I'll be honest, trying to figure out the same dude with the same palette and similar details in different race frameworks was challenging, but very exciting! Zygerrian is a personal favorite so far, gonna work on his design further (:

Parents and their children!

Those sketches stayed with me for a few months, so I decided to finish them.

The fisrt one: Daddy's girl - Young Theo and her father Liaandor.

The second one: Dear Padawan - Jedi Master Ullan and her large Padawan Nita ( Niteczka ).

The sketch with the Padawans standing around Zeen was the first concept. I'm glad the creative team went for the final direction, as it is my favorite piece in the book. I like the happy atmosphere.

I'm up to the Zygerrian slaver arc next, which I'm not dreading quite as much as the Umbara arc, which is a little odd seeing as it's an arc about slavers. I know some fairly grim and awful things happen but I get the impression that it's not quite on the level of the utter emotional devastation that was the Umbara arc.

Also, ngl, I am very much looking forward to Rex in the Zygerrian armour and his "I'm no Jedi" moment, whereupon I will most likely combust.

thinking again about how much I wish more sentient species in Star Wars had tails

there's like... almost *none* in current show/film canon. not sure about the comics. think there might be some mentioned in books but with no visuals only text descriptions.

lots of aliens with other feline and/or canine features for instance... but never including tails??
