❓Do you find yourself having to remove items from the house in order to stick better to your diet? Or do you have immense will power? ➖ On a fat loss focused path now? 💯 You're in for a treat. # Hunger Hack No.1 - Out of sight, out of mind. # 👀You know the saying “you eat with your eyes” well that’s a load of 💩, you eat with your darn mouth & if you eat too much, you will get pretty fat. However, there is some truth to this saying. # 🤔Every time you see a particular food, you have to make a conscious decision; to eat or not to eat? When we’re trying to stick to our diet this gets tiring, till eventually we find ourselves breaking & eating what we see. 🙄 # 🤨This can quite easily lead to us failing to see the results we want because we stray from our plan. An easy solution is to actually just remove the food from our view, because then we avoid even having to consider it. ➖ 💡Think about that brownie/cake slice or donut that someone so nicely left for "you" that you weren't thinking about until you went to get your water or coffee...then you couldn't stop thinking about it and eventually grabbed it, demolished it QUICKLY so you wouldn't have to "explain" anything to anyone!?😶 # ❌Maybe you need to remove the food from your house, or possibly you can just put it at the back of the pantry. Whatever it is, the less available it becomes, the less likely you’re to eat it. It's not a wonder drug, it's not a diet pill, and it's not a new caffeine source... ⭐ It's sleep! ⭐ Before you say, "Yeah, yeah, I get it" and move on, I promise you, you're gonna want to keep reading. 👉🏾 If you're someone who gets little to no sleep, this is especially for you. Right now. Just 1 or 2 hours of less sleep at night can result in: - Reduced reasoning and problem-solving skills - Less productivity at work - Higher risk of getting into a car accident - Poor interactions with others, excessive moodiness, and even the development of depression - Increased stress hormones causing easy weight gain, strong appetite, and lack of control over eating habits. Yikes! That doesn't sound like the way I'd like to spend this holiday season (or any season, for that matter!) Waking up well-rested can result in: - Clear and focused thoughts - Quicker reflexes - Increased energy to accomplish more tasks - Balanced hormones, allowing appetite and cravings to decrease, and weight loss to occur easily. So how do you get that Sleeping Beauty quality sleep? Here are some tips: 👉🏾 Use dark out curtains and an eye mask to eliminate light 👉🏾 If your partner snores, try wearing earplugs 👉🏾 Don't drink caffeine past 10 am 👉🏾 Eliminate eating RIGHT before bed if possible 👉🏾 Eliminate blue light screens at least an hour before bed (this can be done by using blue light blocker glasses or turning off the blue light on your phone/computer) 👉🏾 Do exercise at some point in the day (just not at least 2 hours before bed) So, does more snooze-time sound like a good-time?! Calling all 🦀🦀Crab Lovers!🦀🦀! . . 🌟Recipe Idea!🌟 . 🦀Low Carb Crab Cakes🦀 Ingredients 1 lb. crab meat, cooked. 1 cup cauliflower florets, steamed well 2 pastured eggs. 3 Tbsp. coconut flour. 3 Tbsp. low carb mayo (homemade or @waldenfarmsinternational mayo). 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped. 1/2 tsp. sea salt. 1/2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning. 2 Tbsp. avocado or coconut oil Directions: In a medium bowl, add the steamed cauliflower. Gently break up into small pieces, mashing some. Leave some pieces intact for texture.Add the crab meat and parsley. Gently fold the mixture to distribute the ingredients evenly without breaking up the crab too much. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, mayonnaise, Old Bay and salt. Pour over the crab meat mixture and gently fold. Sift the coconut flour over the crab and gently fold the mixture until everything is uniform. The coconut flour is what helps give these cakes that crispy-golden crust. Transfer to the fridge to chill and firm up - about 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 F. Remove crab mixture from fridge and form into patties. You can make them about 2 inches thick and 3 inches in diameter. Heat coconut oil in a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. When oil is shimmering, add the crab cakes, be careful to not overcrowd the pan (this will cause steaming, not searing). Cook about 3 minutes to golden brown, then flip and cook another 3 minutes. Place pan-fried crab cakes on a baking sheet and transfer to the preheated oven to cook through (12 to 15 minutes) Serve with fresh lemon wedges and Paleo mayo. Yield: 8 crab cakes Active Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes . Nutrition Information Per Serving 145 calories, 10 g fat, 2 g saturated fat, 3 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 12 g protein .
