I've said this before but it does bear repeating - I've always known antisemitism existed, of course - in a standard goy, frankly naive, "this doesn't really affect me" way. I learned about the Holocaust in school, always been pretty aware of the double standards surrounding Israel, but I was also certain I knew I wasn't antisemitic, so didn't give it much thought. Until the last few months.

I started doing a lot of reading and learning and listening to Jewish voices in the wake of my disgust at the overall leftist reaction to Oct. 7 and I have been bowled over and utterly appalled at the sheer scale and insidiousness of the way antisemitism is baked into the very foundations of Western society. As a goy I would have sworn upside down I'd never had an antisemitic thought or belief in my life. And while consciously that may certainly be true, the process of unlearning centuries of unconscious extremely prevalent prejudice is not a straightforward one and the only way to do it in good faith is listen and learn.

That's why I do not trust fellow goyim who are so adamant that they know exactly what antisemitism is and isn't and know for a fact that they aren't - because the deeply insidious nature and long, long history of antisemitism means it is almost impossible to live and grow up in Western society (obviously antisemitism exists elsewhere but as a Westerner that's the experience I'm talking to) without being influenced in some way by it.

If a Jewish person tells you you are being antisemitic, sit down, shut up, swallow your pride and your indignation, and LISTEN AND LEARN.

I love Maddie for taking offense on Eddie’s behalf.

Because of her history with Doug, who loved her and hurt her because he didn't know how to properly express his frustrations and anger and envy.

She is the exact person to give Buck the riot act for loving Eddie and hurting him because he doesn't know how to express his conflicting emotions.

I have always loved and respected Maddie on all her mistakes, which only made her more relatable, and here, my love and respect for her increased tenfold, because this is not something to sweep under the rug and pretend it never happened.

Buck hurt Eddie out of some kindergarten crush, akin to the boy yanking on a girl's pigtails. He's a grown ass adult. It's time he learned to handle his emotions and behavior accordingly.

Maddie is both Mom and Older sister that was beaten by her husband here, and even though Buck kissed Tommy, she knows where his love lies first and foremost, and him hurting a significant other of any capacity is forbidden in her eyes, as well it should be.

5 years ago, this picture would have sent me into a downward spiral from the likes of which most people couldn’t even comprehend.

Miracles are real: WE HAVE ALREADY REACHED THE GOAL!!

Yesterday I received several notifications from kofi, but I didn't read them because I was busy with homework.

Today I woke up with one of the most beautiful and surreal surprises I could imagine… WE REACHED THE GOAL SO FAST?? I don't have words to express how I feel right now, I'm crying with happiness in my room with my shaking hands trying to draw something decent…

I had mentally prepared myself to "hopefully" reach half of this goal in May (you can imagine my surprise when I saw the goal notification just 2 days later).

I never thought this would be something possible… Especially when I've been here for such a short time. But I have to admit that I felt more than welcome :)

To everyone who shared my post: thank you very much and blessings from the universe, I hope you have a beautiful year full of wonderful things.

And to those who contributed: THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, my work and my passion for the arts can continue thanks to you <3
