oh i loved inside job season two

some thoughts

i love how much brett values his friendship with reagan from being ecstatic to meeting her boyfriend to going above and beyond for her throughout the whole season starting with helping her to Anon Anon to taking over for the day

seriously he loves her so much theyre best friends he says everytime they pair back up practically that they're friends and he loves her platonically

i was so uuughhhhh about ron but he was actually so likable and surprisingly really good for reagan both as a romantic partner and as a friend.

he was so nice and really tried to make it work with her and i was really surprised at how on their side i was by the end of the season

which i didnt think at all would happen

myc's assholeness actually being a natural stop to the takeover of a species of mushroon hivemind clusters was a funny turn on him being such an ass

i really love how reagan respects/ likes Gigi enough to tell her all her 'girl drama' and ask for her advice

i love when reagan said she had a 'coping mechanism' everyone on her team cheered for her finally getting laid

i love how the team genuinely cares for each other, theyre actually good at their jobs, and they actually know how to help reagan when she needs it

One of the many, many things I loved about "Big Week" was this: the first person Ted asks out on a date is Sassy. There's been a whole lot of drivel from fandom about how Sassy is awful for sleeping with Ted even at times when he's feeling sad, as if it's manipulative or unethical — which is such a goddamn 9th-grader view of how sex among actual adults work — but this episode shows very clearly that Ted is an eager, not to say instigating, participant in their sex-nanigans.

And thanks in part to Sassy, Ted's finally, FINALLY starting to think about dating. In the second season, he makes a comment about "wouldn't it be great if I found my soulmate on Bantr?" but as far as canon has shown, he never even made an account. But I think Michelle having a boyfriend has prompted Ted to look around in earnest. Not, I think, out of a "I'll show her" mentality (a trap that far too many divorced men fall into), but because he's actually thinking about what he wants the rest of his life to look like, now that Michelle will not be sharing it.

I don't think Ted is necessarily thinking about sharing a life with Sassy, either. We know Ted is a romantic, and he likely wouldn't ask anyone out just for shits and giggles; but he's also been friends with serial dater Beard for decades, and has been around soccer and football players to boot. He understands the concept of casual dating, and it's very possible that he would've been fine with casually dating Sassy.

But he's also ready to go further with her if that's what ends up happening; he likes her enormously, finds her funny, appreciates her for who she is. And she likes him too! So I don't think it can be ignored that, when Ted first starts thinking "who would be a good match for me," he thinks of Sassy.

AU where Loid is still a spy but he goes to WISE HQ like a normal office worker, he clocks in and does his cool spy stuff and takes his lunch break with his other spy buddies in the break room.

Yor always packs his lunch, a cute lunch box, sometimes she accidentally switches his and Anya's so Loid ends up taking Anya's lunchbox to work

His colleagues are jealous either way

There's one half of WISE that is envious and amazed at Twilight's bento boxes his wife with questionable cooking skills and an even more questionable occupation makes. The other half is just genuinely horrified how Twilight survives eating it every time.

Daybreak swears he once saw something bright green crawl out of it.

Some of the other spies think the legendary Twilight's wife is training her husband to be resistant to all forms of poison via food. They think Twilight is nearly unkillable.

Meanwhile Sylvia keeps making discreet doctor's appointments for Twilight to check if his organs are all intact and half of WISE's budget goes out the window for that and Twilight's life insurance.

Anya is bummed out that Twilight treats his job like any other ordinary office worker does instead of 'cool spy stuff'. She absolutely is terrified and curious about Yor's profession.

Yor just thinks her husband is a professional stalker with an office cubicle from all the intel about some low profile people Loid talks about during dinner.

Anyway, Spy x Family office AU with Yor still being an assassin but it's only vaguely hinted at
