April is Sexual assault awareness month.

I wanted to come out, and remind you that you can reach out and speak up that you can get the help you need, and to share my story.

I was 7 years old. He was 70.

My life has forever been changed, and at the time, I didn't know what was happening, but he told me he would k*ll me if a said a word to anyone. So I never spoke up. If I had said something if I had said something, if I had spoke out, that would have saved the other girls who suffered like I did. If I had spoke up, I could have made sure he got what he deserved, But I didnt and to this day, I love with regrets and trauma that has changed my life.

But I survived and I am a survivor. If you have gone through anything similar, speak up, save yourself and those around you. There are so many people who are driven to do dire things due to the feeling of hopelessness that SA gives them. Don't be another statistic, don't be another number. There's so many people who care about you, speak up and get the help you need.

You deserve to live a long, healthy and happy life, no matter the situation you're put through. You deserve to survive and thrive. I know that getting through it is so very hard, but there is a light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel. I promise💕

There's people you can talk to, such as the police or the national sexual assault hotline(1-800-656-HOPE)

Day 7: Loveless

I am but a loveless child. A child of trauma and hurt. I know only the bad of the world. I hold all your pain inside of your heart. I hold all the broken memories in your mind. Build walls around your heart so tall I can not escape at all. Spending my days alone I start counting the bricks cracks and all. Putting me away I watch the pass world while you dace above. I am but a loveless child. I wish for nothing but love.

Now that I built this tower so I high I can not fly. I am but a loveless child damned to my own isolation. No breath. No dreams. No memories. No clouds. I am still this loveless child wanting nothing but to be seen.

Suns pass, moons rise. No longer do I wish to be this loveless child. I rip free of my rusted cage. I know I am meant to fly. I am not a loveless child. I am filled with hope and wonder. I do not need this tower. I sore high above into the stars tasting the cosmos. For a moment I thought that it was a dream. I thought I could be free of my demons but they will always follow there is still a loveless child.

Make friends with the beasts and tame their gaping jaws. I am more than a loveless child. I may have been hurt but I do not need to hold the world in my hands. I am no longer a child. I am grown and I am not a spec in the universe but rather a life giving star. I am about to hit supernova. When I implode I take myself out and after exploding I take out my universe. I will not let myself become a loveless child. For I am more than just a child.

I hate seeing posts that are like "oh the hills grow grass while you're away" and "Things thrive even without you there" No. Not all the time. Sometimes the headstone sinks into the ground to the point where no one can see it. Sometimes the fields become unmanageable to the point that you have to put an extreme amount of effort into them in order for them to be usable again. A lot of animals would die if we weren't there to scoop some food into their bowl. Not everything thrives in your absence.
