In addition, you can jump three times the normal distance, though you can’t jump farther than your remaining movement will allow. Charge. Common Kits – Izzet League
This week’s release takes us back to Ravnica again, with another visit to our good friends (and my favorite Ravnican guild!) the Izzet League. This release is part of a new series I’ll be slowly working on called Common Kits. The idea is to design common & uncommon magic items that can be given to NPCs of a specific faction, offering encounters with them better flavor and more strategic depth. It also lets DMs put magic items into their player’s hands earlier on, without unbalancing later encounters or levels.
As always, if you’d like to get early access to release like this, vote in weekly polls to decide what I make (*like which faction I make items for next), and get access to exclusive patron content like 5e version of all of the charms from Hollow Knight, you can do that by signing up to support me over on Patreon. It’s as little as $2/month, for a guaranteed 5 releases each month (what a bargain!)

Time Hopper
Wondrous item, very rare, galactic
This fob watch is infused with powerful temporal magic. You can use an action to set the time on the watch face to between 1 and 60 seconds. The time remains set until you use a bonus action to press the button at the top of the watch, sending you forward in time the number of seconds set on the watch face. At the end of that time, you reappear in the same space. No time passes for you, and to others you appear to vanish and then reappear. The time hopper can be used once per day.

Shadespell Earrings - Wondrous Item (Slotless/Equippable)
A magic item for the Shadeflesh Assailant.
Tumblr media
Artwork by Crafty Wonderland.
This is a magic item to give a creature very limited spellcasting with a shadow theme. It's an expensive item that turns a martial character into a 1/3 spellcaster like a ranger or paladin, and I designed it to be used by the Shadeflesh Assailant, a very high level enemy NPC that I posted earlier this month. However, if you're running a campaign where the players can't actually sell the magic items they get, there's nothing about this item that makes it too powerful to give out as treasure as early as level 4. It scales with the wearer's level, after all.
Earrings aren't actually an item slot in Pathfinder, so this item is slotless, but it still can't be worn at the same time as other magic earrings.
Shadespell Earrings - Wondrous Item
Aura strong illusion and necromancy; CL 13th; Slot none (equipped); Price 90000 gp; Weight —
DESCRIPTION
These onyx earrings benefit only creatures with at least 4 class levels in any class. A creature wearing shadespell earrings gains Spellcasting (if he already has Spellcasting from one of his classes, he gains it again, as if multiclassing). The wearer is considered a prepared divine spellcaster, gaining spell slots at the same rate as a ranger, treating his total level as his ranger level. Like a ranger, he uses Wisdom for spellcasting, and his caster level is 3 lower than his total level.
The wearer of shadespell earrings can prepare spells from the antipaladin spell list, as well as any illusion and necromancy spells from the witch spell list. If a spell appears on both spell lists at different spell levels, the wearer uses the lower spell level.
The earrings count as a holy symbol for spells with a divine focus component.
These earrings have no effect for the first 24 hours after being worn. A creature cannot wear shadespell earrings at the same time as other magic earrings; doing so disrupts both magic items and causes them to give no benefit.
CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
Feats Craft Wondrous Item, Spell Focus (illusion), Spell Focus (necromancy) Other Creator must be able to cast 4th-level divine spells Cost 45,000 gp

''A ring incrusted with what is usually a lifeless grey gem now glows with the soul of its occupant''
You see this ring? Yeah, its Alenya right now.
I wasnt happy with the look of the Ring of Mind Shielding so I designed my own! Looks a bit generic and unassuming, thats what I like from it.

[Well, the last week was informative. I learned a lot about how much the blog's notes are dependent on a few larger blogs reblogging my stuff. Also that by and large, y'all weren't that interested in my goblins. Noted.]
[Also, why does 5e have to be so wordy about everything? In Pathfinder I coulda just said something like "the attack's crit multiplier is increased by 1" and left it at that. Or the boilerplate "a creature affected by this spell can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a success, the spell ends for that creature." Like, what? In 4e that woulda been two words: "Save ends," and there's a little note somewhere easy to find that defines that. How many pages coulda been saved from the monster manual and player's handbook with something like that in 5e? A not insignificant number I'd bet.]
Lucky’s Coin
Wondrous Item, Rare, Requires Attunement
This simple necklace consists of a large coin with a small bullet hole near the edge, through which a leather cord has been run. While attuned to it, the wearer feels exceptionally lucky.
Heads, I Win: When you are subjected to a critical hit, the amulet turns that hit into a normal hit. Any effects triggered by a critical hit are canceled. Further, you gain resistance to damage dealt by that attack. Once the amulet negates a critical hit in this way, it can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
Tails, You Lose: When you score a critical hit, the amulet enhances the attack. Roll the damage dice a third time and add the result to the total damage. Once the amulet enhances a critical hit in this way, it can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
(Appears as Precognition in-game)

⭐ New Item!
Phantom Saddle - Rare, Wondrous Item. Requires Attunement. A saddle made of leather infused with the wispy remains of undead Shadows. When placed on a mount, the saddle provides an increase in its stealth capabilities. When in dim light or darkness, the mount and its rider gains advantage on all stealth rolls. Ride like the Wind. Once per day, the saddle allows you to cast the spell Gaseous Form, turning yourself and your mount into a single cloud of mist. This cloud moves at half the speed of your mount, but otherwise follows the normal limitations of the spell. When the spell wears off, both creatures return to their original forms.

Arcanatober Day 23– Mahadi’s Mystical Pack of Potions
Named for the famous rakshasa owner of the Emporium of Wonders, who you might have met if you’ve played the Descent Into Avernus campaign. The actual card for today’s draw was the Seven of Cups– or as it’s called in my deck, the Seven of Skulls. Kind of an appropriate mix, don’t you think?

Joke Brick
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a bard)
The Joke Brick appears as an unremarkable clay brick. While holding this brick, when you cast a concentration spell, you may choose to send the brick to a separate pocket dimension as part of the spell's casting. Upon losing concentration on that spell, you may choose to either have the brick hit a target within 60 ft. or return to your possession. If you choose to have this brick hit a target, it deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every round since starting concentration on the spell to a maximum of 10d6 bludgeoning damage, or half that damage upon succeeding a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw. This damage counts as magic weapon damage for the sake of overcoming resistances and immunities. If the brick is used this way, you may not do so again until the next dawn.

Watch of Many Gadgets
Wondrous item, rare, scientific
This multifunctional watch gives you a +1 bonus to your Charisma (up to a maximum of 20) and advantage on checks with hacker’s tools. The watch appears superficially ordinary; a DC 17 Perception or Investigation check is required to determine its true nature.
The watch automatically detects and displays the local time of any planet it is on, as well as the name of the planet and local jurisdiction (kingdom, city, etc.). You can use the watch as a timer or stopwatch. The watch is a communicator.
The watch has 4 charges, which it regains at dawn. You can expend 1 charge as an action to do one of the following:
Record up to 10 minutes of audio or video (1 hour can be stored in total).
Replay audio or project a hologram from an earlier recording.
Transmit an audio or video file over radio or a network.
Configure the compass, giving you advantage on ability checks against becoming lost.
Deploy a nanobot.
Scan a Tiny object or the air near the watch for the presence of radiation or poison.
Extend a miniature blade capable of cutting through rope after 1d4 rounds.
Fire a miniature rocket at a target within 30 feet. The rocket automatically hits and deals 1d4 piercing damage.
Emit a small electric shock, dealing 1d4 lightning damage to a creature within 6 inches of the watch.

Hare Ornament - Wondrous Item (headband)
An item with a terrible pun for a name, created for the Wizard Rabbit.
Tumblr media
Artwork by PoppyseedPaws on Etsy.
This is an unusual item, designed mainly to allow a non-spellcasting character to take levels in a spellcasting class they wouldn't otherwise be able to use. Although a +6 enhancement bonus seems like a lot, the way this item is designed makes it basically only useful for multiclassing or for creatures that don't get to choose their ability scores (aka NPCs). Looking at the point buy math, I figure this is actually only as worth as much as a +2 headband would be for a typical spellcaster, and priced it accordingly.
The wizard rabbit uses this item; one of five NPCs I created based on the game Rabbit and Steel. Anthropomorphic animals start with only 3 intelligence, so she needs it badly.
Hare Ornament - Wondrous Item
Aura moderate transmutation; CL 8th; Slot headband; Price 4,000 gp; Weight —
DESCRIPTION
A hare ornament is an accessory designed to attach to a rabbit's ear, although it can also clip onto a hairband. The wearer of a hare ornament treats her Intelligence as having an enhancement bonus of +6, to a maximum of 16, but only for the purposes of spellcasting in classes that use Intelligence for spellcasting. This affects spell DCs, spells per day, the ability to cast spells of higher levels, the effects of spells, and so forth. The hare ornament has no effect on skill points, any other class feature, or any other use of Intelligence.
Treat this as a temporary ability bonus for the first 24 hours the hare ornament is worn.
