[TWST AU]: In this timeline, there’s an MC/Yuu who is also from the Valorant universe, but with unique abilities.

[Synopsis]: Agent!MC/Yuu was testing the limits of their abilities, but somehow ended with twisted fairytale shenanigans.

[Gender Neutral MC/Yuu]

[TW]: Fighting, guns, some cursing, and mild body horror? (Scarring on MC/Yuu’s body) and I think that’s about everything.

[(A/N)]: Have I already told you I love this character? I can’t help it! My main blog is basically plagued with reblogs of this Valorant agent.

[(A/N #2)]: You know the drill! This MC/Yuu variant is between 16-18 age range and gifs will be included to visualize what kind of actions will there be.

[(A/N #3)]: Yami [闇 (やみ)] meaning “Darkness” or “The Dark” in Japanese.

Agent Yami [闇 (やみ)], a.k.a. MC/Yuu Kiritani is the cousin of Agent Yoru, The Riftwalker.

They got in contact with Radianite when they also were checking in the infamous Icebox, promptly getting affected by its properties and developed similar abilities like their cool older cousin.

You can say the training was painful.

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Dejects through one of their rifts and lands on Yoru* Ryo?! Are you okay?

Yoru: *Groans* I’m good. Fix your landing.

Agent!MC/Yuu: Sorry. I’ll get it better.

With enough timing and practice, they’re ready for missions.

Having two Riftwalkers would be beneficial for every mission.

Sometimes they compete each other on who gets the highest kill count.

During another training session, they wanted to test the limits to their riftwalking powers, but Yoru warned them the consequences of misusing their abilities.

Did they listen? No.

Did they leave a note for their cousin explaining about “breaking limits”? Yes.

As they were traveling through rifts and the darkness, they continued further ahead.

…

Agent Yami somehow ended up in a castle after dark.

They take off their mask and become cautious as this is unfamiliar territory.

Agent Yami pulls out their firearm, ready to shoot possible enemies.

Just as they were about to sneak out, they were spotted by Headmaster Crowley.

Crowley: Excuse me? Students are prohibited to be in this area.

Agent!MC/Yuu: くそ [Kuso].

Crowley: Hm?

Agent Yami flash-bangs in front of Crowley, temporarily blinding him.

Crowley: My eyes!

They knock him over and start running away from the scene.

While they ran, Agent Yami trips over what seems to be a huge furry monster.

Agent!MC/Yuu: Fuck. How did I trip over a cat?

Grim: Who are you callin’ a cat?! I’m Grim the Great!

Agent!MC/Yuu: …It talks. I’m leaving. *Rips open a rift*

Grim: Nyah?! Wait! *Grabs onto them*

Agent!MC/Yuu: Get off! You’ll get harmed in the darkness.

Crowley: *Finds the two* Seize your running!

The two ran off again and Agent Yami tucks Grim in their leather coat.

The young agent pulls out their mask, immediately wears it, then rips open another rift and jumps through.

Both of them ended up in the Mirror Chamber where the dorm-sorting ceremony takes place like in the Prologue.

Everyone was looking at the newcomer, with confusion.

Agent!MC/Yuu: What the…Is this a cult?

Crowley: *Barges inside* You! How dare you blinding the headmaster of Night Raven College?

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Confused* Night Raven what?

Crowley: The all-boys school of magic.

Agent!MC/Yuu: …Are you trippin’ or somethin’?

Needless to say, there were explanations exchanged and the ceremony continued.

Oh yeah.

Agent Yami can’t go back to their dimension as their dimensional scars are opening up and need time to heal over.

It wasn’t pleasant to see.

[During Chapter 1: Riddle’s Overblot]

Deuce: Where’s MC/Yuu?!

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Rips through a rift behind Overblot!Riddle*

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Counterattacks him with a baseball bat*

*WHAM!!!*

Ace & Deuce: OH!

Overblot!Riddle: *Spits out the Blot stone and falls unconscious*

Trey: RIDDLE!!!

Agent!MC/Yuu: I cannot waste bullets on someone like him.

[P.E.: Sports Field]

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Practicing their abilities* *Sends out a mirror decoy of themselves*

Cater: Yo, Yami-Chan/Kun!

Agent!MC/Yuu: Cater, don’t come towards-!

[Cater broke the decoy and he also became temporarily blinded from the flash.]

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Helps guiding the poor Third Year back to his dorm* I told you not to come close whenever I’m training. My FAKEOUT decoy is effective.

Cater: Sorry, Yami…

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Sighs* ‘Is this how Ryo feels with his colleagues?’

[Hallway]

Savanaclaw Student: You think you’re so tough because you have those weird powers.

Agent!MC/Yuu: Are you trying to pick a fight? You think that’s tough considering you’ll lose anyway.

Savanaclaw Student: Why you little… *Throws a punch*

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Blocks the attack* Trying to instigate a brawl? Bad idea.

[They use their riftwalking abilities to attack the Savanaclaw student. They dodge the blows, punches their face, kicking them off balance and knocks them over.]

Savanaclaw Student: *Lying on the floor with their head spinning*

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Pulls out their Butterfly Comb to fix their hair* I told you. Bad idea to instigate a brawl. *Walks away*

Epel: *Watched the whole fight* Whoa.

[Ramshackle Dorm]

Deuce: *Notices the visible scars* Yami…You have scars?

Agent!MC/Yuu: Hm? Oh, yeah. These Dimensional scars are from walking through the rifts. My cousin told me that this Radiant power is not much of a blessing and consequences will happen. I have to ease off from using too much.

Deuce: Oh. Then what about these?

Agent!MC/Yuu: Previous missions and fights. I guess finishing fights runs in the family.

I’m thinking after surviving a fairytale bogus world, they’re able to return to their original world.

You can imagine the young agent sprinting through the halls of the base, trying to find their mentor/blood-related relative.

Agent!MC/Yuu: YORU!

Yoru: YAMI!

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Tackles him with a tight hug*

Yoru:くそ [Kuso]! What was that for?

Agent!MC/Yuu: I’m sorry I broke the limits! I went through a hellish experience and it took me so long to find the pathway back here with everybody I know and love. How long was I gone for?

Yoru: A month.

Agent!MC/Yuu: …Seriously? I suffered a month? It was a year for me.

Yeah, MC/Yuu will never break limits again.

The Curse of the Four Leaf Clover

So one evening I was talking with my sister and friends. I don’t remember why exactly but my sister had brought up carrying around lucky charms. Among the lucky charms she brought up four-leaf clovers and I jokingly went “you probably shouldn’t.” I had kinda forgotten that no one besides me in the group was into Black Clover.

Either way, my sister asked why four-leaf clovers weren’t lucky. I quickly explained the lore of grimoires and clovers in BC then gave brief overviews of each wielder of a four-leaf grimoire.

Licht lost his entire tribe of people and had to turn himself into a giant demon to stop a devil from taking over his body. And when he’s resurrected, he has to fight the same devil.

Lumiere had to fight and kill his best friend (Licht). He probably didn’t know if his sister lived or died the day of that tragedy. Then his body turned to dust as he died.

Patry died as a child before he could get a grimoire and when he came back, it was all part of the devil’s plan. He got turned into a raging, mindless dark elf and permanently lost his grimoire.

Yuno lost his parents and kingdom as a baby. He grew up in poverty for most of his life. If Asta hadn’t come along, he would’ve had his grimoire stolen the day he got it. After becoming a Magic Knight, he’s bullied and harassed by his co-workers (Alecdora and Langris being the most prominent examples). Then when he learns of his royal origins, that same day his boss is kidnapped and half of his co-workers are killed.

And I didn’t bring this one up with my sister and friends but the elf soul that Yuno’s first grimoire actually belongs to is so unlucky that they didn’t even get out of the womb. Yikes.

Regardless, five-for-five, four-leaf grimoire wielders are met with misfortune.

But why would that be when four-leaf clovers are famous symbols of luck?

Well, maybe because Tabata is a Japanese man. Japanese and Western symbols of good luck aren’t the same. If you are the least bit familiar with Japanese language, homophones, and superstitions then you know where I’m going with this. In Japanese, the number “four” can be pronounced the same way as the word for “death.” Thus, four is unlucky.

Thus, we have our unlucky clovers.

I know what some people might be thinking. “But they’re all blessed by mana.” “Yuno is a prodigy.” “Patry was turned back to normal.”

Being blessed by mana didn’t make people agree with Licht and Lumiere’s vision of humans and elves living in harmony. The elves accepted Lumiere and Tetia but no other humans. They cursed the humans in their dying breaths.

Lumiere’s invention, which was meant to bring elven power and human ingenuity together, was used to massacre the elves. He watched his friend Secre curse herself with Weg to preserve his life.

Patry learned that he was being manipulated and that he hurt many innocents for nothing. He went against the beliefs of the one he admired for nothing. He believed he was meant for greatness because of his four-leaf but that was actually his downfall as his grimoire became Zagred’s five-leaf grimoire.

Yuno is put under so much pressure and is always on his own. He alone was the “hope of the church.” He was entrusted with responsibility even when Asta proclaimed his desire to help. Mimosa and Klaus are with him often but it always feels like they’re associating with him because they’re Asta’s friends, not Yuno’s. He was the only person able to solo a Dark Disciple and face Zenon for even a moment. And in the final battle against Zenon, Finral and Langris couldn’t be there to support him and Yuno had to face Zenon alone. No, the elf soul and Bell do not count because, let’s be real, both are little more than talking power-ups. All the pressure on Yuno is patially due to being “blessed” with the four-leaf grimoire.

Yuno being a prodigy, being vice captain at 17, and getting two grimoires are snazzy things but I chalk that up to him being Tabata’s most special and favorite child more than anything else./hj

When you really look at Licht, Lumiere, Patry, and Yuno, their lives are unfortunate. Triumphant moments and incredible power do not make up for the more personal misfortunes in their lives.

All of them had high expectations put upon them and all of them have been met with tragedy and failure. Patry and Yuno are alive and able to fight for a happy end but they’re in no way blessed. None of them are.

The four-leaf grimoire is not an omen of luck. It is an omen of death and despair for those who have one.

Dark Secrets

Scenarios wherein some of the Black Clover men reveal a dark secret to you and you let them know that you won't go anywhere because of it.

Characters: Julius Novachrono, William Vangeance, Nozel Silva, Morgen Faust, Nacht Faust

Genre: general, slight hurt/comfort

Julius Novachrono

"It's of the utmost importance that you know."

Julius said that to you the day before he brought you out to one of the forests in the Forsaken Realm.

You are filled with concern and fear. You repeatedly ask for clarification but are only told that it's about his job. Is he going to take on a difficult mission? Is there some kind of threat made against him?

Then, Julius comes to a stop. On the ground in front of you, largely hidden by overgrowth, is a giant sphere bearing the same symbol that Julius had tattooed on his forehead.

"This magic tool stores mana to be used later," Julius begins to explain. "I discovered that it was compatible with my Time Magic and made use of that fact." Julius looks at you, his expression somber yet also apologetic. "This invention here is my contingency in case of a worst case scenario. But even if it does bring me back, I may not be at full power."

Julius takes you by the hand and squeezes it.

"I want to continue working as a Magic Knight and eventually become Wizard King. I want to shape a brighter future. But if I have to use this..."

There is a pain in your chest. Julius is far too giving for his own good. He already knows the risk of the job and even expects to die if his contingency is anything to go off of. Despite your worry, you squeeze Julius' hand and smile at him.

"Don't worry. I'll be with you no matter what. We're in this together."

The fear that you would run at the slightest hint of risk was washed away from Julius' mind. He leaned in and thanked you with a tender kiss, more in love with you than before.

"I keep forgetting that half my strength is with you," Julius remarked as you two pull away from the the kiss. "Thank you for always being with me."

"You're always welcome," you replied.

William Vangeance

"My dear, I would like to court you." William's words would've made your heart leap. Yet there was an anxious look in his eyes and his lips were pulled in a thin line. "But I don't believe it would be right to do so until you know."

"Know what?" you asked hesitantly.

William smiled sadly at you. He touched his mask. Without any words, you understood. You had suspected for a while that the mask was more than a fashion statement.

The room was painfully silent. The sound of William's footsteps. The door's lock clicking into place.

When William was in front of you again, your eyes met. His fear was palpable. Then, he removed his mask and you saw him, the real him. There were no words for it, how painful and twisted his curse looked. Slowly, you touched the edge of the mark which made William flinch the slightest bit.

"I've had this my whole life and may have it the rest of my days. I've had suitors turn me down just hearing I was cursed," William said, tears coming to his eyes.

"Will... This is..." As you struggled to get your words out, you saw him bite his lip and the tears fall. "Not going to change anything." You cupped his face and make him look at you. "I fell in love with a kind man, not a pretty face. Besides, the mark kind of matches your eyes." You and William laugh a bit at your remark.

More tears fell from William's eyes but were accompanied by a bright grin. The shadows in his heart may not have left entirely, but you would help keep them at bay. The hope that you loved him now became assurance that you did.

You pressed a kiss to the corner of his eye. The skin looked blemished but it was soft against your own. Neither you nor William had nothing to fear. This secret would not break you two, but make your love stronger.

"Would you really marry if I asked?" William asked, his whole form still shaking. "Even with this?"

Who do you write for? As mentioned above, I write for transfem readers primarily. If my posts ever open up for requests, I will include other gender identities, but due to my current schedule & attention span issues, I won't be taking any. Additionally, a lot of the reader's personality is derived from my own, which includes habits and speaking mannerisms so some of my readers might not align with your own personality type.

Who do you write about? Characters that I'm obsessing over/am into at the moment. I also pair them w/ a trans reader, but unless a fic's focused on a transgender issue, or if it's smut, then reader can either be a cis of trans female.

What is the point of this blog? To write my own fanfiction and also hone my writing skills. I've scoured Tumblr, Wattpad and AO3, and have yet to find the fics that I feel represent me. Readers are almost always cis females, gender neutral, or trans men (and even those are hard to come by). I wanted to get my own ideas out there while also hopefully satisfying other trans women who like the stuff that I like and face the same problems that I have.

Types of fics: fluff, NSFW, angst, you name it, I'll probably write it eventually. I'll also include songfics since I'm a huge music lover. Please be aware that angst stories will exclusively include happy endings for the reader (I'm tired of the baby mama, side-hoe content... we need to stand up at some point or another).

Topics covered: anything to do with the transfem experience, as well as general relationship stuff that isn't exclusive to genders with my own twist added to them. I will not cover topics that I do not feel I have knowledge on or personal experience of such as periods, pregnancies, or certain mental disorders. I flat out will not write sexual assault, dub-con, stepcest, incest, or anything gross like scat, vomit, or any other kind of bodily fluids. I will write certain forms of age gaps, but I won't write blatantly depraved power dynamics such as teacher/student. The most you’ll see is 25 yo. reader with a 35-38 yo. character.

Analysis - 4Kids And An Enhancement They Added To Yugi and Mai's Duel

When it comes to 4Kids, some of their decisions and choices have been mocked for several a right reason, such as forcibly trying to Americanize certain things and being too afraid to step on parent's toes by bowderlizing many things (though some is understandable even if I may not agree with it, given how moral guardians can act). But sometimes, 4Kids did try to polish the story so that things could flow even just a little bit better. And one such case would be Yugi and Mai's duel in the Duelist Kingdom finals.

In the field between the two, Mai is able to grasp a significant lead on Yugi/Atem due to him not playing at his best, but the reasons for that differ in the languages. In the original Japanese version, Atem basically allows Mai to gain such a lead because he doesn't take her seriously and is focusing on fighting Pegasus. Now, that doesn't sound very much in character for Atem, given how he takes every opponent he goes up against, even when the stakes don't involve high-risk magical shenanigans, seriously and doesn't underestimate them even for a millisecond. And keep in mind, Mai won at least 15 Star Chips (5 extra to pay Yugi back for his kindness) from duelists that Pegasus deemed worthy enough to grant an invite to. And for those of you who don't know (however few it may be), this alarmingly out of character moment also occurs in the manga, which is rather startling. So, what does 4Kids do?

4Kids manages to have the reason for Yugi and Atem's poor performance early in the Duel have to do with a distracted Yugi and fully tying up a mini-arc from when he had his rematch with Kaiba, and lost when Yugi chose to call off his attack with Celtic Guardian when Kaiba pulled out his ultimate Trap Card, Castle Battlement Ledge, with the Pharaoh all too willing to win even knowing that Kaiba would likely end up hurt. When Mai tried to give him Star Chips to replace the ones he lost to Kaiba, he's still too shaken to respond to her and Téa picks up the slack for him, winning them in a duel against Mai. Now, you think that would be the end of it? Not quite. What follows after that but before the Duelist Kingdom finals tears open that barely healed wound. The event in question being Pegasus defeating Kaiba and stealing his soul and the subsequent nightmare Yugi has of Pegasus' captives on monoliths and Yugi's grandpa telling him to use the Millennium Puzzle's power to counteract Pegasus' Millennium Eye.

Yugi's able to put on a brave face and have the Pharaoh duel, but it's clear that what happened isn't just something that would go away in one episode. Subsequently, Yugi wants to get the Duel over with before he thinks Atem gets any ideas about trying to use the Puzzle's power to hurt Mai (remember that in the anime, Atem managed to swap the places of Bakura and Yami Bakura's souls so that they didn't run the risk of sending their good friend to the graveyard). As a result he tries to keep Atem on a short leash and refuses to have him try and work with him, thinking that outmuscling Mai will get the duel finished with faster. Which ends up to their detriment. But it does get resolved, with Mai's help.

Mai still retains her abrasiveness in the 4Kids dub, but the dub also remembers her character development and her desiring a fair fight and win against Yugi. She can tell that he's still hurting, and in her own caring, but rough way, tries to help him get back on track by forcing him to confront the problem, pointing out how Joey taught her to confront her issues head on and to trust in her herself and her own abilities. This in turn finally allows Yugi and Atem to conclude their mini-arc, the former finally choosing to fully trust in the latter again. Atem even apologizes for going against Yugi's wishes of not wanting to win even if it meant hurting someone. As a result of their resolution, they are eventually able to triumph over Mai.

In a case of understated brilliance, 4Kids' dub doesn't add a plot hole but undoes a startlingly out of character moment from Atem done for forced drama. And ultimately, uses these changes to put an end to a mini-arc of Yugi's character development in a satisfactory way. And all without making anyone out of character.

Just recently I rewatched Yugi and Kaiba's rematch at Duelist Kingdom and boy, it was still as painful as it was when I was a kid. But ultimately, as much as Kaiba's stunt with the ledge still pisses me off, Téa giving him a dressing down for such a cheap tactic is still one of my favorite scenes. She minced no words in telling Seto how much of a spineless coward he was to do that, especially when you consider that he could have won the very turn he used Monster Reborn. But there's one detail I noticed, and that was in Kaiba's face.

When Téa went off on him, the expression he has isn't one of nonchalance, but one of rage. And it's also telling on his face that, even if he won't admit it, he KNOWS that Téa is 103% right. Unlike him, Yugi never compromised his principles, and given he has plenty of reason to hate Kaiba, given how he sent his grandfather Solomon to the hospital and ripped up the Blue-Eyes White Dragon he won from him. This one (of a surprisingly smaller than purported number of speeches she's claimed to give) speech from Téa completely craps on Kaiba-boy's ill-gotten victory, even before Pegasus utterly humiliates him in their duel.

Also, it reminded me why Téa is one of my favourite Yu-Gi-Oh! characters even today: she always sticks by her friends and won't tolerate anyone's crap being flung at them. Even if she has nothing to gain, she won't let anyone treat her friends, especially Yugi, badly.

My #1 post of 2022

I imagine that when Summer was pregnant with Ruby, both she and Taiyang asked Qrow if he would love to be an uncle to their budding little red rose. Even if he shared no familiar blood with Ruby, and Raven's desertion of the family could call Qrow's own connection to them debatable, Taiyang and Summer for all intents and purposes considered Qrow a brother-in-law, if not a brother in soul and family overall.

I can imagine that Qrow actually cried tears of happiness at Taiyang and Summer telling him that he's family, especially after everything Raven and everyone else in the Branwen Tribe put him through throughout his entire life. Especially with him reeling over Raven running off on Taiyang and their little yellow sun dragon.

Yugioh S5 Ep 36 Part 1: Yugi and Company Finds Egypt

So because we don’t have card duels anymore, which makes these episodes Very Long to cap, and because I’ve been just real busy lately, I’m gonna do a little bit of an experiment. One that will hopefully streamline the process, and make these a bit easier of a read for y’all that maybe didn’t realize this blog is going to be the length of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time (yes I will die (or tumblr will die) in the process of making it because they will never stop making Yugioh, and I have accepted this).

So the experiment is that I will be splitting these so it’s about 15 caps an update, which means this episode is 3 updates. This blog is mostly for me to blow off some stress energy from things outside of my control, but after all these years writing blogs and webcomics and etc, I realized.......I gotta do something about the weird ass length of updates here. If it were anything else, I would have cut it down and streamlined the process years ago, so lets just try it out and see what happens. (and am I suddenly inspired to do this right now because part 3 currently is a hot mess in my drafts folder? Yes.)

So, starting off, Mahad just hella died, and Mana isn’t taking it very well because she has not finished her Jedi training.

Also everyone else is here now, a little bit too late for the party, but at least they made it for the funeral.

And as Mana was going to dump on Yami, Isis got hella distracted and reminded everyone that Mahad is like super dead. Like beyond dead to a point where he exists as a symbol for cards. Crazy how dead Mahad is right now.

While this is happening, Yugi and friends have finally found the way “out.”

Don’t get me wrong, I do like this from an artistic standpoint, feels pretty unique to have this slice cut out of a pyramid in the sky attached to an Escher Painting. If anything, Yugioh is pretty good at showing scale, and I think that is something that anime, in general is good at doing. Very cinematic for a TV show.

Honestly, these shots make me wish that there was some sort of Nolan-esque adaptation because these have such space-bending sci fi vibes. But because of budget we didn’t quite get to Inception territory. Which is fine, I mean this was done in acrylic.

But then Shadi is like “well I clearly didn’t get the facebook invite to Yami’s party so I’ll just go home and scroll through twitter because I’m just not very social, byeee.”

Also Shadi had to leave beause it’s plot convenient but we’ll get to that in a bit because Yugi had to embrace the ledge.

It was intense how quickly Yugi vaulted off this ledge. So many ledges over 5 seasons, and he just wanted to have a taste. Finally.

Anyway, after Yami probably did a little funeral before shoving Mahad into his card obelisk, all of his cult decided to have a little bit of a chat about how the ultimate war with one single dude named Bakura is going.

Like just keep in mind that most of the city is probably going on life as normal because Bakura is just one guy. Like yeah he set part of the city on fire yesterday, but as we find out later in this episode, cities in this part of Egypt are just always on fire.

It has a very Star Wars vibe where the people in charge are having this big rebellion, and there are these big movies about it, but then you watch the side content like the Mandalorian, and no one else in solar system freakin cared that there was a change of power, it made virtually no difference to them whatsoever.

Seto reallllly wants to arrest everyone in the city, and Aknadin was like “ehhhhh” because he knows Seto only wants to do this to fill his obelisk with as many tablets as humanly possible. But then Grandpa was like “YEAHHHH” because Shimon secretly loves the military state.

If I were a band person I’d tell you what instrument every single person in Yugioh would play based on their stereotypes but I was never in it. I guess Bakura would play the...flute? I dunno. I don’t know anything about band, I play piano. What I assume is true in any school with a band in it, is that the only way to get into the one piano spot in the band, is to go up against the literal valedictorian (and then hope she gets sick or accidentally cuts off her thumb something). And listen, I may be a pianist, but I’m not that much of the pianist stereotype.

But cuz Yami doesn’t freaking know how people work because he’s a dead dude that’s been locked in a prism for an eternity, he’s like “sure lets lock everyone in the city, I love that stuff.” It did not occur to Yami that Seto is filling a vault with people’s yummy demon souls, and then in the English dub, locking those people in jail even after they were exorcised.

Yami just has a lot going on with losing Mahad after he was his friend for all of like 15 hours so he’s just not really paying attention. Especially not paying attention to the situation going down in the market district.

Falling directly from the sky, these guys realized that they have made a Scene.

In case you were wondering, no they did not draw boobs all over this season although that would have been the style of Egypt at this time period. Instead we get a basic outfit I can only describe as “bible video fashion” when it comes to the normal ass non-important townspeople of Egypt.

And fun fact I just found out from reading a Wikipedia article (so it might not be true) Ancient Egyptian kids didn’t wear any clothes at all until they were 6.

Can you imagine being naked for 6 entire years? That there was a life before modern society and needing to go to school and get an office job, you could just be completely ass naked for 6 entire years. Like maybe Mom or Dad dunk you in the Nile occasionally to wash you off, and then off you go, just a little naked bastard, right down the street, not a care in the freaking world, not even worrying about splinters because there’s not even planks of wood that exist yet. Damn.

Anyway, Joey tried to communicate with them anyway, in front of a bunch of oranges in the foreground to remind us of the tits that will never be in this shot but would have been if they were actually in ancient Egypt.

I once asked “Do these kids even think Roland is cool?" And it turns out that Joey does. Joey LOVES the nickname Roland gave him. Gonna get someone at the mall to write it on a grain of rice that he can wear on a necklace.

Which, I just realized, may not be a universal thing, and just a weird ass thing we do in California.

Anyway my Mom never let me buy one when I was 11 and I really wanted one shaped like a cool dolphin and I have never forgotten it. And sure, I could just get a rice and write my name on it and shove it into a 20 cent pendant from Micheals crafts but it’s not the same.

In a way, rice necklace is the modern cartouche.

...

...anyway, speaking of bad necklaces, our bff haunted prism that has been with us for so many season’s took a sabbatical.

This is when it finally dawns on Yugi that clearly, they were never supposed to come here and they just put themselves at ground zero with no way to interact with it.

Youknow, if they had dragged Ryou Bakura here, would he have been able to take over Bakura and be like “well that’s enough of that” then solve this entire season? We’ll never know, since I think he’s still passed out on the stairs. Or, Ryou has walked down there, seen all of his school friends dead and been like “Oi that was probably me...well, I’ll be leaving then...”

And that is why, plotwise, they couldn’t bring Shadi. Otherwise, pretty sure Shada would have just become Shadi and then...well it’s still Shadi so he probably wouldn’t have done a damn thing.

In trying to decide which of my stories to put up on my Tumblr blog first, this is the one that came to mind. It’s an older one, but it’s one of my favourite things I’ve ever written. I just love Black Bulls family fluff & shenanigans! Thank you for reading!!

Description: Random items are appearing and disappearing through spatial portals throughout the Black Bulls' hideout causing more chaos among the squad than usual. Finral swears his innocence despite an overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary and is bewildered by his own collection of treasures that keep inexplicably turning up on his desk. However, when the squad teams up to set a trap to catch the mysterious mischief-maker, they get much more than they bargained for. Perhaps there are some mysteries that are better left unsolved...

Story Under the Cut:

It started with a rock—a mishappen but particularly shiny stone that appeared almost randomly on the desk where Finral wrote his mission reports. He hadn’t thought much about it at the time assuming one of his squad mates had put it there, either randomly or for some reason he didn’t understand. But then there was the feather, several acorns, a thimble, some leaves, a handful of buttons, and a few pieces of candy—all of which inexplicably appeared on the same corner of the desk over the course of a week. Finral began to suspect that these random items were being left there intentionally, but he wasn’t entirely sure by whom until a small bouquet of flowers appeared one afternoon and he decided to take a wild guess.

“Um…Vanessa?” Finral asked as he walked up to her with the lilacs that had been waiting for him on the desk.

Vanessa tilted her head at the purple blossoms. “It’s been awhile since you’ve given me flowers,” she laughed. “I don’t even recognize these ones.”

“I wasn’t…” Finral stumbled in confusion. “Didn’t you leave these for me?”

Vanessa shook her head. “No.”

“On the desk upstairs—like you left the rock and the feather and buttons and candy…” his voice trailed as he tried to remember all the random items that had been appearing recently. Vanessa’s brow furrowed.

“I didn’t leave anything for you, but I was thinking about it ever since you gave me those limes.” Her face brightened. “They’re so fresh. They’ll be great for cocktails later!”

“Limes?” interrupted Finral—his brow furrowing. “I didn’t give you any limes.”

Vanessa chuckled. “If you want your presents to be anonymous you probably shouldn’t portal them into my room while I’m sitting right there.” She frowned. “Speaking of, how did you even get past my traps to get in, in the first place?”

“Wha…what?” Finral choked, his cheeks growing warm. If he was being perfectly honest, he had considered and theorized about how someone could or would get past those traps—his face flushed at the thought—but he had never actually tried it and was fairly certain he would fail if he did.

“Come on, Finral,” said Vanessa tilting her head. “I know you can’t make portals to places you haven’t been before.”

“But I…I haven’t…I didn’t...I’ve never even been to the girls’ side of the hideout,” he stammered. “There’s no way I could’ve made a portal into your room.”

Vanessa’s eyes narrowed as they met his. He swallowed hard. “I saw it,” she said. “You can’t lie to me.”

“Vanessa, I swear…I didn’t…” he choked. “Are you sure you saw…?”

“Yes,” she cut him off with a huff. “There was this small, shiny spatial portal, two limes fell through it, and then it disappeared.”

“You gave Vanessa limes?” huffed Noelle, stomping into the hideout’s common room. Finral tilted his head. She was far more upset about this than he would have expected but maybe it was more at the implication that he could somehow make portals into the girls’ side of the hideout.

He held up both of his hands. “I didn’t…” he began to protest, but Noelle cut him off irritably.

“You give Vanessa limes, but you gave me a disgusting piece of candy that got stuck in my hair.” Noelle seethed and motioned to the brightly colored taffy that was currently stuck in one of her pigtails. Finral’s mouth flew open in shock and confusion. Noelle scrunched up her face furiously. “It won’t come out. Everything I’ve tried has just made it worse.”

“Finral!” Vanessa scolded, and she walked over to inspect the sticky substance in Noelle’s hair as Finral began to ramble.

“I don’t…I don’t even have any taffy, and even if I did I wouldn’t just…” he stopped abruptly. “Why do you think I’m responsible for…?”

“Because I saw your portal!” Noelle insisted irritably. “This gross, sticky gunk just flew out of it right into my hair.”

“What?” Finral shook his head. “But that doesn’t make any…”

“That’s nothing—you should see what he did to Magna!” interjected Luck. Laughing, he bounded through the doorway followed by a drenched and irate flame mage.

“What the heck, man?” Magna snapped as he pushed his sopping, deflated hair out of his face.

Luck clearly found this hilarious as he erupted into laughter. “He’s soaking wet!”

“It’s not funny.” Magna glared at him, then at Finral. “What is wrong with you? Asta, Luck, and I were just out training when suddenly you decide to open a portal and pour milk all over me.”

“It was great! Do it again!” Luck beamed at Finral with a giant grin, but the rest of their companions were clearly incensed with him. Finral rubbed his hand across his forehead. He was so confused—his head was starting to spin.

“But I didn’t…I don’t understand…I’m sorry that all this happened, but I…” He stopped as he was interrupted by Gordon shoving two hands full of buttons into his face and mumbling something Finral couldn’t understand. “I don’t…”

“Hey Finral,” exclaimed Asta with a wave and smile. Finral sighed in relief, at least there was one person who wasn’t mad at him. “Thanks for the cool rock!” he added excited, holding up a jagged grey stone. What?

“Yeah and you hit Asta on the head with that rock!” added the already irritated Magna.

“Why didn’t you throw anything at me?” pouted Luck.

Before Finral could even begin to formulate a response, Charmy rushed in pointing an accusatory finger at him as fury seemingly billowed off of her tiny body in waves.

“There you are, cupcake stealer!”

Finral held up his hands. “Charmy, I promise I didn’t…” he tried to explain helplessly, but Charmy scowled.

“I was making those cupcakes for dessert after dinner, and I sat them down on the counter for just a second before they disappeared through a spatial portal and these were left in their place.” She forcefully shoved a handful of acorns at him. “You think acorns make up for running off with those yummy, delicious treats—? What do you have to say for yourself?”

Finral opened his mouth but could barely choke out any sounds let alone any words. Had he hit his head earlier? Were they all playing some kind of joke on him? None of this made any sense at all—he felt like he was in some sort of alternate reality.

“And even worse you knocked over my sculpture of Marie,” interjected Gauche. Finral didn’t even know when he had gotten there.

“Listen, everybody, I don’t know what’s going on, but I promise I haven’t been sending any of this…”—he waved his hands around, trying to think of the proper word—“stuff through any portals.”

“Finral!” bellowed the loud, booming voice of an irate Captain Yami. It reverberated through the room from wherever he was in the hideout—probably the bathroom, Finral guessed. “You better bring that last roll of toilet paper back in here right now or I swear…”

Finral threw up his hands. “I didn’t take it! I’ve been right here the whole time!” he cried—desperately defending his innocence. “All of this stuff—I didn’t do it. You guys have to believe me!”

“If you didn’t do it, who did? It’s not like there are any other spatial mages who can open portals in our hideout,” argued Noelle.

“I don’t know, but there has to be some other explanation. I’ve been finding weird things recently, too.” He hadn’t actually seen any portals, but he felt he didn’t need to add that part.

“Yeah, we can’t just accuse Finral without any proof like this,” interjected Asta, and Finral’s eyes grew a bit misty as he smiled gratefully at him. What a kind boy—he was so glad Captain Yami had brought him onto their squad as their new rookie.

“We should set a trap!” suggested Luck.

Charmy grinned in agreement. “Yes, let’s catch that nom napper in the act!”

“I’ll go get some wine for the stakeout,” Vanessa chuckled as she headed out of the hideout to visit the market followed by Gordon who was generally responsible for the squad’s money.

“Someone had better bring that toilet paper, damn it!” boomed Captain Yami’s voice over the excited planning and chattering of the squad. Finral sighed and portal-ed away quickly to attend to the Captain’s “emergency” leaving his squad behind to plan their trap for that mysterious spatial magic mischief-maker.

When Finral returned to the hideout’s common room with Captain Yami, he found his squad mates—besides Vanessa and Gordon who were still at the market buying wine and Gauche who had probably lost interest since this plan had nothing to do with Marie—hiding rather obviously behind furniture, watching a conspicuous plate of cupcakes on the table. Finral rolled his eyes. He didn’t know what he had been expecting, but whoever was causing all this trouble would have to be completely stupid to fall for such a basic, obvious…

Suddenly, a small portal appeared in front of the table, and a hand reached out to take one of the cupcakes. Finral rolled his eyes again. He supposed he had spoken—or rather thought—too soon.

Luck bolted out from behind the couch and grabbed the hand by the wrist. “Gotcha!” he cried triumphantly as the rest of squad jumped up from their hiding places.

“I told you guys it wasn’t me,” huffed Finral, making sure they all saw that as he was clearly standing in the room with them, there was no way he was on the other side of that portal.

Captain Yami walked over to Luck and helped him pull the hand—and the perpetrator—through the portal. “Alright, ya little hooligan, how the hell did you—?” He stopped, and Noelle and Charmy gasped almost in unison as they all gazed upon the face of the troublemaker. He couldn’t have been older than seven or eight and stared back at them with wide, confused eyes. With a full head of messy, thick hair that clearly wouldn’t lay flat and a familiar bright smile that spread across his small, rosy cheeks—Finral nearly choked—the kid looked just like…

“Why is Finral so tiny?” asked Asta tilting his head in confusion.

“That’s not, Finral, knucklehead,” Captain Yami grunted.

“How do you know?” questioned Magna, and the Captain huffed narrowing his eyes at him.

“Look at him—he’s a pipsqueak, and his eyes are a different color, dum…”—the Captain paused, meeting the eyes of the kid in question and seemingly censoring himself—“moron.”

The kid’s smile brightened. “Oh hi, Uncle Yami!” he said as he stared up at the Captain in enthusiastic recognition.

The Captain raised an eyebrow at him. “And who exactly are you, kid?”

The boy giggled with a somewhat unnervingly familiar laugh, “You know who I am, silly?”

The Captain’s eyes narrowed, but the boy seemed either not to notice or not to care. “What’s your name?”

“Kalon,” he replied with a smile, but his eyes widened as he looked around the room. “Oh wow! Uncle Luck and Uncle Magna are here, too. And Uncle Asta and Aunt Noelle” —his face lit up—“Aunt Noelle you look different but really pretty!”

“Ah…ah…uh…” Noelle sputtered as she looked from Kalon to Finral who was stunned speechless. Finral could only blink at her. He felt like he had been hit on the back of the head and could scarcely put a coherent thought together.

“Hey Kalon, how’s it goin’?” asked Asta with a smile. The rest of squad gaped at him.

“You know this kid?” questioned the Captain, but Asta shrugged.

“No, but he said I was his uncle…”

“Wait, are we really his uncles?” asked Luck. “If I’m his uncle, that means we can fight, right?”

“I’m not allowed to fight you until I get my grimoire, Uncle Luck,” Kalon replied with a chuckle. “Dad said.”

“Who exactly is your dad, kid?” asked Captain Yami.

Charmy took a deep breath and began, “You don’t actually think—”

“Aunt Charmy!” Kalon exclaimed with wide, excited eyes. “Thanks for the cupcakes!”

Charmy’s mouth twitched just barely in the corners, but she frowned. “You stole those. They were for dinner.”

“And you poured milk on me,” Magna huffed as he began to count on his fingers—“stole toilet paper, hit Asta with a rock, and stuck candy in Noelle’s hair”

Kalon’s face fell. “I’m sorry. I’m still learning how to work my magic. I didn’t know where the portals were going.”

“So you just sent random things through to who knows where?” questioned Noelle with a pointed glare.

Kalon shrugged. “I sent other things too—good things, like my favorite rock, a cool feather I found, some limes…Ooh! And some pretty flowers too. I could sense my dad’s mana so I thought it was okay…”

Yami narrowed his eyes at the kid. “Your dad…is that Finral?”

Finral nearly choked as Yami motioned to him, and Noelle groaned in disgust.

“You…you can’t just…ask…” Finral stammered. He was dreaming right? This was a dream—it had to be.

Kalon tilted his head and glanced over at Finral in confusion. “Dad? Is that you…?” His little brow furrowed like he was thinking, another look that was all too familiar. This was starting to get very—Finral wasn’t sure there was a word for it so he decided on—weird.

“Oh my…” Noelle exclaimed seemingly too horrified to even finish her thought. She shook her head muttering, “Gross…”

“I think it’s great!” exclaimed Asta. “I love kids! Congratulations, Finral.”

“But…but uh…um…” he choked—his mouth growing suddenly dry and the words getting caught in the back of his throat. The whole room felt like it was spinning, and his head was throbbing.

“I don’t want to live in a world where Finral has…”—Noelle’s face contorted into a grimace, and she wrinkled her nose in appalled disgust—“reproduced…”

Finral was so shocked by the whole situation that he couldn’t find the words to protest—he couldn’t even find it in him to glare at Noelle. All he could do was blink at her dumbstruck until the Captain glowered at him, gritting his teeth.

“Finral, what’s the one rule we have on this squad?”

“The…the ‘one rule’…?” he stammered in reply but stopped abruptly at Yami’s icy, admonishing glare. He swallowed hard and answered quietly, “‘No babies on the squad,’ Sir.”

Finral fidgeted uncomfortably as Yami glanced at Kalon and narrowed his eyes. “And what am I looking at right now?”

“I…I...I have no idea…” Finral spluttered. “But there’s no way… I mean just do the math, Sir…there’s no way I could have a kid this old…”

“Hey kid, is Finral here your dad?” asked Yami bluntly as Finral let out an almost horrified choke.

Kalon frowned. “Those jokes are mean. Mom says…”

“Mom?” gasped several horrified voices—Finral’s not being one of them as his face was blushing beet red at the idea and he struggled to find his words.

“What kind of woman…?” began Noelle before she grimaced and shut her mouth as Kalon’s entire face seemed to light up.

“Mom is the best! She’s my favorite person besides Dad,” he paused glancing at Finral inquisitively. “What are you doing here, Dad? How can you be in two places at once?”

“Two…places at…once?” choked Finral—his brow furrowing. Kalon’s brow furrowed in much the same way before he partially ducked his head through his portal.

“Dad, how can you be in two places at once?” he called to the other side. After a pause he said, “No really, you’re on the other side of this portal too.” Pause. “It’s to Uncle Henry’s house.”

“Who is Henry?” questioned Magna as a strange look passed over Captain Yami’s face.

“Does he want to steal our hideout? I’ll fight him for it!” exclaimed Luck puffing out his chest a little.

“Shut up, knuckleheads,” grunted the Captain rolling his eyes.

Finral shook his head and tried to focus the best he could on the one-sided conversation Kalon seemed to be having—though he couldn’t seem to focus on much of anything. His brain was fried—his head was completely empty.

Kalon smiled brightly at him before he said to the other side of the portal, “It’s different—kinda floofy and it sticks up on the sides but not as much. It’s all in your face too...” He paused and tilted his head at Finral before he turned to the other side of the portal. “No, there isn’t any green in it.”

Finral’s eyes narrowed, and he just barely shook his head in confusion. What in the world was this kid talking about?

Kalon looked around the room before he said, “Uncle Yami, Uncle Magna, Uncle Luck, Aunt Charmy, Aunt Noelle, Uncle Asta, and…” He paused and smiled. “Oh hi, Aunt Secre! I didn’t see you before.” The Black Bulls looked around at each other in bewilderment.

“Who is that?” questioned Noelle.

Yami shrugged. “Even I don’t know that one.”

“Well maybe she’s around here somewhere,” said Asta, and he began looking almost frantically for this mysterious person while Nero flew off of his head and settled in on a windowsill instead, probably preferring a perch that wasn’t moving around so much.

“Do you want to play hide and seek?” asked Kalon to seemingly no one—or perhaps this mysterious ‘Aunt Secre’ whoever that was—before he turned his attention back to the other side of his portal. “Oh…” he looked around. “No, she isn’t. Uncle Gordon isn’t either and neither is Uncle Gauche. And…” Kalon frowned. “Aw man…Uncle Zora isn’t here either.”

“Now, he’s just making people up,” interrupted Magna with a shake of his head.

“Aunt Grey is missing too, but there’s somebody…I don’t know who they are…” Kalon’s eyes narrowed at Grey who he had just said was missing. Finral blinked rapidly. He couldn’t even begin to wonder what was going on.

“Oh yeah, he has both arms and they look okay to me!” Kalon said seemingly at random.

“Whose arms? Who is he talking about?” asked Charmy who was practically bouncing up and down in energetic confusion.

“You got a lotta explaining to do, kid,” Captain Yami interrupted him, giving his arm a gentle tug.

Kalon looked up into his face and smiled. “Have you been to the beach recently?”

Captain Yami blinked. He clearly had no idea how to respond to that.

“Clearly this kid inherited Finral’s scatterbrain,” huffed Noelle with a sigh.

“We went to the beach once. It was really fun. We got to build a sand castle and…” Kalon was jerked backwards as if whoever was on the other side of this portal was pulling his other arm.

“That sounds awesome,” interjected Asta enthusiastically. “I’ve always wanted to go to the beach.”

“They haven’t been yet…” said Kalon turning his head. There was a long pause, and Kalon nodded solemnly. “Oh…okay…” He turned back to the bewildered Black Bulls. “My dad says I’m not allowed to talk to you anymore because I'm a time traveler and it might change the future,” he said with a cheerful nonchalance that did not fit at all with what he had said.

“What the hell?” exclaimed Captain Yami seemingly too shocked to remember to censor himself in front of the kid.

Kalon shrugged. “Dad said he thought this might happen, but he wasn’t sure. He says my portals can travel back in time instead of just to other places…” He paused and smiled at Finral who could only gape at him. His ‘supposedly’ future son could ‘supposedly’ time travel now? Could today get any crazier?

“I guess that means you’re my young dad then!” added Kalon with a smile that faded a little when he added, “Dad says I can’t play with you anymore because it might change things…but someday when I can use my magic better, I’m going to come back so we can all play together!” His face brightened. “You all seem like lots of fun when you’re young!”

“Are we not fun when we’re older?” gasped Luck in horror. “Did we all get…”—his volume dropped as if he didn’t want to say it aloud—“boring?”

“I’m not supposed to tell you,” said Kalon with a sympathetic smile. “I have to go now. Sorry for causing all that trouble…I’ll try to be more careful.” He looked down at the cupcake in his hand.

“Can I take this with me, Aunt Charmy?”

“Sure,” she shrugged a bit unsurely, but she smiled.

Kalon nodded and waved goodbye saying, “See you later! Have fun at the beach—especially you, Young Dad!”

“Wait!” exclaimed Finral—his body somehow moving on its own and gently grabbing onto Kalon’s arm before he disappeared through the portal. “Who is your mother?” he choked out almost desperately. Finral almost sighed with relief knowing he could’ve never forgiven himself if he had let his ‘supposedly’ future son disappear without asking. He shook his head at the thought. Honestly, this day…

Kalon laughed. “Dad said you would ask that, Young Dad.” He sighed. “But he says if I tell you, it might change the future and that would be bad because we’re all really happy.” His smile brightened, and Finral’s face softened, his mouth just barely twitching into a slight smile.

“I’m happy…?” he asked, almost in a whisper. “In the future…?”

“Very happy,” said Kalon with an affectionate smile and wide, loving eyes that overwhelmed Finral with a wave of emotion he couldn’t decipher or understand. He wiped his eyes as he sniffled, and Kalon sat down his cupcake on the table and patted Finral’s head gently with his hand. “You’re the best! That’s why I left you all those presents.”

Finral gasped, blinking his misty eyes. So all of those random little things…they were presents for him after all. He sniffled again but cleared his throat.

“Thank you for the gifts,” he managed with a slight smile. “Especially the flowers.” He held up the bouquet he had been gripping in his sweaty fist, and Kalon smiled brightly.

“I’m glad you liked them, and I’m glad I got to meet you when you were young!” he replied with cheery laugh. “And all of you too!” he added to the room at large. “Though I still don’t know who that is…” His brow furrowed towards Grey who exhaled.

“That’s Grey,” said Asta.

“Really? Wow! You look way different in the future,” laughed Kalon as he turned to disappear through the portal. “I hope I didn’t mess it up…” he added with a strikingly familiar, breathy laugh as he rubbed his hand across the back of his neck. Captain Yami shook his head in disbelief, but Finral could only gape at him as he turned around one last time and said with a wink, “Dad says to hang in there, Young Dad!”

Finral smiled—he supposed—at his future, which wasn’t looking all that bad, after all, and he even managed to wave goodbye as Kalon disappeared through the portal. The Black Bulls watched the portal flicker and vanish with their jaws open in dumbfounded shock and confusion—their common room had never been so quiet with so many of them in there before.

As soon as all traces of Kalon’s portal had completely evaporated, Finral let out the breath he had been holding and finally choked out the words he had so desperately been wanting to say, “What the actual hell?”

Epilogue:

When Vanessa and Gordon returned from the market, they found their entire squad essentially stunned speechless.

“What happened?” asked Vanessa in confusion.

“Don’t wanna talk about it…” Magna mumbled, shaking his head before stalking off.

“Okay…?” Vanessa tilted her head. “Did you figure out who was causing all that trouble with those portals?”

“Yeah,” answered Luck scrunching up his face. “He says I’m going to be boring! I’m not going to be boring! Magna fight me so I can prove I’m not boring!” he added running off after Magna.

Vanessa’s eyes narrowed. “Who says? Luck? Wait! Who was it?”

“You know,” said Charmy shoving a whole cupcake in her mouth. “There are some things that you’re better off not knowing.”

“I wish I didn’t know…” Noelle huffed with an almost disgusted scowl.

“But then we would have never learned about time travel magic, and it’s so cool. It’s like the wizard king’s magic!” exclaimed Asta, and Finral who had been deep in thought in the corner practically jumped up.

“That’s it! I marry the Wizard King’s sister in the future!” he gasped excitedly. “Yeah, his super kind, super beautiful, and super amazing sister—that makes sense!”

“He doesn’t have a sister, dumbass,” Captain Yami huffed before he turned to Vanessa. “Oh, thank goodness. Please tell me you brought wine…”

“Yeah…I did…” her voice trailed as she held out the box of wine bottles to Captain Yami. He took one and picked up one of the corkscrews they had lying around. Once he had opened it, he drank straight from the bottle. Vanessa blinked at him—her jaw falling slightly slack. “Can someone tell me what’s going on?”

“I can,” grunted the Captain. “But you’re probably going to want to open another bottle of wine first…”

Hnnn I had the biggest crush on all forms of Bakura as a kid. I’m 99% sure Bakura was the first character I read/wrote poly for since I couldn’t pick between them whoops

This came out a little scatterbrained and all over the place rather than following a main thought, im sorry about that!

-Yami Bakura would be an...interesting yandere for sure

-Sadistic to the max, very possessive. Honestly he’ll see his darling as more of a game, a treasure to be stolen and won than a partner or significant other. Though, with enough work you can worm your way into his heart and he’ll be softer (as soft as a being of darkness can be anyway, he probably thinks a human heart in a box is a romantic gift)

-His vessel Ryou would be a soft, sweet yandere, something that disgusts him. His past self a possessive protective yandere, something that still irritates him but less so. He can appreciate how his love for hording and hiding away his treasure didn’t leave him

-Yami Bakura is a mix of the dark sadistic tendencies of Zorc, and the possessive protective tendencies of his past life. Part of him doesn’t give a shit about you, sees you as a toy, something for his entertainment and nothing more, theres no attachment there. The other part of him is a little too attached to you. He sees you as his treasure to steal and hide away, he wont share it with anyone! He wont even let them see it.

-I honestly see him probably falling for/getting attached to one of his hosts friends. You’d have to be a frequent in Ryou’s life to even get even a slightest hint of his attention, it’s ridiculously hard to pull his attention from his plot to kill the pharaoh and obtain the millennium items.

-But once you catch his interest there is no escape

-Unlike Ryou who likes to hide in the ring, avoiding seeing what his spirit does, he is always watching everything around his little host, even if he doesn’t know it. He’ll study you, enraptured. His calculating personality mixed with that spiral of obsession will be a dangerous cocktail for you, one that you won’t be able to escape. Not that you’ll even know you have something you need to escape from, no, he moves too fast.

-You’ll be kidnapped nearly immediately regardless of which side of him feels stronger towards you. He isn’t someone who likes to share, and he can’t have anyone catching on to his...interest in you and getting in the way.

-He’ll lock you up probably in a cold dark warehouse somewhere, hidden away where no one else could ever hope to find you. Even Ryou won’t know how to get there. He’ll make sure that his host never even knows about him kidnapping you, or if he does find out it’s beaten into him what will happen if he ever speaks a word of you to someone else, or if he tries to help you.

-Let’s get this straight, even though he may have a soft spot for you, he won’t be making things easy for you. The warehouse is, cold, wet, dark. He won’t make any attempts to make you more comfortable, you’ll probably be left shivering in whatever he kidnapped you in (Probably your pjs, he’d sneak in in the dead of night and snatch you up)

-He can never hold himself back from visiting you no matter how much he insists he’ll just forget about you there and leave you to rot. He’ll see you nearly everyday, bringing you food and games

-He’ll force you to play game after game with him, tricking you over and over again. You’ll never win. He makes sure of it.

-You can’t say no to playing, he’ll hold necessities over you like rewards. Oh? You want to eat? Better play a round of duel monsters with him~ Though you’ll probably lose more than you’ve gained in the end...hope that food was worth it.

-Honestly how he responds to you will heavily rely on how you respond to him. He’s unpredictable, his mood towards you changing so rapidly that it’ll be impossible to learn how to use it to your advantage.

-If you are louder, aggressive and violent with him he’ll respond in kind. His punishments, his ‘rewards’ for winning games will be more cruel and sadistic, he’ll get some kind of twisted glee from breaking you down, making you cry, watching as you lose hope. He’ll never fully break you, of course. At least not yet~

-A softer, more level headed darling will earn more favor from him as long as you keep him entertained. His punishments are more likely to be teasing, cruel taunts rather than ruthless torments. He’ll probably bring you nicer things, play with you a little more. Hell, he might even be nice/soft towards you every once and awhile.

-”Come now, darling~ Don’t tell me you’ve given up already? The game hasn’t even truly started yet!”

-It’s a strange thing, you find yourself getting attached to him, warmth spreading in your chest when his lips quirk up into a smirk when you start doing better at his little games, making him actually try instead of dragging you around the game, a pawn in his little game

-You’ll never win, but sometimes you get close, and you can’t help but feed off the thrill he feels when the game gets risky, both of your heartrates going up as you dance around the board. Both your strategies have adapted to know each other well, it’s almost always left to who can get the higher ground faster. You always find yourself just a turn or two too late.

-The more you interest him, the nicer he’ll be. Suddenly the gruel that he use to drop to the floor infront of you, or make you earn by losing a game to him becomes treats. Tasty meals that were your favorites, or pastries and desserts that he shoves into your lap before stomping off. You’ll have to take this in stride, simply smiling and thanking him. If you question or poke at him about it he’s sure to snap and you’ll go back to the tasteless gruel

-Still, he’ll start showing up more often and just...hovering around. Sorting through his deck, carving his little figures...just existing in your space. If you watch closely you’ll see his gaze dragging over to you frequently, immediately looking away if he realizes you’ve noticed the starting. Strange...being so timid was out of character for him

-It will be a gradual thing, so slow you don’t even realize things have changed until you find yourself settled across his lap, playing with your hair as he stares down at your face with an unreadable expression. This...tenderness, quiet should unnerve you, it wasn’t like him. He was aggressive, loud, brash...violent. You shouldn’t be trusting him like this. Yet you still found yourself melting into his touch. Somehow, you knew he wouldn’t hurt you.

-That moment changes everything, as long as you play your cards right, behave and don’t set him off he’ll start bringing you things. You don’t ask where they come from, you ignore the bloodstains that sometimes comes on any furniture he brings you. You kiss his cheek and thank him. He smirks at you, grabbing your waist and tells you he thinks he deserves more than that after dragging that shit all the way out here.

-Any thoughts of using this new found power over him are gone, along with thoughts of asking him to let you go, or even trying to escape during the brief times where he leaves you alone for longer than a few hours. You are...content. As you can be. Maybe its Stockholm syndrome sinking in, the pure terror of seeing what he did to others that betrayed him, or the punishments that were beaten into your very core. It didn’t matter anyways, you were never going to escape

Basics

This is an indie RP blog of Yami Marik (Mariku as I call mine ) from Yugioh: Duel Monsters.

This blog is semi-selective and semi-private. I will not always write with non-mutuals, but I am open to if I enjoy your muse/muses.

I don't mind personal blogs following though I probably won't follow back unless I either know you, you tell me you have a sideblog, or I enjoy the content.

This blog is multiverse, multiship. Each interaction will go into its own world/verse/etc. You may mention my muses in other threads, blogs, but I won't tolerate drama.

I am willing to interact with canon/OC's/other fandoms.

If your character is an OC/FC related to/knows of my canon muse, they will not know them upon first interaction. I am a bit iffy about accepting pre-established relationships with these characters.

This blog's muse doesn't really have a setting/world of its own as I enjoy a variety of AU's, verses.

Threads

I am open to a lot of topics/genres. NSFW is possible and loved with the write scenario, setting, chemistry. Sexual content is accepted, but I am selective with smut itself and prefer to know the mun at least a bit as I am demisexual/graysexual.

On that point, I do not just write romance and nsfw. I love darker types of plots, but I typically gauge how to interact with a muse and once I know someone is fine with darker variations of Mariku as a mun, then those are loved and welcomed.

I tend to match my partner's length. You do not need to match mine, just don't leave me with a one-liner when I reply with like 2-3+ paragraphs.

Plots, memes, whichever is fine. I do however suck at plotting at first, but will brainstorm and throw ideas out.

Always feel free to ask for a starter or use the inbox itself for starters and interactions.

Replies

Do not hassle me for replies. You can remind me to get to one if its been a week+. I have limited energy at times, and being hassled just makes coming to any blog unappealing.

If you continue to hassle me over a reply (a nudge is fine) I will put it at the bottom of my to do list, drop it or block you.

I can be selective with my replies. I am not ignoring you if you think I'm not getting to your reply.

I actually want to write with muns who are interested in writing with me. Those I have known longer and have friendships with will probably get preference, otherwise I will draft things immediately be they asks, threads, and work from oldest or what I have enough mental energy/muse for.

I will tend to queue replies as it's easier. Sometimes I will reply quickly.

If I don't reply to something soon, don't spam me with messages. I am not always quick to respond and sometimes get easily distracted, forget, and it can stress me out.

Please be patient with me, I do not always have time to get to everything and life is a thing.
