okay but what if Joyce goes to get something out of her wallet and Karen sees that she has pictures of Will, Jonathan, and El in it. and she can’t help but coo at the photos and lament over Mike’s aversion to pictures. of course Karen has to unearth some old photos to embarrass Mike. she even goes as far as sharing them with the rest of the party. and everyone is poking fun at Mike’s baby pictures (cue classic bathtub pictures) while he pouts and Karen pats his head sarcastically sympathetic.

it’s Lucas who notices first, that Mike is frowning in most of them. most of them being the operative word. because Mike is positively beaming in every photo that Will is in. he’s looking through photos so fast to compare them that he captures Dustin’s attention, who in turn gets the attention of everyone else when he loudly asks what Lucas’ deal is. Lucas can hardly keep the laughter out of his voice as he slams the evidence down, photos of Mike frowning in solo pictures with every party member. aside from Will. “this asshole- (“Language-“ “-Sorry-“) is frowning in every photo with us! except for Will, of course.” and Mike goes completely red, sputtering out some kind of flimsy defense, but no one can hear him over the indignant squawking of the entire party. and-

Based on this post, the depth of subtlety I expect out of Seto Kaiba trying to return the favor of dragging him kicking and screaming out from behind his 500 emotional barriers after realizing Yugi has just as many up himself.

As someone who's been a Jerma fan since the TF2 days, the joke I miss the most was the 'this is NOT a beginner Jerma stream' comments. Like my man had difficulty levels for his streaming experiences. Like you needed a warning and a debriefing before clicking on Twitch to see unregistered Hypercam, a lie detector test, him killing santa, or Jerma trying desperately to get a copy of Red Dead Redemption for hours, getting increasingly unhinged with every avenue that got blocked for some unknown cosmic level reason so he ends up playing Skate 3, a real person fighting game, TF2, and another game where he superimposes his mouth over character's mouth to make it look like he's talking for them, aka, my favorite Jerma bit ever.

A lot of this is now just kind of standard fare after the carnival and dollhouse, but that was never not funny to see on the subreddit or the 2ndJerma videos when a new stream happened and the old veterans all gathered round and labeled it 'not a beginner Jerma stream'.

I’m listening to Juno Steel and the Man in Glass again, and y’know what just struck me?

Juno is smarter than Nureyev.

Nureyev is presented as the polished master thief with a thousand faces, sure, but all his skill points are in bluff. He knows how to blend in, how to thieve, and most importantly, how to handle people, string them along with pretty words and meaningful glances. He’s the face, the charm, the trickster.

Juno is none of that. But what we sometimes forget is that Juno was able to make a living as a detective for a while for a reason. He acts as though he doesn’t care, like he isn’t paying attention, but he notices things, and connects one thought to the other fast enough that sometimes even he doesn’t realize it until he’s already acting. He has impeccable instincts, but more often than not, instincts like that come from absorbing dozens of tiny bits of information and subconsciously stringing them together until the conclusion suddenly seems obvious, and it doesn’t occur to him that it’s very likely no one else has noticed.

Juno can’t bluff to save his life (as we’ve seen) and he does tend to the quick & dirty approach to crime solving/crime committing, but even the decision to let himself get beat to a pulp is, at least subconsciously, calculated. Juno is really incredibly intelligent, but with how he presents himself, nobody really notices until it’s too late.

& tbh I love that for him.

Sudden thought: fae are more 'potant' than humans, it just cancels out with fae+fae. But fae+human? Be ready to have quadruplets. I know I'm some six years late but words cannot express my UTTER disappointment that in Divinity Original Sin 2, playing as an undead skeleton character, the game simply gives you magical skin and blood for the romance scenes.
