Also, that's not the whole quote, even I haven't seen the interview, but hld posted the whole quote on their Instagram and he actually said in the same quote that it's not in the cool realm, it's slightly different, it's more fun.

No, I don’t think he meant it that way, either. But what happens is someone says, “Louis said WMYB isn’t cool and he wouldn’t play it” and then everyone freaks out and doesn’t search for the full quote or the video or whatever. And then there’s the other part of the fandom who says, “Louis said WMYB isn’t cool and he’s taking a dig at Harry!” and everyone freaks out again without looking for the full quote. I mean, I was annoyed when I first saw the quote until I got the full context. But people here generally jump the gun and don’t care about context.

He has always said that he didn’t particularly enjoy wmyb. So it’s not a surprise that he’d say what he did. He doesn’t seem to have had a good relationship with the song writers. Harry did say in an interview early on that Sarah and Claire (former keyboard player) worked on reworking the song and a rock vibe wasn’t really what they heard in the song.

The writers of that song were assholes. Particularly Savan Kotecha. I can understand him not wanting to give them any positive reinforcement. I don’t recall Harry saying that about Sarah and Claire. That’s interesting.

Louis and Harry fell in love to this song in front of a million cameras. Being 31 now and looking back at your not-so-subtle-20-year-old-self you wouldn’t find anything cool about it either to be honest. 😆

He didn't sing a single line solo. Harry's voice completely dominates the song and Liam and Zayn have a short verse each.
