A/N: !!SPOILER WARNING!! Spoilers for the anime for the Water 7 arc. I'm sorry y'all, I had to write it, so please have my tears. This part is rough, but I swear there will be breaks ahead. Plus, I hope you enjoy the extra smut scenes from the missing month, an extra sweet and smutty one will be posted tomorrow! 💜

You grumbled as you got ready for the day, wanting to stay in bed with Robin for the next week.

“Come, botanist. Let’s explore together.”

That stopped your grumbling, and you followed her out on deck.

Usopp was hugging the mast, and you left Robin’s side for the first time to go pat him on the shoulder.

“You took great care of her, Usopp.”

“Thanks, Y/N. I know all the tinplate patches don’t look like much, but they bring back a lot of fond memories.”

“Why don’t you keep some of them? You can make something cool out of them, like a decoration for the Merry.”

Usopp broke out into a grin.

“That’s a great idea! But don’t tell Luffy, he still wants me to make him a statue.”

“Ha, you have my word.”

“Hey, Needy.”

You had started walking back to Robin, but Zoro’s voice carried over from the bow of the ship. Your body already itched to be close to her again, but you walked toward your swordsman as he leaned over the railing.

“Hey, babe.”

Zoro stared down at you for a moment, before reaching an arm toward you. Stepping toward his warmth, you let him pull you into a hug.

Outside of sparring, you hadn’t had much time with Zoro since you’d been so focused on Robin getting better. A twist of guilt hit your stomach, but you breathed through it.

It’s only been a few days, and she almost died.

Still, part of you had started to worry that he was upset. It’s been a couple months now since you first started seeing each other. Zoro hadn’t had any more blowups recently, and it seemed like things were going well.

The calm didn’t feel safe though. You wanted to believe that if he was harboring any resentments or pain that he’d come to you, talk to you about it. But he hadn’t brought anything up. It made you uneasy sometimes.

Knowing that a lot of that fear was your own trauma from past relationships, you fought not to project it onto Zoro.

I just wish he’d talk to me about his feelings.

You pulled him tight against you at that thought. At the three little words that you were too much of a coward to say out loud, even after all this time.

Afraid that you’d scare him away. Afraid that he didn’t feel it too. Afraid that he’d never examine his own feelings enough to know if he could feel it or not.

Those thoughts made you feel sick, and you knew most of it was your own shit. You didn’t want to think about him that way.

But no matter how clear you got your mind on those thoughts, you still felt too afraid to tell him.

“I’m glad she’s okay,” he whispered against your temple.

“Me too.”

You took a deep breath in, still trying to convince your body that it was true. That she was okay.

“Are you gonna… spend the night with her again?”

You pulled back, searching his eyes.

“Why?”

“I, uh…”

He frowned at you, and you tried not to roll your eyes.

He’s trying to tell me what he needs. He just doesn't have enough practice yet.

“Would you like some time with me tonight?”

Zoro looked away from you, but nodded.

“Yeah, I’d like that.”

“Now look who’s needy,” you teased, winning you a playful grin from him as he picked you up. Then he stopped, setting you back down as he looked out across the bow.

“Hey, I think we’re there.”

Most of the crew ran up, shouting as you all squinted to see the island.

“He’s right, I can see Water 7!”

Luffy’s excited words had you covering your eyes from the sun, until you could see the island coming into view. It was massive, built of gray stone, huge numbered gates surrounding all sides. Everyone was speechless for a moment as a giant fountain came into view, spiraling water into the air, towering in the center of the island. Canals flowed down, spilling back down into the ocean.

You squeezed Zoro’s arm before making your way to Robin, loving the way her face lit up at the sight.

Holding her hand, you laughed as you sailed through the town. Everything was floating. Instead of streets, people took small boats led by strange fish creatures across the water.

The crew found a place outside the city to dock, and you watched your swordsman furl the sails. His strong arms were mesmerizing as he pulled the rope, but your breath caught in your throat as the mast started to crack.

“Are you trying to break the ship,” Usopp yelled, as everyone panicked.

“No! All I did was pull the ropes like I always do. Holy shit, if the Merry’s falling apart this easy, we’re lucky we made it here at all.”

Ice sank into your stomach at Zoro’s words. You knew it was bad, but the mast seemed like it was barely holding on to the ship now, swaying dangerously overhead.

Nami took charge, declaring that Luffy and Usopp accompany her to turn in the reference letter to have the ship looked at, and to trade in the gold from their last big score.

“I guess I missed my chance to go with them,” Chopper pouted as he watched the group head toward the city.

“You can come with us later if you like.”

Hearing Robin’s voice still gave you shivers.

“Really? Can we go to a bookstore?”

“Yes, of course.”

“That sounds great,” you agreed, reaching for her hand again. “I wonder if they have a nursery here, I'd love to see what plants they have available in a floating city.”

You rushed to give Zoro a kiss, then ran after Robin and Chopper as they left the ship.

A small part of you felt bad for not searching the ship to kiss Sanji goodbye, but it was quickly drowned out by Robin’s laughter, and the feel of her arm around your waist while you followed Chopper.

The city was bustling, street vendors hawking wares, while citizens laughed and bartered. The people were almost strangely friendly here, even to pirates.

Sometimes a little too friendly.

That thought got stronger the more you and Robin were showered with compliments as you walked past.

“This town is full of Sanji’s,” Chopper noted, and it left you and Robin in a fit of laughter at the thought of your amorous lover.

A lot of the townsfolk were wearing painted wooden masks, and you stopped by a vendor to take a look as Robin reassured Chopper that they were just masks, not monsters.

“It seems the people here take the sea train to San Baldo Island where they hold a costume carnival every day.”

You tilted your head at Robin, while Chopper asked how she could know that.

“The people walking by are talking about it.”

“And you hear everything they say?”

You tried not to tense your hand in Robin’s, hoping she would answer his question.

“I can’t help it. Ever since I was young, I’ve made it a habit to keep a critical eye and ear on my environment.”

Her tone toward Chopper was sweet and light, but you felt yourself going still.

What has she been running from? Why is she so scared?

“Look at that, I think we found your bookstore,” Robin observed.

Chopper ran forward, talking excitedly. You knew public spaces were difficult for him alone, so you found yourself reaching out for him. He shifted into his massive human form, and you raced forward to join him, dropping your hand from Robin’s for a moment.

“Hold on, Chopper, we’re coming.”

You followed him through the doorway, seeing that he was already perusing the shelves, and that no one seemed to be bothering him.

I’m glad everyone here is so friendly.

Robin hadn’t joined you yet, so you stepped back outside.

The street looked the same. Vendors, customers, people in masks.

Ice cold fear shot through you.

Where’s Robin?

“Chopper! We have to go.”

“But, Y/N,” he said, a pile of books in his large arms.

“Robin’s missing!”

Panic raced through you, and you saw Chopper’s eyes fill with concern as he left the books on the counter.

Chopper shifted into his reindeer form, and you yelled her name as he followed her scent.

She’s okay, she probably just got distracted.

What if Aokiji came back? What if he took her?

What if she’s hurt?

Robin didn’t answer your calls, but you kept trying until your voice got hoarse.

“I’m sorry, Y/N, it’s like her scent just vanished.”

“What do you mean vanished?”

“I don’t know, it just stopped,” the note of panic in Chopper’s voice as he explained wasn’t helping your speeding pulse.

“Hold on…”

Chopper lifted his nose to the air, and hope gripped your chest.

“There’s something else over here. I know that smell.”

Racing to look around the corner, your hope dropped when she wasn’t there. Instead, you found Sanji.

He was sitting on the edge, looking out to sea with a pile of groceries beside him.

“Sanji! Have you seen Robin?”

Chopper's hooves clattered on the stone as he caught up to your frantic steps. Sanji frowned at him.

“I just saw her. It seemed like she ignored me, and she was walking with a large person in a masked outfit. I thought that was you in your human form, Chopper.”

“It wasn’t m-”

“She’s missing, Sanji!”

You gripped his arm, watching him take in your features, your panicked eyes. He gestured behind him, looking around the area.

“I followed her over here, and it seemed like she just disappeared.”

“So did her scent.”

Your ears were starting to ring as they spoke, and you pulled away, shouting her name.

“Angel, hold on!”

He clambered after you, grabbing the groceries as he and Chopper followed.

Your voice was cracking, and your breaths were ragged.

Sanji dropped the bags again, wrapping his arms around you.

“We’ll get her back, Y/N. We’ll always get her back.”

They convinced you to hop into a boat while you continued to call for her around the area, before heading back to meet with the rest of the crew.

You noticed Sanji and Chopper had started speaking in hushed tones, and you were able to pull yourself together enough to start listening.

“I hope she’s alright. I feel uneasy.”

“Do you need an examination?”

“No, Chopper, it’s not like that. It’s what the admiral said, all that terrible stuff he said about Robin’s past…”

Your voice was raspy and empty as you interrupted.

“Protecting this troublesome woman leads to nothing but regret.”

They turned to you, brows tensed in concern. You kept going.

“He said that every group she’s ever been a part of has been destroyed, everyone except for her.”

You glared defiantly at them, anger bubbling in you.

“But I don’t care about her past. I don’t care what he said.”

Sanji gripped your knee while Chopper nodded.

“None of us care, sweetheart. We’re going to get her back.”

“The Merry can’t sail again.”

You couldn’t understand Zoro’s words as Chopper and Sanji started to argue. Your fists clenched hard, nails digging into your skin as you tried to make sense of everything.

“It just seems so extreme, it's our same old Merry, we’ve traveled with her so long.”

Sanji’s emotional words brought you into the moment, only for Zoro’s calm, unaffected voice to make your mind go sickly still.

“You just answered your own question. Human beings get stronger after hardship, but ship’s wounds just pile up. The shipwright said her keel is broken, she won’t even make it to the next island.”

Chopper started to cry, and you almost sobbed as you watched Sanji touch the top of his hat to comfort him.

“We need to find Ro-”

“Hey, everyone!”

Nami’s frantic voice interrupted your plea, and you watched her climb onto the deck. She was carrying a large briefcase, and was dripping with sweat and tears. You ran to her, fresh panic flooding your veins.

“Are you o-”

“Usopp’s hurt! Some assholes called the Franky Family stole most of our money for the Merry, and they- they…”

Everyone surrounded her, all speaking at once while you moved her hair out of her face, taking the briefcase from her trembling arms.

“Where’s Usopp?”

Chopper’s serious voice broke through Nami’s staggered breaths. You felt like your world was spinning as the boys set out to find him, and to go after the pieces of shit that hurt your friend.

Zoro’s face was inches from yours, his hands gripping your arms.

“Stay here with Nami. Protect the Merry. Okay, Needy? You need to stay here. Protect that money so we can get a new ship.”

Nami gripped your hand while Sanji kissed your temple.

Zoro’s eyes burned into yours.

“Promise me, Needy.”

“I promise,” you managed to whisper, voice still shot from yelling Robin’s name.

Nami’s palm was clammy in yours as you watched your crewmates head back into danger.

Why is this happening?

It felt like years had passed when you finally saw the five Straw Hat boys walking home, Luffy back with his crew, and Chopper’s human form carrying Usopp’s bloody, limp body.

You sat on deck against the unstable mast, and tried not to scream at everyone.

We need to find Robin.

“Angel, are you okay?”

Sanji was crouching in front of you, soft eyes searching yours.

“No.”

His lips pursed as he nodded, and he looked like he was about to speak when Chopper yelled.

“He’s awake!”

Relief moved through you for your friend as you followed the crew inside. But you caught Sanji’s eyes, and knew that he was still thinking about your missing archaeologist too. Reaching for his hand as you went through the door, you caught the sound of Usopp crying out.

“This wouldn’t have happened if I was strong like you guys. It’s all my fault, I’m so ashamed of myself!”

Even covered in bruises and bandages, Usopp lurched forward, catching Zoro off guard as he wrapped his arms around one of his thighs. Zoro seemed to panic, flailing a bit, unsure of what to do as Usopp wept against him.

Tears streamed down your face. You knew all too well the fears of failing the crew because you weren’t strong enough.

“It’s not that big a deal, alright. Calm down.”

Zoro squirmed as Usopp still clung to him, and you rushed forward, rubbing Usopp on the shoulder until he let Zoro go. He clung to you now, and you didn’t know what to say. You just held your friend, letting your own tears fall quietly as he kept sobbing in your arms.

“I lost the money, what are we gonna do about the Merry?”

“You need to rest, Usopp, or you won’t get better,” Chopper pleaded, the threat of tears in his voice.

Luffy was finally able to calm Usopp a bit, declaring that they would find that asshole, Franky.

“Besides, even if we can’t get our money back, we still have a hundred million berry, so don’t worry about it!”

You thought the vein in Nami’s forehead would pop when she scolded him. The crew had lost two hundred million berry on Usopp’s watch.

Poor Usopp. This is awful.

The thought of what a shitty day it was brought you back to Robin, and you almost screamed to get everyone to focus on her. But Usopp’s hopeful voice made your stomach twist in knots.

“Is Merry gonna be okay? Can we get her fixed with the money we’ve got? There’s all these awesome shipwrights, you talked to them about it, right?”

Luffy glossed over the pain, smiling as he broke the news.

“Uh, yeah, we did. But we decided to get a new ship instead. The Going Merry has taken good care of us, but it looks like our journey has to end here. But look, there’s a bunch of great ships we can still afford,” Luffy said lightly as he showed Usopp a catalog from the shipyard.

Feeling the pain from the silent crew with the captain’s choice, the look in Usopp’s eyes made your heart break.

You watched him build himself up again, trying to convince himself that it was a joke.

Until he looked at all of your faces, the truth evident.

“Does it mean we don’t have enough for the repairs? Is it because I lost the money?”

“Usopp-”

You tried to move back to him, wanting to reassure him, but Zoro’s firm hand on your shoulder stopped you.

Usopp was yelling at Luffy now, demanding the truth, and you’d never seen Luffy’s face like this. Not when looking at a friend.

His teeth were clenched as he held his words in, sweat beading on his brow. Until he started yelling back.

Zoro moved past you then, stepping in to stop the fight. You caught eyes with Nami, your pain echoed in hers.

“I don’t see what I’m doing wrong, he’s the one saying all this dumb shit.”

Nami broke in to stop Usopp, begging him to calm down and rest.

“Who cares about me? How can you all just sit here when he's making jokes about getting a new ship?”

Luffy was shaking now as he started to yell back.

“I’m not joking about anything, this was a hard decision for me too!”

“Oh yeah, I feel really sorry for you,” Usopp growled, before grabbing the ship catalog out of his hand. “Already window shopping for a new toy!”

You gasped as Usopp slammed the pages to the ground, wishing this nightmare would fucking end so your crew would be safe and happy again.

“Are you trying to pick a fight with me, Usopp?”

He kept yelling at your captain, demanding to know that it was his fault for losing the money, his fault for failing the Merry.

Luffy finally said the words, the painful words that none of you wanted to hear. But you hoped it would stop the fight.

“The Merry can’t be fixed.”

But that awful truth didn’t stop the fight. Usopp denied, and accused, and bartered. Then he demanded.

“Don’t give up on the Merry!”

Hot tears stung your cheeks as you stood frozen.

More yells and accusations toward Luffy felt like whips snapping in your face, almost making you flinch with each swing.

Sweet Chopper moved toward Usopp, hoofs quivering as he reached out.

“I know you’re upset, but you need to calm down.”

“Not until we settle this, I won’t let you take the Merry away from me! You’re ignoring your crew, ignoring your friends. I can’t believe that’s the kinda captain you turned out to be.”

Usopp had stood and grabbed Luffy by the front of his shirt. He wasn’t listening to any of your voices as the crew pleaded with him to stop.

“I thought you were better than this!”

“You’re not being fair, Usopp-,” Nami tried again, before Luffy flung out his arm for her to stop.

“You stay out of this. It was my call. We’re getting a new ship whether you like it or not.”

Usopp was sweating through his bandages now, dark spots of blood showing through some of them. You didn’t know your friend could make a face like the one he had right now. You felt like you were going to throw up.

They kept screaming, and you couldn’t follow the words anymore as you watched in horror. Sanji tried to step between them, but Luffy pushed Usopp to the ground, yelling in his face. Nami cried out, and you tried to run forward, but Zoro stopped you again. You almost screamed at him.

Luffy’s next yell pierced through it all.

“Fine, if you don’t like the way your captain does things then why don’t you get-”

Sanji’s leg was so fast as it spun, launching Luffy straight through the kitchen table, shards of wood and dust flying. You gaped at your cook, rage and sweat dripping from him.

“This is going way too far. What the hell is wrong with you? If you don’t watch it you’re going to say something you can’t take back, so calm down.”

Sanji was shaking now, breath ragged, and you felt your lips quiver at the anger in his eyes.

Luffy crawled from the broken pieces of the table, and apologized. You felt a breath of relief, before Usopp tore it away.

“If you’re gonna throw away the Merry, might as well throw me away too.”

Sanji tried to step in again, but then Usopp laid out his own fears before the crew. You felt raw, aching. You wanted to reassure your friend, but how could you, when you felt the same way he did about being weak?

“It’s not like it was before. You’re all too strong for me now. You can’t even trust me to guard our money. You don’t want weak people on your crew do you?”

Nausea flooded you, your own guilt and shame at your weakness making you hate yourself in this moment.

“I’m leaving the crew. This is goodbye.”

It’s only a matter of time before something like this happens to me. Maybe I should follow Usopp. Maybe he's right.

Most of the crew lurched forward, calling for him until he shut the door. Part of you was screaming to join him, to leave the crew before you could fail them, before you could hate yourself for failing them.

“Luffy, what are you doing, go after him!”

Nami’s frantic voice kept pleading with him, but he stayed down, eyes dark.

“Fine, have it your way then.”

Nami ran out the door, Sanji and Chopper following. You heard the three of them calling his name, but you couldn’t get your feet to move. Luffy and Zoro stayed, their silence heavy. Finally, Luffy stood, moving outside. You ached for him, finally free to follow.

Usopp’s voice carried over from the shore, and you grabbed Nami’s hand.

Please, Usopp, please come back.

“I challenge you to a duel, Monkey D. Luffy! At ten tonight. If I win I'm taking the Merry, and I’m leaving.”

The silence on deck was deafening as you watched Usopp’s limping form move toward the city.

Robin’s still missing.

You hated yourself for it, but thinking about Robin was the only thing keeping you from falling into self pity. The only thing keeping you from leaving the ship in shame along with Usopp.

So you dug through her quarters. She was so private, and you felt sick as you searched for any kind of clue for where she might have gone.

You could hear Nami pleading with Luffy through the thin walls to apologize, and talk things through.

“It’s gone too far already.”

You shivered at Luffy’s tone, and kept on your hunt.

It wasn't long before you heard your boys screaming at each other, and you sank to the floor, too spent to try to stop them.

I’m worthless. I can’t protect anyone. I can’t do anything.

Nami tapped lightly on the door, calling your name softly.

“Y/N, it’s ten.”

Swallowing your self pity, you followed your friend to the deck again, watching Usopp’s silhouette against the city lights as he moved closer.

“Listen up, I don’t want any of you leaving the ship,” Luffy called over his shoulder.

You grabbed onto Chopper’s small arm as he started screaming, crying for them not to fight.

But nothing would stop them now.

Usopp started pelting Luffy with all different types of ammo, and you couldn’t hear what they were saying over the waves, and Chopper’s cries.

You thought Luffy was going easy on him at first, letting Usopp hit him, but soon you saw your captain jumping off the ground in pain shaking off what looked like caltrops.

Then the air around Luffy was filled with flames. Luffy made it through the smoke, and you almost screamed as you saw him pull his fists back. But before he could make contact, Usopp kept shooting star after star, and you watched your friend, the sniper, hold his own against your captain.

For a while, at least.

Luffy was looking wrecked, and you felt a twinge of disgust in yourself that you felt proud of Usopp for hurting him so badly.

This is horrible.

Then Luffy pulled back again, and this time, his fist hit. You sobbed as you clasped your hand over your mouth. Usopp swayed for a moment, and you could see more blood draining from him even from a distance.

You fell against the railing, barely holding yourself up as Usopp collapsed.

“At least it’s over now.”

Zoro’s steady voice made your head whip around, finding him looking as he usually does. Stoic, seemingly unmoved. Your mind was too filled with pain to think clearly, and then Sanji’s voice broke through.

Chopper was crying, trying to jump off the ship to help Usopp. Sanji was holding him trying to stop him and you wanted to scream.

“I’m a doctor-”

“He’s not a part of our crew anymore.”

Chopper shifted into his human form, but Sanji tackled him. You sank to the ground as you watched everyone fall apart.

“Chopper, it’s bad enough that he lost the fight. If you pity him now, you’ll end up hurting him even more. He knew this is how it might end when he challenged Luffy. We need to give him dignity in defeat.”

“That’s such bullshit,” you growled, voice cracking. You might have yelled if your voice wasn’t shot.

Sanji glanced back at you with pained eyes. Chopper used that moment to break away, running off the ship toward Usopp’s crumpled body.

Pulling yourself to your feet, you went to Nami, clasping your cold hands together.

Luffy made his way back, his head lowered under his hat, and you let out a sob at the pain in his cracking voice.

“It’s too much.”

Zoro didn’t even turn to face him as he took a breath.

“This is what it means to be captain. You can’t doubt yourself. If you lose your confidence, then who can we have faith in?”

Emptiness filled you as everyone stood silent. Then Zoro had to say the last words, the truth that twisted like a knife.

“Usopp can never return to the crew.”

Love, Victor: Season 3 trailer 👀

Do not read ahead if you have not seen the trailer yet

-So they straight out gave us a major spoiler, without any warning, by telling us that Victor goes to Benji's house after the wedding debacle. Tbh this kinda annoyed me because I was looking forward to finding out about this major cliffhanger while actually watching the season opener but they chose to spoil it within the 1st ten seconds of the trailer 😵‍💫 Say what you want, but there were ways to edit the trailer without spilling that information, but production blatantly chose chaos.

-I was fully expecting the love triangle aspect, but now they want to throw at Victor a third love interest, when no one asked for this 👀 But if this is just a one time thing, than cool. Just don't drag it out and try to get us emotionally invested in this new character.

My massive Bellarke is epic and here’s proof from s5-7 rant.

Ok guys I cannot stress enough that I am drunk, this is long, it has strong language, and it’s a trip. I am putting it almost all under a cut because it is 20 f*ing pages on word.

Kate will say it better than I will, but don't lose hope! Becho hasn't really been together on screen for very long. It's only been like a few weeks to a month since the beginning of S5. They've stretched it out over two seasons, but in canon not much time has passed. And most of that time had Bellamy either sacrificing almost 300 lives to save Clarke, poisoning his sister to save Clarke, or fucking off into the wilderness with Josephine to save Clarke. They've just straight up not had enough time for Bellamy to be like, "Hey Echo, I know I said things wouldn't change but that was before my wife was actually alive, so bye." Though to wishing Becho had just never happened. We got one good angst scene with Clarke seeing them kiss. But otherwise, I could have very much done without their whole relationship.

We've been waiting for more than a month to see some really angsty, whumpy stuff, the episode was supposed to be Jay centered and what did we get? A lame murder case that somehow became interesting only when Kevin and his brother got involved.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad my baby Kev gets to get more screentime (it was about time!), but why giving him now and not the next episode? What's the logic in this?

The beginning wasn't even bad, the premises were good. It was all very serious and solemn and all that good stuff we like and then, boom!, they said fuck that, fuck Jay Halstead, fuck you clowns who thought we were gonna treat him with the respect he deserves. Man was literally about to die and then suddenly he's fine, he talks (Jesse was making the voice he uses to imitate Jason, I heard that!), he even jokes around... Like, make it make sense. I'm frustrated. I wanna say a whole lotta other things, but yeah, I hope you get my point.

The Upstead content was kind of a payoff but yeah, still better than nothing. And about that... that fucking phone, really? Hailey was about to confess her feelings, or at least say something really serious to Jay, but of course they were interrupted. As I said, we're clowns. And Jay was ready: my man was so ready to get out of the friendozone, I saw that smirk that slowly faded into a disappointed look. We'll get there, Jay, I probably want it more than you do LOL

Vanessa's gonna be the godmother of Upstesd children. She ships them so much, cutie. "It's hard because you love him" - "Of course I love him, he's my partner" Hailey, sis, stfu and stop lying.

Burzek. They're having a baby, I'm so happy, I'm gonna cry. The little Alvin Ruzek (Kev is gonna be their godfather, I don't make the rules) is gonna be the Intelligence unit mascotte. I'm so ready. I wanna see where they're going with this plot: it can potentially be a cool one, I'd actually like too see some drama around Kevin's character - and maybe him being supported by Vanessa, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I don't know, they either develop it properly or they better end it with 7.11

SPOILERS!!!

Charmed 02x02 Review

Y'all part of me just can't. Like the excitement and energy over this last episode is too much to keep inside. I am super ready to burst and super excited for episode 3. But I am just gonna say that overall I thought this episode was superb 8/10 only because I am saving my 9 and 10. But if I could I'd give it a 9 out of ten. There was only like a couple things I was nitpicky about and it's pretty standard tv logic stuff that most people overlook so dont come at me for it. So I am just gonna start like I always do except I cant just pick 3 likes and dislikes so I am just gonna list my likes some of the nitpicks and then some episode highlights.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Things I liked:

1. Hacy development

So no secret I am a hacy fan and I pretty much love any hacy content the show will give us but I really thought the show did so well this episode.

Originally, I thought the show was going to explore Macy's feelings through Dark!Harry, and in a way they have revealed them using Dark!Harry (Season 1 ended with us not sure if Macy felt anything for Harry, but knowing he had some feelings for her). I was worried there may be less hacy moments because they would keep most of the interaction between Dark!Harry and Macy. Even had me scared that Macy may be falling for Dark!Harry and not Harry proper. But no, they gave us Genuine Hacy.

The awkwardness of the interactions after the dream. That car ride was hilarious with the map and the radio (harry is still super at comedic relief in club and in car)

The looks when checking each other out.

Making each other laugh and encouraging each other.

Harry trying to save that witch and Macy being concerned by what it would

I mean it wasn't just tension. There was some fluff thrown in. Harry telling her to celebrate the victories and looking at her proudly. Which brings me to item 2.

2) I love what rupert does with his eyes between the two Harrys. Real harry (as macy put it) is so harmless looking. Those puppy eyes are adorable and rupert makes sure to have then turned up all the way when being real harry.

The only time Dark!harry makes soft eyes (well sort of) is the first time we see him with Macy, the initial moment in episode 1, and then when Maggie goes for a hug in this episode. He is just so taken off guard by the affection that his pretending-to-be-Harry-face slips and his eyes kind of go wide and they arent so narrowed and focused. Which makes me think he has not been hugged often or at all . . . That's sad. Then the switch when Maggie backs away. The eyes narrow again and he gets all mean. Just love that rupert can do things like that to give both characters distinctive enough feels that you can tell that dark!harry is acting.

3) Mel and Maggie bonding

So I really do hope that we get some Macy and Mel bonding, but I am happy anytime the show can deepen the bonds between the sisters. Maggie and Mel have a bit of a complicated relationship even though they grew up together. I mean especially from this episode we see and remember that Mel was the big sister for most of her life. She protected Maggie and seems to have acted like a second parent. It is sad that there dad really just turned out to be a bad dad. No reason behind it no, issues with Marisol other than apparently the ones he created on his own (which I will get into on my nitpicks). The fact this was just a loss for Maggie, and not just a loss as in she was the only one to feel something when Ray died but a loss of memories she thought she had and an idea of who her dad (a piece of her past), was sad but it actually gave us further insight into mel and Maggie's dynamics. First season we knew the rift between mel and Maggie was over Mel's obsession with and Mel's expectations of how Maggie should have acted and behaved. I think a lot of us chalked it up to Mel being controlling and having the oldest child attitude, but I think now we see there is more there. Mel seems to have spent a lot of time protecting Maggie and biting her tongue about certain aspects of thier lives and in a sense making sacrifices for her. So it makes sense she would expect the same from Maggie, but at the same time Maggie didnt know, and even if she did thise were Mel's choices and Maggie doesnt owe her anything for them.

Knowing that we can see how it is so easy for riffs to form between them which make the start of this season make more sense to me. Because Maggie wants to live her life and is a trusting and positive person. Mel expects a certain level of loyalty and commitment and has a different idea of what that looks like compared to Maggie. On top of there general personality differences it makes sense they all that would culminate into a rocky relationship prone to communication difficulties and tifs. But I love that they are starting to acknowledge those things and rebuild. Last season it was them just getting over feeling abandoned by each other after the death of Marisol. This exposed deeper roots of the initial rift. I liked that.

4) I love that the Maggie and Mel still have Magic and even though though the active powers are gone they arent defenseless. They just need to be resourceful. I actually like this a lot and I feel gives the writers a lot of room to play with creative ways for the ladies to save other witches.

5) demon lore!!!! Okay so while season 1 seems mostly thrown out the lore actually explains season 1 demons better.

One of the issues I had was that there did not seem to be a synchronized front with the demons and they never explained why even though Alistair claimed to be a hotshot the only people he had working for him was his family.

In the OG in first season before lore got expanded) demons and witches werent organized. Demons sort of acted on thier own for thier own purposes and witches seem mostly solitary except for occasional get togethers on important events. Later on in the series demons got an organization system (triad) then later one ruler (the source of all evil). Witches seem mostly solitary except for now the elders who assigned white lighters watched over them and placed rules on magic. I dont think people really remember the drastic shift in lore and the plot holes OG had because we generally liked the places it was going. So I am kinda on that page fro the reboot.

It flipped the script. Witches are or were the organized bunch both self ruling and ruling over the magical community. Demons were at war with each other and all had different agendas so makes sense that the Caines were mostly on thier own.

I like this idea of there being different general types of demons and a hierarchy. I do wonder if that will limit then in the long run, but assuming they can be creative with the categories they have defined I am not too worried. I am excited to get more info on demons now.

6) the new love interests. I love Mel's new love interest. So different from Mel and her previous love interests. I reserve judgment until we get more interaction but I am liking her so far. Jordan is interesting I am actually liking the build up of thier relationship and will be nice to see maggie start off slow and make friends with him first. I wasnt a huge parkerita fan but I did not dislike the ship. But one of my general blehs is love at first site between teens. The way parker and Maggie began was just off putting to me but they were nice together when they were together honestly. This will be a good venture into perhaps an adult relationship or at least on that doesnt begin with as much drama. That said she is dead and will have to hide her identity from him soo....

Now on to the nitpicks:

1) Ray's characterization.

Okay so I dont mind that Ray turned out to be just a crap dad. It happens. But there are things we know that Ray probably didnt that makes us wonder why marisol even got with him and married him.

A) we know Marisol continued an affair throughout her marriage to Ray. Even assuming Ray was just a crap husband and father, why did marisol get with him and marry him if he was so good at alienating everyone he met. I wouldnt think he was just a one night stand that Marisol decided she would have to marry after getting pregnant. I would think she would be above that.

B) did he even know about magic. Was his whole relationship and life with Marisol and the girls just based on secrets, ignorance, and not being around?

I mean for B it is fine if it was I just would like to know for sure what it was versus just guessing. But I assume like Maggie I am just gonna have to move on from this

2) the house lights and the job application.

Okay how does the house have power and and water without the city noticing? How can maggie apply for a job with no social security number? I mean I assume because she is dead she cant use her real info. Or she could but wouldnt that make it easy for demons who may think to infiltrate government records to find them? I mean this is a nitpick and can be explained away by Magic, but still it was on my mind.

3) the mysterious figure at the end. Okay y'all, I assume it is Dark!Harry. But the more I thought about it, the more I got angry that they didnt show his face. Basically, that is leaving room that it could be someone else like one of the other new love interests or someone we havent met yet. I dont like that. If it is Dark!Harry we've already met him and know he is after the girls so most likely would be working with the demons. So showing him wouldnt be a big deal. But keeping the figure hidden means leaving that door of possibilites open. This has me paranoid now. Again nitpick. I'll get over it. Some people might like that.

Episode Highlights:

Comic relief Harry. Getting knocked down when orbing into the club and not being able to hold a map.

"I'll put a hex on you."

"I'm formidable!" You tell him!

Harry's wonky orbing in general. so confused so turned about.

Maggie being able to tell that Dark!Harry was not Harry. "Those are Harry's charges and family you cant fool them ya creep!!!"

Invisible mel putting a shovel to the side of Dark!Harry's face. "Yess!!!!"

Harry's puppy dog eyes when Macy says all she needs is a look to know who the real Harry is

I just finished watching S3 of She-Ra, and I just have so very many thoughts and feelings about it, y'all! Know what that means? Probably not, but I do! It's list time.

-Catra's aesthetic reached peak lesbian out there in the Crimson Waste. I think she took a few pages out of both Amethyst and Pearl's books.

-While I'm on the topic of lesbian aesthetics, I hearby give my permission for Huntara to do whatever she wants with me. Pretty please?

-Scorpia, great girlfriend or the greatest girlfriend? Seriously, she is just so goddamn precious! Any other wlw would be over the moon to have a gal like her smitten with them, but as usual, Catra is just too tsundere for her own good. Tsk tsk tsk.

-Not enough Swift Wind. I need my magic talking horse fix.

-I want to know so much more about Mara, and I want that holographic jerkass Light Hope to stop being such a prick and give Adora the goddamn answers she both needs and deserves.

-I also want Kyle to run away and join the rebellion and grow up to marry Bow. Just think about how adorable it'd be to watch him react to people being kind to him all the time without ulterior motives! Just imagine him meeting Bow's dads for the first time! I just want nice things to happen to that poor kid, is that too much to ask?

-All right, so I am probably going to hell for this, but here goes. I ship Hordak/Entrapta. I can say with total honesty that I never expected to ship a het couple in this series, much less these two, and yet here we are. I just want her to convince him to give up the whole universal domination shit so that they can build robots together forever! Too bad he's been taking tsundere lessons from Catra (or perhaps she took them from him?) and doesn't know a good thing when he sees it.

-Even when Shadow Weaver's working with the good guys, she's still finding new and horrible ways to fuck over Catra. I do respect that her motivation is strictly revenge-based, though, and I look forward to seeing how her relationship with Adora and Glimmer develops in S4.

-Angella's sacrifice broke my heart, and I just want to give Glimmer all of the hugs.

-Speaking of heartbreaking things, Catra's suffering just seems to get worse and worse. She just can't hold onto anything good, and while that is in large part her own fault, it's still not easy to watch. All she knows how to do anymore is lash out at the wrong people. Now she's burned her last bridge with Adora, and I think she realized that right at the end. I think (hope) that this may be what finally sets her on the path of redemption. I don't think it'll be an easy or painless one (nor should it be), but I think it has the potential to be as epic and satisfying as Zuko's. So many of her problems are of her own making (not that she has fully realized or accepted that yet), but she's still such a tragic figure, and I want her to find the healing she needs so badly.

-All that said, I still ship her with both Adora and Scorpia (because apparently shipping a small, loud, angry gremlin with multiple characters is now a thing with me), but I think she's got a long road ahead of her before she's emotionally ready to be in any sort of relationship at all, and probably a longer one still before Adora and possibly even Scorpia are ready to forgive her, much less trust her again.

Reasons to Ship Markus & North (Marth/Norkus) 03.1

They're Attached at the Hip

Almost from the moment Markus arrives at Jericho he and North seem to gravitate to each other. While it's true he shows affiliations and bonds with all his advisors/generals (North, Simon, Josh, and Lucy respectively), he and North share a special relationship. They spend the most time together regardless of which route you take (Pacifist, Violent, or Neutral), and almost never leave each other's side. This could be for many reasons. Such as them being selfless, natural born (made?) leaders, driven, unapologetically devoted to rights for their people, innate comfort or trust, or just plain physical attraction. Some of these I've already discussed (others I plan to), so let's delve into the moments of them together. (AKA: Strap in y'all cause this is gonna be a long one)

Let's begin at the raid on the Cyberlife warehouse, shall we? While they're running towards the building we hear North calling Markus over to her. I'm not quite sure why she wants this newcomer at her side, but she does. Of course, the player doesn't have to follow her. The fact that she insists we do says something about her want for him to be near her. We also see that she protects him from detection using her arm as a block. The devs could have easily given that role to Simon or Josh, but they did not. Proof that even then they're sowing the seeds of a relationship. Jumping ahead a bit we get to Markus having the option to steal a key to get a truckload of biocomponents and blue blood. If you choose to go through with the plan, North eagerly volunteers to join him. When he succeeds she even rides shotgun with him. Again we see this dynamic very early of them wanting to be beside each other all the time. It's interesting and pretty sweet. I do wonder why North wants to be around him this soon. Perhaps it's admiration or that she lowkey liked him already.

Next is the Stratford Tower broadcast. When Markus hatches a plan Simon and Josh hesitate, North doesn't. She's ready to roll with him whenever. Markus just needs to give the word. This goes briefly back to my last point of her probably already being into or at least in awe of him. During their break in (probably not the right word, but "heist" and "invasion" don't fit either) the first one Markus meets up with is North. He made this plan, so he could've chosen anyone else, but he wanted to work most closely with her. Even the game confirms this should you delve into the extras menu. It says Markus knew "there was only one woman for the job." He likely picks her for these reasons: she's down to ride for the sake of her people regardless of the consequences, she's another leader (see my Reasons to Ship 02 post), and maybe he admires her and likes her in the same way I think she does to him. I mean he checks on her after they scale the building before anything else, and if you as a player make any lapse in judgment she picks up the slack immediately, but I digress.

There's also the scene where they liberate androids from the Detroit Cyberlife stores. We learn from Markus that he's divided the groups into teams to get the job done. Guess who he picks to go with him? North. As the boss he could choose anyone he wants, and he wants her. During the mission they stick together like glue with North providing much needed backup. She even remarks "What would you do without me?" It's a good question. What would he do without her? Probably be lonelier and lose the person who's essentially his partner in crime. We also see North riding shotgun once again when he steals the truck to break through the glass. I'm starting to think she likes it when he drives, but that's just me. Once the androids are freed we have an option to vandalize the park. Should you be more violent there are some nice Marth/Norkus moments in here. If you choose to destroy the bus stop, Markus struggles a bit until North strolls up from nowhere and chucks a cinderblock through it with a little smirk on her face. There's them working together to push or knock over cars. We also have them scaling the wall to put the revolution symbol on the side of the building. Its a moment that I really enjoy, because I think it fits their characters and their relationship ridiculously well. The two are standing above everyone, watching their dreams of freedom come to reality. It's like they're basking in the moment. They do this mostly in silence as too, which is pretty cool. The king and queen of the revolution staring down at their subjects is a powerful image in my opinion. When all of that is done the cops show up, and the androids flee. Marth/Norkus have a brief dialogue until she leaves him to catch up with the others. Upon hearing gunshots Markus runs to see what happened. There are the bodies of his people lying on the ground, but he hardly glances at those. He makes a beeline right for North. He doesn't check on the fallen, doesn't go to the mass of where the rest of the androids are. North appears to be his first priority. Pretty impressive, since this is one of the few times Markus puts his own emotional needs first. If this doesn't validate North's statement I don't know what will. He'd be lost without his right hand woman.

We then have their iconic rooftop scene. This moment probably doesn't need much more explanation, but we're here to overanalyze (and it's precious af, how can we not spaz?) Markus clearly went there to be alone and gather his thoughts, but North shows up. She admits she was looking for him. It's really cute, especially since they've only known each other for a day or two. She likes him so much she can't stand to have him out of her sight even for a moment. I know you can be more distant with her, but I don't believe you can directly push her away (correct me if I'm wrong.) This in itself is extremely telling from a writing perspective as well. Based on everything else we've seen, you're meant to be in the camp of this couple and totally on board with their relationship. Anyhow, Markus allows North into his space, and the two open up to one another. Markus reveals his reservations or confidence about the android rights movement and his past with Carl. We also learn that he kept his past quiet from everyone, and North is the first person he tells. It's a pretty important step, since he does so with minimal hesitation. An even bigger deal is North talking about what happened to bring her to Jericho. It's obvious from the way she talks that she's kept her previous life as well as how it affected her buried. How can anyone blame her? The woman was a sex slave who had her memories wiped every two hours until she had an epiphany that led her to kill a man. I can't pretend to know what victims of sexual assault go through, but I understand it's agonizing. The fact that she trusted Markus enough to tell him something she'd not told anyone else is huge. Especially when it's clear how hard it was for her. North is in tears and is ready to close herself off again the memories were so painful. Before I go on, let me say that if you're a victim of sexual assault, you don't have to tell anyone what happened to you to prove you trust them. You're valid in wanting to keep that part of your life secret or even regretting telling someone about it. Cope however you need to. In the context of the game I'm just saying it's a big deal in terms of North's character. Not for everyone in real life. After this, Markus goes on to comfort her by connecting their palms in a way that allows them to share memories. This is a huge moment. Imagine being comfortable enough with someone to let them see every memory you've ever had. That opens so much room not only for intimacy but to be taken advantage of. North knows this, which is why she flees after the fact.

Continuing on there's the march. From the moment the four Jericho leaders enter the scene we're greeted by Markus and North standing side by side. It makes sense, as by this point they're official. I still find it adorably amusing that they are so compelled to be beside each other. When confronted by the police they end up being next to each other again. This is the point where I'm sure I'll deviate from some of you, because anytime I play this scene I choose to fight. So if I'm missing anything from the stand your ground option or if you had a different experience, I apologize in advance. Markus leads the charge with his advisors running with him. The battle is harsh and a lot of androids fall, but guess who doesn't? North. She's right with him almost every step of the way. They're covering each other, standing back to back with guns drawn determinedly pushing back their foes until their side is victorious. I could be wrong, but Markus doesn't have this perfectly in sync battle with anyone else. Simon and John can die for him, but as far as I know they don't get a grand scene with him like North does. As a side note, I really screwed this fight up the first time, so North and Markus didn't get the chance to work together like the above. When I saw it on my most recent playthrough the energy was high. Even if you don't ship them how can you not get excited with two warrior friends fighting side by side, perfectly connected for a noble cause? While not a very eloquent way to put it, that scene is so damn cool. It's heart pounding, and we want them to succeed.

I'm sorry this is so big. I wrote an essay, and I'm sorry. That's why I'm cutting it in half. There's so much to talk about. Way more than I planned, and I don't wanna make it a pain to scroll through the tag. The other part will be out in a few days.

The Weekly Rundown (10/07/18-10/13/18)

Sorry so late! I’m getting caught up on articles. Almost there :) Time to rundown what I’m watching, loving, hating and everything in between! Spoilers ahead!

God Friended Me (”The Good Samaritan”)

Confession time: I didn’t pay very close attention to this week’s episode, but Miles and Cara continue to be adorable. Pretty sure I ship it.

Manifest (”Turbulence”)

I’m not really feeling the chemistry between Josh Dallas and Athena Karkanis. However, the chemistry between Melissa Roxburgh and JR Ramirez is smoldering.

Josh Dallas is my blue eye baby who makes me feel all the things. He conveyed so many emotions without saying a word in the scene where Ben and Grace discussed the man in her life. WOW!

I want to believe Grace is in love with Ben and not Danny (because it's Josh Dallas and that's all the reason she needs), but I'm not buying it... yet

The whole twins being different ages is a never ending mind bender.

Seriously though what did Ben do for a living?

The Gifted (“coMplications”)

All I want is for Marcos to hold Dawn forever and snuggle with Lorna. Why can’t I have the things that I want?

But seriously though these Marcos and baby scenes are killing me.

Marcos fighting the Frost sister’s mind control was amazing. He was ready to tear everything apart to get his Lorna and his baby. SO HOT.

Andy, buddy what are you doing? Sure, they gave you a better hair cut and cool clothes, but Reeva is crazy. Tell me you know that boy!

I’m having trouble understanding why Reed didn’t want to tell his wife and daughter his powers were coming back. He has two mutant children! They tried to equate Lauren’s fear of “coming out” to Reed’s but it’s just not the same. He was her parent and he hunted mutants. She legitimately feared her father’s rejection. Reed isn’t in the same situation at all and I see no reason to for him to be lying to everyone for months.

Kate hugs Reed once he tells her the truth, which is nice, but were we really expecting her to reject him? Did the writers forget they have two mutant children?

The Gifted blew past all the build up to Clarice and John’s relationship and now they’ve sewn the seeds for the break up - in the third episode. This whole “Clarice is a spy for the Erg and lies to John about it” storyline is only going one place. John is doing his fair share of lying and pushing Clarice away. Needless to say I am unhappy with how this relationship is being handled.

F.B.I. (“Green Birds” and “Prey”)

Finally got caught up on F.B.I. I thought “Prey” was a much stronger episode than “Green Birds.”

I am so glad they cast Sela Ward! I love her. Her character is much more likable as Maggie and Omar’s boss.

I’m here for Omar doing hot things because Omar is hot. I feel warm every time he talks about his military experience.

Still a little iffy about this show, but I’ll stick with it for now.

This Is Us (Katie Girls)

The depth of my hate for Jack's father knows no bounds.

"Or you can stay and I'll kill him." Honestly, I was okay with that option too Jack.

Randall is a mess watching his brother's movie and I stan this bromance so hard.

I am really freaking glad Randall is taking Kate on because I AM SO MAD AT HER.

Well that conversation swerved quickly. Stay on point Randall.

Okay well now we're off on a whole other thing and Kate is crying. Good grief children.

Not sure how Randall & Kate's discussion became a fight about adoption. The point was to discuss Kate's insensitivity regarding her remark about being the only person able to pass on Jack's genes. How did she turn it into Randall's insensitivity about her miscarriage?

Beth, Miguel and Toby having a group text to discuss their messed up in laws is AMAZING.

Randall is terrible at apologizing but also WHY IS HE APOLOGIZING?

I'm trying to hang with my girl Kate here. I've had a miscarriage and it's devastating, but your personal pain is not an excuse to be hurtful to others. Understanding where Randall was coming from was not a long bridge to cross.

I am so relating to Kevin putting the pieces together regarding Jack's service.

Beth got fired? NOOOOOO. My Beth!

Toby's reaction to Randall showing up was gold.

KATE AND JACK ARE DREAM SEQUENCING AND I AM NOT OKAY. Btw Jack could you advise Kate to stop being such a jackass to Randall? Thanks bro.

Awkward Rebecca and Jack is the worst. You are soul mates kids. Get it together.

Jack wants to marry you Rebecca and have lots and lots of babies. You are his dream.

I hope Randall and Beth have 9 months of savings. Suze Orman says you need 9 months of savings.

Marriage is never 50/50. But I think Beth and Randall have been going 90/10 for awhile and it's time for that ratio to shift.

I love how the writers find commonality in their characters in ways you never thought of before. Randall and Toby sharing their struggles with depression and anxiety was such a beautiful way to bond these characters

Kate wanted to marry Mark Paul Gosselar. Same girl.

A Million Little Things (”Save The Date”)

HOLY. FREAKING. CRAP. THEY. ALL. FOUND. OUT. That was fast y’all! Wow!

If we’re blowing past the big affair secret does that mean we’ll find out the reason John killed himself? It’s an annoying mystery. Cough up the answers, show.

All the awards to Grace Park. She’s been sadly under utilized on this show until now and boy did she come out swinging. The scenes where she confronts Eddie and Delilah were amazing.

I cheered when Grace slapped Eddie. I have no sympathy for him. He’s cheating because his wife is gone at work all the time? It’s called a mortgage jackass. Guitar lessons aren’t going to get it done.

It irritates me when people act like they have no choice in who they sleep with. Eddie is walking around like falling in love with Delilah was an accident. Listen pal you are a grown ass man. You made choices. Own it. Cheating is such a mean thing to do. Nobody is forcing anyone to stay in these marriages. Get a divorce before you go hopping into bed with someone else.

I’m only slightly less angry with Delilah but that’s only because her husband jumped off a building. Her scene where she screams to friends to ask if she was the reason John killed himself was gutting. Guit is a bitch.

By the way, even if Jon made his peace with the affair it doesn’t make the affair okay. Also, nobody asked for Katherine’s opinon. Pretty sure she’d tell everyone where to stick if if they’d did though.

I feel like Gary is representing the audience in this episode, i.e. me. I don’t think the writers needed to muddy the water with Gary’s issues with marriage, his parents divorce and his birthday. I understand Jon and Delilah were his shining example of marriage bliss, but we didn’t need to make this about his childhood trauma. His anger was warranted by itself. Delilah and Eddie did an awful thing.

We need to move it along with Maggie’s storyline. She’s the friends-with-benefit-rando-friend-everyone-just-met-but-pretend-like-they’ve-known-her-since-always. Her impermanence in all of these people’s lives makes the level she’s included in things... odd. Let’s get the cancer out in the open and solidify her relationships - particularly with Gary.

Seriously how do they not know Remi is back? She's so cranky. Jane is much more cheerful. Also, I feel like her voice is three octaves lower.

Remi can fight with samurai swords. Who knew? A list of all of her skills would be great.

Do I call her Remi or Jane y'all? I'm going with Remi for now.

Remi's impression of Jane being worried about Kurt was pretty spot on. Well played evil one.

Anyone else enjoying Remi looking all murdery every time anyone mentions Roman is dead? Same girl. Except I'm sad Luke Mitchell isn't on the show anymore not murdery because that'd be weird.

Infinity War characters and relationships

Warning: spoilers ahead and only some characters, not all

The title says it all. This post is about what I like/my opinion. And to give warning I'm new to the Marvel Universe so I believe what I mention here you all may know already. Please feel free to correct me (nicely) if I get anything wrong.

1. Thor and Loki

《I feel like I would have liked Loki for the simple fact that he died for his brother but, he got killed off before I could determine whether I want to like him or not! I know I can go back and watch the previous Thor films to see whether I do or not, but I have a strong feeling that I would. And from my understanding, in previous films he dies only to come back to life so he may come back in the sequel. 🤷🏾‍♀️

《I can rock with Thor! Even though this is after he cut his hair and all the events that have happened, I can still roll with him. He's strong, nice, brave, and from what I got out of the first scene in the movie between him and Loki, they really love each other despite differences and do just about anything for each other.

《To side note, I do now have a little understanding of why people ship Thorki. I mean I don’t and I'm not bashing those who do, but I see a little bit why if you do.

2. Tony Stark and Peter Parker + Stephen Strange

《I flipping love their relationship! I mean I really do! I understand that it's a mentor-mentee relationship, but I feel it's more than that. It's a father-son relationship as well in my eyes, and I really caught that at the end when Peter was disappearing and telling Tony that he didn't want to go. That scene melted my heart! And from my understanding of Tony based on what I've read, his dad didn't do much for him in his life so he doesn't want Peter to go through the same thing. Oh and add in Stephen Strange, I loved these three together.

3. Dr. Stephen Strange

《Y'all I really want his powers. Well him and Wanda’s, but with him, I need to be able to make million copies of myself to attack people and make a whip out of my powers 😂😂. But that's it, I just like his powers. Now in the movie I was surprised that he gave up the stone. Well it might be for a good reason, but that's a whole nother topic.

4. Vision and Wanda Maximoff

《I thought their relationship was cute. It's sad that it ended the way it did. You know Wanda really didn't want to destroy the stone killing Vision because she loved him, but had to anyway to save the world. (Only for Thanos to change reality and get it).🙄 But Wanda, I want her powers too. Is it wrong that I want two characters' powers? Oh well I like 'em and if I could I would have them.

5. Bucky Barnes

《I'm not gonna lie I liked Bucky in this movie, and probably because he fought with the Avengers and not against them. I do think maybe in previous movies I wouldn't have liked him- oh who am I kidding I like Killmonger for crying out loud! Bucky's cool with me y'all. And that interaction with him and Rocket on the battlefield for that moment cracked me up.

《To side note, I’m kind of starting to ship Stucky.

6. Gamora

《I'm sorry but I had a feeling she was gonna die when she attempted to kill Thanos. I just knew it. Now I would have to go back and watch the Guardians of the Galaxy movies to see how I really feel about her, but I knew she was gonna die. But she may come back in the sequel too 🤷🏾‍♀️. To bring this to light, when the movie flashed back to when Thanos took Gamora and murdered half the population of her home planet, honestly I thought that was supposed to represent a history of people conquering a country (or even a whole continent) and murdering and raping women, men, and children. And even colonizing. Just saying.

7. Peter Quill

《I found him lowkey funny. For example when the Guardians found Thor and you could tell he was jealous when Gamora was rubbing Thor’s muscles and he told her to stop, that cracked me up. And when he was making his voice deeper and Rocket pointed that out had me laughing then too. But I was so mad at him when they were on Titan and Parker and Tony almost had the gauntlet off, but Peter had let his emotions get the best of him and you all know what happened as a result. I understand Gamora was your girl, but, HELLO, Peter, lives are at stake! Check your emotions later, there was no time for that then! You could've beat up his dead corpse in the end 😂! Overall, I could possibly rock with him too.

8. T’Challa aka Black Panther

《Of course you all know I had to save the best for last. As y'all know I am a Black Panther fan and I have no shame. I will be honest and it may be just me, but I felt like T’Challa didn’t get a whole lot of screen time compared to other members, but hey, as long as Chadwick and everyone else BP related got paid then I’m not mad. 😂 Now when the Avengers were in Wakanda getting ready to battle the Children of Thanos and T’Challa and everyone was yelling out this

I thought ‘oh shoot it’s really about to go down. Let me get prepared.’ Yet I still was not prepared. Now you all know that as those demons, I call them demons because that’s what they look like to me (I don't know what they were called), were breaking through the force field only to kill themselves and T’Challa told Shuri on his cue to open the barrier, I promise I almost had a heart attack. I was thinking ‘really T’Challa? You just can’t let them kill themselves and even if a few of them do make it past the barrier y’all can’t set off bombs? Or have Bucky shoot at them?’ I mean T’Challa scared me with that move, but it wasn’t too bad, at least up until the end of the movie.

《To side note, I’m so glad Shuri, M'Baku, Okoye, and even Ayo made an appearance. Love them! But I do wonder how Shuri and Ramonda took the news of her brother and her son being gone. Oh and who's running Wakanda at the moment. I would say probably Shuri because in the comics she does end up becoming the Black Panther after T'Challa is severely injured, but who knows🤷🏾‍♀️.

So this was my takeon some of the characters in the movie and what I found interesting. Thank you for reading my rant and have a nice day.

Why Bubbline will never be canon - and that's okay! Excuse the self-assured title, but I wanted it to be eye-catching. To put out a disclaimer right off the bat, know that I have no problem with people who ship Bubbline, or Bubbline as a concept. Nor am I saying this is 100% true.Everything you're about to read is my own interpretation of Princess Bubblegum's relationship with Finn and Marceline - a culmination of what I've gathered from how they are portrayed, and hard evidence in the show itself and the staff surrounding it.To put it out there right now: I wouldn't care if I'm dead wrong and the show confirms Bubbline in the finale. I would nod my head and go, "Okay, so it is," and reexamine their relationship in light of this new information. All I'm doing here is offering my own insight - because I've been going back and forth with /u/leusid about this for a while, and decided many on this sub would find my ramblings interesting, or at least insightful.I'm aware it's hard to see anything outside of this perspective after it's felt confirmed for so many years, but understand mine as I explain the rest of my reasoning.So here's what I believe: Bubbline has never, and will never, be canon - furthermore, the series may end with Fubblegum.Fucking nuts, right? Why would I think such a thing, when the writers have dropped copious amounts of Bubbline fuel, and Fubblegum's been effectively dead since season 3?!(Can I just say I hate using these stupid ship names? I just do because people know what I'm referring to with a single word.)To address the elephant in the room: the hints. They're so obvious, why would the writers put them there if it wasn't canon!? Well, here's the thing - this show is well-written, and every line and scene is crafted with thought and intent; the characters, despite their strangeness, are very human and real in how they grow and interact. We all know this, but I'm emphasizing it because I agree that - yes - all of those scenes were intentional.Because I think the writers are just fucking with y'all, and I wouldn't put it past them to do that.Everyone interpreted What Was Missing to have Bubbline hints - despite Rebecca's song "I'm Just Your Problem" being a personal song she wrote about how she once felt toward her coworkers working on the show, which is followed by "Best Friends in the World." Despite her work on Steven Universe, I don't think she would just decide to make two main characters gay unless the entire staff, and Ward, agreed upon it.The next time we get any teasing, it's in Sky Witch - and the ONLY tease is Bubblegum sniffing the fuck outta that shirt (which I will talk about further down). Everything from then on was framed in a romantic lens, when in truth, you can just as easily see their interactions as a close, special friendship. From the moment I heard it, Marcy's line from Ketchup - "If that's how you interpret it" - just feels like the writers addressing everyone who reads Bubbline in their interactions.There's three specific instances I've discussed regarding implications of Bubbline in the show, and will use to explain why I interpret their relationship the way I do: a little moment in Broke His Crown, the aforementioned shirt, and that scene with Finn and Bubblegum everyone seems to forget about.First, this moment in Broke His Crown. You have to keep in mind that when creating a show, whether it's live action or a storyboarded cartoon, every character movement is done with intent or purpose. That's just how this medium conveys its story and characters.So with that in mind, take this into account: Gunther, Bonnie, Marceline and Simon are navigating the maze of the crown, trying to find the source of its corruption. In the establishing shot they are walking in this order.But as soon as dialogue starts, it's something private and personal between Simon and Marceline, and it keeps the focus on them. You have to keep in mind that this is the first time Bonnie has encountered the man - and this episode is her finally coming to emotionally understand why Ice King is so important to Marceline.This is important because, when in the next shot with Bubblegum, she's walking beside Gunther, smiling, hand on the back of his head - something interesting about that is she doesn't quite interact with him like Marceline does throughout the episode. She just meekly waves goodbye to him at the end, even. It's not because she dislikes Gunther, but she lacks the connection to him that Marceline does, for a number of personal reasons I bet - primary reason he's just data in a piece of equipment she'll likely never meet again.But this setup is important because it shows that Bonnie respects this is a personal moment for Marcy and Simon, and is giving them some privacy. When Simon asks Marcy if she has a boyfriend, she gives a loud, sharp laugh due to Ash being the only boyfriend she's ever had - her only romantic partner - and he was quite the shitpiece.Many have interpreted Bonnie's reaction here as relief that she doesn't have a boyfriend. But Bonnie doesn't grin to herself like this, as she's already smiling. She only looks over because of this laugh, and turns the moment Marceline says "No" - a sign that she was interested in Marceline's reaction, and also was listening to their dialogue the whole time. When she realizes it's all in good nature from Marceline, she resumes to her previous position of looking ahead alongside Gunther with a smile.If there truly were any intentional romantic implications to this scene, then Bonnie would have looked over as soon as Simon asked that question, and looked away smiling after Marceline said "No."And I was going to mention him anyway, but Ash is one of the reasons why I don't see Bubbline happening. If there was something in the past, Marcy would have likely told Simon. That's not hard evidence but it's more to the contrary of the ship like I believe, as I don't think Marcy would lie to Simon about PB being her girlfriend at one point (or even currently, as some people insanely believe). Ash was Marceline's only romantic partner, and it proves why she, as a person, is not ready for such a thing.The thing about Marceline's character is she craves healthy companionship, with anybody. Throughout her life she's only lost people she cared about, and her early life is what shaped her into the emotionally aloof punk we know and love in pre-Stakes Adventure Time. Ash was one of many instances that shows just how broken Marceline is inside - where she endured and blinded herself to someone who was clearly abusing her, not physically but emotionally - solely because she didn't want to be alone again.If that isn't telling, Marceline even lied to Simon about the nature of their breakup: she didn't dump him because he was a jerk, though that's the heart of it simplified to the max. She dumped him because he betrayed her trust and sold something that was beloved to her - but she doesn't have that specific memory anymore, only the knowledge that he took it away so she'd still be with him.Ash was more than a jerk, and Marceline didn't break up with him because of that. Even though Bonnie isn't Ash, obviously, it's clear that neither Marceline nor the Princess were ever in a healthy emotional state to endure a serious relationship. It's so much more telling, and fitting, that they had their ugly breakup in a friendship sense in the past.Take Marcy's history and person into account, and then take Bubblegum's: she's only ever had the Candy People as her friends, her whole life is dedicated to preserving their's, and she's immortal. Because of these factors it was hard to finally be a real friend with someone who was her equal, just as it was for Marceline, and that's why they had a falling out that, only by the end of Varmints, has finally started to mend itself, and that's because of the friendship they share with Finn.Because a friendship between these two would be incredibly positive for both of them. Although they are very different on the outside, deep inside these two share many spiritual similarities: they have trouble expressing their emotions, yet both have a boundless capacity to care; they're both teenagers, and immortal. Both have gone through untold trials and tribulations that have resulted in their emotional isolation. Since Varmints, Marceline has come to understand why Bubblegum is the way she is, and since Sky Witch, or even What Was Missing, really, Bubblegum's better understood why Marceline is the way she is.Or perhaps not - perhaps long before that. I think Bonnie never had a problem with Marceline (in fact, given how lonely she is, and her rebuttal in What Was Missing, I'm sure she loved the friendship she had with her, and was deeply hurt and confused when she was driven away by an apparent lack of caring).Which brings me to another point: the shirt.First off, before we get into anything about that, I wanna address the smelling - as people bring it up a lot. It's so easy to just look at the scene and not think about it - we see a shirt Marceline gave Bubblegum, and she's just smelling the F out of it. Clearly this has romantic connotations to it, up until you actually think about it and what that means if there really was true romantic intent behind her actions here.Because if there were, then that means she's smelling Marceline's scent, and that makes no goddamn sense, because Marceline obviously doesn't, and hasn't, worn that shirt. I mean maybe I'm weird but I've smelled my own clothes before - and Bonnie's weirder. Her own bubblegum-aroma's ingrained in that thing by now, she wears it every night for Christ's sake.This is probably the exact line of thinking the writers had when making Sky Witch. What you don't know about writers, is they think, a lot, about what they're writing. Any one that has a bit of pride cares about what they're putting out, so I'm sure this has crossed their mind and they knew people would read romance into it because Bubbline is massively popular. People were obviously going to be looking for more fuel for their ship, given that it was the first episode they had together since, but when you take this moment out, the entire episode is just Bubblegum and Marceline on an adventure.I think that was a mistake honestly, because people just saw the rest of the episode through a romantic lens and really missed the excellently crafted dynamic between these two characters - really told a lot about how they viewed and interacted with each other at the time.Now the shirt: I think with everything I've said, it's even more important to both characters that it's a symbol of their friendship.Take my little analysis of them into account, and you'll see why such a friendship is not only an incredibly positive influence on the both of them, but also very important for both their happiness. Stakes, among everything that it accomplished for Marceline's character, also casually displayed why Bonnie is important to her, and vice versa. It isn't in the forefront, but we see in their actions and interactions with each other that they have the ability to be such great friends to one another - and in Marcy's dream, her desire is to live her life being Bubblegum's best friend. And from what Bonnie offers at the end, this is something she wishes for as well. Marceline conceding that they may now be "together forever" shows how much of a growing experience Stakes was for her.I know blushing typically has romantic connotations to it, and Bonnie did so twice in the miniseries: when Marceline tells her this, and when she calls her "nice and pink", though Bubblegum focuses on the "nice" aspect, thinking she actually means nice, as a person. You have to keep in mind that from PB's perspective, at this stage in their friendship, although they've made amends she probably still thinks Marceline is bitter with her - she acknowledges in Varmints how awful she's treated her, after all, and I'm sure she hasn't forgotten about it with a single wave of the hand from Marceline. So these two statements by her must have made Bonnie feel forgiven.So the shirt Marceline gave her, from Princess's perspective, was more important to her than Hambo was to Marcy - something whose significance we are fully aware of.According to Maja, who is the head mistress on all things emotional, that has greater value to PB than a doll Marceline was given by the father figure who'd saved her and was inevitably lost.To me, this just tells me how important Marceline's friendship is to Bonnie. Marcy's one of the few real friends she'd ever had in her long, long life - and I've hammered to death already why that's significant. You're right, Bonnie isn't an emotional person - but she shows so much through her actions, all throughout the series. Look at the lengths she's willing to go to protect the Candy People, her appreciation and value of Finn - even in Broke His Crown, how she doesn't hesitate to help Ice King because she knows how important he is to Marceline.Actions speak louder than words, and Bubblegum understands this better than anybody, even if she herself doesn't realize this. And someone giving her a gift? What was probably the first gift she ever got, and it was from one of the first real friends she ever had? It makes sense why the shirt was valued so for Bonnie - why she wore it every night as a pajama shirt (which, according to Marceline, she never, ever seen her wore).And finally we come to Finn, and I'm going to make that a separate post later in the day.Hope you enjoyed my ramblings, and at least learned a thing or two about your favorite character. Oh, and Marceline too.

Weekly Rundown 10/21/18-10/26/18

Time to rundown what I’m watching, loving, hating and everything in between! Spoilers ahead! Full episode reviews and reactions are linked in the titles.

Daredevil Season 3

Just so y’all know - most nuns do not wear their habits in public anymore. It’s been that way since Vatican II, but TV refuses to catch up.

The action is amaaaaazing again. I love how Matt actually gets tired when he’s fighting.

I don’t want Matt to put that ugly Daredevil suit on again he looks ridiculous. Keep the black mask and call it a day.

I want Foggy to propose very badly. I need a Foggy wedding in Season 4.

Is there any particular reason why Karen didn’t haul ass to Frank’s Punisher lair when her life was in danger and Matty Mcbrown eyes was off Daredeviling an existential crisis? That’s where I’d go.

Matt refusing to ask the other Defenders help because “it’s not their fight” is the stupidest reason ever.

Arrow (“The Longbow Hunters”)

It is a bit creepy when Stan says, “I bet a guy like that would do anything to keep his family safe.” Maybe Stan is a nuthouse, but leave me to my dream for now.

Is it me or did Yorke look older than 40? 1978????

Deputy Director Bell is evil. Calling it now.

The Longbow Hunters don’t actually use bows. This is a twist I did not see coming.

Bl*ck S*ren can’t lawyer worth a damn, but she can wear a suit.

“Stay behind me.” That was oddly hot Rene. I’m wildly uncomfortable that I find you attractive right now, but it is what it is.

Rene: Been back in town a week and you’re already sneaking out of A.R.G.U.S. behind Papa Dig’s back? I’m so proud.

This whole exchange was delightful and not remotely derogatory like “Blondie.” THY NAME IS CHARACTER GROWTH.

“Grab your balls Curtis, we’re going in.” If the Rene character only exists to say this one line of dialogue then it was worth it.

Why didn’t BS and Dinah go after the Longbow Hunter? What is up with allowing all these criminals to run away at a moderately brisk pace and our people acting like they can’t catch them? They are called legs! Move your ass!

Legends of Tomorrow (“The Virgin Gary”)

Legends Season 4 premiere is fantastic and full of all the hi-jinks I’ve missed over hiatus.

“Speaking of the same old crap isn’t that what he did last year?”Legends gets points for acknowledging that Wally gets the storyline shaft a lot.

When you are officially a hero the time bureau gives you a medal, but I was more excited about the balloons.

It would be super weird if the Legends spent more than a day in 2018.

Remember when Oliver asked Sara to move in with him and she went running screaming in the other direction? It all worked out because Sara knew he was really in love with Felicity. I’m just saying she’s come a looooong way.

I want to be clear about one thing and it’s not up for debate. Ready? The best thing about Legends is Mick. It’s always Mick. That is all.

OMG NATE’S FATHER IS BIFF FROM BACK TO THE FUTURE?????!!!!!!!! THIS IS SPECTACULAR CASTING!!!

Manifest “Connecting Flights”

It was nice to fill in the back story of the characters left behind after the plane went missing, however the show is starting to lose my attention. I need more movement on these character relationships. Manifest is hitting a lot of the same notes week after week.

This Is Us (“Toby”)

Randall is going ahead with the city council job? Are they independently wealthy Does no one have to work?

Baby Toby is the cutest.

Holy crap is this how in vitro really works? It’s so friggin expensive and no guarantees. Wow, my sympathies to all those who have gone through this excruciating process.

Randall unbuttoning his shirt is all the reason I need to vote for him. Done deal.

Toby used his wonderful sense of humor to cheer up his depressed Mom. Ugh my heart.

But for real though sometimes you need just “one damn day.” #MomLife

Three hours to get ready Kate? Just as an FYI - that’s all over when you have a baby. You’ll be lucky to get a shower.

Miguel carried a piano up stairs to cheer Rebecca up. That’s love.

The Rookie (Pilot” and “Crash Course”)

I really loved The Rookie. I typically don’t hate procedurals, but this one has surprised me thus far. It’s fast paced, so it held my attention more. I hope it stays that way.

I love how it is the rookies versus the training officers. It fills my Rookie Blue void.

I am not invested in any ships yet. I am not buying the romance between Nolan and Lucy so far. I actually think Lucy has more chemistry with Bradford and Nolan with the Captain.

A Million Little Things (“Friday Night Dinner” and “The Game of Your Life”)

I want to love this show, but they are making it next to impossible. I hate cheating storylines in any show. It’s one of the main reasons I quit watching Shonda Rhimes’ shows because she is unable to write one without including adultery. Arrow’s original love story revolved around cheating and was an absolute mess. It feels like a lazy way to inject drama. This cheating storyline between Eddie and Delilah is making two characters who are otherwise very likable extremely unlikable.

Instead of jettisoning this plot into the atmosphere where it belongs and never speaking of it again, A Million Little Things is double down on it. Delilah is pregnant! Oh wonderful, now we get to play “Who’s the Daddy?” for several weeks.

Apparently, the writers come from The Fl*sh school of writing. Characters can only be mad at other characters for one episode. All the friends found out about Eddie and Delilah’s affair and the very next week they are sitting down to pizza. It’s at Delilah’s house and Eddie’s wife Katherine comes too because FRIENDS. No. Just no.

Instead of being angry at Eddie and Delilah, the friends make excuses for them. Regina’s conversation with Delilah turned into a huge “I didn’t see your pain” apology, which is flat out ridiculous. What Delilah did was so off the charts wrong there is no excuse for it. If you are in pain see a therapist. It’s not an excuse to cheat on your husband. Also, Regina you are not to blame for Delilah lying to everyone for over two years.

Gary, who has been the angriest, decides he’s being too hard on Eddie (ya know by actually holding him accountable for his actions) and lets Eddie move in with him after his wife finally kicked him out. Are you freaking kidding me with this? I was already mildly irked at Gary for giving Delilah a free pass, but I understood his reasoning because her husband just jumped off a building. She has been punished quite a lot. But Eddie? I think we could muster a couple episodes of anger towards Eddie.

The writers attempted drum up sympathy for Delilah by shining a little light on her seemingly perfect marriage with Jon. It’s not really perfect, but what marriage is? Jon was short with Delilah during a family dinner. He took a phone call from work and snapped, “Everything I do is for this family.” What a bastard. Of course, that is reason enough for Delilah to jump into bed with Eddie, her husband’s best friend. GIVE. ME. A. FRIGGIN. BREAK. If my husband slept with someone else every time I was cranky with him, he’d have a harem.

So, on top of being suicide apologists, the writers are adding cheating apologists. There is no reason to cheat. It’s just mean. Nobody has put a gun to your head. If you want out of your marriage you march to an attorney’s office and file for divorce. Not sure if you want a divorce? Then go to counseling. But cheating, under any circumstances, is wrong. It’s cruel and selfish. It’s trying to have your cake and eat it too. A Million Little Things trying to excuse away Eddie and Delilah’s heinous behavior is almost as bad as the cheating itself. Trying to make suicide and cheating okay with excuses is dangerous behavior. I AM NOT A FAN.

Stray Thought - on what planet is a school program presented in the middle of the freaking day? What kind of ridiculous school do Eddie and Katherine send their son to?

Blindspot (“The Quantico Affair”)

I don't actually know what Patterson's name is, but I feel confident it is not Lisa.

I think Martin Gero saw me write "Where is Patterson's storyline?" in my last review. I could have opted for patience, but complaining loudly via written word felt like a better plan.
