I have big feeling about Richie Jerimovich. I have big feelings because as person, I don't like him. The only times I really like Richie when he interacts with Carmy. And there is something about their relationship, the awkwardness, the lack of really knowing each other combined with a very real common history that fascinates to me. And it fascinates me because it gives Richie a very genuine depth that asshole characters don't usually get without betraying who they are.

Richie and Carmy are very much trying to be each other's stand-in for Michael. And they fail a lot. Not just because neither is Mikey, but because they're not friends. They might be the best example of true family, a person you wouldn't ordinarily know but are dependent on regardless. Their first scene is Richie mad at Carmy for not coming home immediately when Mikey died and leaving Richie to pick up the pieces. And Carmy's a dick right back to him calling out the fact that for all the family this and family that between Richie and Mikey, Mikey still left The Beef to his real brother.

And it makes me wonder how much of Richie's life has/had been given over to Mikey and the Berzattos in an effort to be part of the family. It seems pretty obvious that Richie hasn't always managed The Beef. He went to trade school, worked for Cicero, had a wife though Mikey and The Beef are likely the reason she's an ex. But Richie also knows he's fucked up. It's his Xanex. He goes out on a real date in a nice suit. Even when he ends in jail it's in the act of protecting Carmy from getting hit during the bachelor party/melee. He's an adult. Maybe not a great one and still an asshole, but he knows he's a grown up. I'm not entirely sure Carmy does. He stays all night in the police station after Richie is arrested and uses the two-week parachute as bail money, but that's not smart. That's clinging to the last vestiges of his dead brother. And yet, it's Richie who says he only has Carmy left. It's sad. One of the saddest admissions of a show about grief. Carmy does his best for Richie. He genuinely cares, I think, but he's not much to lean on. Carmy has not just his own shit to deal with he has dreams that Mikey set up so he could follow them through and ultimately a partner in Sydney who can make them happen.

I end up feeling really bad for Richie not because he's asshole but because he let Mikey, charismatic, dynamic Mikey be his whole world when he should have been saving himself. Now, he's left trying to figure out how to mourn his best friend, not a brother, not even a real cousin, and that's quite genuinely sad.

Since her debut in 2018, Jung Yoonah has been entangled in drugs, sex, and a debilitating mental illness. Through screenshots, personal recounts, and never-before-seen photos a turbulent timeline is revealed to the public.

Jung Yoonah has the most dating scandals in VENUS, having accumulated ten dating rumors over the years. Throughout the years, Dispatch has had a collection of photos of her with a total of 15 different men through leaked photos and photos taken by the site ourselves.

The photos mainly consist of men under Angelico or men she's met at clubs that she used to often frequent. From 2019 to 2022 it's been a well know secret that Yoonah would frequent such clubs as The Blue Room, The Circle, and Devil's Lock and Key all three notorious for their excessive drug use and where to go to find a quick hook up. All three of these clubs have been investigated by the police, The Blue Room recently being shut down due to an underground sex ring operating inside the club. The other two while not shut down are still hot spots for drug dealers and drug users.

With proof from medical records, Jung Yoonah once suffered an apparent overdose due to a high dose of Xanex in 2019. She was held in hospital for one week before being released. Upon further review of her medical records, in 2022 when she was on hiatus for "personal reason" she was spending time in a mental health facility where she was treated for "Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and Dependency to Illegal Substances" for the entirety of 2022.

According to old friends, Yoonah was never sober when they'd see her. "She'd always be zoning out or staring at you with her mouth open. It was clear she was never there," Kim Jaewoo, a former idol and producer for VENUS would go onto say, "She would do anything anyone would give her. She would get a lot of nose bleeds for a reason."

Another friend, who has chosen to stay anonymous, said this about Yoonah: "She would do several lines of coke every day. If she didn't get her fix, she was insane. She used to hit me when I'd refused to give her drugs. She was very violent when she didn't get what she wanted."

But this is not the only account of Yoonah's abusive behavior. Screenshots of her text conversations with her current partner, soloist, and actor Kang Juwon. The couple started their relationship in 2019 but were on the rocks until this year. The texts below are from Juwon's former manager taken in 2020. The manager told Dispatch he only had the screenshots due to Juwon being scared of Yoonah and what she could do in her unstable state.

It's said that this is not the only instance of Yoonah being verbally abusive towards her partners. Many remember the video of her yelling at DeepDive member and former romantic partner Jacob Lee. The fan-taken video was posted to Twitter by an anonymous Twitter account in 2019.

Jacob and Yoonah are seen arguing inaudibly on the street in front of the Angelico gates. The argument, though practically inaudible, is clearly intense by the hand movements of both idols. Jacob points to himself as he shouts something, giving Yoonah a wide-eyed look, while Yoonah throws her hands up, yelling something at the elder. Jacob looks bewildered by her response, leaning in to get in her face, making Yoonah shove him harshly. The video ends.

The video, though making its rounds on Twitter after its release, it was deleted and so was the account that posted the video.

The compiled evidence points to a troubling narrative surrounding Jung Yoonah's reliability and stability. Her entanglement in controversies involving drugs, multiple relationships, mental health struggles, and aggressive behavior suggests a deeply concerning pattern that warrants further attention. As her career unfolds, the unsettling aspects of her personal life continue to cast a shadow over her public image.

after seeing a tweet about season 2 coming out I thought now would be a good time start The Bear to fulfill my need to have seen every single show in existence! I’ve only seen the first 5 episodes so far but here are my thoughts:

it seems everyone in this show except marcus (he’s just in the corner perfecting his lil donuts!! leave him in peace!!) teeters so beautifully on being absolutely detestable. some *cough cough richie cough cough* do venture into unlikeable territory but then when they do, the writers bring in a scene that instantly gives them an extra layer and shifts you towards empathy. it’s a really delicate balance but so far it’s working for me!

this is, at its core, a show about how to go about taking pieces of something broken and turning them into something better and beautiful, revamping it without discarding its true nature— and this is true in both the inwards sense, relating to carmy’s (and sugar’s and richie’s) grief and mental health in learning how to move on from a tragic loss but not forget your past pain, and then in the outwards sense as well regarding to the restaurant and the Chicago community, how to make a successful restaurant without forgetting the people they serve, how to not be a gunslingin’ dive but also not a gentrifying posh joint.

speaking of that internal turmoil though, I’m absolutely lovinggggg the bear motif and it fits perfectly with this idea! it’s like carmy has so much bottled up inside him, both good and bad, like his passion to change the restaurant mikey left him but also his pain and grief and sorrow, and him trying to let the bear out of the cage and slowly tame it or control it in his dreams is very reminiscent of someone trying to get a hold on their own psyche. but it’s like. no dude. you gotta let it all out, let it go wild! both the pain and the ambition! it will let you be more loving, be healed, and be a better leader! gosh, it’s so so good.

sydney is my GIRL y’all!! she has such a passionate, eager spirit about her that she can’t hold in and yet she also lacks confidence in a lot of ways and like. she is me!! I am her!! I kin this woman so hard. (that’s actually my first time using that word I hope I did it right lol). I’m so obsessed with everything she does, I can’t wait to see her grow and evolve as a chef, and to gain more confidence! also I need to learn more about her backstory right tf now like what was that catering business?? what’s her family like??

I don’t know where people are shipwise with this show?? it’s not a show that offers a lot of substantial material on that front but shipping is so much more fun when you have zero expectations and can kind of just go with the flow and take your own creative liberties so I like having fun with it. anyways I definitely feel a certain vibe with carmy and sydney but also marcus is so outwardly sweet to her when no one else is so I’m not mad about that either.

I think carmy and syd are like… two side of the same coin? they’re not the most alike but they’re not polar opposites either, they’re very much foils of each other and they each are the parts of the other that the other wishes they were. like sydney very openly wants to be skilled like carmy (she’s skilled on her own ways though might I add) and be a fearless chef and innovator, and carmy I think less-openly wishes he was like sydney: new, fresh, eager, not beaten down by the verbal degradation of high-end culinary culture, hopeful about the world and creative. I really like that sort of connection between two characters, it kind of alludes to a deeper idea that this bond was meant to be in a way? their chemistry is fucking fire too like wow

but then there’s marcus and sydney, which I think is cute because marcus has that sort of fun experimental eager green energy that sydney has and that many others (like tina and richie) have discarded or snuffed out, so I think he could be like a nice bright spot for sydney. idk. I need to know like a million more things about her character as well, she deserves all the screentime in the world. but in the meantime I’m just chilling, enjoying the little itty bitty crumbs that let me have my fun lol

anyways I’m sorry if that was too long for you lovely folks but I hope it was a worthy interruption to your regularly scheduled tumblr scrolling because I really love this show and I can’t wait to finish these last two episodes before moving on to this new season!!
