Our “Kindergarten” Miniseries is officially up and running! This little series will focus on age-appropriate training and handling of foals/young horses too young for under-saddle training, using R+ (WITHOUT creating pushy / “disrespectful” youngsters!). Topics covered will include halter training, leading, tying, and tolerance for hoofcare / veterinarian care, with an emphasis on safe boundaries, appropriate expectations for emotional control, and manners.

Each episodes will include complete clicker training sessions with yearling Beta and 2-year-old Sylgja, followed by a lecture portion in which we delve into theory and analyze each session in detail, explaining the how and why of what was done with each horse.

Hi Kim Thank you for all your help with getting started using Silver Whinnys socks. . Just thought I would let you know how impressed we are with them. . We had put in lots of work and hours to try and get Trotsky’s leg good so we were quite skeptical when someone suggested trying the socks, but I am glad we were proved wrong. We are amazed at the progress his leg has made in just 3 weeks. . I have attached 2 pictures of Trotsky’s leg, one just as we were about to put his sock on for the first time three weeks ago and the other picture was taken on Monday. . How was your show weekend? 😃 1st show in the books for 2020 and what a roller-coaster it was! 🎢 Had an amazing 1st ride with judges final comments stating "impressive canter!", 2nd ride we politely excused ourself from the ring, and the 3rd ride...well we were able to harness some of the energy that results from the lack of confidence and get thru the ride....but were wished "good luck" 🤣🤣🤣 He's a young, very immature and emotionally insecure horse. So for the first show out this season, he showed up and was competitive....when he held his confidence together. There are a lot of things you can look at to make a first impression of a horse.....I always, always, ALWAYS, base it off of the eye. What do you look at to base your judgements on?! 👀 . This is my 3 year old. We got him as a 6mo old, and he has always been a sweet sweet boy. He will tell you when he's done working...but otherwise he is soo sweet and gentle.
