John is such a goofball in the series.

I'd also think he'd have the most quadrant knowledge of all the humans in Homestuck.

Mostly because Karkat tends to lecture him about it.

I could also see John trying things out with a Troll! Darling.

He knows about the quadrants of your race/species.

Yet he feels the safest option would be the Matesprit category because it's the closest to human romantic attraction.

However, most trolls find the concept of humans in a quadrant weird.

Some are fine with it, but it's just so new to you.

Even if you like John as a human you're still unsure of having him in a quadrant.

John's obsession would be quick to develop but takes time to show.

As in... John most likely knows how to hide his feelings as to not scare you off.

At first, John would just treat you as a friend.

He's friendly in your online chats and just loves to talk about his interests with you.

Sometimes you even find yourself laughing at his bad jokes.

He's a comforting and friendly human to be around.

He even attempt to listen to you speak about your interests.

Although you both experience some serious culture shock.

When he finally meets you in person on The Meteor, that's most likely when romantic feelings start.

He's accepting of you no matter the blood color and just loves to be around you.

For the longest time he's patient and tries to guess how you feel about him.

He doesn't want to ruin anything.

John is rather patient and for the most part he's grounded.

However he's also stubborn and can have his delusional moments.

John would take his time to try and let feelings develop.

He'll wait awhile before mentioning it to you.

He's no doubt asked Karkat for relationship advice.

The poor troll is always called for that.

Karkat doesn't understand why John won't get with a human.

Why you, a troll?

Karkat most likely stops questioning it and just tries to educate John as a friend.

Which leads into John asking if you have any... quadrants available.

The question perplexes you, yet John reiterates he hopes to be in a relationship with you.

If you refuse due to discomfort, no worries!

He understands.

John isn't going to just give up, though.

He's convinced you just need some more time.

That's okay... he'll wait as long as he feels you need.

He doesn't want to force anything just yet.

John will still try to be a good friend, even if you now express some discomfort about his feelings.

He just sticks around so close to you.

He does whatever you ask and still gives you those bad jokes you enjoy.

The issue with John is he's stubborn as said before.

At some point he'll ask you again...

And again...

All until you eventually cave and decide to allow him into your flushed quadrant.

He just loves you!

He loves you too much to just let you get with anyone.

He understands your culture requires at least two other romance options.

While he'll allow you to have those, he has to make sure you'll stay with him first.

Pardon him if he seems a little off.

He adores you and is extremely optimistic that you'll reciprocate in the future.

Until then... he has to limit your socializing for now.

He apologizes that things seem forced...

But he's so willing to try new things with you...

Surely you'll forgive him once you see what he can do for you, yeah?

So first off, I need to clarify that certain characters will ONLY be platonic while others can be both. Drawing wise, I will only do the fandoms I list here but I will draw any that's not listed as well.

Other Notes, I can age or deage character. Characters can be shipped with other canon or the reader, i don't mind doing either. You should clarify what exactly you want; fluff, angst, flanst, yandere, nsfw, and so forth. You can even give specific details for the reader.

Also, feel free to give plot, suggestions, and just in general whatever. I want to get back into writing so it'll take me time but I promise I will get things down eventually. Hi, I’m Rory and I’ve decided to start getting back into writing stuff for Homestuck!

Some things to note:

-I haven’t played Friendsim or Hiveswap so I’m not familiar with those characters

-I haven’t read the epilogues so I don’t feel comfortable writing anything involving characters/events that only appear in them (so no Ult!Dirk or the new kids)

Other things I won’t write:

-Yandere or Heinoustuck (or anything involving non-con or SA)

-Anything involving active S/H or su*cide (I don’t want to potentially trigger anyone, plus I’m just not comfortable writing that kind of stuff)

Things I will write:

-headcannons/imagines/ all kinds of x reader stuff for the alpha + beta kids, as well as the trolls, dancestors, and ancestors

-romantic/red and platonic/pale relationships (potentially blackrom/auspictice as well depending on if I feel that I can write it for a specific character well enough

-poly/multiple characters in one request (just specify if it’s poly or separate for each character, with a limit of 3 characters per request)

-AUs (bloodswap, no sburb/sgrub, etc)

-trans characters (I have a soft spot for june egbert and trans strilondes, but I’m ok with writing John egbert and the strilondes as not trans too)

"Alright, I'll see you later?" You asked the boy, John Egbert, who you had met at the grocery store that day.

"yeah definitely! i look forward to seeing you again!" You parted ways, and began to walk home. It was only after you walked into your house that you realized you had forgotten to give him your phone number, or anything else that he could use to contact you.

You sighed, annoyed at your temporary forgetfulness, but didn't really see a way that you could tell him now. Maybe you'd be lucky enough to see him around town again. You always went to that grocery store, usually around the same time. Maybe he did as well, only time will tell.

You take your shoes off and walk further into your house, sitting on the couch and turning on the television. You flipped through the channels absentmindedly before picking one. You watched a few episodes of the show, before checking the time. It was a few minutes after 5 pm, so there would still be a couple hours until sunset.

You grab the remote again, thinking that you'll turn the television on again to watch one more episode before starting to make dinner, but you realize that you hadn't taken the garbage out yet. You get up and decide to do that instead, walking out your back door with the trash bag in hand.

Once you get outside, you close the patio door behind you and start walking to where your trash cans are, quite a few paces away from your back door. You climb down the wooden steps leading to the end of your driveway where your garage is, and open the lid of the trash bin. You toss the bag inside, but as you go to shut it, you hear the noise of what sounds like a large animal nearby.

You look around, expecting to see a deer or something similar, but instead make eye contact with a man who was walking towards you in your backyard. You backed up a couple steps, still watching him to make sure he didn't do anything more, before turning around at the base of the steps and running up them. When you got to the top, a gust of wind blew through your yard, so strong you felt like it would blow you over. You tried to keep walking to your door, figuring that this shouldn't matter to you because he would also be pushed back.

Suddenly, you felt arms wrap around you and cover your mouth as the wind instantly stopped. You first thought the person was simply blocking the wind from hitting you somehow, before looking over to your yard and seeing that the grass was totally still. You started panicking, lashing out and trying to get him off of you, but he just moved you into a bridal carry. "hey, it's okay. don't worry, you're safe with me." Imagine being captured by the beta and alpha humans - or, specifically, everyone but John. Imagine lethargically trying to fight against the bonds you've been tied with. Ribbon, to be exact. The kind you would wrap around birthday presents for an extra, fanciful touch on a gift you'll present to someone. You had been taken in by your friends, the people you trusted, and was drugged and tied up against your will.

You're so tired and your head is so fuzzy, thanks to Crockercorp's production of painkillers and sedatives. A Maid of Life couldn't be everywhere at once, so it'd make sense to distribute medications to dull one's sense of pain, if need be. Having them make you weak and tired was just an added benefit.

It's not like all of them were exactly thrilled by the idea. But, John had been so down lately, and they knew this would be the thing to perk him up. They'd make sure he'd have the best birthday ever.

After a few final touches, they bid you farewell, only leaving a card for John before they left, signed by the seven of them.

It isn't too long before he finally arrives. You watch as his eyes widen in surprise, before lighting up with John. He postures changes completely. He crosses the room in an instant, bending down to meet your eyes from where you were tied up on the floor. His hands caress everywhere, anywhere he can get his hands on. His ocean eyes are blown out so wide, drinking in every inch of you and committing it to memory.

At some point, you swear he starts salivating.

"Oh, you're everything I ever wanted," He says, voice soft and husky. "I've wanted you for so long..."

Which character do you think would fit the yandere archetype? Something tells me Dave due to him being obsessive and controlling like he was with Jade, the Mayor, and Karkat. He's dismissive towards others and their interests and he craves attention with him talking to himself a bunch when people aren't responding to his messages. Not exactly psychopathic stuff but in saying he'd probably be the closest to fit the archetype. Or Doc Scratch

People always thought Eridan as this, due to his obsession with quadrants and his relation with Feferi. Some even mistake his duel with Sollux as this, despite that it was more about him wanting to live than about love. Yes he did go to them to speak with Feferi, but only because he did care for her as a being. Maybe for the fact she is the next Heiress and a sea dweller that Eridan's ideals are still present subconsciously. I still think he did care for Feferi even if his feelings were not returned in that same way. For all we know, if the duel had ended with him winning and Feferi not attacking, there would have been a chance that Eridan would try to convince others like Karkat or Kanaya to join him.

Of course, they would say no after that lightshow, but there could have been a moment where Eridan would speak to his last few living friends to go with him to see Jack. Eridan could even say to Karkat that he and him were close at one point, so why isn't he the one to take the initiative to do something with Jack? When Karkat was warned by Terezi about some other evil intention and Karkat denied it, it could put him on the spotlight that he would blame himself for not listening to others. Not only he had trusted Jack as a friend, but because Karkat had trusted him for having the same red mutant blood that he was once so desperate to hide from all his friends. Karkat had friends that didn't mind or pushed too hard on the topic about his blood. But having Jack be the first on his mind when it comes to hemospectrum, it would show that even after Alternia is destroyed, he is still on the mindset of its customs and cultures. The ones he grew up with and despite it having going against mutants like him, Karkat still wishes to live a dream of being part of the high governing. At least in terms of being a Threscutioner.

I would like to think Kanaya has some shade of yandere, just that she is not as confrontational about her feelings compared to Eridan. Kanaya saw Vriska and Tavros kiss. What did she do after they were all stuck on the meteor? CHAINSAW TAVROS' LOWER HALF. Why do that in a moment of trying to hide from Jack? Because Tavros is useless as he is without walking? Kanaya didn't talk to Equius, Tavros, or anyone about giving him new legs to really walk. Did she do that after so long because she couldn't do it when all the trolls were together? Would she have done it if the trolls did get Earth as their prize? She never confronted or told Vriska she loved her, but probably had expected that maybe she would soon draw her attention to Kanaya in a slow burn manner.

Now that Rose is here, she's Kanaya's new obsession. Speaking with mostly Rose. Sure she spoke with Dave Strider, but only because he is like a brother and wants to get close with his sister. She never spoke to Jade, probably aware that the two aren't as close because of their personalities clashing. True she spoke with John, but she didn't know it was John, she was pranked because John was using Rose's account at the time. Kanaya probably never spoke with John because she was aware of Rose's small crush on him. She was probably scared asking advice from a competitor would be bad and it would end up the same way with Vriska and Tavros.

Upon Rose reaching the meteor, Kanaya stuck to her 24/7. Vriska was killed by Terezi, so she couldn't keep her love for her that long. Rose would be this to keep her sane after her close friend, Eridan, had killed her. Kanaya let Rose do what she wants, even if it draws attention away from her. She still likes the idea of bad girl attitude, which is what she saw in Vriska. She wants to do the same to Rose. It hurts to see her drink alcohol, but at least she was still alive and at her side. Karkat said not to kill Gamzee, so Kanaya obliges if only that means she would focus on Rose. Gamzee could go after Karkat or Terezi, but she does not care and accepts her leader's orders if it meant she would only protect Rose.

You think she would get better upon getting married to Rose, but then Epilogues and Homestuck^2 start to see the cracks in the romance. Kanaya has duties to help with Mother Grub, but what does Rose do? Mostly stay inside as a housewife. She never goes out with friends or hang with anyone else. Yes she did go with Kanaya to the caverns, but it was to also adopt a child to be their daughter. Kanaya thinks that if she has another familial tie with her, Rose would still think about her wife and stay in one place where Kanaya will always return to.

Then there's the shit with Rose cheating on Jade. It may seem like Kanaya is fine, but what if it is a front to hide her frustration and anger? After all, she had masked this with Tavros. Trying to say that her cutting his lower half was for the sake of greater good. Kanaya would try to say that Rose and Jade keeping a secret baby for 10+ was a good thing to help another friend. She probably has known that quadrants are poly relationships, so she has to let Rose be with Jade. If she tries to call out that their marriage means Rose can't be anyone, Kanaya would be called a hypocrite because of what she was taught in those troll customs. Maybe in actuality, Kanaya is upset again she was losing another loved one close to her. Even after Rose left Kanaya upon confronting that things didn't work out and going with Dirk, Kanaya still followed with Dave, Karkat, and Jade to go after her. She has duties with the Mother Grub, but chose to go after Rose instead.

If Homestuck 2 had continued, what would Kanaya's reaction be about Rose having a thing for her father/brother, Dirk? What would she react that Terezi had tried to pitch flirt with Rosebot? Another fellow troll friend she once knew, going after her beloved wife? What happens if she was aware of both timelines in Meat and Candy, that something happens to Rose and Kanaya loses her? Kanaya would fucking snap. One could say it is because of her Space Player aspect that she was destined to be alone, but her marrying Rose was her assurance to try and break that cycle. And out of all the ways to force her to be alone again, why this? Paradox Space? I thought things like that wouldn't be in effect once the game is over. They reached Earth C, right? So why does it still effect everyone in these new timelines? Is it because Lord English is still alive? Well he got killed in one timeline, so how is it still affect the others? Because Dirk and Gamzee are still alive and they are part of Lord English? Because Dirk would be the next villain? So then that meant the game was still on if other ties to LE are still around? That's bullshit and you know it.

But yeah, I would think Kanaya is the yandere archetype in its own subtle way. She doesn't express herself openly to her object of love, but expect that letting her loved one do as she pleases to be happy, Kanaya would hope that at the end of the day, someone like Rose would come to her. Rose staying as the housewife was also another win for Kanaya to make sure she doesn't lose sight of her when she's busy with duties as a jadeblood. Maybe if Homestuck 2 does go on, she probably would be insane and go after anyone that took Rose from her. Would it go far if she tries to attack Dave or Dirk? Would she have tried to kill Yiffany because she was upset Rose chose this daughter over the one (Vriska) that they had bother raised? Would her awareness of both timelines make her lose control that she and Rose were not meant to be as she had hoped? I definitely wouldn't mind reading a fan fic or fanventure that has Kanaya keeping Rose to herself by any means necessary.
