On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.

Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.

“Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,” Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesperson, said on Thursday.

Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.

Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.

Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.

According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under “harsh, unsafe and unhealthy” conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.

There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from “malnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.

There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with women’s underwear.

On October 10, the Danish PM, Mette Frederiksen, was asked by a journalist if she would lay flowers for the civilian Palestinian victims, just as she laid flowers in front of the Zionist occupation embassy in Hellerup.

The Prime Minister answered the question by saying angrily:

"Israel has the right to defend itself, and that will mean that victims will fall. It bears no comparison, and the fact that a Danish journalist asks the question is deeply worrying for me, I would like to say, and a display of ignorance regarding history.”

The Prime Minister said this while the whole world is witnessing how Gaza's schools, hospitals, ambulances, refugee camps and residential areas are being bombed.

Describing the genocide of Gaza's population as "self-defense" is an explicit legitimization of the Zionists' massacres and siege of the Gaza Strip.

Feminism is not about becoming a "man". It is about having the same rights as them. It's about having an opinion about your issues and not be oppressed by men.

Feminism is not a trend, it is a fight for justice and rights that has been going on for centuries.

"What about the men? What about their issues?" Men are allowed to have issues. However, men need to realize that you already enjoy so many privileges. You're the one who set this system up for yourself. Why are you complaining then? Why do you want to be oppressed so bad?

You are not superior when you claim "Oh, i am not like those feminists. I am not like other girls." The fact that you are putting your gender down like that is shameful.

You being transphobic to transwomen doesn't make you cool or "I don't want to support this new bullshit trend." It is not a trend. Transwomen have existed as long as humans. There is very little representation in history is due to transphobia and people straight up denying trans existence. In some Asian countries including mine, Transwomen are considered form of goddesses and their blessings are very powerful.

A housewife is just as much valid as a full-time working woman . A woman working on a farm is as much valid as a woman working in a big corporate.

A woman who wants child is as much valid as a woman who wants none. A woman who wants a perfect marriage is as much valid as a woman who would like to spend her life alone.

to all the wonderful ladies out there! I don’t know what the world would be like without women, and I am happy to be one myself. The weather is murky today, but here are some Robin photos to brighten the mood. Female Robins have a lighter head cap, more grey than black, whereas the males darker head colors are black. I think this one here is a male. The Robins have steadily started to reclaim their territory here, and it is awesome to hear their song echo across the yard in the evenings and mornings.
