#homegrownkcadventure: The Original Kansas City, KS Last weekend I visited the Wyandotte County Museum to see their current special exhibit on the original KCK from its founding in 1868 to its consolidation into the "new" Kansas City, KS in 1886. The exhibit discusses how the city was first settled, immigration, the meatpacking industry particularly the Armour Packing Co, education, religion, and the environment. The exhibit ends Feb 18, 2023. I also spoke with Directory Amy Loch about this exhibit. Patron episode will be available tomorrow.
