. How can you not, they are The Avengers! You recognize all of their face except one person wearing black dress and red cardigan.
Fury introduce you to the team. “Right on time. Avengers, I introduce you B.A.B.Y PROTOCOL, as in Best Associate By Yours truly.” Maria added “Also, we call her Baby.” They are quiet and shock appear in their faces except two people. Natasha and Clint. They go greet you. “Baby!” Natasha walks to hug you while Tony look at you two weird. “Nat! Omg, I miss you. Clint! Miss you too!” You hug Clint and he hold your head. “Well, she grows up.” “Yeah, with some food and water, I did. Man, you’re old.” You said to him and Natasha smile “Kids growing, Barton.” “Natasha, beautiful as always. You have to drop your skin care routine, sis.” Tony interrupt the moment “You both knew her? Fury, you said no one know about this protocol.” Fury nods. “I said no one know about this protocol not that Romanoff and Barton didn’t know her.”
Steve starts asking question. “How old are you?” Tony interject again. “Yeah. You don’t look like a baby to me.”
Tumblr media
You looking back at Steve, smirk on your face. “How old are you?” Maria sign you to behave. “Baby.” Tony sit down at one of the chair. “I like this kid already!” He earns a glare from Steve and you apologizing “I’m sorry. That’s not a good first impression. I’m 22.”
“What is your name?” Damn he is a serious one.
             “People call me Baby.”
“What people didn’t call you?”
“If they didn’t call me? Silence, I guess.” You whisper at Natasha left ear “Can I not tell them my name?” She crooks a little smile. “It’s up to you.” “I prefer being call by that name that Maria & Fury has told you or anything you want except my real name due to personal reason.” You nod and smile at them.
“Why? Dark past? Major criminal? Wanted by CIA? Interpol? MI6? Ugly name? Kicked out of family or something?” Seriously, how can they work as a team with a guy name Tony Stark? Maria, Natasha and Clint have your back.
“She’s here to help us. Nothing else, Stark.” Maria said to him.
Natasha glare at him. “I suggest you stop right there or you’re not going to see any sunlight.”
Clint agree with them. “Leave her alone man.” Tony look guilty. “Everybody in this room has dark past. I’m just curious, not judging. She’s not alone.” Wanda tell them that he told the truth. “He’s not lying.” “Thank you Wendy. Peace?” You walking toward him “No heart feeling.” You guys fist bump each other.
Steve ask again. “How do you know Barton and Romanoff?”
“While I was in S.H.I.E.L.D Academy, which I thought a Juvenile school at first, they trained me combat espionage. Since that’s the only thing on my expertise. I wish to have Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz brain though. They’re genius in bio-chem and engerneering.”
“Why you thought it was juvenile at first? You commit crime?”
“Duh.” Both you and Tony said it at the same time and again “JINX!” Natasha look at Steve. “Relax captain, all of us commit crime back then.” “I didn’t” Tony look at him. “Are you sure about that?” “What do you mean Stark?” Steve ask and he say “You literally cheated your medical checkup to join the army.” “I did it to protect our country.” Steve said and Clint chuckle “Still crime.” Fury tell Maria to handle the briefing and he’s out. You ask where is he going? “Where is he going?” “He have another thing to do Baby.”
“I know most of you but I don’t think I know or seen you, Mr. ?” You ask and Natasha introduce him. “That is Dr. Bruce Banner.”
You shake his hand. “Nice to meet you. What did you do?”
Bruce seems like to hesitate to answer that. “You didn’t know? New York?”
“Alien? Chitauri?” You ask him back innocently.
“Um. I’m, the big green guy.” He anxiously answers that.
“An ogre! Wow, that is so cool!” Clint hold my shoulder. “The other green, buddy.” “Oh, I know. I’m sorry, I forgot your ogre name is Shrek. Still cool though. I watch all of his movies when I was a kid. Maybe we can watch it again sometimes.”
Bruce look at Natasha and then back at you. “That’s, not me either, but yeah, we can watch that, big green cartoon sometimes.” Tony finally tell you who he is. “You seriously don’t remember who broke New York kid? He’s The Hulk!” Bruce looks down and tilt his head to look at Tony. “Yes. I’m that! Thank you for bringing back memory, Tony!”
You feel guilty for not remember that. “Gosh, I’m so sorry. But hey, New York already broken before you broke it. Can I have a selfie? You’re incredible.” You snap the picture before he even answers. Tony said something “I’m literally right here. The coolest guy in the group.” You turn your head to the girl in black dress, red cardigan. “And you are?”
She answers with a thick accent “Wanda Maximoff.”
“You’re not from here? You have an accent just like Nat. Well, once she’s mad at me during training years ago.” You remember the detail and Natasha rolls her eyes at you. “That is one time. I slipped.” “Human make mistakes sis. You aren’t machine.”
“I just got here yesterday. I made a mistake. Wrong judgement, I want to make it right. I join them.” She explains and you currently melting, just to hear he talk. You want her to talk more so you can hear her talk. Thing is, you didn’t know that she can read mind. Where is that accent came from? Russian? You ask those questions in your head. “From Sokovia.”
“Where are you from? What? I just ask-“
Maria answer my question. “She’s a telekinesis, energy manipulation and some kind of neuroelectric interfacing.” “Huh?” You don’t even know what that is and Maria make it simple for you. “Telepathic.” You turn to look back at her. “That is so awesome!” Tony huff at your statement. “Yeah, until she’s in your head.” She just looking down “I’m sorry.”
Right after she said that, Thor, God of Thunder walk into the room and tell about the scepter. You are amazed and suddenly you bend the knee. “Oh. My. God. You’re Thor!” He looks back at you. “and you tiny female human.” “You. Are. the God of Lightning! I am a fan! No. I’m an air-conditioner.” He smiling, feeling proud. “Thank you, tiny human lady. It’s God of Thunder, actually. What’s an air-conditioner?”
Maria gives us final brief. “You guys might want to prepare something for tomorrow. We’re flying to Korea and find Dr. Chow tomorrow morning. Get some rest, sleep early, you guys need it.”
You ask them a question. “Can I go back to my place, then come back? Clint can you take me?” “Yeah, I can.” Steve kind of not agree with you. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” “Why? I need to take my stuff.” “I can pick her up tomorrow.” You and Clint said and Steve ask you again. “Do you have a suit? or uniform?” You unzip your sweater and show your Donut Do It uniform. “Will, this do? Because someone decided that it was okay to give a surprise visit when I’m on my way to work.” Maria just smirking at you and Natasha smile “I don’t think that appropriate gear for the field.”
Tony offers you to stay with them at the tower. “Captain’s right. Don’t want to risk anything on the team member night before fight. Stay here, I’ve got plenty of room. Natasha can show you. They basically live here. We have spare shirts too.” You look at Wanda “You live here too?” She’s thinking about the answer. “I spend the night here.” Natasha turn you to look at her. “That’s a good idea. Just stay here tonight. Wanda’s here too.” “Natasha can show you your room, take a shower and dinner later.” Tony said. You look at Maria by the mention of dinner. She sighs “Okay, spaghetti and chicken wings.” Natasha add “And caramel pudding?” You smile at her “You remember?!” “Of course I do.” Clint jokingly say “How can she not, you guys practically sisters.”

In her unauthorized book, Lynette Rice explores the stories behind some of the ABC drama's biggest moments, including — in this exclusive excerpt — the factors that led to McDreamy's shocking death.
In How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey’s Anatomy, author Lynette Rice recounts the ABC medical drama’s eventful 16-year history, revealing new details behind some of the show’s biggest departures. Included in the unauthorized, 320-page oral history (St. Martin’s Press, Sept. 21, $29.99) is a chapter that offers new insight into leading man Patrick Dempsey’s shocking exit in season 11 of the Shonda Rhimes-created drama. In the chapter, Rice speaks with Dempsey’s co-stars and exec producers who were present during filming of his final days on Grey’s Anatomy, and reveals claims of “HR issues” that contributed to the death of his alter-ego, Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd.
“There were HR issues. It wasn’t sexual in any way. He sort of was terrorizing the set. Some cast members had all sorts of PTSD with him,” recalls exec producer James D. Parriott, who was brought back to the series to oversee Dempsey’s exit.
In more than 80 interviews with current and former cast- and crewmembers, Rice, an editor-at-large at Entertainment Weekly, also explores the show’s early days, recounts the thinking behind some of its more polarizing storylines and offers exclusive details about the show’s behind-the-scenes culture.
“After 17 seasons, fans still can’t get enough of Grey’s Anatomy,” Rice tells THR. But what went down behind the scenes was just as dramatic as what viewers saw every Thursday. I’m excited for fans to read what I learned about those early days, along with what it was like to work for Shonda Rhimes, and why the drama was so freakin’ headline-prone.”
Tumblr media
Below, The Hollywood Reporter shares an excerpt — the full eighth chapter — from How to Save a Life, and tune in Friday to TV’s Top 5 for an interview with Rice about her book and the other big reveals she uncovered in her reporting for it.
(Reps for ABC, ABC Signature, Shondaland, and Dempsey declined comment on the reveals in Rice’s book.)
“He’s Very Dreamy, but He’s Not the Sun,” Or, How Grey’s Anatomy Loved — Then Learned to Live Without — Patrick Dempsey Ellen Pompeo may have played the titular role, but for many fans over many years, Patrick Dempsey was the real draw to Grey’s Anatomy. Some of it had to do with his celebrity: Dempsey was the most famous member of the original cast at the time of the pilot and brought with him quite a cult following from his 1987 movie Can’t Buy Me Love. But a lot of it was due to the way Rhimes wrote her McDreamy and how Dempsey depicted him. James D. Parriott I would say, “The guy would never say that,” and Shonda would say, “He’s McDreamy. He’s the perfect man. He would say that.” I’d say, “Okay. It’s your show.” Eric Buchman Shonda had a very clear idea of how important it was to keep Derek as this almost idealized love interest, not just for Meredith but for the audience. Naturally, the writers—especially writers who had been working on one-hour dramas for a while—were like, “Well, maybe have McDreamy make a big mistake in surgery and kill somebody. Or he develops an addiction of some kind. What is his deep, dark secret?” Shonda was very insistent: that’s not the character we do that with. Even when you find out he’s married, that was done in a very sympathetic way that kept him being a hero. He was wronged by his spouse and in spite of it all he was still gonna give his marriage a second chance. Stacy McKee Shonda was protective of McDreamy, but it was really with an eye toward being protective of Meredith. I don’t think the two were separate from one another. I don’t think she wanted to put something out there that maybe on the surface might seem a little frivolous. At its core, there was something really substantial that she wanted to say. She wanted to be very specific about the type of relationship values that she put out there. Tony Phelan I was in editing with Shonda once, and it was the scene where Meredith and Derek had broken up. He comes over and she’s like, “I can’t remember the last time we kissed.” And he says, “I remember. You were wearing this and you smelled of this …”
Joan Rater “Your shampoo smelled like flowers, you had that sweater on …” He described their last kiss. Tony Phelan Typically in editing you start on Derek, then you cut to Meredith for a reaction, and then you’ll go back to him. I noticed that we weren’t ever cutting back to Meredith. I asked why. Shonda said, “Because the woman in Iowa who’s watching this show wants to believe that Patrick is talking to her, and if you cut back to Meredith, it pushes them out of it.” In those special moments, we would just lock into Derek and let him do his thing. Joan Rater And he was a master at it. Patrick Dempsey He’s the ideal man, and that’s what Shonda constructed. There’s a projection [of him] onto me when you come in contact with fans, certainly with the younger and older fans. There is a certain amount of expectation. There is a responsibility to it. It made me grow, too. There were good qualities [of his] that you work on to obtain. Off camera, Dempsey was equally as charismatic to his fellow actors, crew members, and anyone who would come to visit the set. Lauren Stamile I was going in to meet him, and I remember I had this little cardigan sweater on and I took it off before I got into the room. Dempsey is one of those people—it’s almost like there’s a light shining around his body, and you feel like you’re the only person in the room. I got so hot and I remember saying, “Gosh, I would take off my sweater if I had one on because I’m so hot, but I took it off.” I was just babbling. He said, “You look nice,” and I said, “You look nicer.” I felt so awkward and he was so gracious and lovely. I was having a nervous breakdown. It’s like this “it” factor. I was like, God, whatever he has, I wish I had. I think it was very obvious how nervous I was, and he went out of his way to make sure he introduced me to everybody and made sure I felt comfortable, which he certainly didn’t have to do. But he did. Joan Rater He knew I had a giant crush on him, and he loved it. And when we’d go to table reads—I was an actress at one point in my life—they would always give me Meredith if Ellen wasn’t there. And I’d be getting my chicken tenders at craft services before the table read and he’d come up behind me and say, “Are you reading Meredith?” in my ear, like, so sexy. I’d be like, Oh my God. I mean, I could barely … I could not look at him. Tina Majorino I worked with Patrick a ton. I love him so much. We had a really great time working together. I think he’s such a great actor and he really made me laugh a lot. I feel like we had a good dynamic in scenes together, and it was always fun to play opposite him. Yes, he’s that charismatic in real life. Yes, his hair is that awesome. Yes, he is dreamy up close.
Chandra Wilson Patrick Dempsey will forever be known as Grey’s Anatomy’s McDreamy. Derek Shepherd is a permanent part of television history.
Norman Leavitt He is a big, personable guy.
Jeannine Renshaw We all love Patrick. Patrick is a sweetheart. If I saw him on the street, I’d give him a hug. I love the guy.
Mark Wilding I’ve always had a soft spot for Patrick. He really does try to do the right thing. Brooke Smith, who played Dr. Erica Hahn, remembers how Dempsey defended her when the decision was made to fire her from the show in 2008. Brooke Smith I remember calling him and saying, “Oh my God, they said they can’t write for me anymore, so I guess I’m leaving.” And he was like, “What are you talking about? You’re the only one they’re writing for.” Which at that time, it kind of did feel that way. But I guess someone didn’t like that. They gave me a statement [to release, about her departure] and I never said it. Patrick said that he actually took it out of his jacket on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and read the statement. He won’t let me forget it. He was like, “I defended you, see?” And it was true.
By season eleven, however, fans saw a disturbing break in MerDer’s once unbreakable bond. Six episodes had gone by without a peep from Derek, who was supposedly in Washington, D.C., where he had apparently made out with a research fellow. Fans began threatening to bolt if their hero didn’t return soon to Seattle. “I have never missed one episode,” wrote a fan on Dempsey’s Facebook page. “But I swear if [Rhimes] kills you off I’m done.” But there was a critical reason for Derek’s strange absence: behind the scenes, there was talk of Dempsey’s diva-like fits and tension between him and Pompeo. To help manage the explosive situation, executive producer James D. Parriott was brought back in to serve as a veritable Dempsey whisperer.
Patrick Dempsey [That] was the first year that I haven’t been in every episode. I [was] in every episode since the pilot— close to 250 episodes. That [was a] huge run. James D. Parriott Shonda needed an OG to come in as sort of a showrunner for fourteen episodes. There were HR issues. It wasn’t sexual in any way. He sort of was terrorizing the set. Some cast members had all sorts of PTSD with him. He had this hold on the set where he knew he could stop production and scare people. The network and studio came down and we had sessions with them. I think he was just done with the show. He didn’t like the inconvenience of coming in every day and working. He and Shonda were at each other’s throats.
Jeannine Renshaw There were times where Ellen was frustrated with Patrick and she would get angry that he wasn’t working as much. She was very big on having things be fair. She just didn’t like that Patrick would complain that “I’m here too late” or “I’ve been here too long” when she had twice as many scenes in the episode as he did. When I brought it up to Patrick, I would say, “Look around you. These people have been here since six thirty a.m.” He would go, “Oh, yeah.” He would get it. It’s just that actors tend to see things from their own perspective. He’s like a kid. He’s so high energy and would go, “What’s happening next?” He literally goes out of his skin, sitting and waiting. He wants to be out driving his race car or doing something fun. He’s the kid in class who wants to go to recess.
Patrick Dempsey It’s ten months, fifteen hours a day. You never know your schedule, so your kid asks you, “What are you doing on Monday?” And you go, “I don’t know,” because I don’t know my schedule. Doing that for eleven years is challenging. But you have to be grateful, because you’re well compensated, so you can’t really complain because you don’t really have a right. You don’t have control over your schedule. So, you have to just be flexible.
Longtime Crew Member Poor Patrick. I’m not defending his schtick. I like him, but he was the Lone Ranger. All of these actresses were getting all this power. All the rogue actresses would go running to Shonda and say, “Hey, Patrick’s doing this. Patrick’s late for work. He’s a nightmare.” He was just shut out in the cold. His behavior wasn’t the greatest, but he had nowhere to go. He was so miserable. He had no one to talk to. When Sandra left, I remember him telling me, “I should’ve left then, but I stayed on because they showed me all this money. They just were dumping money on me.”
Patrick Dempsey It [was] hard to say no to that kind of money. How do you say no to that? It’s remarkable to be a working actor, and then on top of that to be on a show that’s visible. And then on top of that to be on a phenomenal show that’s known around the world, and play a character who is beloved around the world. It’s very heady. It [was] a lot to process, and not wanting to let that go, because you never know whether you will work again and have success again.
Jeannine Renshaw A lot of the complaining … I think Shonda finally witnessed it herself, and that was the final straw. Shonda had to say to the network, “If he doesn’t go, I go.” Nobody wanted him to leave, because he was the show. Him and Ellen. Patrick is a sweetheart. It messes you up, this business.
James D. Parriott I vaguely recall something like that, but I can’t be sure. It would have happened right toward the end, because I know they were negotiating and negotiating, trying to figure out what to do. We had three different scenarios that we actually had to break because we didn’t know until I think about three days before he came back to set which one we were going to go with. We didn’t know if he was going to be able to negotiate his way out of it. We had a whole story line where we were going to keep him in Washington, D.C., so we could separate him from the rest of the show. He would not have to work with Ellen again. Then we had the one where he comes back, doesn’t die, and we figure out what Derek’s relationship with Meredith would be. Then there was the one we did. It was kind of crazy. We didn’t know if he was going to be able to negotiate his way out of it. It was ultimately decided that just bringing him back was going to be too hard on the other actors. The studio just said it was going to be more trouble than it was worth and decided to move on.
Stacy McKee I don’t think there was any way to exit him without him dying. He and Meredith were such an incredibly bonded couple at that point. It would be completely out of character if he left his kids. There was no exit that would honor that character other than if he were to die. Patrick Dempsey I don’t remember the date [I got the news]. It was not in the fall. Maybe February or March. It was just a natural progression. And the way everything was unfolding in a very organic way, it was like, “Okay! This is obviously the right time.” Things happened very quickly. We were like, “Oh, this is where it’s going to go.”
So that was that: McDreamy would die in episode twenty-one of season eleven, even though Dempsey was in year one of his recently signed two-year contract extension. Rhimes wrote a script that was befitting of her lead’s heroic persona: she began “How to Save a Life” by having Derek witness a car crash and helping the injured. Once it appeared everyone was out of harm’s way, Derek continues on his road trip but is suddenly broadsided by a truck.
Rob Hardy (Director) The paramedics leave. He’s there by himself. He’s having a moment. The nice music is playing, and all of a sudden, bang. It comes out of nowhere, which, you know, is how accidents happen. So as opposed to watching it as a viewer, we saw the accident happen through Derek’s perspective. Derek ends up at Dillard Medical Center, a hospital far from Grey Sloan and the talented doctors who work there. His eyes are open, but his brain is severely damaged. No one hears his plea for a CT scan; he can’t speak. To help keep the episode a secret, the scenes were shot in an abandoned hospital in Hawthorne, California, about twenty-two miles from the show’s home studio in Los Feliz.
Mimi Melgaard It was really hard on all of us because it was so secretive and we had so many different locations. We shot at this closed-down hospital that was absolutely creepy haunted. All the scenes there were so sad anyway, and in this yucky-feeling haunted hospital? It was really weird. His whole last episode was really tough. Patrick Dempsey It was like any other day. It was just another workday. There was still too much going on. You’re in the midst of it—you’re not really processing it. Rob Hardy Here’s a guy who’s immobile. Now you’re inside of his head. We were trying to make that feel scary from the perspective of a person who’s used to being in control, from a person who usually has the power of life and death in his own hands. But now he doesn’t have the ability to speak on his own behalf.
Samantha Sloyan When I went to audition, I didn’t recognize any of these doctors’ names. I assumed they were just dummy sides so people wouldn’t ruin the story line or anything like that. All we knew is that we were dealing with a man who’s been in a car accident. I had no idea that it was going to be Derek. I just figured I was going to be a guest doctor and that whoever this person was who was injured, was going to be just a character on the show. Once it became clear what we were working on, I was like, Oh, my gosh. I can’t believe this is the episode I’m on.
Mike McColl (Dr. Paul Castello) I signed an NDA before they would release the script to me. I was reading it in my house, and I was like, “Oh, my God.” I didn’t tell anyone, including my agents. I just said, “This is a really great booking. It’s a great role on Grey’s.” And they didn’t know anything until it aired.
Savannah Paige Rae (Winnie) The first scene I shot was actually the sentimental scene when I’m saying, “It’s a beautiful day to save lives, right?” I’m in the hospital room with Derek and talking to him. Even though I never watched the show, I recognized the value of the episode I was in and just really took it to heart. It was so special that I got to be a part of it.
Rob Hardy [Patrick] had a lot of emotions during the whole shoot, which evolved. I think when we first started, he was very calm and cool … the same Patrick that I remembered when I worked on the show a year or so before. With each passing day, he was a lot more emotional. A lot more was on his mind, and that would show itself in different ways. The finality of the episode and for his character was setting in. You’ve become a global icon on this show and then in five, four, three, two, a day … it’s over.
James D. Parriott Patrick was very cooperative and good.
Mike McColl When I met Patrick, he’s lying on a stretcher and we’re rushing him into the ER. I just introduced myself, shook his hand, and was like, “Man, I cannot tell you what an honor it is to be the guy to take you down.” He loved it. He could not have been nicer to me and was funny through the whole shoot. He was on the table in front of me there when I cut his chest open and all that stuff. He gave me a hug at the end. It was a real privilege to be a part of TV history in that way.
Samantha Sloyan I remember him being incredibly kind. They had his neck in a brace, and he’s strapped down to the board, so there wasn’t a ton of chatting. I remember him being really kind, but it was clearly intense for him.
Stacy McKee It was such a beautiful piece of storytelling. I knew this event was going to be a really sad, horrible event for Meredith, but I also knew it was going to be the beginning of such an incredible chapter for Meredith.
Dempsey completed his final hours of shooting on a rainy night. There was no goodbye party, no goodbye cake. Maybe that’s because some cast members were left out of the loop. James Pickens, Jr., told ABC News that the cast “didn’t know a whole lot. It was kind of on the fly. So whatever information we got, we pretty much got it kind of right before it happened.”
Caterina Scorsone (Dr. Amelia Shepherd) I didn’t get to say goodbye to Patrick when he left. I do think that helped, because I’ve been using the character of Derek in my internal landscape since Private Practice. Derek was the stability in Amelia’s life. He became a father figure after they watched robbers shoot their father. When he was suddenly gone from the show, we didn’t have that closure, so I got to play it out. She’s about to use drugs again before Owen confronts her in a way that she finally talks about her feelings about losing Derek. She doesn’t end up using.
James D. Parriott The day he left, that was my last day. There was a certain sadness to it, but I think he was relieved. I mean, I think it took a toll on him, too.
Rob Hardy I didn’t see other actors showing up and saying, “Hey, it’s the last day! Wanted to come and wish you well.” I didn’t get that. It was more the Patrick show. We were in the Patrick world, and then Ellen came, and there was definitely a lot of emotion that both of them had individually … not necessarily together. It was more so her being there on the day that he died. He had his own way of being with that, and the same thing with her. It was like two people who grew up together and … here we are. They had their own way of reflecting.
Patrick Dempsey I very quietly left. It was beautiful. It was raining, which was really touching. I got in my Panamera, got in rush-hour traffic, and two hours later I was home. Big news like this doesn’t stay quiet for long. Both Michael Ausiello—who left EW in 2010 to launch the news site TVLine—and Lesley Goldberg of The Hollywood Reporter learned two weeks prior to Dempsey’s final episode that he would be leaving the show. No reporter worth their salt wants to sit on a scoop—least of all one as huge as this—but Ausiello and Goldberg didn’t want to spoil the outcome for fans, so they agreed to hold the story until after the episode aired. I eventually found out, too, but in the nuttiest way imaginable: I was standing on the set of CSI: Cyber, watching Patricia Arquette talk about some droll techno-criminal. Unfortunately, the publicist also cc’d Dempsey’s manager and ABC publicist while trying to give me a major story, so I couldn’t immediately report the scoop. But I did use the information to successfully negotiate the one and only exit interview with Dempsey. Two weeks before his final episode, I met him and his publicist at Feed Body & Soul in Venice, California, for a story that would hit newsstands on April 24. He seemed a little shell-shocked and at one point choked up, but at the time he said nothing about how his on-set behavior may have contributed to his ouster. My editor, Henry Goldblatt, wanted to put him on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, but he couldn’t guarantee to ABC that no one would see it before the episode aired. Good thing we didn’t: some subscribers got the issue on the morning of Dempsey’s final episode— and one actually tweeted the story. Our PR department tried to get the tweets removed, but the cat was out of the bag: some fans found out early that McDreamy was about to be McHistory. Outlets like Variety reported how the story got out early, while our PR department released this statement: “We are surprised that an EW subscriber may have received their issue a day earlier than planned. We always try our best to bring readers exclusive news first. We would like to apologize to fans of the show that learned the news ahead of time.” Dempsey’s final episode was watched by 8.83 million viewers—the show’s largest audience since the premiere that season. Variety even pontificated whether the ratings boost was due to my exclusive with Dempsey.
Lesley Goldberg (The Hollywood Reporter) I’m used to working with networks to hold news as part of their efforts to guard against plot spoilers. But the way Patrick Dempsey’s exit was handled involved a layer of paranoia and secrecy that has been unlike anything I’ve seen in my reporting career. News that he was leaving, and his character being killed off, would have been a major story considering how big the show is domestically and internationally. However, it also would have meant spoiling the episode and, more important, damaging key relationships I’ve worked hard to build. At some point, publishing the news of Dempsey’s exit before the episode aired became an ethical question of what was more important—a big story and its subsequent traffic, which would have come no matter what, or the relationships and trust that it took years to craft. Ultimately, I still published early because EW subscribers received the issue with Lynette’s Dempsey interview before the episode aired.
Mike McColl The morning after Derek’s last episode aired, my daughter sent me a link that was on YouTube or Facebook or something. I actually pulled it up to look at it, and it was a Grey’s Anatomy showbiz cheat sheet. It asked the question “Who is the attending doctor who killed Derek ‘McDreamy’ Shepherd?” It included a photo that I posted from the set. I had on a bloody rubber glove and was in my scrubs and mask. I never obviously would have posted this before it aired. I posted it well after the episode aired, and I [captioned it] “McDeadly.” This writer said something like, “Kill McDeadly.” Maybe that’s why the producer didn’t choose a big-name actor to be the one who killed our beloved McDreamy! I want to be ultrasensitive to these hard-core fans because it means so much to them, and I certainly didn’t mean in that case to make light of it. It’s just, I’m an actor, and I recognize it for what it is. Is everybody clear on the fact that this is just pretend and Patrick knew he was going to be leaving the show? It was just like, “God. He’s okay. He really is okay.”
Peter Horton Derek was going to be there forever with Meredith because you went through a whole journey with them. That was incredibly fulfilling. So even if he’s not there, he’s there. I don’t think any of us really worried about that going away because by then you were so invested in it. The show can last as it has for years.
Patrick Dempsey Lots of people [miss him]. “It’s good to see you alive” is the comment I get. I’m like, “Yes, I’m very much alive in reruns.” People were really invested in that relationship. I knew it would be heavy. Very happy to have moved on with a different chapter in my life.
Samantha Sloyan The montage just killed me, when Meredith says, “It’s okay, you can go.” God, I’m getting choked up just thinking about it. The chemistry they have as a pair and the way they were able to build that and sustain it! So many of these relationships are, like, “Will they, won’t they,” and then it wears thin. They sustained it for the duration of their relationship on the show, and it’s just, I think, a testament to what those two created. It was just unbelievable.
Pompeo addressed Dempsey’s departure with a tweet that focused solely on his character, not on how she spent eleven years working side by side with him: “There are so many people out there who have suffered tremendous loss and tragedy. Husbands and wives of soldiers, victims of senseless violence, and parents who have lost children. People who get up every day and do what feels like is the impossible. So it is for these people and in the spirit of resilance [sic] I am honored and excited to tell the story of how Meredith goes on in the face of what feels like the impossible.” Meanwhile, fans futilely created a Change.org petition to reinstate McDempsey, while other, more desperate ones simply tweeted “We Hate You” to Rhimes.
Shonda Rhimes Derek Shepherd is and will always be an incredibly important character—for Meredith, for me, and for the fans. I absolutely never imagined saying goodbye to our McDreamy. Patrick Dempsey’s performance shaped Derek in a way that I know we both hope became a meaningful example— happy, sad, romantic, painful, and always true—of what young women should demand from modern love. His loss will be felt by all.
Talk about the mother (father?) of all postscripts: In November of 2020 Dempsey reprised his role as McDreamy in the season opener—but only in Meredith’s dreams. Stricken with COVID-19, an unconscious Meredith “imagined” reuniting with her husband on the beach. After talking exclusively to Deadline and saying how it was “really a very healing process, and really rewarding,” Dempsey would return for more beach-based episodes that would ultimately stand out as the best moments of season seventeen. “It was a second chance thing,” one ABC executive told me at the time. “Shonda likes a comeback. Also, they wanted him in their last season.”

Harry did a little video (in that cute cardigan and hat hair from his outfit the day before yesterday- a whole ass work day all around) saying thank you for his win at the Junos (Canadian Music Awards), where Fine Line got Best International Album, and he liked a post by Dylan Jones (journalist, GQ) congratulating Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet, uncle to Roman Kemp) on a new album. Gary Kemp’s new single features Queen’s Roger Taylor- and a video by Charlie Lightening, who has made an upcoming documentary with him as well about the making of the album. HUH, just like someone else we know hmm?
A spa in Redditch announced “the world’s first Harry Styles themed spa day”, with a heavy emphasis on watermelons to make it Harry themed. For a mere £72 you get to smell a Harry scented “Breathe Me In” candle with his face on it (only the first 15 people get to keep one though), eat a lunch with no olives or beets (“Harry apparently hates those”) and enjoy some not really all that themed facials and stuff with a non-stop Harry soundtrack throughout. They miss the opportunity to point out that Harry was born in Redditch, but advertise a line of Harry scented products with his face on them coming soon; is that legal? Guess we’ll find out! And Harry’s convicted stalker, Pablo Tarazaga-Orero, was charged with violating the terms of his sentence last year for posting about One Direction, but that charge was dropped yesterday. (blah blah joke about ‘if posting about 1D is a crime’, except this guy actually scared Harry and is mentally ill and the whole thing isn’t funny at all so… no.)
Louis posted simply a picture of the logo on his vintage England jersey (no not the one he was wearing yesterday, a different one), on the face of it just his way of cheering on the national team as the European Championship games gear up to begin but as it turns out also the lead in to a sponcon post, and as Soccer Aid geared up for a big announcement about this year’s lineup, they liked and commented on a tweet about when Louis (and Niall) played in 2016, getting people’s hopes way up; yes please! But whether or not that football fantasy comes to pass, Louis has invited us to play Fantasy Football with him (user Louist28), posting a link and code for his Euro FF league (‘England to Win the Euros’). Go Louis, cultivating the ‘grown men who run outside to see him’ demographic AND getting that coin! Also producer team SuperHi commented on their post about being in the studio with him last week- “Louis was amazing to work with-- a true gent and talent. And his fans are awesome”, I mean tell us something we don’t already know.
