- What depression feels like.

Everywhere I am, everywhere I want to be, I am followed.

A defenseless shape, floating aimlessly among other faceless shades of sorrow. Eyes follow me into the darkness of my own thoughts, their own worries bending and fulfilling mine.

My own eyes too scared to look into the reflection hanging above my bathroom sink, two pools of emptiness, orbs staring straight ahead but not seeing anything. Always following through the motions in a hazy daze.

Like a feverish nightmare that keeps me caged even when the sun is dancing upon the cloudless sky.

I am fading away, minutes passing by, bits and pieces of me crumbling away like sandcastles, my memories disappearing into the incoming waves. Shoving me deeper into the ground. I cannot get up.

Even when I am laughing.

Smiling.

Making you laugh.

My mind a blank sphere, I don't remember anything. I don't remember what I like, I don't know how to pretend anymore.
