we’d been following each other for a little bit and commenting back and forth on each others fics and reblogging and obsessing over each others writing in the tags. i had a tiny… tiny (not tiny) tumblr crush on her so i was keen to try and get DMs moving so i could learn more about her.

she had replied to one of my comments and asked for smut tips so i took the chance to make a flirty comment about my DMs being open and that i don’t bite ‘unless you ask nicely’. it took about another week until she DM’d me (and she won’t let me forget that she technically messaged me first. even though i put the invite out there… jury’s out on who made the first move).

at first it would just be sending a post and laughing at each other’s tags or it would be thirsting over players we both found hot. things really took off at the beginning of march because i had booked a week off work for my birthday and she had time off because she was ill. from then we just could not stop talking back and forth because we had nothing better to do. im thankful we both had that block of free time to talk back and forth and learn all about each other.

i think we were also both just a bit, well, horny, to put it bluntly 🫣 we were just slowly testing the waters and finding out what the dynamic was. we weren’t being specific that things were aimed at each other, but just talking about what we’re into, what we’re attracted to. finding out there was a lot of chemistry between us as well as us finding out we were similar in a lot of other ways… our upbringing, what we’re into outside of woso, just our personalities in general.

it didn’t take long for us to move off of chatting on tumblr and we started speaking on discord, followed each other on other social media platforms, sending each other posts, memes, anything that made us think of the other.

it just blossomed pretty quick from there and we found out that we’re just completely obsessed with each other. i started researching flights and it was cheapest to fly in may or november and we were both like 1) we don’t want to have to wait until november and 2) we may as well find out now if it’s going somewhere or not. we also wanted to meet in person before anything became official.

i was like hey, even if we end up as just friends, i’ll get a holiday to australia out of it which i would not be mad about? i put in a request for 2 weeks off work and was like if they deny it then it’s a sign to not go. but hey presto it was accepted even though i requested it not that far in advance and my workplace get funny over time off sometimes

but yeah - must have worked out pretty well since im now moving there! about a month now until the big move 🫡
