I hope we get to see Zane and Nya bonding, directly or indirectly, about the love of their lives being AWOL. Partially because I like sad angst and also those two interacting. Mostly because I think it'd be really funny.

Listen. Listen to me. Neither of them are going about this mourning/panicking process the same way. Not even close. Zane has a broom with Pixal's face and is sighing longingly while looking off the Destiny's Bounty. A faraway look in his eye that makes the others feel really bad for him. When will she return from the war? When will half of his heart return to him? It feels like weeks. Months. Years. It's been four hours and in actuality he's mostly fine he's just sad about it.

Nya meanwhile is trying to subtly ask everyone if they've seen Jay around and very much acting completely Calm and Chill about it but also pretty worried underneath. She seems like she's fine. She is not. At all times she is 0.4 seconds away from yeeting herself into the sea again. Constantly down to 1v1 someone in a duel just for looking at her weird. Will kick open a door shouting at top volume if anyone's seen her cringefail of a fiancé. Her designated dragon is quite literally lightning-based. She's going through it on five different levels but if she tells anyone that she will die instantly.

And I think these two should go on a solo mission together. Thoughts?

Jean's promise to Kevin? I fucking threw up brother. like it just. that whole scene and all the complicated feelings has about Kevin (and Neil) but he's still not breaking Kevin's promise. he still makes promises with Neil. like just that small, almost childish hope in him. he doesn't hate Kevin nearly as much as he wants to say he does now that he's gone and I'm so obsessed with it

oh the "Away, Jean" scenes broke my heart because I have a feeling Nora might use Jeremy saying Jean hurt him in the future. be it Jeremy finally Losing It about something and snapping (unlikely) or Jean using it as an excuse as to why he shouldn't look at Jeremy (very likely). they both break my whole heart with this scene, but I loved watching (well reading) Jean grow as a player and as a person, and start to understand that he can change his little habits. it'll just take time and watching his coaches and captain give him the grace he needs for that learning curve has me nawing on the bars of my enclosure

on top of that, Jean telling Jeremy he didn't feel safe? gagged. the fact that Jeremy, despite KNOWING it was a bad choice, stepped away and respected Jean's (slightly self-destructive) boundaries? screaming and yelling and crying my eyes out. that scene hurt me in so many ways, but the biggest one is the fact that Jean knew Jeremy would respect him if he said it. I mean it was like a punch in the throat, but it created a lot of trust between them based on Jean's boundaries and I cannot be normal about it

I'm not gonna lie, I giggled a bit at Jeremy's absolute rudeness on that phone call. like it was definitely heartbreaking and I want to give Kevin a hug. and Jean. and Neil. but the gall to call someone and immediately ask for their traumatic backstory is crazy. anyway, that scene was sad but other than giggling a bit at Jeremy's word choices, it didn't evoke a ton of emotion in me? i already knew about Kevin's had from TFC-TKM so it didn't surprise me, but I did feel terrible for Jeremy and how he found out. he will be making GOOD use of his therapist in the future I just know it

I HATE RIKO. OH MY GOD. the whole book everytime I say his, or Grayson, or Zane's name I had to say a quick prayer for the murderous thoughts running through my head. I hate him I need to hurt him even though he's already dead

i loved this book so much. once the mental illness about it dies down and I can think of it without my heart crumbling I'm going to reread it. I loved all the characters (minus all of the Ravens of course) and I cannot wait for tsc2 to come out. I'm sooo excited and I hope we get a bit more on Jeremy's family and how he thinks he ruined it. it was such a beautiful book and it makes me so sick to my stomach (in a good way) and I love it like my firstborn

I loved loved loved Jean and Jeremy, both separately and together. the parallels of Jean's family giving him up as a child but Jeremy's family not letting him leave even though he's an adult? Nora is fucking insane and i love her for it. her brain is just so good. I hope they get more of Jean accepting he has a family with Cat and Laila and Jeremy. I hope he starts referring to the house they share as HIS house, instead of calling it Laila's. I know he already called it home but I need him to take personal possession of things other than his notebooks. he and Jeremy deserve the whole world and I trust Nora whole heartedly to give them that after she torments us first ♡♡♡

Oh oh, question! What's each ninja's mental health journey throughout the series? Who becomes more stable mentally, who doesn't. Will anyone develop any issues?

Well, it’s kinda like—

Kai and Zane: Both hit very, VERY deep lows at various points in the story, but in front of others still manage to keep a clear head to get them all out of situations (with slips up here and there). And then while in private, Kai tends to get violent and Zane—well, once he (re)learns how to mess with his own memories and/or emotions you know what happens

Nya and Skylor: Both have had rough experiences growing up (Skylor perhaps more extremely) and then go on to be directly or indirectly associated with others suffering (more so Nya here), but aside from a few lashes of anger or frustration at their circumstances every now and then, are actually pretty well adjusted all things considered.

Harleigh: Is probably the only one that clearly gets put on a better place mentally, though it definitely takes a whole lot of time and patience. She starts off so irritable and unfriendly because she feels helpless and betrayed, but slowly gets the perspective needed to pull herself out of it.

Jay and Pixal: Similar to Kai and Zane they hit some LOWS, but despite feeling that bad…they never quite let it consume them (with exceptions such as the extreme situation in S9). Like, Jay may panic and freak out of course, and Pixal has the occasional nightmare and lapse in judgement, but rarely do they hit a point where they can no longer function or fight their way out of a situation, whether physically or mentally.

Cole: Goes from burying his problems and being crushed by the weight of bearing them all to relearning that he does have the power to climb himself out of a deep hole ;w;)/ it’s not easy by any mean and rightfully has moments of deep despair, but for him, he does get better at not letting it consume his entire mind (although he never could quite chase away all his insecurities either)

Jesse: idk how this man makes it, life is tearing him down and ruining his happiness at every chance it gets and if it’s not him it’s Cole so how has he not had a fully blown meltdown how do you drag yourself through these miserable days sir???? (He has a therapist) but no, pls, get this man a BREAK

Miranda: Probably works in reverse— just kind of ignores her pain and problems as best she can and vibes through life until it winds up smacking her in the face long, long down the line at a very inconvenient time and then she suddenly can’t COPE (but she gets better. Mostly.)

The Ninja and Forced Relaxation

Since I just had to go through this with my own BF and our found family, I thought I'd lay this one out for the ninja as well!

Kai

Can and will force his family to take a nap if he sees them fumbling around.

Has created a sort of litmus test that consist of funny (and equally dirty) rhymes to see just how tired someone is.

The trick is seeing just how much they could stand and repeat without laughing.

It's now a meme at the monastery where anyone who can't repeat the rhymes without laughing need food/a nap.

Cole

He's a (somehow) extremely skilled massage therapist.

He learned how to check pressure points from watching his mother constantly probing Lou for his own sore spots.

Everyone who stays at the monastery (or the ninja at all) for any length of time eventually learn to constantly be on guard for his probing fingers.

Cole usually goes for the neck, and will attack any knots that he finds (usually unconsciously).

Zane

Zane has a sixth sense where he can tell when everyone is getting hungry.

It has nothing to do with him being a nindroid: He just loves cooking and making sure that everyone around him is taken care of. He was built to protect, after all...

He keeps note cards with explicit details about everyone's comfort foods that he's left behind for cases when he's not around to make it himself. (Kai somehow knows them all by heart since he helped Zane write them).

Has been known to cheerfully pull a knife and threaten with bloody violence whenever someone (Lloyd/Nya/Kai) is cranky and tells him they aren't hungry).

Jay

Used to be the king of LAN games before he realized that the monastery had WiFi.

Always on the lookout if he sees someone needs some down time and isn't afraid to start a cult based on getting people to loosen up can and will break out into a series of increasingly bad puns to get people to laugh.

Is secretly terrified that people who are overly serious just hate him (with good reason) so he's always trying to rope everyone into his latest practical joke.

Is the king of memes and somehow knows everyone's phone number/social media handles (even their secret ones).

It's his new way of sulking

It's been a very long month for the ninjas. Especially, Kai. And who could blame him?

The city & the ninjas get constantly attacked like they're walking hit targets.

Kai is always on the edge of having a heart attack every time his friends or sister gets hurt, which is VERY often thank you very much.

episodes of panic attacks every time the villain almost got one of the team kidnapped. Again, this is very common, especially in Lloyd's case.

And not to mention the bills for every DAMN property damage that he need to pay, really starting to regret taking the big brother role in this family.

But he didn't have time to sulk around when the team needs him to keep them out of trouble. Yeah, he does drive the team into trouble many times before but now he's matured and knows that he needs to keep this goddamn wrecked family in line.

He has done his best to calm himself. Such as training after making sure Lloyd meets his therapist(gods know that the kid needs it), cooking with Zane, or just listening to Dareth rambling about Ronin. He felt better after a few days.

Then it happens.

It was a beautiful day. The Sun is shining bright, with no villain or cursed artifact around. And some of the ninjas tried to enjoy it as much as they can.

Zane and Pixal have a nice conversation while monitoring the city, Nya caught up with Skylor on her way to the mall, and Kai is in the kitchen making some really spicy noodle soup for himself. Even Wu tried to enjoy the day by meditating in the nearby river. In conclusion, everyone is happy with how peaceful that day is.

‘BOOM!!!’

that is until an explosion inside the monastery. Kai was startled so much that he almost drop the noodle bowl in his hands. His head snaps where the sound from. Carefully put down the bowl and then started to run towards the source.

The only ninjas in the monastery are him, Cole, Jay, and Lloyd. And he'll be damn if something happens to either of them. A lot of smoke and dust come out from the bathroom, he quickens his pace as his ears caught a faint sound of Lloyd and Jay coughing.

When he enters the bathroom, Lloyd and Jay were coughing while also laughing. Not realizing that Kai was already there.

“That was epic,” Jay said as he clean up the dust from his gi. Lloyd grinds and playfully punches Jay’s shoulder.

“We need to clean this up, tho. Before Kai-” “Before I'm what exactly?” Both of them stop moving for a second before they turn around just to see Kai's darkened unamused face. The fire ninja took a few steps closer to the scene. He stops when he reached the middle of the room. The bathroom is a bit messy and full of small wood pieces, what really matters is the gigantic hole in the wall where the cabinet should be.

Kai looked at the hole in the bathroom wall with wide eyes. The whole was fairly huge, the size was as big as...a whole ass bathtub. He is pissed. Not surprised but pissed. He turns his gaze slowly at the sheepish-looking Lloyd and Jay, while Cole stands near the entry with a clear amusement on his face.

“How” his voice is low enough to make Jay shudder. Lloyd avert his gaze, instead deciding that the floor was more interesting than Kai’s glare. The silence only makes the fire ninja more irritated.

“Lloyd, answer me, how” it's not a question nor a statement. Lloyd knows better than to ignore that. Especially when Kai radiates a terrifying heat wave and somehow dark aura around him. Even Cole's amused face fell and decided to run off somewhere out of the rage’s reach.

“U-um we...try to see i-if we can recreate a scene in some comic book with our elements power” Kai took a long and deep breath.

“And you two think that the best place to do it is in the freaking bathroom?” the question was answered by a shy nodd from both ninjas. Kai looked at the damaged wall one more time. Blink twice, then proceed to take another deep breath. He looks at his guilty-looking brothers with a stern expression on his face.

Kai walks past them without saying anything further. That of course set off the alarm in both of their minds. They look at each other

“What the hell just happened?” Jay asks. Kai didn't even grumble as he walked past them earlier. And it's concerning. The Green ninja only shrugs as he is just as confused as Jay.

It's been proximally 5 minutes after Kai confronted them, and there has been zero yelling in the monastery. Zero! Zonk! Nada! And for that Lloyd gets a little concerned and confused. They were walking through the hallway when the said ninja comes across them, with a shovel in his hand, and completely ignored both Lloyd and Jay. Both of them look at him as he walks further. Like a shared mind, two of them decided to follow Kai like ducklings from afar.

They walk through the monastery entrance when they meet Zane, Cole, and Pixal on the way.

“Oh! Hey, Ka-,” Kai walk past them without a glance. All three of them watch as he goes with utter confusion. When Lloyd and Jay walk to them to catch up with Kai.

“Hey, Jay! What's going on?” Cole ask.

“Don't know man, we just following Kai since he's acting weird” Jay explain while still walking, followed by Lloyd behind him.

“He didn't get mad at us after the incident earlier, so we figured it was the best thing to find out what's going on with him,” Lloyd said. “Wanna come? The more the merrier” He offers as he followed Jay’s pace. Cole and Zane Look at each other, then at the group in front of them. The earth ninja sighed and decided to go with it.

“Zane you wanna come too?” the nindroid smile and nods but before he leaves, he looked at Pixal “Do you mind if you do the check out of the damaged tech alone for now?” He knows that Pixal is very capable of doing that, just he didn't want to bother her with his task.

Pixal, being the goddess she is, smiles and pats his back. “Go have some fun with your brother, Zane,” The said ninja smiled at her warmly. He proceeds to jog to catch up with Cole.

They walk for about 5 to 7 minutes to some random forest that they haven't explored yet. Cole whispered to Lloyd, “do you think Kai knows that we've been following him?” The question makes Lloyd look at the fire ninja who suddenly stops in a small field near a river. “I honestly don't know if he cares about that”

They watch silently as their brother began to scoop out some dirt, making a hole just 1 foot away from the river bank.

“Dude, Lloyd, I think Kai’s trying to punish us by burying us” Jay whispered. Lloyd shook his head frantically.

“No way! Kai wouldn't do that!”

“You two did quite a number on the bathroom wall tho”

“Cole! Shut up!”

“What?! I’ve seen it myself!”

“I think, Kai wouldn't bury the two of you.” Zane suddenly said, cutting the arguments between Jay and Cole. The three ninjas look at him with a confused faces.

“What do you mean, Zane?” Lloyd ask. Zane then points to where Kai is, “Kai stop digging after the hole is from what I’ve seen 7,874 inc. And it occurred to be Kai’s tall” the Nindroid explains. All of them looked at Kai and Zane was right. The fire ninja stop digging the ground after he dug up some good inches more. The ninja watched and wondering what the heck is Kai going to do with that.

The fire ninja drops the shovel not too far from the hole. Take off his jacket. Lay in the hole he just makes, face looking straight up to the sky, and hands resting on his belly. The ninjas look at each other once more, more confused than concerned.

“I'll text Nya about this-” Jay hasn't finished his sentence when suddenly Kai’s whole body was lit on a blaze of Fire. All of them yelp and shriek in surprise. Cole and Lloyd are about to make a run toward Kai when Zane absurdly holds their shoulders. Stopping their steps.

“Wait, Look at Kai” The nindroid once again points at Kai, who now looks like he's having a nice nap. While his whole body is covered by hot red fire that continuously flickers on its tips. The ninjas look at the phenomenon in front of them with awe and are absolutely dumbfounded.

“Guys! I get some info from Nya!” Jay shout-whispered to them as he didn't want to wake up the (probably napping) fire ninja. All the three remaining others look at him, waiting for an explanation.

“Ok, Nya said, and I quoted “Kai has a habit when he felt too stressed and what I mean really stressed, he'll dig up some hole for him to lay on it and won't move until either something happens or he’s done sulking.””

“Huh you learn new things every day” Cole replied.

“Did Nya say something about the firey thing?” Lloyd asked. Jay looks at his phone one more time before nodding.

“Yup. Apparently, it's his new way of stress-relieving” Jay said as he put his phone back into his pants. The three nodded then fixed their gaze on the napping fire ninja. They have seen enough and decided that it was better to leave the poor over stressed ninja there. And go back to the monastery.

Two hours later, Kai gets back to the monastery. He scowled at both Lloyd and Jay, calculating the bills to pay for the damage, and then eat his re-heated noodle soup.

TIMING: august 26th SETTING: the house SUMMARY: people forget their birthdays all the time... right?

His phone was buzzing somewhere. It was enough to drag him out of the half-dead stupor, flopped on the bed with Buddy curled up by his feet, Grey’s Anatomy still running on his laptop after an embarrassing amount of ‘are you still watching?’ notifications. Zane blinked, the familiar faces of doctors that were way too pretty coming back into focus. At least an episode and a half had passed since he’d actually been paying attention. 

Uncurling from the horror of a lounging position that would have made every physical therapist break into tears, Zane started the process of rummaging around the sheets to find his phone. Buddy offered help in the form of one eye opening in a disapproving glare, earning an apologetic smile from the vampire. The phone was finally dragged from its hiding place where it had been attempting to vanish between the bed and the wall. With a sigh, Zane flopped onto his back, sliding back the lockscreen with a vague punch to the gut once he spotted the time. Had it really been six hours?

All that bustle around finding the phone had apparently just been to find an email notification. Since the alternative was going back to reruns slowly killing off brain cells, Zane scrolled through, stomach sinking further. A 10% discount in honor of your birthday! Only valid today. 

Was it really? Sure enough, the date on his phone proved it had indeed been a year since he’d last celebrated his birthday. It hadn’t been a big thing last year, spent at work like most other days but the other nurses were very strict on their ‘everyone gets a cake on their birthday’ rule. They’d all even chipped in to get him a new coffee mug that still sat proudly in the cafeteria cupboards, Derek Shepherd’s face grinning at everyone who went to get their mug each day. It was cheesy and ridiculous and he’d loved it. 

Phone abandoned to the side, Zane’s eyes focused on the ceiling. The quiet in this house really could get overbearing. Did vampires even need to celebrate birthdays? There hadn’t been a celebration hosted in this house for such an occasion but then again, the clan previously inhabiting the house hadn’t proved a great example for… anything. Even if vampires celebrated their birthdays in general, Zane realized with a sinking feeling that it didn’t matter. 

There was no one to call, no one to invite over. Not even a valid reason to have cake, really, since it didn’t even taste the same now. The room felt dark and silent, suffocatingly so. Despite heavy limbs, Zane dragged himself from bed, the weight of another wasted day pulling on him. Picking up a discarded shirt from the back of a chair and pulling it on, he gave Buddy a halfhearted pet on the head. For fear of somehow managing to suffocate just by staying in this house a moment later, he barely remembered to put on shoes before bolting out the front door. 

The run didn’t help. Not really, not in the way it was supposed to. Not when past birthdays, even the bad ones spent in the home for boys or with shitty foster parents, clung on his back no matter how fast he ran. Even on the bad ones, he hadn’t been completely alone. That relentless spark of optimism had always managed to sink its teeth into something - an unenthusiastic rendition of Happy Birthday from his classmates, a slightly nicer dinner than usual from foster parents that couldn’t cook, a flower crown made by the other volunteers when they were hunkered down in a bad hostel. 

So he ran. No music, no phone to remind him of the lack of messages, no set path. Just the idea that maybe if he could stay out of the house until midnight, returning wouldn’t feel quite so overbearingly empty.

S!NYA AND M!NYA ARE THE BWORSTIES (best friends/worsties.) they are seeing who has better control over water. they are comparing and helping each other through their trauma. they are fighting over who has the cooler brother. they vent to each other about how hard it is being the only Girl on the team. they're training with each other with Violent hand to hand combat. they are hugging and talking about how hard lifes been w/o ray and maya. they are insulting eachother. m!Nya is taking s!nya on a 2 am bike ride while s!nya is teaching m!nya how to ask jay out. dynamic is ABSOLUTE BESTIES WHO ALSO BITE EACH OTHER IF THEY GET TOO CLOSE <3<3

• and, of course, ops favorite(s); s!Lloyd and m!Lloyd!! getting their dynamic right out of the way by saying they aren't brothers- their Twins. absolute, familial TWINS. they are each others therapists who constantly tell one another that they work too hard. the both probably think their counterpart is cooler than them. idk when this takes place in time, but if its before tlnm, m!lloyd is AMAZED at how well s!lloyd takes the mass-bullying (shows unfortunately used to it from darkleys :[) but, if it's AFTER tlnm, the entire city goes WILD 'omg they're MULTIPLYING YESSS' also, they let themselves act like kids when around one another. they both had to grow up too fast for different reasons, but the fact that they can talk to someone who Actually Gets It helps a lot :) they also compare trauma loll

Garroth's betrayal being about heartbreak sucks anyway!!

I personally think it should be about distrust and them not trusting him with that information instead of the heartbreak itself. It wasn't fully anyway in canon. He was sad and vulnerable, and then Lillian came in and gaslit him and all. But then again, within the canon, it's still said to just be about jealousy, so idk.

But just any situation where Garroth is sad and isolates himself. Then Lillian can come in and gaslight him. Lillian who pretends to be a therapist and gives him kind words. Lillian who looks a lot like his mom, honestly.

Maybe instead of the romance, Garroth is jealous of Laurance with the village. Maybe people start to like him more. Maybe that leaves him so sad or something.

Or maybe the betrayal could be more about his brother, the one whom he betrays them for. Why didn't that play a bigger part? His younger brother, what if he saw remnants of what Zane once was in him? What if he feels immeasurable guilt of Zane ending up like that to the influence of their dad, and THEN he gets a glimpse of hope. That there's still some good in Zane left that he could FIX his mistakes. If he just shows that he is there for him. He was loyal to his family long before he even knew of Phoenix Drop's existence after all..

Some of these factors, or a mix of them.

I'm just spitballing ideas, but oh well.

Definitely, Garroth acting on heartbreak makes no sense, especially since he’s going to Zane considering the distaste he’s had towards him the whole series. I really do like the idea of Garroth fearing that he was being replaced with Laurance, I think it would tie in better and yield the same results. However I do really believe Lillian had more to do with his betrayal then what was alluded to. We know she creates illusions so why not continue with that? Maybe she plagued his dreams which showed him failing to protect aphmau and phoenix drop and maybe she manipulates him into believing that if he joins with Zane it is the only way he can protect her idk but also the love betrayal really doesn’t get I guess resolved or even brought up again, it is Garroths fault (inadvertently) that they time jumped and there would be blame on him but the series just glossed over it?? Like she’s more upset that Aaron died (his fault not garroths) rather than missing the entire childhood of her son and Malachi as well considering he regained human form and is no longer “immortal”. I don’t think blame on Garroth would do the series any good so that’s why blame needs to be put on someone else. Oh hey why don’t we put it on the crazy manipulator who has proved he has no care for human life.

Thinking about what Garroth says when confronted by the group (can’t be bothered to look it up rn but it’s basically) “you guys never cared about me, Zane is the only one who has” which uhh Garroth where have you been bud so I really doubt heartbreak would make u forget that??? (Now time to look up that quote I’m curious now 😭)

Imagine Akita meeting the Lloyd hellspawn.

Hmmmmm....Akita 👀. Now that's something interesting to think about.

Lloyd's kid absolutely loves her. No doubt about that. I mean, what kid wouldn't want to pet a cute furry wolves' fur, ya know? And what wolf wouldn't feel a little annoyed about that though?

But the kid grows on her after a while, that's for sure. I know in S11, Lloyd told the team he was going to go find Zane alone, but I just like the idea of mini him deciding to tag along secretly, and Lloyd only realizes that until they're miles away from the village. And maybe she wasn't even supposed to be in the Neverrealm either — but of course, she's got too much of Lloyd's genes (and maybe even Kai's influence) to stay put in Ninjago after she saw the ninja... errr literally tie up Wu in front of her.

Oh, and during the moment Lloyd's mouth decides to use Akita as a therapist, her eyes are turning to the kid, basically as if asking whether her dad really isn't the type to shut up. Honestly, even the kid kinda knows her dad needs therapy, so she's... grateful for Akita I guess?

Do I think he’s bipolar? Mmm, not necessarily. He IS at the right age for symptoms to start manifesting, but he already sees at least 2 therapists and I would think they would’ve picked up on that already. Even if he is, he doesn’t have to share that information with ANYONE anyways. That’s the last thing the media needs to run wild with 🫠

Honestly? I just think he needs more time to figure things out. After listening to the Zane Lowe interview, it’s clear he’s still going through a lot. His mental health crisis was severe enough to cancel a world tour last year. I would think it would take more than 10/11 months to get back to “normal.” I don’t want him to rush back into anything or be pressured to do anything if he legitimately isn’t mentally ready. If he has to take more time to heal/figure things out, then I’m all for it.

It’s great that he’s back in the studio and his passion for music and writing has returned, though. That’s a huge step in his recovery ❤️‍🩹

Does Louis not use Harry if you believe some of his songs are about how he hurt him? It might not be in a good way like saying oh look how great H is but people still believe is about him so that’s using him no? I mean I know Harry’s songs have lyrics people assume are about Louis but L literally included Princess Park, that is the most obvious lyric to set a Larry off ever.

Louis lived in Princess Park with all of 1D. That was literally his life.

But you’re right, Louis has alluded to Larry, sometimes very obviously. Louis uses Larry for marketing too, and although I understand it, I don’t like it. I do like that Louis is at least being honest in his songs, telling an honest recounting (from his perspective).

Since I haven’t heard Harry’s House except against my will, I will post a friend’s opinion here about it, just for an ex-Larrie perspective:

On the flip side, Harry has also shown his perspective on his behavior in past relationships. He just admitted in an interview that he would use work and travel to avoid important conversations in relationships. He’s written lyrics of cheating (wandering hands), jealousy, called himself an arrogant son of a bitch who can’t admit when he’s sorry. He’s talked of his former partner “trying to be friends and I know you mean it,” going home and being lonely, a former lover saying “you said you miss me too/ I know you mean it.” And this is a lover he’s written “too many songs about” but that he gets the feeling that this lover “may never need him again.” He and his former partner “have run out of things they can say.” To the extent LOML is layered and may refer to a past significant lover in England as well as the country of England itself - this lover is different than the current lovers he’s involved with in the other songs, Harry says himself that he “it’s not what I wanted to leave you behind” and sings very clearly you “were” the love of my life (past tense). I don’t think these are just cherry-picked lyrics if you consider the themes and glimpses of personality in Harry’s songs too. Harry’s albums - well FL more than the word salad of HH - make some things clear. He agreed with Zane Lowe that FL was a break-up album, and made the point himself to Zane in that interview that it’s really sad when people break up. I find Walls and FL consistent and parallel in many ways, with Louis ending with OTB and Harry ending with Fine Line - imo his best song on that album. Totally agree with your interpretation of a 2018 breakup and any current reference to Larry seen by fans as marketing to the Larrie fan base or H/L giving a nod to a past significant relationship, or just coincidence.

Tbh I wish they would both leave that relationship — whatever it was — in the past.

Harry is a huge artist now. He doesn’t need it. He’s torturing himself dwelling on it. Listen to the therapist and move on.

Louis’ fanbase being mostly Larries is mostly a bad thing for his longterm career. That relationship cannot make the music better? And what he needs is to sell good music to fans, to the public. So concentrate on the music and forget the gimmicks. It’s not worthy of his talent.
