From Unification Church in Japan about the Woo Group
Mr. Tatsunori Okamoto (6000 Couples), who believes that Mr. Myung Sik Woo has a “special mission,” distributed a document called “95+13 Proposals” in September 2003, and was giving lectures on the so-called “Complete Testament Principle,” recruiting blessed families to his “Tribal Association”.
After studying the Okamoto theory and deciding that it was something that could not be ignored, the three of us (Mitsuo Mori, Masayuki Kachi, and Seiji Takeuchi) summarized the errors of his teachings into 23 different points and published a book called Correcting the Errors of the Spiritual Group, Tribal Association! (Kogensha) on January 25, 2006.
Mr. Okamoto’s group tried to refute Correcting the Errors on their Tribal Association homepage, but seeing that they were at a disadvantage, they closed the website and fled.
They disappeared for some time but returned with a different name, the “Second Generation Counseling Corner”, and published The Problems with the Salvation Theory (November 1, 2008) and One Hundred Proposals (March 24, 2009).  Their new disguised website is called the “Second Generation Counseling Corner” and they have recently been targeting the second generation who are not aware of this group’s real nature.
Mr. Okamoto uses strategies in common with many anti-UC groups.  The three strategies adopted by the anti-UC groups, such as communists and individuals like Mr. Sadao Asami, are as follows:
The anti-UC groups 1Attack Reverend Moon calling him Satan (criticizing the founder), 2Criticize the Divine Principle [referred to as the DP hereafter] as an “immature teaching” (criticizing the DP) and 3Attack the UnificationChurch by describing the “horrible reality of the church” (criticizing the state of the church).
In Mr. Okamoto’s case, he pretends to take the position of a reformist within the UC, but in reality, attacks the church in the same three ways as the anti-UC groups do.  His criticisms are, however, more distorted and subtle.
1Mr. Okamoto’s Criticisms of the Founder
Although Mr. Okamoto claims that he has not criticized Reverend Moon, we wrote in the book Correcting the Errors, that he teaches that “Reverend Moon cannot complete the mission of human salvation” (p. 233).  Mr. Okamoto admits this and goes on to say that Reverend Moon will resurrect through his second coming as the “fourth Adam” (grandson=Mr. Woo’s illegitimate child) in order to become perfect (which is the reason why they are called a spiritual group), and that the purpose of Reverend Moon’s whole life course was to witness in the fourth Adam as a John the Baptist role.
Those who are deceived by this lie end up losing absolute faith for in “imperfect Reverend Moon” and start following the fourth Adam (a false Messiah) made up by Mr. Okamoto’s group.  There is not a more subtle and effective way to make believers abandon their absolute faith in Reverend Moon, who has obtained a victory as the Messiah and as True Parents.
2Mr. Okamoto’s Criticisms of the Divine Principle
The Okamoto theory claims the limitations of the DP.  They point out the part where it says “only a part of the new truth” in the Introduction, and insist that the DP has limitations.  The theory distorts the Principle of Creation and creates its own theory of the fall, developing an entirely separate salvation theory and a providential view.  Once you believe in the Okamoto theory, you abandon the theory of the Human Fall in the DP.  The content is similar to the criticisms of the Human Fall made by Mr. Sadao Asami.
3Mr. Okamoto’s Criticisms on the Reality of the Church
Mr. Okamoto criticizes the UnificationChurch from the same standpoint as other anti-UC groups, but even more harshly.  Mr. Okamoto’s so-called “Exposition of Completed Testament Principle” is built upon the criticism of the marriage Blessing and blessed families.  He even criticizes True Mother and True Children.  He claims that the original sin is not cleansed through the Blessing by Reverend Moon and his wife, and that blessed families are a “foundation to prepare to receive the Messiah, and are in a pre-salvation position” (One Hundred Proposals, p. 355), degrading their historical value.
This is why it is essential to correct the errors of the Okamoto theory.  It is a problem we cannot ignore.  The three strategies of Mr. Okamoto and his group share the same purpose as other anti-UC groups; to destroy the UnificationChurch.  The Okamoto theory professes that it is based on Reverend Moon’s teachings.  It is hostile to the UnificationChurch founded by Reverend Moon, going so far as to urge blessed families to escape from the “ship inhabited by Satan.” (Note: it refers to the UC.)
They have recently been active in Europe and Hawaii, trying to recruit new blessed families in foreign countries, after facing some difficulties in Japan where the booklet Correcting the Errors is circulating among most church members.
We hope that by studying this booklet and understanding the errors of Mr. Okamoto who belongs to the Woo group, nobody will be victimized by the group.
Along with this booklet, we also recommend the books, Correcting the Errors of the Spiritual Group, Tribal Association and Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Copyright Part II, both published by Kogensha.

Do you know any fics similar to The Mating Privilege or I Don’t Like the Way She’s Looking at You? Just some stories where Derek isn’t the *best* mate/bf/husband etc or they have to pretend to not be together and ends up with stiles feeling neglected or ignored.
I’ve also read “how I long for yesterday” and “worth it” for those that want something similar but not quite what I’m looking for!
First of all. "How I Long for Yesterday" is my fic. So this made my day.
Tumblr media
How I Long For Yesterday by sweetbutterbliss
(1/1 I 6,017 I Mature I Sterek)
Stiles blinks, his throat going dry, and he moves his thumb without thinking - liking the post. He feels a surge of petty satisfaction. At least the fucker will know he knows now. He stands up, his body feeling too heavy, and he blows out the already guttering candles. He lets out a sob of frustration when the last one won’t fucking blow out. But he sucks it back in and bites down on his tongue, using his thumb and forefinger instead. He throws himself into their empty bed without undressing. He lies there repeating the words ‘Derek blew me off for Isaac’ over and over. He tells himself to shut up while rearranging his pillow violently, but he goes to sleep with the refrain continuing its painful loop.
Worth It by dragneels
(1/1 I 1,670 I General I Sterek)
He hadn’t thought even for a second, instincts roaring, and jumped in front of Derek, taking the blow. And then he got lost in the darkness. also known as the "stiles telling derek that he's worth everything" fic no one asked for
***
As the seconds tick by by Halevetica
(1/1 I 3,972 I Not Rated)
When Derek picks up a new contract, he starts showing up late and missing important dates making Stiles feel unimportant. Derek is sure the contract is worth it, but Stiles doesn't understand why.
I'm Torn Do I Stay Do I Go by Adaline_Stilinski
(2/2 I 6,963 I General)
Derek had been focusing on making alliances with other packs around Beacon Hills to protect his pack but in doing so he started to neglect Stiles and there relationship. Stiles get's sick of it and decided to leave for some time apart is it going to help be like the stories Stiles reads and write about how distance makes love grow or will they both realise that there better apart. Will tragedy bring them together
Aberration by JackalPinesOfHouseEvergreen
(11/? I 29,415 I Teen)
Derek is a hot-shot lawyer who is very focused on his work. Stiles is his loving husband who does his best to fit into Derek's high-class family. He's hit some major roadblocks though. He feels neglected and unloved, and worse when Derek ditches him at his own family's parties which leave him humiliated as he tries to appear like their marriage isn't failing.
As an old member comes during some important werewolf ceremony to stir the pot, Derek's relationship with his family and Stiles is tested more than ever. Derek's world has been rocked and turned upside down.
And Stiles? Stiles is trying to find out who he is in the absence of the one he loves. As much as he believes in Derek and in their relationship, Stiles needs to find his self-worth that got lost along the way. Remember the fire he had inside of him as he got in the face of those that looked down at him, the fierceness of his intelligence that made others fear and respect him. Remember how fun life was...
Derek and Stiles drift a bit as Derek realizes he has to woo Stiles again, because he will not risk losing the love of his life. Not again.
The Mating Privilege by Kikileduc
(12/12 I 35,380 I Mature)
Stiles and Derek have been happily mated. The pack is doing well, but in hopes of creating alliances for it to do better, Derek accepts a neighboring pack's request to allow two wolves to join the Hale-McCall pack for a full moon cycle. They hope to form a blood-tie, or at least a long term friendship between the two packs. The issue is Kohona, the tribal leader's daughter, has her eyes set on an unavailable alpha wolf. This could have drastic consequences for their young emissary, however...
Til We Ain't Strangers Anymore by WriteByNight
(7/7 I 35,994 I Explicit)
Stiles should've expected Derek to suddenly disappear since the werewolf was in the habit of taking off without notice. However, Derek always showed up when they needed him.
As the weeks pass by, Stiles is no longer confused and a little hurt. What started as heartache begins to get worse the longer Stiles goes without seeing Derek. Eventually, his body begins to shut down and his only hope seems to be Derek...but nobody can find him.
There's no cure for a broken heart. Except, maybe, the cause for the broken heart himself.
- - -
Or the one where Derek takes off without warning and Stiles finds out he could be Derek's mate and the distance between Derek and Stiles, along with Derek's refusal to develop the bond, is slowly killing Stiles. Without Derek, Stiles will die, but no one knows where he is or how to contact him. And Stiles is barely keeping it together.

hype level for future mtg releases (this is genuine btw i cant sleep because my leg hurts so bad let me have this)
Murders at Karlov Manor (Q1 2024):
15%. i kinda get the vibes. theres some interesting things generally but im not sure this one is for me. i like clue tokens so im excited for some support in that area but. ill probably pass on buying any of this
Outlaws of Thunder Junction (Q2 2024):
like 35%? its cool! i like the west quite a lot, everyones excited for deadbeat dad oko. im just not expecting a ton and id love to be proven wrong! new planes are always fun and it would be a delight to fall in love with thunder junction but my expectations are very tempered. supposedly its about "villians"-- of which my biggest dream is a reveal of a phyrexian that wasnt killed onscreen to be hanging out there. rakdos would be cool too.
Modern Horizons 3 (Q2 2024)
90%. i cant wait frankly. modern horizons 1 and 2 feature some of my favorite magic cards ever and ive never been around for a modern horizons release so im just so excited. cant wait. big fan i bet there will be so many cool cards dude holy shit
Assassin's Creed (Q3 2024):
5%. i dont give a shit about assassins creed. i like the aesthetics of black flag i guess. this is a set with boosters and the cards will supposedly be modern legal(?) but they arent draftable so thats gonna be a shitshow when the boosters are overpriced and you cant even run limited events with them like MAT but like. at least MAT was awesome and had a bunch of banging cards and introduced cool deciduous mechanics to standard and gave us [[Rocco, Street Chef]]. all this is giving us is ezio or some shit
Bloomburrow (Q3 2024):
75%!! woo!!!!! i cant wait for the little animals set. i like little animals. i would really like one of them to wear a thimble
things i want specifically out of bloomburrow:
give us kwain lore! kwain is such an important little guy to our playgroup we would all love a new kwain or some kwain backstory and there has never been a better time for it
fox tribal 🥺🥺🥺🥺 boros please plzplzplz i need fire foxes i need evil foxes i need foxes so bad i want a fox tribal commander ill do anything
Duskmourn (Q3 2024):
45%. wrenny is hyped for this one but i dont think ill be biting tbh. its cool! i like the vibes :) just not for me is what it seems like right now. maybe like LCI the set design and mechanics will be so sick that its just awesome but the setting isnt catching me
Not gonna talk about innistrad remastered i will not be buying that. give me anime art tamiyo
"Tennis" 2025 (death race across multiple planes with cars):
15%. i like vehicles but like. i feel like this one will kinda skew corny in a way i wont vibe with. the technology seems like kind of a lot too. cool idea, i hope its executed well
"Ultimate" 2025 (Return to Tarkir):
65%! i like tarkir :) they wont print the stupid fetches but whatever. tarkir is super swag and i hope they can resolve the weird multiverse tarkir thing and give us a swag set i believe in them. also ugin reappearance maybe........
Final Fantasy 2025:
100%. i am so onboard with final fantasy dude i feel like it will be so fucking cool compared to like marvel or doctor who or whatever. final fantasy fits so perfectly with the other mtg planes and theres so many interesting things to pull from every game could be its own set so the fact that theres like so much shit there like its so exciting like i cant wait for this one. im gonna play final fantasy 6 with wrenny before it comes out so thats exciting too teehee ^_^
"Volleyball" 2025 (top down space opera set):
95%. a space opera could be so fucking cool. im worried theyll fumble the bag and make it really fucking star warsy and thats a truly terrifying thought but i have faith that we can get so see some more interesting and solemn parts of space in magic the gathering. i think a plane with fledgeling space operations and wild star littered frontiers would be so fucking sick and thats like maybe one of my dream sets. please dont fuck this one up
"Wrestling" 2025 (Lorwyn reimagining)
cool. i like what they did to kamigawa. um idk 30%
"Yachting" 2025 (Arcavios/strixhaven)
yippee!!! 55%? i like strixhaven but showing off more of arcavios is what im really super into here cuz i feel like that could be a lot of fun. its an interesting plane i wanna see more
um anyway ill try to sleep again now i guess

Amaro Freitas — Y’Y (Psychic Hotline)
Tumblr media
Jazz pianist Amaro Freitas laces his fusion-y jazz with sounds of the rain forest in this expansive outing, infusing fluid reveries of keyboard with tropical rhythm and heat and intimating the sounds of water, birds and insect life. A native of Brazil’s northeastern Pernambuco state, he is as steeped in the music of rain forest peoples like the Sateré Mawé indigenous community as in the jazz canon, and he has strong connections to a global jazz scene, as demonstrated by cameos from Brandee Younger, Jeff Parker and Shabaka Hutchins.  The music slips, sometimes, into soft-focus, new age-y mysticism, but at its best conveys clear-eyed wonder at the heritage human beings are in the process of destroying.
Y’Y proceeds smoothly from one cut to another, so that you are not always sure without looking about exactly where you are in its sequence. Indeed, you could think of it as one long track, flowing majestically downstream like the river that inspired it. Nonetheless, there are scenes with in it, the trebly, altered piano notes that weave through knocks and booms and twitterings in the opening “Mainguari (Encantado da Mata”) one of two cuts dedicated to Amazonian spirits. “Uiara,” the second, sets brief agitated flights of piano against the sound of wood groaning; it sounds like bird song in the midst of rain. The piano becomes more insistent as the cut goes on, hammering and pounding and making staccato chords. It pulses with life, evolving, intertwining, competing life, as abundant as the life in the jungle.
The title track is particularly good at balancing traditional, tribal sounds with the fluencies of jazz. It starts in a stretched out chant, the thump of hand-drums, a metallic clash of tonal percussion. The reedist Shabaka Hutchings plays an airy flute over this, a hoarse whisper of melody over spare percussion. The piano enters, first as a single note played again and again, and then more lavishly, with chords. The piece has an open-ended inquiry to it as the musicians explore connections between jazz and ritual music.
Tortoise guitarist Jeff Parker guests on “Mar de Cirandeiras,” dropping smooth elegiac runs into a groove set by Freitas’ playing. It’s maybe the track that sounds the closest to American jazz, but even here, a tropical heat envelops the sound. And finally, the Chicago harpist Brandee Younger takes a hand in “Glorioso,” in graceful runs and flourishes. You could hardly imagine two instruments less suited to the Amazon than piano and harp, but they flourish here, unencumbered by humidity.
Y’Y has its lovely moments, but it wallows sometimes in woo-woo-y mysticism. It’s a bit soft and cushiony, hard edges sanded down to harmless auras. That’s why “Encantados,” late in the album, is such a kick, rushing ahead on running bass and drums, piano and flute bits flying off as it takes the corners on two wheels.  The Amazon may be full of gorgeous tranquility, but how nice, just this once, to hear it lift up its head and roar.

fic: hey, that's me (and i want you only) by whitchbhitch and it’s sequel (tknp non-hockey au/virgin!nolan/confident and competent bass pro shop clerk!tk/grindr meetup)
book: Human Omega series by Eileen Glass (nothing deep or poetic about this. just a captured space marine being wooed and fucked and protected by two giant alien men. it’s a trilogy, I’m about halfway through the second book.)
poetry: When My Brother Was An Aztec by Natalie Diaz (familial trauma. mental illness. drug addiction. tribal life.)
hey, that's me (and I want you only) is now on my TBR list. Thank you!
I'm looking up Human Omega right the fuck now. That is an INCREDIBLE rec.
Natalie Diaz is one of the great loves of my life. I own a copy of Postcolonial Love Poem and it's incredible. I've read two poems from When My Brother Was An Aztec: Why I Don’t Mention Flowers When Conversations with My Brother Reach Uncomfortable Silences and My Brother At 3AM both of which just absolutely gutted me. (mind the trigger warnings. they're intense)
What is there to say to a man / who has traversed such a world, / whose hands and eyes have / betrayed him? // Were there flowers there? I asked.

don't get cocky, kid
Tumblr media
survivor! that show where people go "huh, it's still going on?". the show where people get the line "you have been voted off this island"... which isn't what they actually say, at all. it's "the tribe has spoken". sometimes they're not even on an island! see: seasons australian outback, kenya, brazil, guatemala, china, gabon, nicaragua... anyway they're forever in fiji now
my friend got me into it and we watch it together in a discord call, and this season (s44) we get to watch it week-by-week as it airs. i was trying to eat my dinner at the dining hall and then i glimpse at the tv and i see kane giving a confessional saying "don't get cocky, kid" and i was like oh shit oh god don't spoil me aaaaaaa
anyway we watched the episode like three days later.
my pre-season winner pick is frannie and last episode her showmance partner, matt, got voted out and became the first member of the jury so i was afraid she'd get booted next! if she doesn't win immunity then it's going to get dicey
but then we see carson throwing up in the bushes because he got sick from eating the pb&j sandwiches from the reward last episode. this season has already had a medivac and a quit (due to medical reasons) which hasn't happened since micronesia (s16)!
Tumblr media
depending on what the upcoming challenge was he could still be able to partake -- he's been a challenge beast because he's smart, strong, and has had tons of practice with previous iterations of puzzles which haven't been changed at all from past seasons. they're told to make pairs but aren't told whether they will be working together or against each other.
the pairs are carson and carolyn; frannie and heidi; jaime and yam yam; brandon and kane; danny and lauren.
we get to the challenge and oh god it's that stupid untwisting net tunnel in mud obstacle at the start! we saw this last season (s43) and two people got so stuck in them that they had to cut the rope to get them out of it.
so yeah guess what, carolyn gets stuck in the net. carolyn so far has been the most prominent character of the season-- the season even starts with a cold open of the making of a carolyn confessional. as she's stuck in the net, squawking like a bird, carson is trying to cheer her on but he does it in such a weak voice it makes the whole thing hilarious. needless to say, they are eliminated from the challenge.
Tumblr media
honestly i didn't pay attention the second part but frannie and heidi & jaime and yamyam got eliminated at this step so that's not good for frannie. either she has to get two people to flip in order for the vote to go 5-4 on someone else or someone has to play an idol on her, or she's gone.
the last part of the challenge, the pairs are split and now it's a 1v1v1v1 where they have to balance their feet on little footholds. at certain intervals, they have to step down onto smaller holds - it's a live transition, so if they fall during it they're out. this obstacle has been seen plenty of times before but here, they're caked in mud.
the challenge favors smaller and lighter people. after stepping down two levels, kane drops soon after and everyone compliments kane's hair (which is tied up into a bun) as he walks over to sit with the others. later on, brandon also drops.
danny says jeff's name. jeff says danny's name. danny farts, and everyone laughs.
danny and lauren go down to the last level. they squirm for a couple of seconds, and finally danny drops. girls get it done, woo!
here are the tribal lines at the moment:
ratu (orange) is brandon, kane, lauren, and jaime. sotu (green) is danny, frannie, and heidi. tika (purple) is carson, carolyn, and yam yam.
as they head back to camp, danny admits in a confessional that he would've been gunning for lauren if she hadn't won, but regardless he's going to aim for a member of old ratu because they have the majority and have been running the game.
brandon and kane want to vote frannie. danny tells heidi that he has an idol and is going to play it for frannie. heidi tells yam yam and carson. we then actually see danny telling frannie his plan. carson tells danny then heidi spilled the beans.
so we get to tribal council. it's common for someone who's in trouble to be sitting closest to jeff and you bet frannie was in that seat. they make analogies as always and then they go to vote.
danny plays the idol on frannie. i cheer as the ratus look nervously at each other. frannie and matt are making lovey-dovey smileys at each other across the room.
jeff reads the votes.
frannie, does not count. frannie, does not count. frannie, does not count. frannie, does not count. frannie, does not count. frannie, does not count...
brandon. brandon, two votes brandon. ninth member voted out and the second member of our jury... brandon, that's three, that's enough!
as they head back to camp, danny tells jeff "good night" and frannie gives one last smile to matt.
my girl's still in! now that the tribes have even numbers, it should get the target off her back for a bit.
danny might have some heat on him but so does kane, given that he was very close with brandon. kane successfully diverted votes off him in the past but we'll just have to see next week.

I re-read my own reply and realised again how much a person omits during a conversation, and how easy it is to misunderstand someone online.
"He is there to be a nice hyung, but he doesn't invest emotionally."
Taeil cried when 127 gave a concert in Chicago, because he was glad for Johnny, who finally visited his hometown after a very long absence. Of course many would think I distorted Taeil's personality, painted him in dark colours or something. In reality, I omitted "in comparison to Taeyong/Doyoung".
Taeil's kindness lies in his acceptence of others, an easy-going personality, he is very non-chalant about things. He almost choked to death once but thinks of it as a funny incident to tell people, he doesn't easily take offence. His selfishness lies in that he doesn't like to go out of his way to do something for others if there is no reason to, he wants things simpler, more comfortable. And it's not even a flaw, it's just his temperament. It helps him to co-habit peacefully with other people (everyone in NCT loves him), but stands in the way of him becoming the most popular member (one needs to be a workaholic for it, push for things, do extra).
Nouratan mentioned how Taeyong likes Doyoung more than Jaehyun, and how he is Jae's rival. And I agree, the triangle is actually complicated. Taeyong has a "rude boy" tattoo. He isn't filled with only rainbows, he wouldn't be able to write the type of lyrics he writes (interestingly, he likes comparing love to poison). That being sad, whatever jealousy and envy he has, he wants to be a good person, so he works on bettering himself and not acting following "bad voices".
I can call Doyoung "selective", say he prefers his faves to be champions, preferably obedient, and definitely acknowledging his work, being thankful to him. It doesn't negate the fact that Doyoung built bonds with all new neos and asked if YangYang was eating as well during a lunch break (i.e. keeps an eye on all present neos). He is both a private, small close circle person, and a tribal chef who can take care of tens of people (actually, thousands, if we take into consideration his fans).
It might be pleasant to think of idols and biases as perfect beings, but I think it's more healthy and benefitial to accept their complexity. I hear from psychiatrists all the time that people grow up with set notions about "ideal partners" and then have problems with failed relationships because they can't accept the reality. There is the problem of stereotyping people from different nations, the cancel culture, too.
Personally, I find that knowing weaknesses/flaws of celebreties help to see better how they achieve their goals despite having them. This way they set a better example, than an idolised "blessed and talented from birth" imaginary person.
There are traits that fans notice and accept, like Woo being nervous at the start of his career, but there are many more that are overlooked (neos' ability to live and work together despite some quarrels).

Paulie D and Boston Rob butt heads a little bit and try to be alpha. Sue Sylvester plans to woo Robert Pattinson, and starts an alliance with Jane Goodall and Sigourney Weaver to get the Kool-Aid Man out.
Blue tribe is a shitshow to watch but they get camp set up really quickly. Sisyphus and Evil Jeff Probst start fire without even having flint and steel. Allison from PLL and Tanner Bennett start an alliance and try to get A24 Film Bro to join, but A24 Film Bro seems largely uninterested, upsetting the alliance. No one notices that the bee is part of their tribe, and they all question why they're missing a member.
The challenge is a reward/immunity combo challenge. Evil Jeff Probst keeps glaring at Regular Jeff Probst, angering his team. Yellow wins by a landslide thanks to the effortful direction of Sue Sylvester, but Paulie D gets a little too aggressive about the victory, causing Robert Pattinson to cast doubts.
Back at camp, RPatz approaches Sue Sylvester and promises to vote out Kool Aid Man if they first vote out Paulie D. Due to her love for Robert, Sue agrees. The rest of the alliance has no issue with this.
During Tribal council, Allison plays footsie with film bro. Evil Jeff Probst mouths everything Regular Jeff Probst is saying. Regular Jeff brings attention to the fact that one of the seats is seemingly empty-- the tribe becomes confused and angered.
Votes boil down to 3 votes for Evil Jeff Probst, 4 for Wes Anderson. Wes Anderson is voted out.
