I already know this would never happen, because Cecil has left Nightvale before.

BUT 

How fucked would it be if he couldn’t? 

Like if something truly horrifying and dangerous was happening that everyone had to leave town, and he was the only one who couldn’t. Trapped within the bounds of Nightvale by an invisible barrier. 

Carlos desperately trying to get Cecil out, he didn’t want to leave his husband behind, for once he didn’t want to to run away and forget. 

Esteban crying and trying to get back to Cecil as they have no choice but to leave without him. 

Cecil telling them it was okay. Forcing himself to be strong for the two of them. Watching them leave. And continuing to broadcast the destruction of the town.

Carlos and Esteban listening to Cecil over the radio in the car, it slowly becoming more and more static filled until it cuts out entirely when they are out of range.
