don't stop, play your video game
mina finds it hard to focus when she’s getting eaten out.
alternatively: spying on your gf gives you some really great ideas! gamer!mina x f!reader smut - kinda fluffy kinda vanilla - established wholesome relationship - idk if it counts as voyeurism...
-
having a girlfriend who’s never had to want for anything, who’s always been more of a giver than a taker, has made special occasions slightly difficult. your anniversary’s coming around again and you’re stuck on what gift you can get her next. another lego set you both can spend a night putting together? artisan yarn to add to her growing knitting pile?
you know that whatever you do give her, she’d love it regardless. last year’s was a home cooked meal with her favorite dishes followed by a movie marathon on that new monitor you got her (and of course she insisted on stepping in and helping you with the chopping, and was the one who did all the tech set up). you still remember how content she looked, her head resting on your shoulder as you snuggled under the blankets. this year though, you want to get her something extra special, and you’re willing to use any means necessary to find out what exactly it is that myoui mina wants.
standing outside the door to her study, you feel the lightest pang of guilt hit your stomach for observing her like this. mina’s always treasured her alone time and you surmise she’s probably just playing that one video game she, chaeyoung and tzuyu have been hooked on recently. you press your ear to the wooden door and hear a muffled buzzing noise. it’s oddly familiar.
curiosity got the better of you and so you turn the handle and open the door ever so slightly, as quietly as possible. peering in, you see mina slumped in her chair in nothing but her baby blue tie-dye hoodie pressing a vibrator to her pussy. you’re honestly glad she has those noise canceling headphones on because she’s making the softest, sweetest grunts and hums as she massages it onto her clit. it’s taking everything in you to not rush in and please her.
when you tear your gaze away from her trembling form and take a look at her monitor, it takes a while to register what’s on her screen, but your jaw drops. mina’s watching porn. of someone getting sucked off while they’re playing zelda on the switch. it makes you giggle a little - obviously, the nerdiest girl you’ve ever known would get off to something like this.
looking back at mina, you can tell she’s getting close by how tightly she’s screwing her eyes shut. yet, with one quivering hand keeping the vibrator steady, she reaches out and clicks on another video (this time with someone getting fucked with a controller in hand). as distracting as it is hearing the monotonous drone replaced by wet squelches when she abandons the vibrator and starts rubbing her clit, you think you might know what could be a good little surprise.
“a-ah- fuck…y/n...”
-
you twiddle your toes on the lacquered hardwood and scrunch the hem of the hoodie you borrowed off of your girlfriend. the scent of her’s fading away, but still present on the plush cotton. you’ve seen mina naked a hundred times before (and you can’t help but stop and stare every single time). and yet, the image of her nipples, erect and rubbing against the inside of this same hoodie, of her touching herself, the cuffs of the sleeves gliding over smooth thighs - it makes you giddy.
“you can come in!” you hear her call out.
there’s this inexplicable psychic ability mina possesses that you haven’t yet gotten used to. but, the shock soothes the rising tension in your shoulders and you quickly let yourself in. it’s a quick clearing of your throat and a rubbing of your flushed cheeks before you allow yourself to meet your girlfriend’s gaze. she always regards you with a tender, sincere hue to her eyes, and it’s no different right now. she looks like she would give you the world, and in a way she has.
“i’m sorry angel, i’m in the middle of a game,” she apologizes with a pout, pulling a stool out from under her desk and patting the seat lightly. “but you can come and watch ‘til i’m done?”
if she hadn’t sneaked a look over to her screen and double clicked on something, you might’ve felt a tad bit sorry for what you’re going to do to her. you know mina as the kind of girlfriend who’s attentive to a fault; normally she’ll abandon everything to see that you’re well cared for. so it humbles and amuses you to watch her balance her attention between gawking at you and focusing on that convoluted game. tiptoeing her way, you quirk an eyebrow up as she examines what you’re wearing with darting eyes.
you throw out a rhetorical question: “playing league again?”
she’s played league everyday for over a week.
she sends you a nod and her signature gummy smile, then immediately snaps her head back to the monitor, her fingers fluttering over her keyboard as vivid circles form on the screen with a flurry of clicks. the sunshine rushes through her window to illuminate her silhouette. those bulky headphones look silly framed against her delicate features, but the way she clenches her jaw, the slope of it shifting up, makes you feel some type of way.
when her sight lands on you again, her mouth is set somewhat agape and she’s leering at your legs. “are you not cold, love?” after a couple more clacks of the keys, mina reaches out and strokes your bare skin with her knuckles. “you’re not wearing an awful lot,” she probes, and squeezes your thighs. she’s taking her time to skim the back of her hand over your knee, then to just under your hip. you shudder and the wool of her sweatshirt tickles you. you wonder for a second if she’s already clued into what you’re up to, or if maybe just this is enough to make her want to pin you down.
“you can warm me up then?”
she presses her tongue against her teeth while you pull her chair back. and for once, as you swing your leg to the other side and climb up on her lap, she looks at you for longer than a few beats. you slide your hands under her sweatshirt and wrap your arms around her waist, gripping onto the small of her back. at the expense of blocking her view for the slightest bit, you give her the lightest kiss on the lips, then sneak another on her nose, near her mole.
“love, it’s ranked…” she trails off, drawing a staggered breath. mina’s trying to ignore the heat that’s emanating from between your upper thighs, the wetness that spread since she layed her palm on you. she’s trying to pretend she doesn’t want to take your lip between her teeth and suck ‘til it swells, but she’s bad at acting and you love how visible restraint shows on her face.
“luckily, i don’t know what that means,” you joke and draw heart shapes into her skin like some lovesick fool. her eyes fall to somewhere between your thighs and her lap and the tip of her tongue peeks out of her mouth. your hearts become spirals thinking about how it’d feel on your heat. you clear your throat.
“focus on your game baby. don’t want you to lose, do i?”
you push her chin away and pause until you’re sure she’s got some of her attention back on her match. when you hear the clicking of her mouse and the striking of keys, you decide it’s a worthy distraction to begin bunching up the fabric of the hoodie and adjust yourself on her lap. mina stops muttering about minions in the game (when did she start, again?) as soon as she feels the warm, damp lace of your underwear pressed onto her thigh. you love how the curve of it arches perfectly to kiss your covered clit.
your girlfriend tries to gulp down her arousal: “honey…”
“yes?”
“i can’t… i can’t focus when you’re like this.”
mina has such telltale signs for when she’s turned on and you’ve memorized every single one of them. the way she starts breathing so hard with the erratic rising and falling of her chest, it nearly looks like she’s panting. the way she purses her lips, forming a little line. the way you can feel her contain and control her lust for you with how she doesn’t know what to do with her hands.
they’re trembling in mid-air.
you can feel the thumping of her heartbeat on your chest when you give her cheek a peck. “yes you can, baby. concentrate on it,” you’re trying to be encouraging, yet you grind down onto her thigh, feeling the muscles in her leg tense up.
“do it for me, babe?”
she gulps, feeling you stain her sweatpants. mina peers over your shoulder to wince at how badly she’s doing. she gives it another try, clicking and launching an attack furiously but is washed by defeat when she sees you strip the hoodie off, revealing a set of matching lilac lingerie.
“my mina’s said she’s been liking this color a lot lately, right?”
“princess, please…” with closed eyes, mina lifts her head, withdrawing her hands and gingerly placing them on your hips. her palms feel slightly cold, but it just sends jolts up your ribs. “i can’t- i really, i don’t know.”
abruptly, you get off mina’s lap, and her eyes pop open in surprise. “i think you know, you know what i wanna do.” you crawl on all fours to get under her desk, and situate yourself on your knees, right in front of her. you have the perfect view of her thighs, now squeezed closed. your eyes trail the veins along her arms till they stop at the smallest hint of her tummy peeking through.
“didn’t you hear me?”
she cocks her head.
“d’you rather me do this while you’re playing zelda?”
she blinks slowly then looks down but away from you. a hand moves up to cover her mouth.
“how many times have you seen me?” she asks, and her words are muffled.
“what? you’ve watched that kinda porn more th-”
mina whimpers and her fingers slide down her chin, and she strokes at her neck. you wet your lips as you notice her fingertips trembling, hovering over her throat.
“don’t, please,” she mutters.
you push up her sweatshirt and take in the glossy sheen of sweat over her abs, rising and falling, tensing up every time the pads of your fingers graze over her skin. you spread your hand over her abdomen, toned and smooth, and glide it up her sternum to prod at her bare tits. her breath hitches when you cup her breast with the palm of your hand and brush your thumb over her hard nipple.
"my prettiest baby."
you spare the torture and hook your fingers into the band of her sweatpants and tug. she arches her back, allowing you to tear her sweats and underwear down to her ankles. she’s looking down so intently at you, her knitted brows shading a firey gaze, eyelids fluttering. the sight of her, so very eager for you to be buried in her pussy, choked whimpers amid the slight soundscape of the game coming through her headphones - it makes your mouth water. you lean closer to her and give her a smirk.
her scent is unmistakable and intoxicating. it strains at your chest. her legs are milky but defined, and you slide your impatient hands between them to push them apart. mina’s inner thighs glisten with her arousal, and dew pools at her entrance, needy, ready. you wonder if making love with mina will always make you feel like this - like you’d do absolutely anything to hear her make those little sounds of satisfaction. and you look up at her again as if you’d even need her assurance to go on.
mina looks like she’s writhing in pain.
“love…”
she reaches a hand down to stroke your cheek. it’s gentle and saccharine and her gaze is burning you with want. the idea of the game dissipates somewhere in the middle when you stick your tongue out and sink its breadth onto her aching, soaking pussy. the taste of it is sharp and it’s sickly sweet as your mouth is swathed by her delicate folds. you try to keep eye contact but she screws her eyes shut as soon as your tongue reaches her clit.
“hnn- ah… ah-fuck!” she cheeps.
when your tongue dips into her hole, you feel the pressure of her thighs dig into your temples. you lap up her warmth, tease at her sensitive bud with the faintest licks, and ghost your lips over hers. her moans are music but frustratingly subdued, and you swallow her juices. nails scrape against your scalp and you feel your girlfriend’s fingers catch locks of your hair. mina twitches, drops her hips and tugs your head up slightly, shoving your mouth against her clit.
“please, honey-” mina throws her head back. “please.”
you leave kisses on her thighs to test her a little, but give into the force of her grip that makes your core throb with eagerness.
“only because you asked nicely.”
you suck her nub into your mouth and flick at it, the edge of your bottom lip beginning to feel her hole clench around nothing. her moans settle into whines, each one growing longer, higher in pitch with every stroke of your tongue coming quicker than the one before. your chin is coated in her wetness and your fingers are itching to slip into her. mina near crushes you between her thighs now, your mouth so unbearably hot and good on her cunt, she can barely think.
“i’m so close- so close, ah!-”
her hand in your hair moves to join the other with urgency to paw and claw into the armrests. you paint spirals over her clit, and the anticipation flowers in you when her whines turn to desperate groans. mina sees white first before the mounting pleasure bursts into ecstasy. when she cums, she grabs your head again and suffocates you in her pussy.
“oh my god… oh my f-”
without letting another word slip past her lips, you stand up and yank the collar of her sweatshirt up to tug it off her. then, kneeling once more, your hands find her lower back again, and you pull her chest closer to roll her nipples between your teeth, to give them as much attention as you did her clit for at least one moment. mina stares at you, bewildered, drool beading at the tip of her tongue. pulling away from her breasts, you crawl to your right and swivel the chair to have her face you again.
“you lost, didn’t you?”
immediately, mina whips her head to examine the text on the screen and her lips form into a pout. “and i got reported,” she mewls with a sluggish nod.
“and you got reported,” you repeat at her and she huffs at you. patting the floor beside you, you tell her: “come down here, babe.”
“why?”
“c’mon, minari,” you coo, and the corners of your mouth droop down as you furrow your eyebrows to get her to fold.
and mina crumples, her gaze softening while she slides down her chair to move to the ground. she doesn’t expect it when the caress of your hand massaging her shoulder changes to a grip, and she’s shoved down with a yelp, back to the rug. she blinks in disbelief. but your girlfriend, attentive and hungry for you, soon devours your lips, chest, waist, hips with her eyes. you straddle her. you trace her clenched jaw, the sweep of her collarbone, the wave of her overworked ribs, the slope of her abs.
you wonder if fucking mina will ever stop being this fun.
“what else do you imagine when you’re watching that kinda stuff?”
-

Yesterday I learned a lesson.
Although the blanket had been ready for a couple of months now, I was only able to gift it yesterday to my pregnant friend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few days prior, I was hesitant about giving a hand-made gift.
What if it was not appropriate? What if it was too much? What if she dislikes the color or the pattern? What if she already has too many blankets? What if it ends up fraying or pilling quickly? What if the fibers trigger some weird allergies? What if it sends the wrong message?
So many what-ifs...Some of them ridiculous, I know. I was seriously contemplating only gifting the special lactation cookies she loved. In the end, since the blanket was taking up storage space and I didn't want to waste my efforts, I wrapped it up and gifted it.
My friend loved it. She even messaged me later that evening to personally let me know how touched she was that I hand-knitted a blanket for her baby. She told me that she will treasure that blanket.
I gave an unevenly-stitched fragile blanket, and instead, my friend received a thoughtful loved-filled gift.
Sometimes we need another set of eyes to remind us of the beauty in what we do.
Sure, my stitches would never be as even as a machine's. But every stitch is accompanied by love, prayers and best wishes for her baby. A machine could have easily produced the same-sized blanket in a matter of minutes. Still, each moment working on that blanket was meaningfully spent for someone special. I didn't just create an item. It was a lovingly crafted message of love from me to a dear friend.
We crafters are often our own worst critics. Sometimes we become too obsessed with perfection that it hinders us from communicating our love.
Perhaps next time, rather than focus on the little imperfections, I should step back and see the whole of what I created.

saccharine
fem!reader; part one, part two
After Billy gifted you the hat, you decided to mess with him. You hid the hat under your blanket and pillow, not wearing it the next day despite the itching need you had to dawn it.
His note, his gift, while both special in their own right, you longed to hear him say his apology. You knew he'd probably roll his eyes or pinch the bridge of his nose before saying it and that is what you wanted.
Billy sees you in the morning without the hat and he has to hold back his frown. Did she not like it? Did someone else grab it before she returned to her cot? Or did she ignore it? A billion questions ran through his mind, he couldn't even focus on pouring water into his cup, spilling it onto his hand and the grass below. He groans and wipes his hand on his pant leg.
When his eyes dart back up to look for you, you're already staring, a gleeful smile on your face. His brow knits and you almost skip your way over to him, "Bonney."
"Mornin'," he says, setting the water jug down and Billy finds that he can barely look you in the eye. You go to speak, but Billy's mouth is working before he can even think, "did you get my uh...the thing I-"
"Well, 'f course I did," you tell him, taking one big step closer to him, your voice dropping closer to a whisper, "while I appreciate the gesture and I will keep the hat, I think I need an actual apology first."
Billy tries to focus on the real part of your words about the apology but he finds himself fixating on the fact that you said you'd keep the hat. Meaning you did like it. To him, that's a win. Or a loss maybe. Since when did he know you so well? Well enough to know what hat you'd like?
"Bonney?" Your voice jolts him out of his thoughts and he clears his throat, "are you seriously gonna make me do this?"
You nod, giving him your tender smile that always makes the boys melt and he breathes in deeply, letting out the breath, "the note wasn't enough?"
This time, you roll your eyes. "It was nice, but I deserve your words. From your vocal cords. Now, do it," you jab his shoulder with your hand, but he barely moves from it.
"'M sorry...I shouldn't 'f said what I said. It was wrong and I...I wasn't thinkin'," Billy says, his voice lower so the conversation stays between the two of you.
"And?" You raise your brow at him, jabbing his other arm. He still doesn't move.
"And you're not...a pest. You're just...a little annoying. You can't deny that," he swallows, his eyes searching over your face for any crack in your smile.
"I guess I can't. Thank you. Who knew you could be such a gentleman?" And with one last punch to his arm, you turn on your heel.
Billy, again without thinking, grabs onto your wrist before you can get much farther, making you turn right back to him. "Do you actually like the hat?"
You narrow your eyes at him, wondering if he's playing at any sort of game, but you can't read him right now. You glance to his lips, seeing no quirk of a smile, but when you look back to his eyes, he seems to have noticed where your gaze went and he drops your wrist. Why was she looking there? She was messing with him, he concludes. Like she always does, probably trying to distract him.
"I do like it. It needs to be worn in though," you tell him, your voice softer than you anticipated as you start to walk backwards away from him.
He lets out a small breath of a chuckle and nods, "I'm sure you'll manage."
let's chat about saccharine or billy in general, here :)

This is a headcanon of mine that I have: Larissa likes crafting. She knows how to knit, crochet (she really loves making lace), cross stitch, and embroider. Cross stitching and embroidery are really special to her because she remembers her grandmother showing her how to do them.

a/n: THIS IS SO FUCKING CUTEEEEEE
I def agree in the fact that she’s hella crafty. Miss ma’am has so much on her plate but when she has free time she can sometimes feel out of place when she isn’t doing anything with her hands so she crafts or reads instead - making her vocabulary extremely strong as well as her imagination and also building her patience.
this is so cute so here’s a little fluffy one-shot for you <3
✧・.☽˚。・゚✧ :══════⊹⊹══════: ✧・゚。˚☾.・✧
Larissa sat in her office as the sounds of chattering, excited students clamored away on their lunch outside her window. The warm sun made her skin glow under it's touch, her white hair becoming a halo to display the angel that ran it all. Her coat was draped over her shoulders, her arms close to her body as her red painted fingers worked away with needles and yarn, creating half double crochet stitches in a swift pace.
In her downtime, she found it hard to settle down, which was surprising considering the amount of work she constantly had on her plate, but that consistency of always working had stuck with her since she was little. If a book didn't work to settle her mind and jump her to a different reality, then creating something of her own would shift her focus and cause her to relax as each stitch or each pull became second nature.
Her grandmother had done a good job in instilling the different types of stitches in her as she grew up, often being asked to help her with making blankets or cardigans to pass the time, a story and some hot chocolate accompanying them as they sat by the fire - something of which she found herself doing again.
Regardless of if she was always professional and put together in front of her students and staff, there were times in which Larissa let her feelings get the better of her. She had gone on a good streak for quite some time, putting an invisible line between what she accepted and what she deemed as pushing it too far. But there were times in which she’d let it slip.. let it blur and fizzle into something that was no longer readable, no longer there..
With you, this seemed to be one of those times.
You had been working at Nevermore for a few months now. You loved everything the kids had thrown at you, their amazing minds and unique abilities sometimes throwing you through loops you had no idea how you recovered from, but you enjoyed their company all the same. You were still learning the ropes, but, as the painting teacher, you were able to toss your passion into anything and everything that came to your mind - something of which caught the eye of the tall professional.
You had gotten to know each other quite well over your short amount of time here. You both loved the arts and had spent hours upon hours in conversation digging into certain artists or looking at all kinds of works over a bottle of wine or two. Something so calm and passionate had stolen hours from you, sometimes waking up from your conversations so late into the night that it had become early morning - hours stolen from you that you didn’t even dare to wish you wanted back.
It felt so private, so domestic, so calm, so safe, so utterly human that whenever you laid in bed from a night like that you felt an ache in your chest as you looked up at the ceiling, an emptiness that wasn't unwelcome but wasn't asked for, a feeling that wasn't a want but a pure longing, a lingering touch that held you in its grasp, in its vice grip that told you that you had undeniably fell for the woman as though she was what made you breath, what made your heart beat, what made you go through days upon days of creating art that you could only hope would match to her beauty one day.
~~
You dismissed your class for the day, finding that it had been a successful session as you found paint splotches all over your arms and a few splatters on your face, diving into the art so much that your arm had become a palette and your face showed traces of your focus. A few students stayed behind, wanting to complete their project with it's upcoming due date after receiving their critiques for the day.
You hung your painting to dry - a medium sized canvas showing two feminine figures under a large tree, their reflections bouncing back from the water in front of them as the sun slowly turned in for the night, a painting created from a scene of the two of your that you had committed to memory after spending one of those days that made you feel, with out a doubt, alive. You were proud of your efforts, a master in your craft always had room to improve, and it seemed as though this was coming along just as you wanted it to.
A flash of red hair caught your eye by the door, being followed by three soft knocks on the dark hardwood. You turned your gaze to see a cheery Marilyn Thornhill approaching your desk.
"Hello, Professor Y/l/n! Are you busy, by chance?" She ran her fingers along the edge of your desk, scanning your features and the paint that lined them before casting her gaze down, looking at the swatches and photos that scattered your workspace.
"You know, you can call me y/n." You laughed before hitting enter and sending the last email in your inbox. "I'm not busy at the moment and don't find that I have anything else for today, so no. Did you need help with something?"
You had turned your attention to the woman after grabbing a cloth to wipe the paint away from your arms and face. You had gotten to know her through Larissa, and you two bonded over the fact that you were both quite new, even if she had a year on you. You found her to be full of energy and passion, something you found traces of in her work, and enjoyed her company whenever there was a chance for it. You knew her well enough to pick up on a new energy she had, like something had shifted, like there was something she knew that you didn't yet.
"I didn't need help with anything, no. I was just with Larissa and she asked if I could stop by and send you over if you weren't busy. It's nothing bad - I know she's the principal, so some people can get scared when they're asked to head over, but I'm sure you know her well enough by now to tell."
You stood from your seat, closing out your computer before collecting your things in an organized manner, dropping them into one of the baskets that sat behind you. Just as you were about to dismiss the students that still worked and lingered, she stepped in and provided another set of eyes in your absence, reassuring you that she'd stay until they were finished. From that, you gathered that you'd apparently be gone for more than just a few minutes.
You checked in on the students one last time, giving them comments and answering any questions they had before grabbing your keys and setting foot into the stone halls.
~~
Your nerves had gotten to you slightly, but the excitement to see the woman that sat behind the large, dark doors overshadowed any negative feeling that crossed your path as you knocked. After a few short moments, a small 'come in!' was heard from the other side. You opened it slowly, knowing that the doors sometimes liked to creak to show off their old age, and peeked your head in.
The room was empty, besides the two of you, and warm - a fact that you loved as your bare arms and shoulders shivered in the cold expanse that the school gave you, their open halls and many balconies creating a breeze that sometimes was too cold to be unavoidable. You stepped into the office, a small click from the door closing making itself known before you closed the distance between yourself and the sapphire goddess.
You settled yourself in one of the seats, pulling your legs up and resting along the broad arms that the brown chair gave you, before taking in her focused form as she typed away. Her red rimmed glassed sat at the edge of her nose as her gaze was turned down towards her fingers, switching up to her screen and back down again. A content, low hum was emitted from her as she clicked one last time, seemingly finishing an email, before she closed the laptop and moved her glasses to rest on her head.
The sound was enough to flood your being with warmth, rumbling in her throat and transferring itself to settle in your chest before it dissipated into thin air, leaving it's trace as a light blush on your cheeks as you made eye contact with its source.
"Hello, darling," she purred. Her full attention was at your mercy, the fact alone making your blush grow as you looked back at her, a small smile filling your features and causing one to lift at her lips as well.
"Hello, Larissa," you responded, weaker than you would've liked. She always seemed to have this affect on you at the start of everything. It was like her presence alone was enough to reset you, to have your face warm, your fingers fiddling with each other, your gaze to falter until you eased back up to the woman and stopped thinking about your every move.
Comfortable conversation had settled between you two, a shift to the couch as the flames roared, giving you the warmth you of so craved as you sat side by side. Your shoes were discarded as your legs touched in the close proximity, lost in talking about the different types of pieces your students had come up with this time around.
As it ended, there was a touch of nervousness coming from her as she settled into the next topic of conversation. She averted her gaze from you as her hands moved slightly with each word - talking with her hands was something you caught onto early into knowing her, and it was a small little touch that you adored about her.
"I called you in here for a reason a few hours ago, but the thought seemed to have slipped from me until now. I'm sorry about that, y/n.." She stood to move to her desk, opening her bottom drawer and fidgeting with a few things before taking out a brown box with a white ribbon on it.
"There's nothing to be sorry for, Larissa.. I always enjoy your company, regardless of what we're doing." You had let a little more than the truth fall into that statement - something she seemed to notice as a blush met her cheeks.
She sat back down next to you, a lot closer this time, as her arm came around behind you and rested on the back of the couch. She handed you the box, gently resting it into your hands, as you gave her a confused look. You placed it into your lap, looking down at it and appreciating the small details that littered the box and the beautiful curves of the handwriting that spelled your name on the small tag attached to the bow. You looked back up at her, and, just as you were about to speak, her accent filled the room.
"I'd like to be quite blunt, in this moment, love.." Her voice shook slightly as she looked at the box. Her nervousness was confirmed to you at the way her words lingered for a moment, almost as though she was unsure of what she was about to say next.
"These last few month, in your company, have been the best I've had in years.. It feels amazing to talk so freely with you, to be so open about so many things and to feel.." She paused, her eyes closing as she swallowed. She inhaled, her breath wavering slightly, before she spoke again. "..to feel so loved.."
Your heart broke a little at her words. You could never understand how someone so pristine, so intelligent, so down right gorgeous hadn't felt loved in so long. It pulled on your heartstrings as you saw the true feelings that lingered within her soul as her gaze finally met yours.
The concern that lined your features cracked her heart. It was amazing to feel so cared for by a human she felt so deeply for. It made her anxious as to what she was about to admit, the fear of ruining something so true, so precious weighed on her shoulders, but she knew she couldn't keep drawing this out as her feelings for you grew by the day.
"In the box is a gift for you.. It's something that I made to fit you, both in color and size. I took into account that you like some things oversized.. However.."
Her pause made your breathing stop. She had you unconsciously leaning towards her, hanging onto every word as though they were the last ones you were going to hear, as though her voice was the last one to grace your eardrums. She seemed to notice this, her lips curling up slightly before the reality of what she was about to say settled itself back into her mind.
"You can open it, now or later, but on some terms.. I have grown very fond of you, sweet girl.. So much so that I look forward to seeing you at the end of every week, that I hope to catch you at any point in the day. I like you, y/n.. very much and the fact that those words came out of my mouth are terrifying."
She took in a breath as she looked at your expression. It had shifted of one of concern to one that was overly flustered - to why, she didn't know yet. She hoped that it was the one she looked for as she searched deep into your eyes.
"I want you to open this if your feelings are reciprocated.." She placed her fingertips onto the box softly, making sure her words were clear as you soaked in each one. "If they aren't, you can leave the box here as you leave for the night or leave it in the mailroom for me to collect it later. Whatever answer you give, I hope this doesn't change anything between us, and.. if they're not reciprocated things will-"
Your swift movements had cut her off. Seeing her this nervous was something you never thought you would have in your sights and now knowing that you were the cause of this wave pained you. It was as though time slowed down when her feelings were revealed to you, like your heart stopped and all movements within your body had ceased to exist, allowing her to capture your complete focus, your soul, and, officially, your heart. You didn't want her to be consumed into the negative, into the 'what ifs' that could plague ones mind, so you moved before you let her consider them to be a piece of reality.
You shuffled to your right a bit more, her arm completely pressed along your back and your side meeting hers as you left no room between the two of you. You could feel her breath meet the side of your face, causing a shiver to run through you. You were so close that her perfume was all consuming, the intoxicating scent moving itself to the forefront of your lungs as every new inhale made you dizzy.
You leaned against her and turned your face towards her, taking in her confused expression with a small laugh before it died in your chest after realizing just how close the two of you were. Her eyes moved down to your lips for a moment, your eyes doing the same before looking back up to her eyes, seeing that they were already there again. You took in a shaky breath before finally speaking.
"I want you to know that I feel the same way.. I'm sorry I somewhat cut you off, but I didn't want you to think otherwise.." You let her absorb your words, you tone lined with care and your voice covered with sincerity and love. Her gaze softened as reality set in, a big smile replacing the look of confusion that was there second prior.
You smiled back before looking down to your lap, slowly undoing the ribbon that was delicately tied in its place. You lifted the cover off the box and set it on the table that was in front of you both, a gasp leaving your mouth as your eyes gazed over the tied threads in front of you, your fingers smoothing over the soft, dark fabric that sat within the box.
"Larissa.. this," you lifted the fabric out of the box, presenting the oversized cardigan in front of the both of you. "You made this?"
Shock and adoration graced your face and features. You understood the hours of work that something like this could take, and, knowing that she was nothing less than busy most of the time, she took those hours to make something for you.
"I-I" She cleared her throat, grounding herself after what was just revealed between the two of you. "I did, yes.. I took note of the colors you wore the most and was able to guess what size would fit you best by spending time with you and taking in your figure.."
"You're amazing!" The words echoed through the room as you stood up to put it on, settling in the woman's chest and filling her with warmth, butterflies soaring through her as her heart swelled. You spun once, after putting on the oversized piece of clothing. "How do I look?"
You loved how it was longer and could capture your entire body when you pulled your legs onto the chair with you, or how the arms bunched up at your elbows and could cover your hands if they got cold. It smelled of her, something you noticed as you opened the box, showing off the hours she had spent working on this piece alone, hours of her fingers working through stitch after stitch of the dark color, hours of her touch, her scent, her love being filled into the fabric.
"Perfect." It had left her lips without her knowing, without her thoughts stopping her. She smiled at how happy you looked, at how adorable you looked in something she had made just for you. The sparkle that filled your eyes made her heart race and you couldn't help but blush at her comment.
You quickly sat back next to her, pulling your legs up with you and pressing yourself into the touch of the crafty principal. You placed an arm at her shoulder while the other cupped the side of her face, your thumb tracing along the smooth skin. Her arm wrapped around you this time, loving that she could have you closer than she ever did before. A soft 'thank you' left your lips as the fabric enveloped you in a gentle hold.
A small silence had filled the room, a charged energy making itself known as you gazed into each others eyes and got comfortable. Everything else for the both of you seemed to slip away, the world only consisting of the two of you in this moment.
"Can.. I kiss you, y/n?" She whispered, her lips a hair away from yours. Your breath was caught in your throat as your eyes pleaded. The way she looked at you was intoxicating. You thanked the old gods and the new for sending someone as amazing, as beautiful, as talented and as brilliant as her into your life.
"Of course.." You said against her lips, the small touch making anticipation drive itself through your veins, before her lips captured yours.
The kiss was soft, your being becoming all consumed by hers as her hands met your hips, making a home for themselves there. Everything ran quiet as you melted into each others touch. The hand you had on her face moved down slightly as you both released each other for air, only to move to the back of her neck and pull her back into you.
Every time her lips met yours it was as though electricity ran through the both of you, charging the room with love as every 'what if' that may have been thought before disappeared from sight. Each kiss was so full of emotion, so full of drawings one made for the other, so full of stitches redone until perfection, so full of paintings that were discarded or replaced to move towards excellence..
so full of hours upon hours spent with a needle and thread..
~~

TSUYU ASUI HCS (๑╹ω╹๑ )
Tumblr media
It’s Tsu’s big day!! And I haven’t written for her yet! So here’s some hcs<3 I love Tsu she’s the first ever mha character I found out about!! Isn’t it funny her big day is right after shoto’s?
enjoy tsu stans! She’s a bit underrated so here’s some more content 💛
Tsu is such a caring lover!!
like I 10/10 recommended dating this lovely young lady
you two love to have private outings if that makes sense
like going outside to a private place
your special place
like near a beautiful peach tree maybe
with lots of flowers and small animals
and of course she loves the water so the beach!!
but more so when there’s less people, she prefers to go really early to see the sunrise
Tsuyu’s love language is gift giving, quality time and small little physical touches
she likes giving you cute little cheek/hand kisses
and kissing your nose
💗💗
no fair [your name] I want her :(
HOW’D YOU BAG HER?!
Tsu gives you bracelets with meaning like, she’ll research the gem that represents love and buy you matching ones
i feel tsu would also be into crystals so she’d buy you ones for protection and good luck <3
you help her take care of her many plants every day
she and momo also makes sure the dorm plants stay healthy
its canon tsu would have a boho room (horikoshi confirmed it since we didn’t get to see her dorm)
search up boho I actually like it a lot
Though she prefers to hang out in your room
or go out somewhere
she’s not easily impressed by typical things and isn’t afraid to voice that
she wants you to be honest with her too
she tells you she doesn’t like typical restaurant dates that are noisy with chatter
And if you get her flowers at least think about the potting and if she likes those kinds
try not to see her as being meticulous she just has her preferences and expects you to respect that
And you do, so she appreciates it!
trust me her love in return is definitely worth it!!
she likes to hold hands as you walk to and from school together
actually she just likes to hold your hands everywhere
when walking to the school, gas station, beach, walking in the halls, lunch, anytime!
Anytime is hand holding time!!
kissy are more so for in private tho 😗
she a lil shy frog (>人<;)
Tsuyu also love sleep, cuddle and nap together
especially in winter
You keep her all warm and snuggled up into a blanket
hot air blowing in your room
she really appreciates that you do this for her
she usually likes to keep it out her face but if you have some time she might let you play with her hair!
not all the time tho
but sometimes it does feel good
Tsu can also knit, I feel
she would make you two matching sets of knitted gloves, hats and sweaters
even more so in winter
they look really cute too
its not the basic knitting
go on Pinterest, knitted clothes can be made really fashionable people just only think of the granny designs 🤦‍♀️
asui also encourages and reminds you to do your homework and not only focus on hero studies or hobbies
she will help you and is rather intelligent as well
which I believe is true about frogs
btw don’t ask her if she eats bugs she’ll slap you with her tongue
if you study with her/get tutored by her your grades are sure to show improvement
she’s so proud of you!
any of your accomplishments in fact!
shes super supportive and any event or sports your want her at she’ll be there!
She helps you save up for any equipment you may need or whatever!
even just being there cheering you on!
she even brings the girls with her sometimes!
she really enjoys seeing you happy
but don’t be mistaken if it’s something she’s seriously uncomfortable with she’ll let you down gently about it
but your not upset because 9/10 she accepts your decisions
I just hope they’re not reckless ones
If it is it might lead to arguments if you don’t start caring for your own safety
she gets scared for you if you aren’t for yourself and it puts stress on her if you don’t bother to change
the relationship might stop there
Asui isn’t picky but she certainly has her boundaries
On a lighter note
tsuyu is a pretty good artist!
she’s one of those artists to give you a drawing of yourself on your big day!
or for an accomplishment!
she has drawings all over her room and she blushes if you admire them
you can beg her all you want to let you go through her old drawings
shes never letting you
btw she will probably introduce you to her reptile friend from middle school
the relationship also ends there if you discriminate her
shes a mutant type too, you can’t do that to her
if you like her tho you guys become a trio!
her friend cries if you accept her as well
tears of happiness of course
tsuyu would cry if class 1A threw her a party for her day
she doesn’t mind if class 1B is there or not but if her reptile friend is that’d make her day!
I feel she would like vanilla ice cream cake with a thin layer of strawberry icing
the gift you got her was a crochet set
your reasoning was so she could learn to both knit and crochet,
maybe even teach you so you can do it together :)
ENJOY!! I LOVE TSU SM SHE SUCH A SWEETIE
HAPPIEST OF TIMES TO YOU TSUYU!!

weird fun facts about your oc(s)
rules: share some fun facts about your oc(s). they don't have to be relevant to their story, perhaps even better if they aren't. the weird ones are the best!
tagged by @solas-backpack-mug! thanks for the tag! now, since i've been in a pillars mood lately:
Desta of the Kind Wayfarers
When she was young and still trying to find a place in Galawain's temple, she did make a genuine attempt at being a hunter...but she was pretty terrible at it. The poor girl's got no stealth at all!
Her very long hair can be a bit of a hassle at times, but she's given up on trying to control it- every time she cuts it, it grows back almost immediately
Her very high strength means she's great at picking up the party's squishy wizard and carrying him to safety every time he gets hurt in a fight. Her very low insight means she has no idea how flustered this makes him
Rudi Xavell
For the most part, she doesn't have any strong feelings about the gods. She just does what she thinks is practical, like giving offerings to Galawain before and after a hunt. Of all my Watchers, she's the least bothered about holy philosophy- if it works, it works, and it doesn't really matter if it's 'real' or not
Her favorite color is red, to the point where red capes and red-accented clothing becomes her signature look as ruler of Caed Nua
She makes her own arrows! With the focus required, she finds it to be a very meditative activity and it helps her clear her mind
Miervaldis Ygdin
He's really good at knitting and sewing! He learned this from his oldest sister, who was a tailor, and homemade blankets have become his go-to gift for friends and family (i imagine quilts especially to have a big significance in the White That Wends, and he gave his parents a special quilt as a going away gesture when he left home)
He uses he/him pronouns, but honestly he's very indifferent to the concept of gender in general
He has one (1) level in druid, purely because ice spells fit his aesthetic and i wanted an excuse to give him some

Brumous Sneak Peek
Chapter Forty-Seven: Visit to the Hollow
When they went upstairs, they tackled Harry’s nursery first. Sirius made a beeline to the stuffed animals Harry had mentioned on the rocking chair. He packed away the dog, stag, and wolf before he ripped the head off the rat and pitched it across the room. While Remus packed away handmade blankets, hats, and even stuffed animal that Euphemia had knitted, Sirius dug through the toy box, looking for the damn knockoff Padfoot, and found it at the very bottom as he predicted. Sirius grabbed the Snitch mobile above the cot while Remus packed away a few toys. While looking through Harry’s wardrobe, Sirius spotted the tiny leather jacket he had bought Harry. He plucked it off the rack, looking at the tag to see it was an eighteen to twenty-four month sized jacket. Sirius wondered if he had ever worn it. A lump formed in his throat as he folded it neatly to pack away as well. He’d make sure Harry had a new one that fit for Christmas.
The hardest room, by far, had been James and Lily’s bedroom. It felt wrong to disturb the room. But Sirius pushed aside those feelings as he raided Lily’s jewelry box, finding Euphemia’s engagement ring and wedding band as well as jewelry that James had bought for Lily for special occasions. Remus opened James’ bedside table and let out a watery laugh. Sirius walked over, peering into the drawer to see an array of glasses. Remus picked up one from when James was a teenager, the frames square and thick.
“We can have the lenses changed,” Remus said in a thick voice. “Could you imagine Harry having these as a backup frame?”
Sirius didn’t want to think about it. There were some features that were uniquely Harry, that set him apart from James. It helped Sirius to focus on those differences when Harry acted painfully like his father. Truth be told, no matter how selfish it sounded, Sirius never wanted to see Harry in those glasses. He didn’t want him to look more like James than he already did.
They packed away more photos, trinkets, and even a lamp. Remus found the silly friendship bracelets that the girls made for all of them in seventh year, ones that the girls wore for far longer than the boys did. Sirius opened the wardrobe, carefully folding Quidditch jerseys and even James’ ridiculous brown Madcap striped jacket that he used to wear. On the floor of the wardrobe was a box. Sirius crouched down and opened it.

My headcanons for König the Austrian behemoth
Tumblr media
I’m putting this under a read more because I delve into topics of child abuse and self harm. This is your warning.
König’s family was Roman Catholic but he himself is an Atheist.
As a child he was sexually abused by a family member, who instead of being charged and brought to justice when König tried to tell his family what happened, was protected. This is why König was allowed leave for the military at age 17, his parents didn’t want him around “spreading lies” and “ruining their family’s reputation.”
As a result, for most of his childhood and young teenage years, König felt alone and like he had no control over anything in his life, not even his own body. He developed severe depression and anxiety, being too afraid to form relationships with anyone or trust anyone because of what was done to him. The bullying in school didn’t help, and König developed a habit of self harming as a means to regain some control of his body back.
He used to suffer from horrible anxiety attacks that would leave him shaking and feeling sick. He learned breathing techniques from therapy to help him through them, but for the most part he just has to endure. Nowadays they happen less frequently, medication and therapy helped a ton, but they can still happen. Especially if he’s reminded of something of his childhood abuse.
He’s a nail biter, a nervous habit he developed as a child that never went away.
He can get very twitchy and jumpy depending on his anxiety levels. Even if he’s with someone he loves and trusts, which is rare for him, he could still potentially get into that nervous headspace.
He’s bisexual but struggled with his sexuality for so long because he wasn’t sure if it was genuinely how he felt or if he was turning into the same predator that hurt him as a child. So he tried to ignore his feelings towards other men and focused only on women. He’s had two girlfriends in the past, one cheated on him and the other dumped him due to him lashing out during anxiety attacks and for her own mental health’s sake, she needed to take a step back.
For so long he was so afraid of becoming a victim again that he put himself through a strict fitness regime to bulk up so he could never be put in that position again. He likes that he’s taller and more intimidating with his hood, it makes him feel powerful, like he doesn’t need to worry about being hurt again. And then he worries anyway.
He knits in his spare time. It helps keep his hands busy and his mind from wandering. He also likes listening to books on audio. He likes high fantasy books with a lot of focus on worldbuilding. He also likes listening to book reviews on YouTube.
He used to smoke but gave them up before starting his fitness regime. Sometimes he still craves a cigarette.
He hates tea but loves coffee and energy drinks. One time he poured his energy drink into his coffee, saluted his team, then downed the whole thing in one go.
He can’t sleep in the dark and needs some form of light, even if it’s from his phone. He also suffers nightmares from time to time, and sleeps with a knife under his pillow.
Weighted blankets terrify him, they don’t ground him. They make him feel like there’s someone on top of him, pinning him down, and he hates it.
Like I mentioned before, he does eventually go to therapy and gets the help and medication he needs to live a happier life. And there was nothing more validating for him than to hear the therapist tell him; “The adults around you at the time failed to protect you. And it’s alright to feel angry and hurt by that.”
He has a big sweet tooth but rarely indulges it. For special occasions, like his birthday or Christmas, he’ll have cake or chocolate. He also likes dark, bitter chocolate.
He does have moments where he reflects on the people he’s killed and how he killed them and he thinks to himself that he’s become a bigger monster than the man who abused him. And I think that’s what leads him to finally getting therapy.
That’s all I have today. Share your own headcanons about the big meow meow my ask box is always open :)

Creating a Sanctuary in Your Backyard or Home: A Path to Better Mental Health
Tumblr media
In today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of peace and tranquility can be challenging. As homemakers, we often put the needs of our families and homes before our own, leaving little time to recharge. However, creating a personal sanctuary—whether in your backyard or a special room inside your house—can provide a much-needed retreat and significantly benefit your mental health. Let’s explore how you can transform a space into your own sanctuary and why it’s essential for your well-being.
The Importance of a Personal Sanctuary
Mental Health Benefits: A sanctuary offers a place to escape from daily stressors and unwind. Regularly spending time in a peaceful environment can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and lower stress levels. It’s a dedicated space for relaxation, reflection, and mental rejuvenation.
Enhanced Focus and Productivity: Having a calm space to retreat to can boost your focus and productivity. Whether you use it for quiet reading, meditation, or hobbies, this sanctuary allows you to recharge and return to your tasks with renewed energy and clarity.
Promotes Self-Care: Creating and using a sanctuary is a powerful act of self-care. It signals that you value your mental and emotional health, which is crucial for maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life. It’s a reminder to prioritize yourself amidst the demands of homemaking and family life.
Creating Your Sanctuary
1. Choosing the Right Space: Your sanctuary can be as simple or elaborate as you like. It could be a corner of your backyard, a nook in your living room, or an entire room dedicated to relaxation. Choose a space that feels comfortable and separate from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
2. Designing Your Outdoor Sanctuary:
Nature’s Embrace: Utilize the natural elements of your backyard. Create a cozy seating area with comfortable chairs or a hammock. Surround yourself with plants and flowers that bring you joy.
Soothing Sounds: Incorporate elements like wind chimes, a small fountain, or a bird feeder to add soothing sounds to your space.
Lighting: Use soft lighting such as string lights, lanterns, or candles to create a calming atmosphere for evening relaxation.
Personal Touches: Add personal touches like a favorite blanket, cushions, or a small table for your tea or books.
3. Designing Your Indoor Sanctuary:
Comfort and Coziness: Choose furniture that invites relaxation—think plush chairs, soft rugs, and cozy throws. Your sanctuary should be a place of ultimate comfort.
Declutter: Keep the space clutter-free to maintain a sense of peace and order. Use storage solutions to keep necessities handy but out of sight.
Calming Colors: Opt for calming colors like soft blues, greens, or neutrals to create a serene environment.
Aromatherapy: Use essential oils to fill the space with calming scents like lavender, chamomile, or eucalyptus.
4. Activities for Your Sanctuary:
Meditation and Mindfulness: Practice meditation or mindfulness exercises to center yourself and clear your mind.
Reading and Writing: Enjoy a good book, journal your thoughts, or explore creative writing.
Hobbies and Crafts: Engage in hobbies like knitting, painting, or gardening that bring you joy and relaxation.
The Impact on Your Mental Health
Spending time in your sanctuary can have profound effects on your mental health. It provides a break from the daily grind, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and your needs. This dedicated space for relaxation and reflection can help you manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve your overall well-being. When you prioritize self-care and mental health, you’re better equipped to handle the demands of homemaking and family life with grace and positivity.
Bringing It Home
Creating a sanctuary in your backyard or a room in your house is a gift to yourself. It’s an acknowledgment that your mental health is important and worthy of care. As homemakers, we often focus on creating a loving and nurturing environment for our families, but it’s equally important to cultivate a space where we can recharge and find peace. By establishing a personal sanctuary, you’re not only enhancing your own well-being but also setting a positive example for your family.
Take the time to create your sanctuary, and let it become a haven of tranquility and a cornerstone of your self-care routine. Your mental health will thank you.
With warmth and serenity,

Shopping headcanon for Echo. Genuinely curious to see what you think Echo'd buy from the shop if anyone can get him out of the house. That, or Nathan >:)
You say "or" like I won't do both (<– Normal)
For Echo. I think he'd want to buy things that could help him function at home, seeing how he can barely ever bring himself to get out of bed of his own will. Sure he's gone through The Horrors and has developed severe mental illness because of it but he's still very smart and very perceptive of things. In his mind it's only logical to use the fact he's managed to go outside to prepare for later. Later on I think he'd buy himself something like a colouring book and pencils, because he'll probably have to practice using his hands (and redeveloping the muscles in them) once his arms have started reverting back enough. And apparently that's meant to be good for mental health. He doesn't understand why it is but it'll make the others happy so he does it. He wouldn't ever buy things for someone else unless it's a special occasion. Or unless it's Caesar. But himself would 100% be the priority.
Nathan! I love him but I will be real shopping with him would probably be a nightmare. I think he'd get distracted and wander off a lot simply because he's not thinking about the consequences, as a Nathan does. He'd be very fascinated about everything he sees. Spends like 10 mins meticulously analysing the silverware being sold and that (sparkly! pretty!). He would want to buy a lot of things. Everything, perhaps. But of course they can't do that so he settles for things he think would be fun, such as board games and the like. Things to keep him occupied when alone also. I like to think that he's started a bunch of arts and crafts hobbies like knitting and sculpting but usually drops them very soon. They have a bunch of random things in the house because of him. He would also focus on getting things for Echo to make him feel better. Plushies, soft blankets so his Bed Rotting is at least comfy, sweets because who doesn't love sweets, so on. Of course he'd buy things for the others, but Echo would be his priority over everyone, even himself

May Update
Well, we have a few more days left of May and approaching June, and I am at the last few hours (and the last sleep) before I go back to work after my long-time leave. I have other vacation days to plan, so more to look forward to, but it's going to be hard going back after an entire month off (4 weeks).
At the start of this, I had ideas that I didn't let become goals because the ONLY thing I wanted to focus on was the time to decompress and really relax during these special weeks disconnected.
Today on the last day, it doesn't feel like I did enough - including basics like laundry and keeping the house together. So here's what I did do:
9-day trip West to meet a friend, see the Grand Canyon for the first time, experience the mountains of Zion. Saw a hoodoo for the first time at Bryce, spent an evening on the Strip in Vegas, (and more, so much more!)
Completed a crocheted granny tote in desert-inspired colors, and it turned out beautiful! Crafts started - 1) FishTank colors shawl, 2) Virus shawl with bamboo yarn. Crafts continued: Rows on my first knit throw blanket, and it's getting there. Purchased interchangeable knitting needles (desperately needed after playing the gauge game)
Sorted some of my clothes and managed 2 trash bags of clothes for donate (+ 2 more from a previous round sorting).
Co-wrote a Fishtank-y one-shot with Tippy. Wrote a oneshot in the TSOF Universe. (and it's okay that that was it, despite the ideas flowing. It really is.)
Hosted, Queued up for FishTank Week. I think it was the first FishTank week, and I did my best
Received my new DSLR camera.
FFXIV - continued in Heavensward.
Watched a ton of 9-1-1 Lonestar
I guess that's the full list.
Re-entry tomorrow.

How to Find the Best Birthday Gifts for Mom: Thoughtful Tips for Making Her Day Truly Special
Tumblr media
A mother's birthday is a momentous occasion that calls for a celebration of the woman who has brought love, guidance, and warmth to your life. Finding the perfect birthday gift for your mom can be both a joyful and challenging task. While the value of a gift lies in the sentiment behind it rather than its price tag, a thoughtful present can convey your love and appreciation in a meaningful way. In this article, we'll provide you with a comprehensive guide on how to find the best birthday gifts for your mom, ensuring that your gesture brings a smile to her face and warmth to her heart.
Reflect on Her Passions and Interests: The first step in selecting the perfect birthday gift for your mom is to consider her passions and interests. Think about what activities she enjoys, hobbies she pursues, and the things that make her happy. Whether she loves reading, gardening, cooking, or indulging in self-care, understanding her interests can offer valuable insights into the type of gift that would truly resonate with her.
Listen to Her Hints and Desires: Moms often drop hints about things they'd love to receive. Pay close attention to any comments she makes about items she'd like to have, experiences she'd like to try, or places she'd like to visit. These casual remarks can serve as valuable clues for finding a gift that aligns with her wishes.
Consider Sentimental and Personalized Gifts: A gift that carries sentimental value can be incredibly touching. Personalized gifts, such as custom jewelry, monogrammed items, or gifts that incorporate special dates or family photos, show that you've put thought into creating a unique present that holds deep meaning for her.
Balance Practicality and Thoughtfulness: While sentiment is important, practicality also plays a role in selecting the right gift. Consider items that will enhance her daily life, like a cozy blanket, quality kitchen gadgets, or skincare products. Practical gifts demonstrate that you pay attention to her needs and wish to make her life more comfortable.
Plan a Special Experience: Experiences have the power to create lasting memories. Consider planning an experience tailored to her interests, such as a spa day, a cooking class, a concert, or a weekend getaway. Sharing quality time together can be the most precious gift of all.
Seek Advice from Family and Friends: If you're struggling to come up with ideas, don't hesitate to consult family members and close friends. They might offer insights and suggestions based on their own relationships with your mom, helping you discover gift options you might not have considered.
Explore Thoughtful Online Shopping: Online shopping offers a vast array of options, but approach it thoughtfully. Stick to reputable websites, focus on categories that align with your mom's interests, and read product reviews and descriptions to ensure you're selecting high-quality gifts.
Craft a Heartfelt Handwritten Letter or Card: Sometimes, the simplest gestures have the most profound impact. Happy Villanelle Day!
Tumblr media
It's 2/16.
The blasted alarm, which has rung twice already only to be ignored by an exhausted witch who stays up too late for no reason — simply thinking, feeling the rush of power beneath her fingertips, staring at her phone screen...
Waking up with freezing cold toes peeking from under the blanket, and pushing the covers in an attempt to recover some of that warmth.
The morning scent of spices and herbs, and the abrupt desire for a piping hot cup of tea.
The sudden realization that today is not like every other day, today is special, today is different, except everything and everyone but Villanelle DuPont are the same.
Reluctantly dragging herself out of bed, watering each and every plant with a flick of her wrist, looking forward to the day with a wide smile and restless anticipation.
The faraway memory of diseased parents that were a tad too strict — but who cared very much —, of fond smiles and big gifts, of vanilla cake and gigantic candles, and hot chocolate, of sweaters that are a size too big.
The not-so-faraway memories of a teacher by the name of Madame DuPont — who was also very strict, though she denied ever caring at all —, of poorly wrapped presents, reluctant “You did well, girl”s, and “Keep at it this year too, don’t you dare disappoint me now”s.
Villanelle smiles fondly every time. She can’t help herself.
Hers is a mind which often strays and betrays her, it never lingers on one topic, and it finds it beyond impossible to focus and commit to a single choice. Plans are not an option, and when she leaves her warm apartment, Villanelle’s brain buzzes with excitement while her feet carry her to wherever they decide.
The taste of peppermint on her mouth as she crossed the threshold, as she breathes in the cold air of Blackburn, of home.
The feeling of fresh snow beneath her soles, crunching with every step, and the terrible mistake of stepping in a puddle, only to realize that her shoes are far from appropriate for this kind of weather.
Long, colorful scarfs that barely help warm her ears and nose — they are not as warm as the ones Madame DuPont secretly knitted for her.
Yet another sudden urge— a cake all for herself. Chocolate, strawberry, carrot, red velvet. The possibilities are infinite, her mouth waters.
Phonecalls that are never answered, ‘Happy Birthday!’ texts from friends and acquaintances and people she barely even remembers.
A quick stop at Morgan’s Garden, her second tea of the day, the playful back and forth with you.
Listening to music at full volume, only to lower it slightly as she nears the library.
A quick apologetic smile — there’s snow all over the floor now —, browsing each floor fast as lightning, and borrowing The Prince of Mournful Thoughts and Other Stories, which she knows she’ll like, even if she knows it won’t resonate with her. At all. It never has.
Another buzz of her phone. Her friends in the capital ask if she’ll make it to a party which Villanelle forgot about long ago.
‘Wouldn’t miss it~’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6bdviwz9Ug When it comes to providing a calming sleep experience for children with sensory processing issues, sensory-friendly kids bedding is the way to go. These specially designed bedding options focus on promoting relaxation and comfort through the use of calming textures and materials. Soft-fabric kids duvets, made from brushed microfiber or jersey knit, offer a soothing touch that can help soothe and calm children with sensory sensitivities. Another important feature of sensory-friendly kids bedding is its ability to absorb sound. Sound-absorbing kids bedding creates a quieter sleep environment, reducing auditory stimuli that may disrupt a child's sleep. By minimizing noise, these bedding options can further enhance relaxation and promote a deeper, more restful sleep for children with special needs. In addition to textures and sound absorption, low sensory bedding colors play a crucial role in creating a calming atmosphere.
