Six of Crows Headcannons: what I think each crow would wear on the red carpet
I’ve been getting into runway fashion and couture recently, and I thought this would be a lot of fun, so here are my personal outfit headcannons!
Inej
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(From left to right/top to bottom: Nina Ricci Fall 2009, Chanel Spring 1992, Amit Aggarwal India Couture Week 2019)
Okay so Inej was super fun for me. My first thought was automatically something black and sleek like the first two, but then I thought she would love wearing something that is influenced by her culture, and I thought that green look from Amir Aggarwal would look stunning on her.
Kaz
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(From left to right/top to bottom: Hermès Fall 2014, Les Hommes Fall 2015)
Do I really need to say anything? You know he’s rolling up to that shit in all black. Period.
Jesper
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(From left to right/top to bottom: Gucci Love Parade LA, Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2022, Tom Ford Spring 2023)
Running in the exact opposite direction of Kaz, Jesper would 110% wear something outlandish and in a shade so bright it’s hard to look at. These were some of my favorites I could see him in.
Wylan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(From left to right/top to bottom: Sandro Spring 2021, Fear of God Seventh Collection, BOSS Spring 2019)
Wylan was difficult for me at first, then I got inspired and had a lot of fun with it. I think he would wear something simple, elegant and in his style. I love these looks a lot.
Nina
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(From left to right/top to bottom: Christian Siriano 2018, Alexandre Vauthier Summer 2019, Ziad Nakad Spring 2021)
Nina is in a similar vein as Jesper, I think, but probably a bit more sexy and refined. I chose the first one because it reminds me of her kefta! (and the model is plus sized!!)
Matthias
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(From left to right/top to bottom: Corneliani Spring 2020, BOSS Spring 2020)
Matthias was definitely a hard one for me, because he doesn’t exactly strike me as a “fashion guy” lmao. But I think he would rock something white or light blue “like the ice in Fjerda.”

GRAMMYs 2024 are soon so here are some gowns I'd love to see Taylor wear to the red carpet
Zuhair Murad Spring 2024 Couture
Tumblr media
I think it's been a while since Taylor wore Murad to a red carpet event, which is a shame cause his designs are gorgeous. One of her most iconic looks in the Eras Tour is his design. Also, this screams Reputation (Taylor's Version)
Zuhair Murad Ready To Wear Fall 2023
Tumblr media
Another Zuhair Murad, yeah. I think when it comes to big, prestigious events in the industry Taylor usually wears a gown with glitter/sequins. However, I think about Taylor's 2012 & 2013 GRAMMYs look everyday and I want her to pull up in another Goddess/looking like the literal award look.
Elie Saab Ready To Wear
Tumblr media
Another designer Taylor hasn't worn to a red carpet event in a while. I can see her wearing something dark green/black for the GRAMMYs because reputation. This dress looks like a very shimmer-y snakeskin. And the slit. It all just screams Taylor to me.
Elie Saab Ready To Wear Spring-Summer 2024
Tumblr media
Turquoise because it's a shade between green (REPUTATION) and blue (Midnights). Plus, the last time we saw Taylor in turquoise was the 2015 GRAMMYs and need I remind how stunning she looked in that colour?
Julien Macdonald: Julien x Gabriela 2023 collection
Tumblr media
It looks like a pastel snakeskin. And a mirrorball. It's like the essences of reputation, Lover and folklore were poured into a gown.
Sandy Nour
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a designer I don't think Taylor has worn before. These gowns are begging for a signature red lip classic thing (that we all like). And they are black, of course, cause reputation.
Ziad Nakad
Tumblr media
Another designer Taylor has never worn before. Obviously, the black is for reputation (Taylor's Version). So is the sexy slit. But I also love pastel-sequins, crystaline design which I think fits some of Taylor's recent love for crystals.
Alexander McQueen Ready To Wear Spring-Summer 2024
Tumblr media
Finally, a look that has nothing to do with reputation (Taylor's Version). I just think this gown is beautiful. And allows for a bolder makeup look than the other gowns.

Spring 2022 Couture Thoughts
Now that the Spring 2022 Couture Week in Paris has been and gone I thought I would try and post my thoughts and opinions on the week gone by. This was also stirred on by my sudden need to post my thoughts on Dior’s very disappointing collection which kicked off the week on a limp note. However as I’d hoped some of the other designers came through and gave us all some gorgeous collections to admire and remind us why Couture Week in Paris has been sorely missed over the last two years. 1. Christian Dior You all know my thoughts on this collection from my last post (which you can read here) which was just a very bland and boring collection that was enough to send anyone to sleep within minutes of the collection debuting. Also who wants to everyday/office wear as haute couture fashion? I know I don’t and the same can be said from a lot of other people outside of Vogue a.k.a everybody else. 2. Elie Saab This collection was actually really pretty, I loved that Elie Saab was able to combine old and new designs into one cohesive collection. Lately I was starting to lose interest in Elie Saab after his ‘Charms of China’ collection from a few years ago as I just wasn't a fan of the exaggerated shoulders and the overuse of heavy materials. Whilst there was still some things I didn’t like about this collection (the paint splatter gowns especially) overall it’s reassuring to see Elie Saab hasn’t forgotten his roots when it comes to beading and embellishment. I can’t wait to see what he does for the Fall 2023 Couture Week later on in the summer. 3. Georges Hobeika What can I say other than Georges Hobeika clearly loves designing gowns that are so transparent that he may as well send his models down the runway nude. He’s stickler for a lot of beading, embellishment and thin material that was no surprise to see this pop up yet again in his newest collection. Aside from the near nudity I loved seeing butterflies scattered throughout the collection both in 3D and 2D format, it really brought the collection together. Plus it was nice to see his attempt at male couture designs not a part of this collection. I didn’t care for it previous in previous collections and I don’t care for it going forward either.  4. La Metamorphose This is a new designer that I came across by chance on another website and I was blown away by the heavy fantasy/ethereal tone of the collection. Whilst the technical side of the collection is pretty weak in comparison to bigger designers I just loved that it was different and didn’t rely on the princess gown aspect that’s a staple for haute couture these days. Overall this collection just screamed fairycore that I can see a lot of people using as inspiration for their own creativity. 5. Schiaparelli I won’t lie I’ve never been a fan of this designer and never given their collections much thought. However their Spring 2022 collection came out after Dior’s borefest and reinforced the idea that there was more fun collections to come. This collection was very avant garde but I can see a lot of the designs featured in the collection coming to out to play when the Met Gala rolls around at some point this year. I can’t think of much else to say other than it stood out and will be loved by those who are a bigger fan of Schiaparelli than I am. 6. Ziad Nakad Hallelujah Ziad Nakad finally found a decent photographer to take photos of his couture collections that you can actually see in detail! Since the start of the pandemic Ziad Nakad has opted for photoshoots rather than runway shows for his couture collections and the shoots themselves have been so disappointing that you just couldn’t see the details of the gowns due to weird lighting and shots of the gowns taken from afar. So you can imagine my delight to see his ‘MuZeum’ collection photographed well that showed off his designs in all their glory. One thing I noticed and loved the most was seeing fabrics from old collections reused in this one, it shows that more designers are thinking about sustainability and recycling when it comes to use of fabrics. Fingers crossed we continue to see more of this in the future. 7. Zuhair Murad Perfection. A masterpiece. My absolute favourite collection. Yep I’m not afraid to say it, Zuhair Murad takes the crown for the best Spring 2022 Couture Collection from Paris Fashion Week. I loved the nautical theme, the use of the beige colours interjected with pinks, blues and even black. Not to mention the embroidery on both the map designs, the ocean waves and ships to really made this nautical theme come together as a whole. However my favourite part of the collection though was the geometric lines in the lilac and silver gowns towards the end of the collection. My mind was blown away by how much they stood out and they added a modern touch to a collection that touches on a part of history that we’ve seen done so many times from the film and TV world. Who’d have thought Zuhair Murad could make pirates and sailors look stunning without it becoming cheesy at the same time? Bravo Zuhair Murad, bravo! 🙌🏻 So yeah that’s my thoughts on Spring 2022 Couture Week, feel free to let me know in the comments below your thoughts on the newest collections. Perhaps there’s something you loved that I didn’t? Remember fashion is art and art is subjective to opinions that might differ from my own, either way though I’m curious to hear all you’re all thinking.
