And you know, the crazy thing is that I just realised that maybe some of my envy for other people is rooted in the idea that I can’t actually see what my best self looks like. So I just long to copy other people hoping that I can get close to that. Because that’s brilliance I can actually see. And that’s just so much more easier to attain than my own brilliance, which might not even exist.

For those who don’t know, Elon Musk has recently been directing his assholery towards Wikipedia — calling them ‘Wokepedia’ due to the amount they spend on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and calling for people to stop giving them money “until they restore balance to their editing authority” —, now is a great time to consider donating to Wikipedia!

Today years old when I found out this plant existed.

A quick scan of ~Wikipedia~ informed me it's in the asparagus family and the scilla subfamily (so related to hyacinthoides and scilla). But also that a study on the interaction of pollinators and this plant were done (article linked below). It's via leaf cutters specifically and apparently is the first recorded/known observation of petals acting like the stigma.

which then the only plant with anything similar to that process is called Lacandonia. Another plant I did not know existed until today. And it's mycoheterotrophic aka doesn't photosynthesize and has this mutual relationship with fungi (??)

(the one other plant I know that is like this is Ghost pipes or Monotropa uniflora)

A group of Wikipedia editors have formed WikiProject AI Cleanup, “a collaboration to combat the increasing problem of unsourced, poorly-written AI-generated content on Wikipedia.” The group’s goal is to protect one of the world’s largest repositories of information from the same kind of misleading AI-generated information that has plagued Google search results, books sold on Amazon, and academic journals. “A few of us had noticed the prevalence of unnatural writing that showed clear signs of being AI-generated, and we managed to replicate similar ‘styles’ using ChatGPT,” Ilyas Lebleu, a founding member of WikiProject AI Cleanup, told me in an email. “Discovering some common AI catchphrases allowed us to quickly spot some of the most egregious examples of generated articles, which we quickly wanted to formalize into an organized project to compile our findings and techniques.”

I decided to try to sort my ideas and whats canon regarding my ocs with this and ITS PERFECT. IT ALL FEELS SO CONRETE. and i sure as hell AM Going to continue to use this with every single OC I have until google drives is set ablaze- Just!!!!!!!!
