I stand up slowly, my eyes fixed on the fog ahead of me. The clicking sound is back. It's familiar . . .

record: ironically the only instance of "record" in a book about spooky stuff on videos and photographs

I stopped looking in mirrors, I hated hearing my voice on recordings. Discomfort dug its claws into me deeper and deeper with every passing day, and screamed at me that something had to change.

gesture:

I feel the monster before I hear it, pointing legs skittering along the tunnel floor. It stands behind Daria, a mass of segmented body parts and many peering eyes, as she gestures for me to step out of the alcove.

comment:

"Was it too hard for you to find me?" I ask sarcastically.

She ignores the comment. We keep walking.

there's a really good potential twist at the end of cosmophagia that's haunting me because the themes™ are stopping me from doing it

i haven't been writing lately bc i've been very very stressed but i do have 9/10 chapters of aiadw outlined, the last chapter is just going to be annoying bc i'm changing things from my original plan. also i still have to type up the rest of cosmophagia draft 2 (easy) and then completely reformat the story again (not easy)

my new goal for cosmophagia is to finish draft 3 by february because there's a chance i might be going to the awp 2024 conference

i made the mistake of describing one of the horrible insect monsters in cosmophagia as "the size of a large dog" so all i can imagine is ouppy

after struggling with lindsey's section for two drafts i wrote a banger of an outline for it and now i'm not going to write for a week because my video game is coming
