If I have a coin for every time I watch a movie about 'a Chinese family that has a dickhead mafia boss kinda dads who only cares and hungers for insurmountable power and makes his oldest son in an assassin by torturing him mentally and physically and has mothers that are either estranged or dead, where after an assassination attempt at the older sibling, they run halfway across the world to find and protect their younger sibling from the impending threat but also has an estranged relationship with them because they haven't seen each other in years and were separated in the formative years yet they love and remember each other enough that they would do anything for each other and get beaten up (by them/for them) even though they only met just few minutes ago after years of separation, and they again slowly warm up to each other and feel guilty for each other's pain even though they weren't the one that was to be blamed for the suffering they went through and the actual culprit were their parents, and have younger siblings that are sweet sinnamon rolls that can and will kill you if provoked the wrong way and the older son is a literal personification of a puppy that has been kicked many times with three big truck full of daddy issues (although he too will kill you if you threaten to take away his family) but in reality he wants to do nothing with power and just wants to live a very mediocre life and live with his younger sibling (and mom) but the world is having none of it, so he goes to a few days of existential crisis and then rediscover himself and defeats his dad (even though he still loves him) with the power of Michelle Yeoh, Chinese culture and traditions, younger siblings that are little shits, and melodrama by his side' then I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
So the moral of the story is that Michelle Yeoh is always going to win, regardless of how powerful you are.
