Not trying to invalidate this person's individual experience, decisions, regrets, and pain; and like, yes, hair loss is sadly gendered and I have personally felt that agony of "I am less of a woman for this," but like... man, that video making the rounds on Twitter right now sure was a slap in the face, lol. And yeah, five years of testosterone might potentially lead to irreversible alopecia, and generally nobody's happy about losing their hair. But so might five years of birth control! It happened to me!!! But nobody bats an eye at the side effects of cisgender-affirming hormone treatments, right? Why isn't that doing numbers on social media? Being used to warn women away??
