I've seen other people write their own experiences with being aroace, and that inspired me to write my own 🙏 I'm not typically a writer, so I apologize if this is disorganized.

When I was pretty young, I had a best friend who was also a guy, so people just assumed we were dating. And I guess that convinced us we had to date because we thought that's what boys and girls who were close were supposed to do?? Looking back, that mentality is very stupid, but I was also a child 💀. Skip a few days, we kissed, and I didn't feel anything!! 🤗 I literally scrubbed my lips after, and if that doesn't say anything, idk what does LMAO

A couple of years later, I thought I was bi because out of nowhere, girls were more appealing to me than before. I identified as bi up until 13 years old, when I realized I wasn't attracted to boys at all, so I told myself I was a lesbian. That only lasted for about a year and a half because I was confused again. I was unlabeled/confused for a while too, until I started accepting that I'm aroace. Through it all, I knew I was asexual but I was also sort of in denial.

It didn't help that whenever people asked who I had a crush on, I always said "nobody" and people's response to that was "you're lying" what. who are you to tell me that?? 🤨🤨 I've never had a crush on anybody, and from the looks of it, I probably never will. I hate that whenever I explain my thoughts to someone, they act like they understand and then somehow completely forget or disregard what I've told them. I think that's been the most frustrating thing, not having anyone who understands or at least listens to me.

Some aroaces have been content with that they've felt this way since they realized that's what they were. I, however, have felt like something was wrong with me because other people made me feel that way. I thought I was missing out or something, so I tried convincing myself to have crushes on people because that's what Im supposed to do, right? no, dumbass, it's not!! Crushes come naturally, and my ass didn't realize that/was in denial. 13 years old, I convinced myself that I had a crush on this girl, and I asked her out. She said yes, then not even a day later, I thought I should break up with her because I didn't feel anything like I thought I did. After a couple of weeks, she broke up with me, and I forgot exactly why, but I was entirely content with it.

The attraction that I do have, though, is aesthetic attraction. I definitely think some people are nice to look at, but I wouldn't date them or do other things that aren't solely platonic. I didn't know aesthetic attraction had a label until very recently (that would've helped me realize my identity a lot sooner 💀) Last year I thought a guy in my class was attractive and I got nervous around him because he intimidated me so I thought I had a crush on him. I didn't 😁. I just thought he looked really cute. It was kind of a letdown, but I didn't stress over it after I realized it. If anything, I saw it coming.

What made me realize I was aroace was the question: "Would you date this person or do sexual things with them?" It's always no. "Would you hold hands with or maybe kiss them?" Hell yeah!! As long as it's platonic. The thought of being in a romantic or sexual relationship is unappealing to me. Romantic/sexual relationships feel forced, and there are certain rules you have to follow to stay together (at least it appears that way), but in platonic relationships, the only rule is human decency. I've always valued platonic relationships more, and I wish other people did too.

hello ! unfortunately if he's a serial killer is not one of my priorities right now ! 🥺 to be honest with you, when i started that fic, there wasn't any part two even planned and it wasn't until i actually got down to writing the ending that i decided to have reader live. when it was just a thought swirling in my head, i always imagined her not making it, but when it came time to write it out, i just couldn't ! and the response i got from the fic was so wonderful and i figured i had more i could write for them, and so i continued it. all this to say — there was never a plan for serial killer to be a multi-chaptered, chronological, continuous story; i just eventually had more little thoughts about them and decided to tack them on, and i still have more to add, one day.

i also want to say that serial killer was the second fic i ever wrote on this account, and at the time i hadn't read much for dabi or had ever written for him, so that story was a lot of discovery (my ability to write in second pov, who this character is, what kind of romantic partner he would need, etc.) and some things have simply — changed. it might not be noticeable to anyone reading, but that dabi feels like a different one compared to who i write now, if that makes any sense, and so it honestly is a little difficult to go back to that characterization ?? like it's still him, but to me, his motivations and desires are a little different. pleased to meet you is one of my priorities, and it's also meant to be a what-happens-next fic, and so therefore that dabi is different naturally, just due to the nature of what that story is meant to say. that's honestly why i've stayed away from serial killer a little bit !! because i feel like i'm writing two different characterizations of the same person, and it's a little wonky on my brain !

i do have more parts planned for it, half-written already — but i can't give you a timeline on when those will come out, for the reasons i listed above. sometimes i get bouts of inspiration and want to go back to them, but it isn't all the time, so i won't promise anything. i'm also admittedly in this weird funk with my writing that i'm slowly working my way out of. it's like, when i sit down to just try, i get this overwhelming sense of embarrassment. like what exactly do you think you're doing right now 🤨🤨 what makes you think this is decent enough to share 🤨🤨 idk. i think i'm finding my way out of it, but — we shall see !

I've always thought aspen trees are super pretty but also extremely unsettling with the way their trunks look like they're covered in eyes. I knew I wanted the forest to be an aspen forest bc of how gorgeous aspen forests look in the fall with the contrast of the bright orange leaves and the white trunks, and I thought the eyes in the bark just lended itself super well to the idea of the trees 'watching' everyone around them

I did not want to wake up at all from my dreams last night and when I did, I kept trying to go back to the same dreams since they were so good I didn’t want them to stop. It felt like I was in the Nana anime or something it was amazing.

First dream - all I can remember is that I was at a Boy Harsher/ Ultra Sunn/ Brutalismus 3000 show at this little venue in Japan called Garbage or Garage (can’t remember) and somehow I ended up next to Pete Davidson haha I was like no way wtff is that Pete !!! Instant heart eyes, I was totally tripping out. The band playing was beefing on stage for some reason idk but it gave me a chance to talk and hang out.

He had cornrows and was wearing an orange hoodie (so cute) and there was some girl I was hanging out with in between us, so I was about to ask her to switch spots with me so I could be next to him but then he just moved her out of the way and got right next to meee and was all over me and flirting. I was cheesing so hard lol. I asked him if he was there to see the bands play and he was like of course why else and joking around and then he got right behind me so I was standing between him and this barricade and we watched the show like that with him holding me from behind with his arms around me 🥹 then he kissed me and we made out while the music played and I was soooo happy. And then I woke up 💔🥲

I was in another dream but still in Japan. (Pete was gone 😭) Waiting at some subway station or train station for the train to go back home or whatever, and there were all these crane games n machines like an arcade so I was trying to find some coins to play in my bag so I could win a care bear while I waited. The machine I wanted to play wasn’t on so I tried getting it to work, banging it and stuff and this guy standing near me helped me.

I couldn’t find my wallet so I turned to him and asked if he had any coins, I lost mine at the show and he said no sorry 😀 but I’m the manager of Garage (the venue from the show in my last dream) and told me he could take me back there later and help me find my purse.

I asked like how can someone so young be a manager 🤨 and he just smiled. Then next thing I knew we’re holding hands and walking towards the movie theatre to watch some random movie idk. So weird but he was really cute and tall and I was like whatever take me anywhere idc 😀

He bought our tickets to the movie and was talking to the concession stand lady in Japanese what we wanted for snacks, and was standing behind me being all cute and boyfriend like, giving me kisses and all kinds of pda. He ordered us some random beef which was really weird looking then I heard some of the cleaning ladies near us that were sweeping speak Spanish and I was like whoa, I didn’t expect to hear Spanish here in Japan.

Then I woke up 🥲💔

I tried going back to the dream but at that point I had to wake up in like 30 min for work so the dream didn’t feel as natural and felt more forced and I can’t remember much but I feel all warm and fuzzy thinking bout how I met and made out with PD in my dreams and some random Japanese guy lmao.

I always wonder what my dreams mean, especially when it feels like a movie like last night. They probably mean nothing but I’ve always had very vivid and movie like dreams.

I haven’t had nice dreams like that in awhile.

if you ask me, i think cis alpha women can also have dicks and cis omega guys can have wombs. sex isnt just decided based off genitals, so they could still have internal sex organs, secondary sex characteristics like fat distribution or having breasts, and hormone levels that dont fit into "typical" androsex ideas of what a man or woman is. there are also many different ways that people can have both set of sex organs. they are rarely both fully formed, but its a fake universe where people have fantasy world characteristics so who cares!!
