The Kaminoans said Hunter’s enhanced intuition comes from his sensitivity to electromagnetic frequencies, but sometimes, Crosshair wonders if it’s more than that. Without a single word spoken between them, he knows what Crosshair needs with an accuracy that borders on eerie. Or: how the Bad Batch develops the habit of sleeping in a pile.

I was so moved by the sleepy pile siblings fic and comic I actually wrote gen for once!

I intended this as a prequel to Weighty Words & Weighted Blankets by @wiseowl18 and the accompanying comic by @cloneenthusiast! Links to those works are included on ao3. Please also give their works some love! 💕

For some fic recommendations, all on AO3, just a few off the top of my head:

Gen:

Tech's Capture, by Dinogirl123 (Tech is captured by Crosshair during Season One and how Tech has to deal with being captured).

Silence by Destril. Good fic about Tech and his team.

Grit by CT_IForgot. Another good fic with the Batch boys.

Not So Perfect Vision by WiseOwl18. Why Tech needs corrective goggles.

5 Times The Bad Batch Are Held By Their Teammates by helo572

Resolute Protector by wwheeljack. A Crosshair and Tech fic with Cross getting hurt.

Not Gen:

Command and Respect by TechPopStar. An Imperial Tech mature fic.

The Inverse Function by GrizabellaSolo. Another Imperial Tech take, though this one is not a chipped Tech.

This entire exercise is making me realize how little time I’ve had to read fic the little while. 😅 As a Tech fan (he’s an engineer to… I can’t help myself), this gives me a lot to add to the list! Thank you for the recs, Anon!!!!

Can I be cheeky and submit two recs in this week?

First up is Echoes In Between by @wiseowl18: https://archiveofourown.org/works/41771844/chapters/104798052 Each chapter is a gorgeous, heartfelt moment between episodes of the Bad Batch. The characterisation is great!

Second is Mandalore at Night (Greetings From!) by @ereborslionheart. It's a beautiful DinLuke fic with a lot of longing and characters feeling bound by duty and unable to articulate their feelings which is so my jam!

You ABSOLUTELY can rec more than one! Both of these fics seem lovely in their own right! For Echoes in Between, I've stated it a thousand times, but I LOVE fics that do missing scenes/behind the scenes stuff, and this fic seems right up that alley. I adore seeing different authors' interpretations of what goes on with the Batch that we don't see!

And for Mandalore at Night (Greetings From!), this seems like a super interesting AU (also, having Luke as Ahsoka's padawan? I'M IN!).
